okay when i started rewatching house, it took me until 3x15 but i started to notice a pattern in house's wardrobe. the scene where foreman was trying to express sadness(?) at house's (fake) brain cancer they were both wearing pink.

After that I noticed that any time house was wearing pink, they were particularly vulnerable moments. Moments that he's feeling tender or open. Moments where he is being pretty earnest.

Then I started to notice that other colored shirts came up at different times. Light blue was his most neutral state, it represents logic and reason imo. Maybe a little bit of humor. There's a lightness or surface-ness to it.

Purple represents something like consequences or grief or guilt. any time there is purple someone is bearing the weight of a decision that was made, or a complex situation.

Black represents, as you can imagine, death. the darkest moments we see house in black.

The other colors aren't as prominent, but I have theories. Red is sex, power, life, excitement, ego. tan is neutrality. white is almost naive. green is rare and house never wears it. Dark blue is still logic but more solemn, more deep. its also interesting to note the times when he doesn't wear a t-shirt under his dress shirt and leaves like 3 buttons open (hubba hubba) and when he /only/ wears a t-shirt. I think his dress shirt is almost like his armor.

So about Sign of Roses

It just fucking hit me that the different Sin-drenched Roses it summons can actually give better understanding on what those Sins mean in the grand scheme of things. Why the fuck did I not explore this earlier?

Anyway this is just gonna be a post compiling all the info each Rose can give for its assigned Sin. Specifically the status effect/gameplay mechanic each Rose/Sin appears to be associated with, the epiphets the Roses use in their Skills and Passives to describe their associated Sins, and the words the Roses' main Bodies' Passives associate with those Sins as well.

If this vacation bit falls thru completely (it's an absolute rollercoaster of hope/crushed hope/hope again rn) then I really need to get a new phone. It works fine for weekday usage, because my stand at work is its charger, but days off where I'm using it then either pocketing it or setting it next to me just drains the battery SO FAST. And if I try to use the camera, or watch videos, or hell even listen to music with the screen off? It dies even faster. And since I have to use wired buds at work now (I can't hear thru wireless ones for some reason, so I miss if my desk phone rings, etc) that just means the battery dies before it's time to drive home.

if the vacation DOES happen, then whatever, I don't need to take pics at Disney world, except for Galaxy's Edge, because it'll be my fourth trip overall AND my second trip at Christmas, so there won't be anything else I NEED pics of. And yeah, I'll still be on Tumblr throughout the day even at Disney world, but it wouldn't be like how it is when I'm home so the battery should be mostly idle and a non-issue. Plus I could keep the charger in my bag and plug it into a wall while I eat if I had to.

Whether a phone replacement is in the future or not, tho, I'm going to start comparison shopping so that when the decision to replace does come down I can immediately order whatever I've researched or its current equivalent at that time. My guess upfront is that it'll be whatever "a" series version of the pixels is current at the time, because I'm adamant about having Google's android and not an OEM (I've never met an OEM I liked). And while I like having the regular (not xl) version of each model, I recognize that price is going to be a factor so I'll probably downgrade the series.

Also, if no vacation, I'm not only getting the phone but I'm getting more art and continuing my loaded teas even at their ridiculous pricing. I'll give stuff like that up for vacation saving, but if I'm not getting a trip out of it then I'm going to at least get all of my small luxuries.

Like Fine Wine: An Informal Study of Zoro/Sanji Side Pairings

I've been curious about which side pairings crop up the most alongside ZoSan, so I decided to look into it the only way I know how: AO3 tag usage

Since people tag side pairings in either the Additional Tags section using the format Minor [Ship Tag] and in the Relationship Tags section alongside the main relationship pretty evenly, I decided the best way to go about this was to get both numbers and add them together. The way I got these numbers was by searching AO3 for works tagged with Roronoa Zoro/Sanji in the Relationship section and Minor [Ship Name] in the Additional Tags section, then with both Roronoa Zoro/Sanji and [Ship Name] in the Relationship section.

I am aware that this meant that I a) counted fics that were tagged in both the Relationship and Additional Tags sections twice, and b) counted those giant one-shot collections that tag every single ship featured even if they're only in one chapter (derogatory), which aren't quite what I'm looking for, but even so I feel this was the best way to go about it given the tools at my disposal.

As for which pairings to search, I went to the experts, aka Zoro/Sanji fic readers. I took suggestions from here, the ZoSan Club discord server, Twitter, and BlueSky. I also added the top 50 or so l tagged One Piece ships on AO3 that didn't involve Zoro or Sanji to see how they compared overall.

(Poly ships were excluded because most tagging on them also includes tagging every combination in the poly ship, and would have skewed the data)

It should also be noted that because of how this method functions, I also would have counted fics where Zoro/Sanji is tagged in the Relationships section, but is only a side pair to the main pairing. I deemed this acceptable, as the point of this quest is to see which ships go the most with Zoro/Sanji, and them being the side pairing counts. It also means that fics with these side pairings that don't have them tagged at all weren't counted, but there's not much I can do about that.

The results of all this?

Most everyone on every platform agreed that Franky/Robin, Nami/Vivi, Usopp/Kaya, and Luffy/Law were the most common. And the numbers agree:

What have we learned from this:

The pairings most popular with Zoro/Sanji tend to feature Straw Hats (Franky, Robin, Luffy, Nami, Usopp), or people who would reasonably be around the Straw Hats in an AU (Ace, Mihawk, Law, Sabo)

We as a community really need to standardize how we tag side ships. Considering writing up a Best Practices post. Will keep you posted

When everyone agrees, that's probably the right answer

I think Law/Luffy beating out Franky/Robin on the Relationship tags has to do with there simply being more Law/Luffy fic. It doesn't appear as a side pairing as much, but is often a main pairing alongside Zoro/Sanji, and a lot of Law/Luffy centric fics have Zoro/Sanji as a side pair

Doflamingo is very popular to ship around for some reason? He's in like 5 of the top 10 ships

Law is too, but like. I get that

Sabo too! Everyone really likes throwing Sabo at people

There are pairings that made the list like Killer/Penguin and Crocodile/Dragon that I assume are very popular side pairings in like Kid/Law and Luffy centric fics, but don't have a lot of showing in Zoro/Sanji fic

More studies could be done into more specific breakdowns within each side pairing, and how often Zoro/Sanji appears as a side pairing with the other ship as a main pairing, but I don't want to. Maybe later

Mostly what I learned is that i have way too much time on my hands 👍

• That's Blinky

• This is where the truth comes to light about Noah.

• Did Beverly escaped because of Rex or something happened? It isn't clear.

• When his biometrics were low he didn't try to open the door to the armory. Was it because he can't even do that when he's like that or because there's no electric power?

• It was Holiday the one to convince Rex that it's White fault and not Noahs. She told it so casually that I don't think she noticed it.

• Beverly is an EVO, How long have she been an evo? 5 years?

• Rex ran away from Providence at the end of this chapter. The next one follows up on that.

Chapter 5

• Rex is on the run, but he still helps people. He's been gone for 5 days.

• People is pretty chill about Rex being an Evo, it might help that he presents himself as a hero and savior. And when someone says something like "he's a miracle" he answers with "I'm just Rex".

Side note, in spanish he says "tu salvador" (as, i'm your savior. But in english he just says "here to help"..... Is he more arrogant in spanish???? what

• Rex doesn't like being called a "boy" by extrangers

• The family is Jacob is the dad, Cate is the mom and Caleb is the son.

• Also, I don't recall seing them in the future at all.

• This is the chapter where Rex decided to eat meatloaf and mashed potatos every friday.

• How does this actually works...

• Bobo doesn't care about personal property.

• Rex seems to be able to command machines and repair them even without electricity

• What Rex liked about that place is that it feels like a community, not like a military base. He feels like he's helpful, he usualy only feels that after curing an EVO. He feels like he doesn't belong in Providence, but his home is where his family is, that's why he goes back.

• White asked why is he gone and if he didn't have a sense of duty. Holiday answered that he's still working. that Rex is proving that he doesn't need them. The show doesn't show white face, but that is something that can linger on his mind, in the wrong way.

• Six has his own superjet.

• Rex can take electric shocks. He's quite durable

• ZAG-RS debut. She/It call it's name it's human designation.

Had they been 5 years building this place? They talk like it's like that, and that might explain what was ZAG doing all these years. The only reason they ended early was because of Rex. Also, she was able to escape because it has a big antena.

For some reason it calls itself ZAG-RS 7 in spanish...

• ZAG can "talk" to nanites, she can give them orders. She ordered Rex's nanites to protect her.
