I'm reading the Nikolai duology and is so funny and endearing for me that one part when Zoya ties her hair with the ribbon in front of Nikolai, and his mind basically just go:

I just want to mention how obvious Dimmock is of a mirror to John.

I'm not even going to talk about how the two of them basically look like replicates of each other:

I'm also not going to talk about how Dimmock‘s attitude toward Sherlock had changed DRASTICALLY (from the annoyance of being bossed around to steadfast loyalty) by the end of the episode:

But rather there is one shot that was framed very interestingly where Sherlock is talking to Dimmock, but instead of focusing on the inspector, he was distinctly cut OUT of the frame, while John was placed directly in front of the camera, talking up half of the screen with the focus on the MIRROR reflection of Sherlock in the back talking to said inspector:

Could this shed another light on Dimmock‘s surprising reappearance in tst except for the apparent repetitive cases?

Absolutely no idea.

Tonight, 2/23/24 at 8 PM EST, come see @jame7t and @kelleycubes further their knowledge of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game! This stream is scoped to teach viewers new, or inexperienced with the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG the basics of deck building, card appraisal, and playstyles, scoped to the 2005 GOAT format. Today for lunch I tried making @inneskeeper's Scientifically Proven Grilled Cheese, and holy shit is it good. This is, I think, the first time I've actually made a recipe I found on Tumblr, and if they're all going to go this well then I gotta do it more.

(My particular build: pre-sliced Sara Lee "brioche," Cabot Seriously Sharp cheddar cheese, honey, red pepper flakes, oregano, parsley, minced garlic since I don't think we have any fresh cloves at the moment, and a slice of thick-cut bacon leftover from last night's dinner. All ingredients portioned out using the ancient and venerated measurement known as "some.")
