. WIP Introduction .

In the crumbling heart of the metropolis known as Nocturna City, a sinister drug known as Noxiglow has taken root. Those who dare to indulge in its seductive embrace are transformed into a new breed of vampires—neon-bleeding creatures with supernatural powers.

This results in unspeakable carnage and alarm erupts throughout the city, leading to an immediate lockdown that few abide by despite the costs.

Detective Vektor “Vex” Graves, a jaded and relentless investigator, is thrust into the neon-lit abyss of Nocturna's underworld. With his AURAndroid partner, Detroit, they embark on a perilous journey to uncover the dark origins of Noxiglow and put an end to the escalating chaos and death it leaves in its wake.

As Vex delves deeper into the investigation, he infiltrates the illicit world of Nocturna's vampire nightclubs, where neon-blooded addicts revel in their newfound powers. Undercover as a hopeful vampire fledgling, Vex encounters Nokia, a captivating and mysterious vampire, and the lines between duty and desire blur.

Vex's attraction to Nokia grows, casting him into an emotional whirlwind as he grapples with the complexities of his feelings for a man he should view as an enemy and not a lover, on top of the confusion he endures over his “relationship” with Detroit.

The neon world is fraught with danger and temptation, and Vex must navigate a treacherous path to maintain his cover while unraveling the secrets behind Noxiglow's creation.

In a city where neon-lit darkness conceals deadly truths, Vex and Detroit must race against time to expose the malevolent forces behind Noxiglow and confront their own inner demons.

Vektor “Vex” Graves

Vex's day doesn't truly begin until he's had his fifth cup of coffee, though his job seldom allows him time for more than two. Coffee is a constant warm companion, helping him stay alert during long nights on the job and tiresome investigations, and some days it's the only warm companion he allows himself.

Other days, he finds himself warm under the sheets beside his work partner, Detroit.

Despite his sharp mind, Vex struggles with impatience and indecision. He can be quick to jump into action but often finds himself overthinking choices, caught between a desire for immediate results and a nagging need to weigh every option. Having Detroit as a partner ready and willing to knock some sense into him is a blessing he sometimes takes for granted.

In and outside of work, Vex is drawn to the hidden corners of Nocturna. Urban exploration comes as both a passion and an escape, allowing him to immerse himself into the quiet mysteries of decaying buildings and forgotten spaces-occasionally stumbling upon an equally decaying body along the way. And despite his advanced mechanical eye, Vex prefers to capture the essence of this dilapidated world through the lens of an old, beat-up Polaroid he found at a junk-lot.

D3TRO-17 “Detroit”

D3TRO-17 is a top-of-the-line AURAndroid [Artificial Unification & Reconnaissance Android] hired on to work alongside Detective Vex Graves. Meticulous and prone to getting caught up in the small details, having a human for a partner makes work a lot easier.

Underneath the occasional biting sarcasm and unwavering honesty, Detroit harbors a soft side that manifests in his appreciation for life's smallest joys. He finds wonder in the most simple and mundane aspects of human life, the intricacies of insects, and possesses an endearing quirk for collecting seemingly trivial objects.

If asked, he would say dandelion wishes and pinky promises are his favorite aspects of life.

Though much of his knowledge is crammed into his internal database, Detroit favors tangible objects.

Much like a teenager from a time long past who might pin media posters to his walls, Detroit's walls are adorned with scraps of paper torn from history books, loose cards from old trivia games, and dried flowers he finds between the cracks of old buildings.

Detroit longs for a sense of belonging and humanity he fears he may never achieve.

Mattix Nysoth

Mattix Nysoth is an enigmatic hermit who exists on the fringes of society. They lead a transient life, wandering wherever the night guides them, finding shelter in abandoned buildings once full of life that Mattix tries to emulate through imagined scenarios brought to life with paint and calloused fingers.

Mattix's existence is an intricate dance with danger and survival, marked by a series of illegal and improperly installed implants that are both a lifeline and a curse.

Their body bears a patchwork of these hazardous implants, each representing a desperate attempt to gain an edge in a world that often leaves them behind.

While these enhancements provide occasional advantages, they come at a steep cost, in both health and legality.

Though Mattix's demeanor is often abrasive, it is more a defensive mechanism forged from years of solitude and abandonment than a representation of their true self. Trust is a rare commodity and they've learned to keep others at arm's length unless it serves them in some form or another. However, beneath this tough exterior lies a deep desire for connection.

✧ NOTES ✧ - Although in-game she has the corpo lifepath, Valerie's career history is pretty varied before she joins counter-intel: Biotechnica data analyst, a slew of random service jobs, hostess (with a side hustle helping Jackie con some of her more notorious clients), and Arasaka security (which is how she met Jenkins). - Valerie doesn't dye her hair blue--She did when she first made the change, but she uses a cosmetic nanotech implant to alter the color of the strands at the root. - She had a very non-traditional education: Valerie was in the Night City public school system for elementary school, but she was pulled out when her maternal grandparents insisted on funding extensive private tutoring until she was 18. Learning Japanese was a part of that curriculum. - Her father was also very steadfast about the right to bear arms, and she was just 7 years old when she first learned how to handle firearms. - Valerie doesn't drink alcohol or do drugs. Addiction runs in both sides of her family, and she made the choice to go sober when she was about 27 years old. I will write Smut, oneshots, small imagines, and multichapter stories. I'm a sucker for smut, so you're gonna get that out of me once I finally get the hang of it.

Important note: I only write XReaders for now. I know that might suck for a lot of people, but it is something I heavily enjoy. I know people don't like it (Y/n, I'm looking at you), but the stereotypical cringe XReader stories that drive me up a wall will not be here. I will try my hardest to make the apperence vague, but personality might be a challenge. Though, hey! Everyone needs their practice. I can't go writing an emotionless reader, eh?

The readers I write for will mostly, if not entirely, be gender neutral or feminine. I'm sorry if this is a major letdown, but I do not trust my abilities to delve into a male reader just yet. I most write for male characters in general, and as love interests, but I can write for women when it comes to romance. I am both for ladies and gents.

Another very important note: I have a major history regarding mental health. Stress comes to me easy, and with stress comes heavy burnout. My brain gets fried, and my creativity goes down 6 feet under. All I ask is that you be very patient with me until I recover. This might mean small breaks or long breaks. Requests may be hard to handle, but if I'm ready, I'll think about doing them. You are able to send in asks! I may not be able to do full requests, but maybe some thoughts for a writing I could possibly start off with.

I am very understanding when it comes to emotional and mental related things because I have experienced my fair share of dealing with it. These topics will show up sometimes in various writings. If these bother you, worry not! Warnings will be placed.

– PANAM PALMER: From a mutually distrustful start, Dante never imagined she'd become the rising dawn to his dark times. Panam saves him in every aspect of the world, and he leaves Night City - for himself, too, but mainly for her. Who says a Corpo Rat can't turn into a Tarmac Rat with the right incentive?

– JUDY ALVAREZ: Their paths cross for the Heist, and don't entirely split since. Dante finds on her someone living in a different but same hell, and enduring it bonds them. Judy becomes his best friend and one of the few people he's truly comfortable around.

– VIKTOR VEKTOR: Without him, there simply would not be a Dante to speak of. Coming from a guild where your ripper is the person you rely the most, Vik deserves every ounce of Dante's trust. Gratitude doesn't begin to describe.

– JOHNNY SILVERHAND: Befriending what's killing you sounds impossible, but it is how things turn out. Dante carries a lot of Johnny and their shared growth from the months sharing a brain, and attributes to the rockerboy the word 'friend' easily.

– JACKIE WELLES: Losing a friend is never easy, but losing Jackie is losing a chunk of your heart. Even after leaving Night City and finding more happiness he could ever imagine, Dante would give up many things for the sake of having him back.

– MAMÁ WELLES: Much like her son, Mamá has a way to take over your heart, and Dante very much allowed her to do so. He sees her like a mother, and guilts leaving NC if only for her. But he also knows she wants his happiness, and tries to balance the two.

– GORO TAKEMURA: A constant of butting heads, different values and working methods, there is still many things in common between them. Dante regrets that events had to turn out the way they did, and truly wishes he and Goro found a way to peacefully exist. Alas.

Thrash playlist

I tried to find a balance between my favorite stuff, and stuff that I think others would like. I probably failed and lean a bit more toward my own preferences. I think I did okay balancing older and more recent stuff.

Znowhite is on it twice because because I wanted to include "Rest in Peace" but the Act of God album is not on Spotify (the live version of "Rest in Peace" is but the production is real bad). Left the big four out because everyone already knows them. No groove thrash because I just really dislike it and even though I tried to get a good spread of subgenres it would be disingenuous to include it.

I'm incapable of making playlists that aren't intervals of 80 minutes because I grew up burning CD's (having both Znowhite songs puts it over). That's part of what took me so long. But if I didn't put a time limit on it I never would have finished.

From Chapter 5: Excess

The night was stonch with madness mostly due to the fog that rolled in from the ocean over the course of the day. Castle Crimson sat in the heart of Northside just over the Watson line. Vik pulled the corners of his jacket inward as if the evening chill caused shivers down his spine. It was more likely from the uneasy feeling he got from the building. There was something off about it. He stared at it a moment or two longer before it dawned on him. There were no windows. Jet black brick wrapped around the building; there was very little light surrounding it. Only enough was provided through the stained glass front doors. A white castle crumbling beneath a blood red sky. "How fittin'." Viktor mumbled under his breath. Misty ensured him that this was the place where he could find more answers about Jenn.

Opening the door and stepping through the small entrance, Vik took a step back. It was almost enough to make his head spin; each wall was painted black, the floors were coated in a dark ebony stain. Mirrors covered most of the walls forcing the only light source to come from behind the mirrors. It gave the room a blood red hue. Heavy bass music played from a speaker hidden somewhere in the ceiling. There were a few tables and chairs around the edges of a dance floor. A dance floor that held a large cage in the center. Most likely for a dancer or joytoy.

As Misty had said, in front of him was the outline of a bar, the woman behind the counter had dark forest green hair, it was off putting from the rest of the room. Gaining his wits, Vik approached the bar, grabbing a stool he sat down. He looked at the woman who gave him a sweet smile. He had heard of Castle Crimson before. Not for the club upstairs but for the underground bare knuckle fight circle downstairs. A few bookies had offered him a match or two over the years, which he respectfully declined. Why in the hell would Jenn be associated with a place like this? "What can I get you, sweetie?" The bartender cooed at Viktor. Before he could answer, she leaned across the bar top, "Doctor Vektor, to what do we owe the pleasure? Are you here to clean up the damage?" He was sure she was referring to the fight club beneath.

"Was told to come here to get information." He pointed to one of the beers on tap, which she grabbed a glass and began filling it.

"My name's Akira and who are you looking for?" blond eyelashes fluttered up, neon green eyes scanning him. He let her, he knew it was a security measure.

"A woman. Named Jenn Greene, heard she was staying here." Vik explained while she handed him his beer. Her head tilt to the side, nodding to the stairs behind them.

"She's got a room in the back but don't even think about goin' in without her. It's pretty heavily guarded." A screen popped up across Akira's pupils, checking the time. "She should be out soon for her nightly refill."

"Never knew Jenn to be a drinker." He chuckled. Jennifer never really liked liquor. She never liked the taste of booze in general.

"She's not," Reaching under the bar top, Akira placed what looked like a wine bottle with what looked like a thick, black liquid inside. "She's quite partial to the synthetic A plus though."

Viktor stared at the bottle as it hit him. It was synth blood. "You mean blood?"

"The virus drains her iron count. Tell me, Doc, when was the last time you could get an iron transfusion never mind supplements in Night City? This shit's synthetic, says it tastes almost sweet." Akira looked up, seeing the light echo across the silhouette of the stairs. "Jenn keeps to herself mostly, 'cept for that assclown down there." She pointed to the corpo-cunt at the end of the bar. He was in a suit that smelt of sweat, taking a sip of his beer Vik turned away in disgust. "He's always trying to get her to spend time with him." The man looked over, making eye contact with Vik who glared at him. Jennifer wasn't some whore waiting in the club for easy eddies, sheer thought of some stingy, greedy corpo douche with his hands on her made Vik's blood both boil and crawl.

I got Cyberpunk 2077 for my birthday a few days ago and I wanted everyone to meet my smart ass "V", aka Poe. Yeah that's his name, Poe.

What happened was that I wanted to make a character that was reminicent the main character in one of my most favorite movies, and a film that was such a big influence as a young teenager. Obviously though that didn't happen as he doesn't look much like the amazing Eric Draven played by Brandon Lee (RIP😢 luv) in the movie The Crow

You see, Poe here just didn't think look decent with the dark hair, and I couldn't do blonde or light brown as my other boys have that trend going.

Well, since it was my birthday and I'm pretty darn cool 😉 I figured he should be a ginger just like me.

The name Poe came about because he was meant to be like Eric Draven, who had the Crow. And I know that Edgar Allen Poe didn't write about no crow, but he wrote about a raven, and I feel that, that is good enough. 😊

I'm still getting used to the combat and all of the side stuff (of which there is a lot to figure out), but damn the scenery is amazing and I spent most of my game just exploring the world.

I've already met Jackie, who has some serious dance moves. And that damn Viktor Vektor is something else 😘.

Anyways, great game so far.

there’s a start to every story

It was always disorienting being yanked out of a session. The slow transition back to reality was something that the clients could never understand, and every time her consciousness would finally settle she’d typically be met with someone either already talking or, in this case, shaking her with impatience.

“Hey? Hey! You hearing me? You’re bleeding all over the place!” He turned away from her and towards an imaginary camera, yelling “and I swear I didn’t hurt her!”

“Calm down, please... I-” Astrid lifted a hand and touched the side of her face where her fingertips came back covered in fresh blood. It was trickling down the side of her face. “The front desk will get you sorted, if you’ll excuse me.” Before he could say anything else, and he was already in the middle of doing so, Astrid stood and swiftly exited the room.

Astrid made a beeline for the restrooms where she locked the door behind her before approaching the mirrors with a growing worry. She turned her head to see a line of blood trailing down the side of her face and neck, coming from her ear. Luckily it had stopped bleeding by the time she washed it all off with paper towels, though that did little to lessen her concern. Two times she’s been back to that shady ripperdoc down the corner from the club, and each time she’s been surprised by a new, different problem with one of her implants. Astrid would be damned before she made a third trip back to end up with a brain hemorrhage, so she set about finding a new one.

Astrid had asked around, got a few names, and she ended up settling on one in Watson. Vik Vektor. Apparently, he’s the best. At least that’s what she’s heard from a few different people, even a fighter who frequents her club from time to time. And with the way he gets beat around, she figured he’d have someone decent patching him up.

Late one night after a short shift, she found herself in a dark, narrow alleyway that was dimly lit, giving the area a soft green glow. Aside from a couple guys asleep off to the corner, and a woman smoking down closer to the street, it was empty. She found the set of stairs and metal door quick enough and Astrid quietly opened the gate leading her straight into a ripperdoc’s clinic. No doc in sight, though.

She decided she’d call out in a minute, but first took the opportunity to give the place a quick look around. She walked over to his operating chair, her eyes glancing over everything; from the seat, to the the sets of tools and pieces of equipment. Looked clean enough, she noted in her head, moving just a step closer for a better look.
