We had this #Honda #crv in for a #dpf clean & diagnostics as the dpf warning light had come on a couple of times. After carrying out a manual pressure reading, smoke test and live data check it was found that there was no faults? We called the customer for some more info and subsequently found the fault... the low tyre pressure warning had been on for several weeks!!! This error had prevented the vehicle from carrying out its own regen and caused the light to come on. This #Nissan #qashqai came in in #limpmode and several DPF warning lights on!! A quick #diagnostics check showed a high level of #soot accumulation over 50grams and a major restriction in exhaust gas flow. We then carried out a manual check of back pressure which was 7psi at idle rising to 11psi when revved!!! This #ford #mondeo came in for a #secondopinion as the owner had been told by another #mechanic that the #dpf was knackered and needed replacing at a cost of £2150!!! After a quick plug in with our #snapon #diagnostics machine it was clear that something wasn’t right... we put it up on our ramp and did a visual inspection and found the fault immediately! A split/broken pressure sensor pipe. This #Vauxhall #insignia has been in and out of garages for weeks with #dpf issues! The owner has paid upwards of £60 each time it’s been looked at and been told that “there’s nothing they can do” or “it needs a £600 dpf” or “map it out”!!! He read our superb reviews on the #internet and gave us a call... we went out to his work address in #Buckley to carry out initial diagnostics so he didn’t need to take time off work. Straight away we found the problem with just a visual inspection! First of all the intercooler pipe had come away from the intercooler and secondly the dpf pressure pipe had deteriorated so much it wasn’t connected at all! We replaced the pressure pipe with some new #silicone heat resistant pipe and re-attached the #intercooler pipe. Once all this was done we carried out our computer #diagnostics using #snapon #modis The fault codes found related to the two mechanical faults we found.... ‘low boost pressure’ & ‘dpf pressure too low’ We cleared these codes and checked all live data before carrying out a dpf regen, afterwards we took the vehicle for a #roadtest and found it #running & #driving like it should, no more limp mode or smoking and all #performance restored☺️ #anothersatisfiedcustomer #noproblems #dpfproblems #fixed #northwales #flintshire #hansoncement (at Buckley, Flintshire, United Kingdom)

This was Ryan’s Citroen relay that had been having DPF issues for some time and now wouldn’t accelerate over 30mph! We diagnosed the fault to be the pressure sensor giving inaccurate readings and the diesel dosing pump being inoperative... after replacing these items we could then read the dpf values which showed that it had failed to regen 60 times and that there was 44grams of soot in the filter! After performing our patented Terraclean dpf clean we reduced the soot level down to just 5 grams and managed to successfully do a passive regen👍 afterwards the vehicle is out of limp mode and accelerating as it should. #dpf #ellesmereport #terraclean #fixed #dpfclean #dpfproblems #wirral #citroen #relay (at NW Auto Services Ltd, Cheshire)

#ford #transit in today for a #dpf clean & #diagnostics ... van stuck in #limp mode! The dpf was found to be 216% blocked with 8psi of back pressure and we found error codes for #glowplugs and #soot accumulation, on further inspection we noticed it had had a new vaporiser fitted? A quick call to the owner and he explained that he’s had issues in the past and that the vaporiser was fitted last year and a regen was performed... time to dig a little deeper! We checked the operation of the vaporiser and found that it wasn’t working as it had no power getting to it? A quick check in the fuse box and found the fuse & relay had blown! We replaced these, cleared the error codes and again checked operation of the vaporiser... it was now working! We carried out our #Terraclean #dpfclean to reduce the soot accumulation before carrying out a successful #regen where all temperatures raised correctly and soot content dropped to 0.01%👍 Another successful job completed and another satisfied customer who can now drive his van as it should be driven.
