This all came to me one prophetic day when I thought about a Lucky student Mondo and then it spiraled out of control, like most things in my life.

I will drop more content for it because it grabbed me by the throat but for now I leave you with the main trio of this au

Note: Chihiro is not the antagonist in trials, there isn't an antagonist in this au persay aside from the mastermind.

Next up, (probably), the other three of the 6 way comedy department that belong to their group, wonder who they are.

My brain really likes to supply me with the many ways a survivor Kiyotaka could experience angst.

ANYWAYS, Ishida and Alter Ego.

It’s very clear that, from the get-go, Alter Ego was used by Kiyotaka/Ishida as a form of coping. At first it was so that he could in a way get closure by apologizing to “Chihiro” for their death, as he blamed himself for that and for Mondo’s. Then it turned into a way for Ishida to still talk to Mondo (probably out of denial, who knows?).

And, while I know that Ishida’s time with Alter Ego would still be very short even if he were to survive, I love to think about how that sort of pseudo relationship would’ve developed were he to spend more time with the program.

Like, the only information Alter Ego had on Mondo was what Chihiro knew about him at the time. And I assume it’s less than what Taka knew. So, while the others think that Alter Ego Mondo is accurate to the real thing, Taka was bound to find some errors.

I briefly explored this idea in writing, so I’ll just use that as an example: Ishida is in the middle of a conversation with Alter Ego Mondo, doing everything he can to convince himself that he’s talking to the actual Mondo. He’s just about got it until he mentions Chuck, and Alter Ego disrupts the conversation (and facade) to ask who he’s referring to so that they could store that information away to use again during future conversation. They mean it innocently, and are not aware of how that question put a pit in Ishida’s stomach.

Were this to go on, I’d imagine Ishida try to ignore that small mistake and to to keep going like nothing happened. He continues to talk to Alter Ego Mondo whenever he can. He’s stubborn and won’t let anything stop him from talking to the one thing that resembles Mondo, even if the program itself isn’t 100% accurate at resembling Mondo.

But one mistake turns into two, and two turns into three, and so on and so forth. They can range from not knowing certain facts that the real Mondo knew, to getting information wrong, to just responding to something in a way that the real Mondo wouldn’t have. The holes in Taka’s logic just keep appearing. It becomes more evident that the Mondo in front of him is just made up of surface-level information a third party knew about him, and therefore lacked those complexities Taka knew his Mondo had.

It all comes to a head in an ugly way, Taka no longer being able to ignore that thought in the back of his head: the Mondo he knew was gone, and Alter Ego couldn’t replace him. I imagine lots of yelling and crying, maybe some furious typed messages to a confused and worried computer program who just wanted to help a friend.

But, as he winds down from his spiral, that whole thing is was pushes him into accepting what he’s been denying, as well as seeking support from the remaining students instead of distancing himself from them.

The last part is what I’m still trying to flesh out. While I like the idea, I don’t plan on fully fleshing it out in writing, as I already explored the “what if Kiyotaka survived” thing and Kiyotaka and Alter Ego’s time together would be too short to do this idea justice.

But yeah, if anyone wants to flesh this out themselves, I greatly encourage it. I’m just putting this idea out there.

Finally finished her reference. I made a Naegiri's fankid. I may have prefer Naezono, but I don't hate Naegiri, in fact I like it too as well. Meet Mizumi Naegi-Kirigiri Mizumi is more like her dad, very kind, friendly and extroverted child who has her mother's intelligence. She is Rukia's best friend who is her polar opposite and helps her dealing with her emotions. She loves detective or psychological stories and even writes her own diary. This girl loves help everyone, but even she has her limits to it. She also really loves detective stories and stars so much which is why she had a bracelet given to her. You can drop any questions you have about her. I would love to answer them all.

Decided to just post the remaining ones here in just one batch because I need to throw the ideas somewhere and I do not have the patience I would like to imagine I have, especially not with stuff I want to talk about.

First Group - The Deserved Better Gang

This man can fit so many conspiracies in his head.

Him and Mondo know each other in a daily basis because of some reasons I'll say later, you can imagine how his dead impacted the other.

She's wearing a 50's style baseball uniform, this is not her usual uniform but she likes how it looks so sue her.

The deal with the mm still happens and goes as you'd expect.

She didn't kill Hiro because she wanted, Hina was the original target for the letter so she went to confront him about it.

Aoi Asahina - Ultimate Programmer

I had to look up so many Y2K fashion girl I'm so sorry that this means you died 3rd.

Alter Ego takes mostly the form of her brother and she created both to help and cope with everything.

Her death happens because her and Makoto have heard of each other through her brother, he didn't mean to kill her he swears! Still happens, I hug her.

Second Group - Trouble Trio

Kyoko Kirigiri - Ultimate Gambler

She went to live with her dad when she was little but the deduction talent runs through her blood, she is type of player that counts card and doesn't get caught.

Eventually reconnected with her grandfather and flips her dad off a lot.

Case 3 was not for the money, it was a revenge thingy.

Makoto Naegi - Ultimate Biker Gang Leader

Still a sweethear! Just a good boy that could kick you in your knees and send you to the hospital

Started the gang more of a personal thing but then it got out of control and he doesn't know what will happen if he decides to leave (Especially since the Crazy Diamonds guys left so some of the members moved to his gang).

Sister is his second in command

Expected to get caught in Trial 2, then the whole meddling with the crime scene happened and he doesn't know how to feel about it.

That type of nerd that corrects you even if you get a tiny detail wrong because "How dare you get this wrong even if you are just starting to learn about this piece of media? You are unworthy of calling yourself a true fan!".
