DMD 2025(?) - The Pros and Con-fusion

Domundi had its annual unveiling of upcoming shows, and like the liar it is, we were told all the shows on the 2025 lineup would be coming in 2025.

So even though I highly doubt that, I'm going to go through the pros and cons of each show according to my feelings and vibes since I'm always excited to see boys kiss their homies (and the possibility of more girls kissing their homies too!).

Zomvivor

The only non-BL show on the roster about a group of students fighting for their lives against zombies.

Pros: I have waited three years for this damn show, and I'm finally getting it DURING HALLOWEEN! Plus it looks like Boss and Boun are still in it!

Cons: I have waited three years for this damn show, and I'm not getting it until the end of this year!

Love Upon a Time

We got a new pilot for the show that depicts a college student being sent back in time to figure out who tried to kill his past self as we watch him fall in love.

Pros: This pilot fleshed out more of the story and although it still has some of the same beats, it feels different enough to showcase the pair's strengths.

Cons: Tonnam in brown face because he plays a servant and laborers must be dark-skinned.

Your Third

A worker is sent by his boss to collect the boss' younger brother, but hijinks ensue, and the worker ends up falling in love.

Pros: MaxNat!

Cons: I'm a MaxNat fan; therefore, there are NO cons! NONE!

Mr. Fanboy

A fan of a famous actor lands the dream role acting with his idol only to realize the business is more vicious than he imagined and sometimes it's best not to meet your faves.

Pros: Auau and Save look perfect for these roles, plus Jur from Jinloe is acting as support. On top of that, we get James looking delicious!

Cons: It is going to deal with shipping and toxic fans, which I feel most of the offerings we've had lately about those subjects have missed the mark in some way, so I'm hoping this one hits its target.

You(r)tuber

After being betrayed by his boyfriend and his best friend, a shy guy decides to step in front of the screen and prove he has what it takes to be a star with the help of his cameraman.

Pros: COOHEART! And he was being The Worst™! Also, I think it's color-coded.

Cons: Intouch is lying right? He was not the person Khun was supposed to meet, right? He just heard the name and decided it was his chance to get involved in Khun's life because he has a crush on him, right?! RIGHT?!

Duang With You

A boy openly chases after the most popular guy in school much to the popular guy's amusement.

Pros: We didn't get enough of this pair in Your Sky, so I'm excited to see what they bring to this series, and I like that the shy guy will go after the popular guy only to realize he might be in over his head.

Cons: That odd top/bottom discussion at the end of the trailer was a misstep in what had a been a solid trailer.

Restart

I have no clue, but this is the one I'm most excited for because I *think* a student gets a second chance to destroy the elite who hold the power to decide who lives and dies within an oppressive school system.

Pros: TOPTAP AND POPPY!!!!!!! Also, this is what all those GMMTV and Korean shows about crazy schools hinted at, but now Domundi is committing to it. There were so many naked bodies in this, and it's going to be QUEER with so many BL boys with the possibility of making out with each other, yet Tommy is going to hold down the fort for the heteros.

Cons: Grown ass men in school uniforms.

Magic Lover

Three wizards get sent to the human realm to find love in thirty days or they will be turned into animals for eternity.

Pros: First, color-coded wizards! Then, three different stories that revolve around high school enemies, a coffee shop with a mentor and mentee, and a boss and his secretary. My ass is sat! I'm excited for this because I love that Thomas gets to be a little bitch while Jimmy is going to be the mentor who falls in love. Oh, and that ending when Kong's character said if it was between sex or a life as an animal, he was picking that animal life.

Cons: Did you not read there were color-coded GAY wizards?! There are no cons! This is us winning!

HugELhee The Musical

An aspiring musician falls on hard times when his mother becomes ill only for another problem to arrive in the form a wealthy kid trying to get his land.

Pros: It's a musical! I know I hate when a boy sings his feelings in a BL, but starting with the premise of this being a musical changes everything. It's queer. It's camp. It's theater!

Cons: Twins?! I guess.

Thomas x Kong

They had two other series announced: Your Sky of Us which will continue their story from Your Sky with the two other couples in three episodes, and Unknown Lover which is about a boy who goes to New York after being betrayed and gets involved with a bad boy who shows him a whole new world (OF SEX!).

Pros: I think Your Sky of Us was filmed during the filming of Your Sky because those Q's were long, so I'm hoping we can get that soon. I also think these two can do well with high heat, so Unknown Lover seems like it'll be good with them, but that was part of the 2025+ lineup, so it might be a minute before we see it.

Cons: If some fans were in their feelings about Rak wanting sex in Your Sky, I hate to see how they feel with an adult Rak in Your Sky of Us and Kong getting a sex education in Unknown Lover.

Engineering: Crazy in Love

Not much is known except Tutor and Yim will be one of the pairs, but I missed which one (if it was even stated). This was also part of the 2025+ lineup, so we'll see it in 2028. EDIT: Apparently, it's a reboot of the Animal Line (Dinosaur Love) stories, so Lord help us all.

Rak Nee Mai Dai Service

After his reputation is ruined, an actor turns to a reality show only to be partnered with a famous idol who apparently hates the gays.

Pros: I like the plot!

Cons: It's part of the 2025+ lineup, so we will see it in 2029.

GL Series

All that is known is that the company plans to have a GL series, but it is part of the 2025+ lineup, so we will get it in 2030.

DMD Sitcom

It is going to feature the company's entire roster, but I didn't understand what exactly it would be, but knowing Domundi, we will probably get it next month and it'll be like Rose in Da House, which I ain't mad about!

Hope to see these show before 2030!

I really thought Your Sky was going to be a sweet, silly little show. Honestly, I never expect much in the plot department when it comes to Domundi shows. They know how to cook in the chemistry department, and they lean heavily into how fire their pairings are to carry bad scripts. It's FINE. I'm always going to watch their stuff because FIRE CHEMISTRY.

So, color me surprised that Your Sky is actually saying something to me. I'm not even sure if it's intentional, but this show has really shone a light on the way women are often backed into corners via the pressure society places on us to be kind and considerate, often to the detriment of our autonomy.

And the most brilliant part is they're using a man to show this. It's only episode 4, and we've gotten so many examples of behavior that women can deeply relate to.

The lesson being, you should NOT have an audience for confessions, proposals, or asking someone out. It doesn't have anything to do with anyone else. Leave other people out of it. Teerak has had this happen twice now - with Oh's friends around to pile on in his pursuit of Teerak and with his ex-girlfriend's birthday confession. It was nice to see the ex acknowledge that she was actually the cause of that outcome by putting Rak in an uncomfortable position.

Teerak's physical cues should have been enough to tell Oh that he's making Teerak uncomfortable, but Oh doesn't see Teerak as a person. He's a possession, and possessions don't have autonomy. They have owners. And that's why he's suddenly in vengeful pursuit. He was never going to take no for an answer, but now that Fah showed up, the thing he wants has an owner, and it's not him. He can't stand it. How many women do you know who wear a fake engagement ring or use the "i have a boyfriend " excuse to get out of unwanted pursuits? Men don't respect women because to a lot of them, women are possessions. They respect women's owners. 🙂

Fah, on the other hand, is the standard. When he put Teerak in an uncomfortable position by saying he was his boyfriend, he apologized and then asked Rak how he wanted to move forward. He let Rak take the lead and does his best to give him the space to make comfortable decisions for himself. He LISTENS. He sees Teerak as a person and treats him with all the respect Teerak deserves.

I don't know! I'm just loving this little show. It's sweet and heartwarming, but it's also got some things to SAY.

GMMTV’S “SNEAKY” MARKETING

I’ve never really looked closely at those trending posts GMMTV puts out but something about the design of the one for “Leap Day” amused me, so I wanted to break it down for fun.

Since GMMTV is a management company, they have to regularly promote their artists—and by proxy the series they’re in—to potential advertisers. According to Tha, they used to do this by showing advertisers the TV ratings and viewing numbers for a series, but times have changed, and now advertisers are asking for Online Engagement Numbers. Trends, especially.

So, check this out with me:

(This isn’t to pick on “Leap Day,” it’s just the post that caught my attention.)

The top numbers are Twitter trends for the hashtag #LeapDaySeries. That’s common, and I’ve seen that before.

What amuses me is that “2.6M+ views in 24 hours” bit, because that made me go, “Whoa, really?” I know GMMTV series tend not to get 1M+ views on YouTube overnight, so I went to check.

192k views is not 2.6M+ views.

So you read the fine print beneath the giant red numbers:

FROM ALL ONLINE PLATFORMS COMBINED

And then I thought, “Oooh, sneaky.” Because how are you counting that 2.6M+ exactly? What does “all online platforms” mean? Which platforms? Are you counting views on reposted videos also? How many views are repeat users?

It’s clever, because in all likelihood, GMMTV’s hoping all advertisers care about is the big red number and not how they got it.

Part of me wonders if they’re obfuscating the numbers because other management companies are starting to challenge them. IDOLFactory and Domundi make fewer series, but they’re starting to produce better quality series.

And just yesterday, an interview with KristSingto was released where they said they’re conscious that they’re in an era now where consumers are spoiled for choice, so they’re determined to keep the quality of what they produce as a khuujin. SOTUS might have ushered in the Thai QL wave, but they have no illusions or goal of taking the top spot again. They’re happy to create quality series for anyone who loves them.

Of course, GMMTV is under Grammy, which is a massive corporation that gives them a good deal of resources and clout, but they nearly went bankrupt once (only rescued by SOTUS), so they’re not invulnerable.

One of my main criticisms of GMMTV is that they’ve started churning out dozens of series in the apparent hope that one or two will be a viral hit, but the quality overall of what they create has dropped, and I hear more and more international fans starting to equate GMMTV with poor quality series. Personally, I only ever see about three pilot teasers with promise from any given GMMTV showcase, and of those three, maybe two of them will follow through on their potential.

It’s all about the bottom line, but there’s more than one way to get there. GMMTV’s seems to be mass series production, top spender events, merchandise, and online platform subscriptions. Which makes for good business, but not so great for the quality of their series’ storytelling, directing, acting, visuals, sound, etc.

There will always be plenty of viewers who want the eye candy first and queer representation second (if at all), so GMMTV doesn’t necessarily need high quality series. If they throw two half-naked men onscreen and have them sell a bit of sunscreen or a printer, the trends will soar.

Since GMMTV is just the management side, the quality of their actors’ series is down to the actual production teams. Like I love to say, Waa knew “Be My Favorite” wasn’t going to soar in the trends, but it was a passion project for him, so he and his writing team took their time with it. As a result, BMF is one of the best series I’ve seen from GMMTV. But, in the year and change since BMF aired, you almost never hear about it.

That’s because, presumably, there’s no benefit to GMMTV acknowledging a series starring a pair who aren’t an official khuujin with merchandise and events. Even though it’s an incredible series on every measurable scale, “Be My Favorite” isn’t GMMTV’s success: it’s the production team’s. I used to be annoyed with GMMTV for essentially pretending it doesn’t exist, but I just had to remind myself over and over that they’re a management company, not a studio. Krist is already in their most legendary khuujin, so it benefits them to pretend the blip where he worked with someone else never happened. I get it.

But also, watch “Be My Favorite” because Waa is an incredible director and he really outdid himself with it.

Aaanyway, I guess I just wanted to ramble about the business side of BL for a bit.

the other day i saw tlefirstone's chinese nicknames so i got curious and tried to search the chinese websites using google translate and my old trustworthy chinese - vietnamese machine translator dichngay.com. after looking around on bilibili, douyin, xiaohongsu (rednote), and some of my fav cp weibo super talk, everything is fine. the fandoms are mostly small and are not making much noise but they are peaceful and lovely.

but then, i probably made a wrong decision to skim through this douban group for thai bl community called "泰腐小组" and now i'm eternally grateful for every reddit moderators out there.

it gave me some insights to how chinese fans consume thai bl, what they think about cp, the industry and companies. i learnt that two people in a cp in a couple job doing "too much" interactions with their fans and not with each other can be perceived as seducing rich solo fans and 雄竞 (male competitiveness). (meanwhile once a month i will read thai fans tweeting shutting down one entitled fan who were berating their idols for not interact with them in the event but whatever). reading all the gossips is fun of course. i enjoy their grudges towards 'only friends' serires.

but it is also twitter hellsite or badly moderated unpopular opinions subreddit in forums form. it's like they know these poor actors will never know what they are saying so they just say all kind of shit. talking shit about actors' faces. bodyshaming, fatshaming constantly (somehow earthmix catching strays under replies a lot). accussing them of ridiculous things. searching up dmd boys, got me 1 post with many namping's unflattering photos bashing his appearance with more than 150 replies mostly agreed, many posts cursing at james. fort got accused of not being professional towards his partner but instead obsess with boss and sailing a ghostship with him (???? wth).

even misogyny i think, because they seems to have this huge digust towards fangirls and more effeminate men. some of them even said dmd is "feminizing" the uke / shou in all their cps to sell and they're "too much" and "gross". they got topics to post proofs of actors dating or actors' controversy but lacking all sort of nuance and awareness. it's either true or you are a delusional fangirl. they act all high and mighty like only they know the truth.

this community got 35,814 members and is currently active. can anyone knows chinese or familiar with chinese internet culture tell me this is the norm online or just a minority? i thought vietnamese bl fans community is the worst but now i'm horrified ngl 🥲

In the reality series DMD FRIENDSHIP, young men in Thailand are brought together to compete to win the series and connect with the partner of their chose.

In the first season it included Thomas, Kong, Keng, Namping, TeeTee etc. TeeTee seem to have an interest in Thomas as he chose him for "friendship time" but Thomas had his eye firmly on Kong but TeeTee also seemed interested in Kong.

Thomas made it clear to TeeTee that he will and would chose Kong.

Sadly TeeTee did not find a partner in the first DMD FRIENDSHIP REALITY SERIES but in Season 2 he returned in Episode 2. The new season included Auau, Save, Por etc. At season's end Por chose TeeTee and TeeTee chose Por. Together they won Season 2. The prize a series with Domundi/Mandee Work.

TeeTee joined Por on Your Sky reuniting him with his brothers (in the sense of friends) Thomas and Kong.

Now THOMASKONG & KENGNAMPING more or less tied as winners of Season 2 but KINGNAMPING were named the winners. THOMASKONG got your YOUR SKY leads (unfortunately they had to drop their roles in THE NEXT PRINCE and were replaced by NETJJ) while KENGNAMPING were cast as leads in their own series KHEMJIRA (COMING SOON)

Now PORTEETEE won Season 2 so I wonder if they will get their own series beating out AUAUSAVE as well as JJ (now partnered with NET) as well as OHM (now partnered with JIMMY who is TOMMY'S EX)

TeeTee is now with Por and believe it or not TeeTee is only 19 years old and is younger than his partner Por (he's 22) as well as Kong (he's 21) and Thomas (he's 23)

There's so many actors I'd love to finally see as the lead in a BL - mostly solo actors because they started their acting careers as side characters, love rivals or villains so there's so much potential to pair them with other fresh faces.

Someone who immediately comes to mind (surprising, I know lmao) is Winner Tanatat because I love him dearly and he's reliably been stealing the show for me wherever he pops up. He's basically taken Big Thanakorn's place on top of the third wheel podium now that Big FINALLY got his well-deserved main role.

I also can't believe domundi have been sleeping on Poppy Ratchapong for so long. Yes, he's talented and funny but have you considered giving Poppy a boyfriend?? Maybe make it Nont Intanont because they both looked really good in Nont's MV for ธรรมดาที่ไหน:

Then again, domundi have also been sleeping on Mark Sorntast until recently when he's been looking like that FOR YEARS.

And gmmtv isn't much better. I mean, Papang Phromphiriya exists. I know I'm not alone in wanting him as the lead in a BL (or any show, really, just give me more Papang I'm begging you gmmtv 😭).

I'm also very partial to Kay Lertsittichai but gmmtv seem to have firmly typecast him as the villain now. Which is an injustice (I like his villains though - they're very pathetic and wet).

Same with idolfactory and Heng Asavarid. Someone free these men from their status as morally questionable side characters!

Unpopular opinion time but this scene with Heng and Nat Sakdatorn in The Sign stole the whole show for me. The things I'd do for more HengNat. 🫠

Then there's Kokliang Parinya who's posting the most beautiful photoshoots on his insta EVERY DAMN WEEK yet somehow he's not been the lead in a BL even once. That man's a medical doctor ffs please someone cast him as the leading man. 🙏

I also need justice for Non Ratchanon (even though he's been in a short story compilation by Director Golf and in a few other things like The Rebound but that just shows how well he can act) and I'd love to see him as the lead in a fully-fledged 12 episode BL.

The same goes for Bank Chanwut. I MEAN JUST LOOK AT HIM (and imagine what could have been if 9NAA didn't mess up Beyond the Star).

And I generally don't understand how Rossi Nonthakorn isn't everywhere after On Cloud Nine (yes technically he was playing the lead here and in another shortform series along with Non Ratchanon but that's not the same innit).

This is getting far too long already but I can't believe I almost forgot about Boss Thawatchanin who can do cute and, uh, whatever else that was with Gap Jakarin in Norrasing (but, really, I don't mind, give me more GapBoss):

And what about Na Naphat? He made me like Tawan in Kinnporsche (he did everything wrong and I love him) AND WE WERE PROMISED NA AND FIAT PATCHATA IN WISH ME LUCK!!

There's really so many other actors that I'd love to see in the spotlight in their own series. Like JJFong in a proper show where they aren't relegated to comic relief. Or JJUs now that they're freed from BOC's basement. Or PromMark because they've been trying to sail their ship for years now (and they recorded a song together that's still one of my faves) but maybe we'll finally get lucky in Jack & Joker. 🤞

to expand on some of perth’s frankly shitty takes as a queer asian myself, i think it’s disingenuous of him and the fandom to infantilise these actors and act like there’s an “over-saturation of bls”. sorry in advance this is gonna be a long one.

to address the first point - all these actors are grown autonomous people who know what roles they’re taking. as i said in the tags of another post addressing this if you don’t want to act out sex with another man… don’t act in gay media. the primarily gay male writers don’t owe their straight actors a fairytale romance to justify portraying filthy dirty gay sex. gay people aren’t chaste, innocent people who stare at each other longingly and then dead fish kiss each other then never touch again. most have sex - casual or monogamous. portraying that isn’t exploiting actors. to act like the former is true is fetishising real queer people however.

now i have my critiques of certain companies *cough* domundi *cough* who cast actors who are quite literally barely legal with men in their thirties. however that is a completely different conversation around legal consent vs. ethics when money is involved.

now the big doozy - the bl industry being “over saturated”. oooft. firstly if people aren’t getting mad every time ANOTHER version of boys over flowers with the exact same plot is made then this just isn’t a valid take. but also, i’ve been watching queer dramas from all over asia since around the time gun started his career. for any other people who have also been around that long - congrats here’s your age pension card - but also you’d know it was slim pickings. we had either no proper representation or bad representation like addicted. when the BL boom in thailand hit that was HUGE. it meant not only did queer asians have a whole industry to see themselves in but also queer actors had somewhere to go. was it perfect? absolutely not but it was so necessary. the straight actors and fans taking part really need to take SEVERAL seats before saying anything like “there’s too much queer media”. no. there will never be “too much”.

if these actors are ever legitimately uncomfortable taking these roles it’s not like companies like GMMTV don’t make straight dramas. if you as fans don’t like the sex heavy shows go watch the dramas w the younger actors or god forbid just unpack some of your weird homophobia.

but we are allowed to want both quality and quantity. there’s room for both. not every dramas has to be as immaculately shot and thought out as things like ATOTS and Not Me.

i am honestly disappointed perth would spread such harmful rhetoric but i hope this sheds some light on why it’s Really Bad

Cooking Crush Ep. 3 Cut Scenes

I reported on the missing scenes from YouTube's version of Cooking Crush for the first two episodes [first, second], so I'm here to do it a third time!

Prem taught Ten how to light a fire (very metaphorical), but I know you crazy kids love arm veins, so enjoy Gun's!

Which means Prem had to blow on the tinder to get the kindling started, and I feel 72% sure Ten had feelings about it

Because he ran away to grab a fan to blow on the tinder (that would not work but I'll allow it)

And this was when Ten questioned Prem for keeping his distance. Ten told Prem he didn't have to stand so far away from him, and he also stated he thought it was cute that Prem was doing that

After the phone call Prem had with Ten about Ten paying him 200,000 baht, Prem called Dy to go eat with him, but Dy was too tired from unpacking his stuff

These two decided to stay in and drink instead

but Dy pulled this liquefied bag of steamed sponge cake out first (men!)

Prem withdrew ALL of the money because he was worried he'd click on a scam link and his account would get hacked. His sister tells him to let her know where he hides it, and he tells her to take a few bills out at a time so he won't notice she is stealing it. It's hella cute, and knowing this is Gun's real sister makes it better.

After Ten left the tennis court, these two decided to play another round, but Fire got a text from Jane and bounced as well leaving their homie all alone.

After Prem told his friends he got reservations at the restaurant, Dy gave him a jacket to wear once he convinced Prem to change. Dy calls it his "lucky" jacket because Prem will get lucky in it. He got it from his senior mentor and believes in its power.

The boys make sure Prem looks right and smells good before his not-date date with Ten

The friend groups (or guardian angels as they call themselves) in this show are the best. Domundi has competition!

Ten was doing something that involved blood, so he tries washing the smell out, but it lingers, which is why he runs to the locker room to get freshened up.

THIS IS IMPORTANT!

JANE REALLY DID SHOW UP AT FIRE'S with that pot present!

She suggested they use it, but Fire asked "where?" because the child did not understand that she wanted in his place!

But then when she walked in, he made *A* face! He has feelings about this and they aren't positive.

So, to sum it up, Prem and his sister's interactions are adorable, Fire is not feeling Jane the way he thought he would, and I love the friends.

Yeahhhh, I noticed some fans can be kind of intense. And tbh, I kinda get it? Because like, they've centered their personality around someone else's relationship. Their happiness relies on someone else's happily ever after. And I notice that bl fans tend to either come in full tin hat shipper flavor, or tired and jaded of the industry. And like, i just feel like there's room for more?

Most couples I am aware and happy with the fact that it's for show, a work wife type thing, flirty best friend vibes. Like, if I got paid to flirt with my bestie I would!

But then there are some, that I kind of refer to as shrodinger's ships. Like. I don't EXPECT them to come out, ( or do I) but I also wouldn't be surprised.

Is it fan service? Probably. Is there also a kernel of truth to it? Maybe. Like, genuine affection does not exist within a vacuum that excludes the bl industry.

It kind of reminds me of the kafabe of wrestling. the blending and blurring of someone's stage persona and their "real" persona. The situationships that Thai bl couples are peak.

My secret desire is for a ship to go public, and then for there to be a meta as hell adaptation of their own love story, friends to lovers, fake dating au style.

I am always a slut for multi shipping and poly shipping, And zee desperately needs someone to treat him like Babygirl, he gives me secret sub vibes. Like, I adore he and nunew, they are the cutest thing, and you can tell there's genuine comfort and care there, but someone needs to put him on his knees, pet his hair and tell him he's pretty. And as much as I feel like nunew would do so, I don't think it fits their current image. Lol.

Max is obviously the best option. The go to domundi daddy. (although I will say a daddy is not a proper daddy until they're 40. Where are the old men?)

all jokes aside, i honestly do have way too many wishes when it comes to what i want to see from GMMTV and most of them are very hyperspecific, so instead of giving you just an endless list of whatever random ideas or pairings i’d like to get (which is maybe more appropriate for a bingo card or something like that), i kinda condensed it all into some more general categories (sort of. a couple fo these are still pretty specific ;;;;;;;;)

anyway, here we go!!!!

1. WOMEN. literally my top wish after anything jimmysea related is MORE. WOMEN. like srsly give me viewjune as the main pairing in a GL!!!!!!!! give me sizzy in any combination!!!!!!!! give me women centring shows where the women actually get treated as the main characters!!!!!!!! give me the GL version of series like only friends and we are where the women get to be silly and nasty!!!!!!!!! give me jamie kissing women as a treat to me specifically!!!!!!!!! GIVE. ME. WOMEN.

2. historical QL. after the success of i feel you linger in the air and with both idolfactory and domundi working on releasing historical QLs in the near future, i think it’s about time GMMTV also gives us a proper one. possibly with no time travel or reincarnation involved, for once

3. plot driven QL. this is kinda tied to my wish for an actual slow burn and partly to the following point as well, but i do desperately wish we could get a QL series where the romance is obviously still there, but it’s not the main focus of the show, or at least not the only one. something like manner of death or triage, where the romance just happens along the way as the story unfolds. i think the closest GMMTV got to it was with not me, but it would be nice to get more, even if i know this is not everyone’s cup of tea

4. some variety please for the love of god. look, i know we’re never gonna get rid of school settings and office romances, so it’s pointless to wish to have none of those, but i do desperately need a bit more diversity. of the fifteen series announced in part 1, seven of them are set in school. SEVEN. that’s basically half of the offer they’re giving. and okay, if we consider only the QL shows then the ratio is better (3 out of 9), but still. give me thriller shows, give me horror shows, give me fantasy shows, give me sci-fi shows, give me jobs that aren’t just office workers or chefs, give me mystery, give me crime, give me cashiers and doctors and detectives and firefighters and taxi drivers and teachers and librarians and waiters and bartenders and mechanics and lawyers and flight attendants and therapists and farmers and hairdressers and reporters, JUST!!!!!!!!! explore something new!!!!!!!! take some risks!!!!!!!! i know GMMTV as a company is not as big as we think it is and that it focuses on teens and new generation audiences, but i don’t think younger people want to see students and office workers exclusively……

5. QL exploring other sexualities and gender identities. just give me ace main characters, trans main characters, non-binary main characters, ALL THE DIFFERENT QUEER MAIN CHARACTERS!!!!!!!

6. pepper/papang/guy/podd in any combination as a main pairing in a QL. love and light to all the rookies but if GMMTV doesn’t give these men some main roles im gonna start committing grand scale larceny to cope
