I’m now 23 books in and it’s a challenge deciding which characters are necessary and which aren’t. When in doubt I ask if the story would be able to go forward the same without a character. If the answer is yes, they are dropped out of the chart. 18 more books to go. . . On this chart I ran a Newman grouping which creates groups within a network. The red group is Lancre, the yellow group is the Watch, and the left green group is mostly Unseen University. Small Gods peeled off as the blue group in the bottom right and Pyramids is the blue star shape. It’s shaping up nicely. . . When I’m done in the graphing program I’ll bring it into Illustrator and then Photoshop to put the spit and polish on it. . . I delayed this project too long. I’m really glad it’s coming along.
