i'm not surprised at all by this honestly, but the newest version of cotc hides most of the assets (npcs, bosses, everything but some ui stuff really) in the same way the playable character folder has been hidden for the last few months. i'm sure people who know how to really datamine can get in there, but not me. still have access to all the old stuff but nothing new indefinitely. i guess they've really just restructured it and/or decided to make it more secure :( i'll update if anything of note happens, but i don't expect it to. hopefully someone with more android skills/tools than me will pick up the sprite ripping project someday.
anyway on a lighter note. i haven't played much jp cotc since global came back but i did pop in for free dq collab unit and ended up with partitio, aka the only one of the three i liked at all.......luck is always best when you don't care that much haha
also they changed sail's name back to sail instead of saul so that's nice. bc i think of him as sail. it suits him. because it rhymes with fail. from some screenshots on the subreddit it looks like this chapter's a little better translated than previous ones, so that's something even if it's still not very good (i haven't played it myself yet)
#txt#lacecotc#three signas.......someone on dev team really likes her ig#when it comes down to it it's just a PITA to keep google translating while playing...even if netease's translations are often. worse than g#using netease translations is still faster tho and it's where all my progress is#and the global app does run a lot smoother and faster on my phone which is nice. so it's not a total loss. ups and downs#i was not expecting the global app to outlive the datamine project for me i gotta say#oh well

Data Mining Projects for Students
Data mining serves as a popular method for extracting useful insights from big datasets. Here are some interesting project ideas for students:
1. The system development examines a recommendation engine through collaborative filtering methods for delivering movie suggestions based on individual consumer preferences.
2. Social Media Sentiment Analysis examines Twitter posts and product evaluations to detect between positive and negative emotional expressions and neutral sentiment.
3. Business can group their customers into segments through purchasing behaviour analysis by using K-Means and Hierarchical Clustering algorithms.
4. The implementation of Naïve Bayes or SVM machine learning models performs the task of distinguishing legitimate from spam email content.
5. Through Natural Language Processing along with classification models we can identify fake or misleading news articles.
6. For credit card fraudulent transaction detection we apply historical data based anomaly detection methods.
7. Regression models evaluate stock market patterns which generate predictions about future market value.
8. The analysis of historical crime records enables prediction of locations with high criminal risk and their corresponding patterns.
9. Telecommunication businesses can predict customer departure through applying decision trees coupled with random forest algorithms.
10. FP-Growth algorithms from association rule mining to help users discover products which match their preferences.
These projects offer students an opportunity to study machine learning alongside clustering as well as classification methodologies. Contact our team if you require project help in Tirupati for CSE, EEE, VLSI, Embedded Systems or MATLAB projects.

Top: one of the backgrounds used many times with different palettes in Super Mario World are these abstract, highly geometric mountains.
Middle: dataminer and 3D modeler Peardian has reconstructed the entire landscape in 3D to see whether it is physically possible and how it would look at other angles.
Bottom: the mountains as seen from the side. These create the exact structure of the original Super Mario World background when viewed from the front in orthographic projection.

For everyone who asked: a dialogue parser for BG3 alongside with the parsed dialogue for the newest patch. The parser is not mine, but its creator a) is amazing, b) wished to stay anonymous, and c) uploaded the parser to github - any future versions will be uploaded there first!
UPD: The parser was updated!! Now all the lines are parsed, AND there are new features like audio and dialogue tree visualisation. See below!
Patch 7 dialogue is uploaded!
If you don't want to touch the parser and just want the dialogues, make sure to download the whole "BG3 ... (1.6)" folder and keep the "styles" folder within: it is needed for the html files functionality (hide/show certain types of information as per the menu at the top, jumps when you click on [jump], color for better readability, etc). See the image below for what it should look like. The formatting was borrowed from TORcommunity with their blessing.
If you want to run the parser yourself instead of downloading my parsed files, it's easy:
run bg3dialogreader.exe, OPEN any .pak file inside of your game's '\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data' folder,
select your language
press ‘LOAD’, it'll create a database file with all the tags, flags, etc.
Once that is done, press ‘EXPORT all dialogs to html’, and give it a minute or two to finish.
Find the parser dialogue in ‘Dialogs’ folder. If you move the folder elsewhere, move the ‘styles’ folder as well! It contains the styles you need for the color coding and functionality to keep working!
New features:
Once you've created the database (after step three above), you can also preview the dialogue trees inside of the parser and extract only what you need:
You can also listen to the correspinding audio files by clicking the line in the right window. But to do that, as the parser tells you, you need to download and put the filed from vgmstream-win64.zip inside of the parser's main folder (restart the parser after).
You can CONVERT the bg3 dialogue to the format that the Divinity Original Sin 2's Editor understands. That way, you can view the dialogues as trees! Unlike the html files, the trees don't show ALL the relevant information, but it's much easier to orient yourself in.
To get that, you DO need to have bought and installed Larian's previous game, Divinity Original Sin 2. It comes with a tool called 'The Divinity Engine 2'. Here you can read about how to unstall and lauch it. Once you have it, you need to load/create a project. We're trying to get to the point where the tool allows you to open the Dialog Editor. Then you can Open any bg3 dialogue file you want. And in case you want it, here's an in-depth Dialog Editor tutorial. But if you simply want to know how to open the Editor, here's the gist:
Update: In order to see the names of the speakers (up to ten), you can put the _merged.lsf file inside of the "\Divinity Original Sin 2\DefEd\Data\Public\[your project's name here]\RootTemplates\_merged.lsf" file path.
Feel free to ask if you have any questions! Please let me know if you modify the parser, I'd be curious to know what you added, and will possibly add it to the google drive.

I've seen many people worried that we are reaching "the end" because of the escape, especially because it seems way too good/easy to be true. As someone who dives into leaks and stuff, without spoiling anything, the escape is just the beginning of hell coming up. I have some speculation based on theory that roamed around previously; however, it contains spoilers from leaks, which should be taken with a grain of salt because datamined leaks tend to be left over/changed in updates. But rest assured, The Escape is not an endgame content
SPOILER DOWN BELOW.
This was from mined data that may or may not be interpreted correctly, so once again, take it with a grain of salt (although the escape is not the end of the game is indeed confirmed). But this is a speculation based on a theory that made an event before the Amelia update arrived.
Amy will be captured. Predictable? Perhaps. But this is Murkoff, after all. And she seemed to panic when she greeted us through the shuttle speaker, so it's safe to say she was on the run. What will happen to Amy after she gets captured? Well....
Many folks suspect this girlie will be reworked and turned into Amelia post-capture because she (as well as Climber) is the only previously hinted ex-pops that hasn't made an appearance. Climber seems to be confirmed but completely reworked in the documentary log. Now the reason why people thought she might be Ex-Pop! Amy is because of this old animation. This particular expop has the same ability with Reagent, putting traps and rigs, with two of her fingers replaced with lockpicks.
"But what's next after Amelia expop arrived?"
Remember, Project Lathe lasted at least until 1972.
We still have more to go. And Easterman going insane gives me ideas (which some folks also theorized) that he will become a Prime Asset, and there might be a new "Easterman" substituting him. And I think it may create an endless circle. A new doctor replaced him, a new breach happened, the doctor went insane, they became a PA, and then Murkoff replaced them. Amy's breach obviously won't be the only one. There will be more; she definitely inspired another Regent to lead a more advanced Escape.
And what about the Reagent that escaped through the mine? yeaaah
They may have died in the middle of nowhere before getting any penicillin or water...
This is what Amy sadly failed to realize. The facility is in the middle of nowhere. You will either die out of thirst or from Murkoff Guards' rifles.

Interfering with Halsin's Portal
It's pretty well known that there are a few situations you can get in where Halsin is well and truly angry rather than disappointed or worried, but I don't think a lot of folks know one of those situations is if you mess with his portal to the Shadowfell. It's a heartwrenching bit of acting. It's also fundamental to the plot of my in-progress fic Girdled Roots, so I figured I might share it with the other Halsin-lovers out there who have never seen it.
EDIT: Please be aware this is datamined dialog and may not be visible in game. It appears to be intended to trigger if the player attempts to enter the portal, which I don't believe is possible in the final game, or at least I couldn't find a way in the most recent version. Sharing this is simply to enjoy the incredible acting and get some plot bunnies moving, not to make any commentary about the game's canon.
Halsin's Initial Reaction
Halsin: No! Stop! Halsin: It's gone... that was our one chance. You've doomed this place to darkness! Halsin: I warned you - told you this was my burden to carry. Why didn't you listen?
The pure rage and despair is visceral. Prior to this, Halsin mentions this portal has been a century in the making, but he's so calm and measured (even upon success) that it is easy to dismiss just how much agony has plagued him as he hoped to make things right. This chance is everything to him. It has guided his every action for a century. It is a hundred years of work, prayer, and guilt to rectify the horrific fate of both land and people that came to nothing because a stranger he trusted refused to listen to him.
The portal breaking is the only time we hear Halsin speak the truth of its importance to him without a hint of emotional regulation. He is wild with pain. This man who is always thoughtful and slow to anger in the face of horror with the wisdom of age and suffering to guide him has become too overwhelmed to show any kindness.
Player response
The player is given several different ways to respond, and Halsin's reaction varies a surprising amount depending on how understandable their reason is. In most cases, he states that he needs to be alone afterward.
Option 1: I'm sorry - I acted on instinct. Halsin: Words won't repair what's been done to this land. Nothing will... I need to be alone.
You can hear the ache in Halsin's voice, but he's somewhat understanding of this response. He projects more sadness than unchecked rage. The player has admitted to making a mistake, and Halsin isn't the type of person who hold onto vengeance when an apology has been made, but he's not naive or people-pleasing enough to say "it's okay" or offer comfort either. The safest thing for everyone is for him to step away to grieve when there is nothing more to be done.
Option 2: I did all the work here - I couldn't just let you take the glory. Halsin: Glory?! There's no glory here. Now there's nothing here - only shadows and the total absence of hope. Halsin: There is nothing more to be said... I need to be alone.
Pure fury radiates from Halsin's response if the player focuses on the idea of being some grand hero rather than actually caring for the outcome. What the player did was an unforgiveable act, dooming everything that Halsin holds dear, and you have the audacity to complain about not getting glory from it. Again, he steps away, but this feels more like he's doing it because he believes you're worthless to reason with rather than because he needs a moment.
Option 3: I saved your grove - I figured it'd be best if I handled this as well. Halsin: We were this close to healing these lands. Now your arrogance has torn open the wounds once more. Halsin: There is nothing more to be said... I need to be alone.
Halsin is still frustrated with this response and unmistakably angry, but it's significantly toned down from the idea of wanting to go through the portal for glory. More like he thinks you're a self-important idiot than a truly terrible person.
Specialized player responses
There are also three special responses you can give if you have a particular class or diety.
Druid: I thought my powers were equal to yours. Halsin: It wasn't just power this needed - it was wisdom, understanding. I suffered along with this place for years trying to understand the curse... and it seems I will continue to do so. Halsin: There is nothing more to be said... I need to be alone.
Interestingly, he responds much more intensely to a druid than some of the other player choices. It might be in part because he feels like a druid should know better. He lectures the player like an Archdruid would initiates in his Grove, alternating between angry and explanatory, trying to get the player to understand why they were wrong and the sheer magnitude of their error. He ultimately ends in a much more resigned place here rather than personally resentful. Like a father-figure being forced through further life trials because of a child's foolish indiscretion. Frustrating, but inevitable.
Selunite: I trusted in Selûne to guide me through the shadows. Halsin: My friend - I wish you had trusted in me.
This is probably Halsin's most simple response with the least vitriol. He fully understands this answer, even if he's disappointed by it. The fact he calls the player 'friend' suggests a certain tired acceptance of this being a natural behavior for a Selunite trying to do good. We don't see this calm in other responses where Halsin was surprised by the player's choice.
Sharran: The Shadowfell is no place for non-believers - I couldn't allow you to soil it. Halsin: I should never have trusted an ally of the Dark Lady.
If you've ever taken Halsin along with Shadowheart in Act 2, then you know he is absolutely scathing toward her and her faith. He likely isn't as angry if a Sharran breaks the portal because it is utterly predictable. It merely confirms a truth he already knew and talked himself out of. That Sharrans cannot be fully trusted in matters of their goddess, even if one was good enough to rescue his people from the goblins.

Hi, because I'm an insane person and a freak for looking at data files, I compiled a masterlist of every single BG3 dialogue file that has Dark Urge origin-specific dialogue in it. This was achieved by using the BG3 Dialog Reader, and honest-to-god manually combing every file for the Dark Urge origin tags (listed at the top of the document).
This document is a list of file names, as they appear in the Dialogs folder, listed by the subfolder they appear in. To read the actual dialogue, you will need to either download the BG3 Dialog Reader, or download the parsed data from roksik's BG3 datamined dialogue drive.
Alternatively, this project has also been part of a larger pet project of mine: to transcribe all of the Dark Urge dialogue in the game. At the bottom of the masterlist doc, you'll find links to all of my docs of transcribed dialogue (including a separate doc for Gortash dialogue). However, I've only gotten through most of Act 1 and a decent chunk of the Companions interactions. How much I continue to add to the transcriptions will be determined by how much free time I have and how autistic I'm feeling on a given day LOL

Speaking of nothing, we've recently got some anecdotal evidence that we might be getting third kits after all.
This is pretty speculative so take it with it a grain of salt, but the TL;DR is that Diamcreeper23, a Splatoon 3 dataminer and modder, had one of their mods DMCA'd by Nintendo and taken down from GameBanana. It's the only mod out of dozens to have been hit, and wouldn't you know it, it was a Sheldon's Picks mod that added new kits.
Now, this could very well just be a coincidence, or maybe they didn't want modders to be offering more content than they are, but it's actually extremely rare for Nintendo to go after Splatoon mods. The exceptions seem to be when they're adding things Nintendo are planning to do themselves, like how they took down fan-made Metroid 2 remakes before revealing Samus Returns, or for a Splatoon-specific example, how they DMCA'd Project Gamblitz, a big Splatoon 2 mod that added the ability to revisit Inkopolis Plaza, not long before revealing that to be a part of the Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass.
So there is precedent here, which by no means makes it a guarantee, just seem a whole lot more likely. Dataminers have already found dialogue that indicates that Big Run reruns are going to be a thing, and there are also currently unused Splatoween and FrostyFest versions of Inkopolis Square in the files too.
And with this in mind new weapons don't actually seem entirely improbable to me? They're probably some of the easiest "new content" they could add to the game, especially for how much it adds. The real question would be why they haven't confirmed it yet, but it could be that they want it to be a post-Grand Festival surprise. Maybe they'll be matched to the team that wins the Splatfest?
All that said, this is just speculation, and please treat it as such. Manage your expectations and all that. We'll know for sure when we know for sure.

IS there more evidence for the Susie theory I keep calling "Blood Theory"?
(My thoughts were all over the place for this so bear w/ me. I wanted it to be a thorough theory/essay post but it's more like a collection of thoughts sorry)
spoilers for the new chapters under the cut
So first things first, we need to establish where this comes from.
During chapter 2's release some dataminers found this unused animation where she BLEEDS.

this on its own wasn't enough for people to question it, as the two running theories for it being scrapped were that it was
1. the blood on her sprite was a continuity issue; as monsters dust, which is why it ended up unused
2. monsters actually bleed in deltarune since it's in a different universe from undertale.
Both of these are WRONG now that I've finished chapter 4.
The second floor in the library has a new interaction with a book on monster funerals, it is exactly the same as the book from undertale's library on the same subject; this one was not written for a school project though.
Throughout chapter 4 we interact with Gerson in the dark world, and Susie treats him like any other lightner, despite the fact that he's a shopkeeper and magically disappears and reappears around her several times in the chapter.
When Susie finds his hammer covered in his dust in the light world, she realizes he's dead and became a darkner. But take a look at her dialogue for just a second.
How come she refers to monsters in the 3rd person when she could have included herself, and she initially doesn't understand why somebody would keep the dust of a loved one. Why? Ralsei refers to her as "the monster" in the original prophecy, and obviously she isn't a human. She doesn't look like anything other than a monster, and she doesn't have a human soul - that's why she asks Kris at the end of chapter 4.
While she does seem confused about a lot of things surrounding monsters and their culture (commenting on gingerbread monsters after asking toriel what they were for example) but this is probably due to her homelife.

She's lived in multiple towns and if King is supposed to mirror her own father, than he certainly isn't going to care enough to spend time with her and show her gingerbread monster cutters or even get her cool monster costumes, etc. So of course she's going to have trouble relating to other monsters.
The first time Susie is ever shown proper love and care is in the dark world! (yes dw i did not forget about toriel and the bench, but it's not relevant for my next point) Chapter 3 focuses on the importance of Darkners as objects, contrasted with how they feel. This obviously impacts Susie since these worlds and these people are so near and dear to her, and it shouldn't matter whether or not they're "real" they're alive.
In chapter 4 once Gerson finds his study, there's a plaque above his fireplace that describes a mythical axe. On my first playthrough I went out of my way to find this axe for Susie, I had no clue it would unlock the secret boss. I do think that this is important information for Susie and her character arc (which I'll come back to this)
Gerson and Susie get so incredibly close this chapter. It is such an unlikely and yet incredibly sweet friendship.
After defeating Jackenstein in the dark zone, Ralsei tries to heal him multiple times, which doesn't work. Susie, having already been told that she doesn't need to heal from Ralsei, walks away. Gerson is the one who encourages her to heal him. Gerson encourages her to grow and improve her magic from Chapter 2!
Speaking of Susie's magic ability; in my old post I went over her odd magic abilities. In the alternate ending for chapter 1, Susie can learn pacify BY HERSELF to use on the king. In chapter 2 Ralsei teaches Susie to heal. And in chapter 4 Gerson's fight helps her healing incrase dramatically.
Susie's magic use has intrigued me for the longest time, especially since she has all these other oddities; her room in the dark world for one.
Unlike Kris' room, Susie's (I'm assuming that's her room) in the light world does not match the dark world other than her bed being mirrored (which is also true for Kris). She gets a brand new fridge, her window is shaped differently, and she gets a dresser and lamp. Meanwhile her room in the light world is completely empty.
Susie has this carpet with the ACT symbol on it, which relates to not only her magic use, but it almost foreshadows Susie learning how to ACT?????? from the MAGIC MENU????????? in chapter 2.
Susie's room is also littered with all these crowns. Despite Ralsei telling her that she's supposed to wear ribbons, Susie has never been feminine? The only reason I'd assume they'd be there is for that reason. Susie DOES refer to herself as a king on a few occasions in ch 2 though, such as during the trash scene and in tasque interactions.
Going back to the prophecy in ch 4. This looks nothing like Susie.
Especially compared to her drawing from the legend Ralsei tells; The statue based off this illustration is even compared to Susie directly. While the silhouette looks nothing like Susie (even wielding a sword???) the story beats match hers, like finding love and supposedly whatever happens at the end of the prophecy.
What this figure does kind of look like is a princess! And seeing as this whole chapter is focused on stories and prophecies, I think this kind of checks out.
Why and how would she be a princess though? - if this is even really her in those images. She's literally a regular monster not only in deltarune but in undertale too. The only mention of her and her family in UT is that they live in the same city as clam girl - who just so happens to be a goner. Hell she has a couple of other odd connections to Gaster and the overall idea of darkworlds.
In chapter 2 if you enter the diner to talk to Catti about Noelle she'll say "She is the light, but lately she strays too far into the darkness" and then she clarifies she's speaking about Susie. While we know she dislikes Susie and is jealous of Noelle's romantic interest in her, this still really intrigues me just based on wording alone.
There's only a few activities that are available after sealing the fountain in ch 4, and one of them is sitting by the lake with Susie. After a certain period of time passing she'll ask Kris if they can hear anything; which we can't. She says it sounds like somebody is playing music on the other side - something Onionsan mentions in the earlier chapters.
Water imagery is absolutely associated w/ gaster and the dark worlds. From the gonermaker background using an ocean image + the fountains using that same image texture, it's no wonder the lake has dark world associations too.
What was interesting was that another character seemed to have alluded to this song earlier in ch 4. Gerson. Before his battle with Susie begins he tells her "Can you hear it? Can you hear its song, singing from the deep...?" this immediately reminded me of the song of the sea.
Going back to my first point about their close relationship; Gerson tasks Susie with writing a letter to his son, because he knows he's deceased, even though he never says it outright. He's unique in the sense that the dust of a lightner can be mixed with an object for them to come back as darkners. Mind you, when Susie creates a dark world his suits of armor (objects → full darkners) are seperate entities from him.
I dissected how blood is supposed to work in deltarune so I'd assume instead of dusting (he's already made of dust) Gerson probably bleeds in the dark world, despite having the full appearance of a lightner.
Say that upon shattering glass, one of our hereos starts to bleed.

Even though it shouldn't be possible for them to bleed. Let's just say that they can and not elaborate any further.
Let's also say maybe somehow, someway, somebody found a way to have a child who was both a lightner and darkner.
Let's also look at how interesting it is, that they share the same attack. Those who are created from both the light, and the dark :)
#deltarune#deltarune spoilers#susie deltarune#deltarune theory#ouhhhhhh im SO back#im tired and i have a migraine so im sorry i wish i could add more#like more gerson dialogue...#something something ''there's a fire burning in you. burning black'' something something... about stories with twists#and also something about not following the legend so closely... maybe she wasn't even supposed to be the girl. maybe she was the prince#sorry anyways

Fellas, it's finally finished. I think it's my first "proper" video I've done, even if it's just voicelines. But this one took like 2-3 months in total. But dang, it's been a wild ride. I started out with ingame recordings and ended up datamining the game, to extract the soundfiles instead.
Huge thanks go out to @sgiansporran and @peace-comes-dropping-slow for helping me with identifying them/sorting them/exporting them etc. But very big thanks to Sporran for fixing my mistakes with figuring out what is being said in the unused soundfiles.
I hope you all enjoy! I have no clue if it's good enough, but best to sleep over it and start thhe next projects soon. I'll get a bit better with each video. Maybe in a year I'll have more knowledge.
Either way, I will work on other stuff for a while, before tackling the next video.

Again with the Raphael x Cazador agenda bc I'm still losing my mind over them‼️‼️‼️
Anyway, thought I'd share some headcanons bellow the cut as well:
- I just KNOW they both have hour long conversations about some play they've seen or book they've read. Their taste is similar in that aspect.
- Raphael knows about Lady Incognita's books (that's canon btw) and mentioned it to Cazador once, who instantly started ranting about how the girl didn't appreciate the "gift" (he doesn't appreciate it either if you think about all that datamined/beta stuff + how much he just wants to be "normal" BUT he is also a hypocrite sooo), also, he used to give advice to her whenever he found one of her drafts.
- In a modern setting Raphael would probably be like those annoying filmbros who doesn't stfu about some niche film they've seen and Cazador would be the same with some celtic metal group that has like 24 monthly listeners (kinda projecting in this one, I'm both).
- They would talk shit about anyone + if they go to some ball together after the first 40 minutes they'll probably end up talking only to each other.
- On the hc that both of them are trans, Cazador hasn't had any operations and isn't on t (although it's not bc he's comfortable in his own body but bc he doesn't want to have anything to do with it, he just prefers to live with an idealized version he made on his head after centuries of not seeing his reflection), Raphael is literally the opposite, he has had all the operations and has been on t since he ran away from Cania, hating the self he left behind.
- Now, some shoutouts to the fact that they're both SO AWFUL, I love them being so so toxic.
- Cazador usually doesn't like being touched and Raphael just thrives on being an asshole so he's always breaking the man's boundaries. PDA in the worst possible way.
- Cazador enjoys to compare Raphael to his father because he finds it extremely entertaining the fact that he takes it at heart and gets so offended by it (he knows how much the other has suffered because of his progenitor).
- Cazador having scars on his body from before being a vampire and Raphael biting them‼️‼️
-Raphael listening to Cazador talking shit about all of Raphael's features he despises just to make him even more insecure (let's be real, Raphael is SO fucking self-conscious, because there's no way all his paintings and Haarlep themself being so completely different to his real self is a normal trait).
- Both of them being prone to violence and fighting for every minor disagreement would make them the worst neighbors possible ngl.
- Raphael having the lower canines really really sharp while Cazador has the cuspid canines being almost razor-edged, iykyk.
Lastly, here are some songs I associate w/ them because I haven't seen any playlist include these:
Cazador:
Rule #34 - Fish in a Birdcage
Femtex - Therapy?
Never Wanted to Dance - MSI
Under the Spell - Me And That Man
Heel On The Shovel - 16 Horsepower
Raphael:
The Hell Of It - Paul Williams
Low Estate - 16 Horsepower
Nunemaker's Parable - Everybody's Worried About Owen
You're So Vain - Carly Simon
Bensonhurst Blues - Oscar Benton
An this one is just bc I find it quite funny but Mi Gran Noche from Raphael (the spanish singer) is quite iconic ngl.

The question of deleting fics is an interesting one. Ive definitely felt the impulse before, i have LOTS of ficlets and unfinished multi chapter fics that i absolutely despise bc they dont meet my current standards/employ tropes + characterizations that would now be pretty dated or even offensive -- but my parents were the type to tell me to save everything i made, because art was the only thing i was ever passionate about, so i could never muster the will power too.
Nowadays ive decided to lean into the fact that i have so many abandoned accounts -- even if a few have dissapeared for good by now (rip Quotev - that site was So formative in my writing life lmao), i like to imagine that there might be a handful of copies hanging out in a few scattered hard drives around the world, by anyone who did happen to enjoy them. Whether its materially true or not, the notion sits very well with me -- and serves as another reminder of how much of a wonderful thing internet anonymity can be. The chance that my stories, however silly, could be datamined off what will be considered old devices in the future, and will only be connected to some silly username like 'nyanslenderman' or 'tordkin'-- i think its almost heartwarming. Makes those stories stop feeling so cringey in hindsight, just as like.. another teeny tiny part of human history, which ill be a part of whether i want to be or not.
While i try not to /demand/ that people never delete fics or art, i wish people would consider that angle a little more... there's nothing wrong with something you wrote while inexperienced, or in a bad time of your life, being a part of your mark on the world -- especially if its hidden by a username instead of your real name. Its always a treat to see preserved children's schoolwork or passion projects, or an artist's earliest works + practice pieces, from decades to centuries ago -- so why would stuff from our generations be recieved any differently by our own descendants? Why not let it stay, for the chance of being remembered that way?

Playing a bit with the Nopes datamine, I'm more and more convinced Shamir and Felix would compete to gain the "tsun" medal out there
I know some fanon projects hard on Shamir being a #detached and #badass and #nostringsattached kind of person when CF and especially SB reveals she's anything but -
Bar her partnership with Catherine, Shamir is the person who says this :
A lot of people are getting fired up now that we've pushed the Empire back this far. They're saying Garreg Mach's as good as ours, but I'm not so sure. Yeah, but if that's what the higher-ups in the church are aiming for... Then Rhea will have no choice but to move. The cardinals and the others are still alive, after all.
This last line? She has the sad portrait.
Is she worried about Rhea being pressured to retake Garreg Mach when the route isn't secured yet/the Monastery is stil guarded? (iirc it's in Nopes' chapter 11).
Then, in the Ailell chapter :
Honestly, I would've rather been with Rhea than stuck here.
Barney wonders why she's complaining, apparently it's not because of the heat because southern Dagda is hotter than a volcano (???), not because she has a debt to Rhea, but because she prefers to lead ambushes and all.
But note how Barney says :
Is it 'cause you want to protect the archbishop? You owe her some kind of debt, don't you?
And Shamir only replies :
I've long repaid my debt. I'm not like Catherine.
Sure we can infer the "I'm not like Catherine" means she doesn't want to protect Rhea like Cat does, but she explicitely mentions having repaid her debt - something she always pulls out insistently when the topic of Rhea comes out in GW :
Why the sad portrait Shamir?
Are you saddened that you have to face Rhea, or that you believe you're betraying her expectations ?
In JP it's : あなたには恩があった……。返し終わったつもりだが、足りなければ許してくれ, Googl'd it gives "I owe you a debt of gratitude... I think I've paid it all back, but please forgive me if it's not enough."
It's more explicit : she apologises for not repaying her debt, or by repaying it with, y'know, Golden Shower (or Supreme Bullshit) shenanigans!
And in the final fight :
Why the angry portrait Shamir?
何度もすまないな、レアさん。 だが、これが私の選んだ道なんだ -> ""I'm sorry again, Lea, but this is the path I've chosen.""
Shamir emphasises how sorry she still is at having to fight because of the plot, but, well, given how she opens their battle lines with this, why Shamir felt the need to say that, uh, she is really and still sorry to have to fight against her, but that's her path etc etc?
Adding to this how Shamir, in SS, is the only non nabatean character on Rhea's floor when she has to recover from having eaten missiles and she worries, in her own way, about her condition.
Like, Seteth is already on that floor, so she's obviously not there for security purposes so...?
tl;Dr : it reads as if Shamir really dgaf about her former affiliation, the KoS, Catherine and Rhea herself.
She just, happens to be there when Rhea's in her direst state, she worries - but only for strategic purposes, don't be mistaken! - about her being pressured to lead a charge against a still well defended monastery - and anyways, she's not angsting at pointing her bow at her, because she already repaid her debt! So stop bringing this up okay, she repaid that debt! If she feels like trash, it's totally unrelated, besides, do you know she really really really repaid her debt, so no old grudges, okay??
Obviously.
Tru Tl;Dr : Shamir tries to get close to Caellach's magnificence, but fails.
#Shamir stuff#3 Nopes#tfw she can't pull the same trick Fraud pulled from Caellach's saga#no 'sorry about that grudges get in the way of the work so no biggie right?' for Shamir#FE16#in games as uh selective about their writing as the Fodlan games are#this is the closest thing we'll get about what Shamir thinks of Rhea and their relationship at least from her side#Modern AU Rhea takes a bullet for Billy#Shamir is the only one who tells her she's a fucking moron#not because she cares of course not#but uh bcs Cyril and Cat would be pissed if she were to die! Nothing else!

In January of 2024 the Zhentil Keep discord server was founded with the intention of connecting Rugan fans from across Tumblr and Ao3.
The server grew into a lovely community replete with resources for lore, art, customization, game settings and writing. As well as a place to workshop our various creative projects.
As the time has come to close the server, the moderation team wanted to create an archive to preserve those resources for the community and this Tumblr blog is the result.
Please note, while head canons are in part based upon existing text and voice lines within the game, many are simply our conjecture/in-jokes. We do not consider these head canons binding in any way as all characters are open to interpretation.
