I made a David Bowie themed slideshow for my assignment and my teacher told me "It's like a shrine, I love it." It only looks like a shrine because it kinda is one. And yes, I did put a picture of an outfit I made because I felt like it. I GOT ALL THE PICTURES FROM MY AMAZING FRIEND @oh-look-a-homosexual-punk-bitch

Dead Boy Detectives full soundtrack!
(Or at least all the ones I could find)
I’ve seen several soundtrack playlists floating around, but unfortunately a lot have other songs added or are missing some that were used in the show, so I went ahead and made my own!
Below the cut is a full listing of when each song was used during the show, timestamped as accurately as I could manage.
Please let me know if there are any songs I missed, and I’ll add them ASAP! Score will be added if/when it’s released. If anyone would be interested in separate posts for each episode, let me know and I’ll get right on it!
Enjoy!

David Bowie helped a middle school student with his homework; Kyoto residents remember him as a "nice young man"
Later, Bowie said, "Westerners expect a dream world from the East. But it's much more interesting to see it as a human being with flesh and blood. That's why I come to Japan to see people. I don't see shrines or anything like that." The voices of the people of Kyoto suggest that he was putting this into practice.
British rock star David Bowie (1947-2016) stands with a townhouse in the background. When I saw him blending into the everyday life of the ancient capital of Kyoto at a photo exhibition held this spring, I was thrilled, just like when I first met him as a teenager. Wanting to immerse myself in the lingering impression of his presence that transcends time, I followed his footsteps in Kyoto using the work of photographer Masayoshi Sukita (83) as a clue.

I really love how like all of bad love, gaosline and now killer have essentially been key's nostalgia for the things he grew up with? Like im a sucker for retro concepts but his stuff hits different since its directly from his younger days
its his hand picked, delicately arranged shrine to being a nerd
ah yes, that's such a good point!
key hasn't just followed an aesthetic because it's on trend, (although, he's always on point when it comes to trends) these are notes of nostalgia from his childhood and adult life.
all these concepts are from the movies, games and toys ect. he loves.
it's his homage to all his nerdy faves lol, because as cool as we know kibum is, he is also a giant nerd.......he's, he's a disney adult for gods sake. the man collects toy story figurines.
i wouldn't be at all surprised if he had a large collection of funko pop figures.
he's also a gamer, loves retro sci-fi movies and david bowie, 80's movies and 90's cartoons - all of these album concepts are soooo kibum, because they combine all of these aspects of his personality, but in a really artistic way.
basically, nerd but make it fashion.

@teenakp asked: I am enjoying Cloud Cult quite a bit, all thanks to your posts about them! I have a few musical asks for you:
What was the first concert you ever attended?
My first concert was a benefit concert in the early 1980s with my parents at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles (where the Oscars used to be, and Michael Jackson's hair caught on fire, etc.) and it had a bunch of celebrities (got my picture taken with David Hasselhoff back when Knight Rider was big) and musical acts from the 1960s like Little Anthony and Tiny Tim. I forget them all. Maybe The Coasters and The Turtles? There was a bunch. I should ask my parents, they might remember. I didn't know any of them at the time. Now I wish I had paid more attention.
What is your go-to song or band when you need cheering up?
I've tried that, and it doesn't work for me. Specifically I'd use The Polyphonic Spree, "Light And Day / Reach For The Sun". But no, when I'm feeling blue I tend to listen to blue music. And when I'm feeling high energy, I listen to high energy music. My music reflects my mood. It can't be used to change my mood.
Who have you never seen live but would love to, if possible?
Michael Jackson? Queen? George Michael? David Bowie? True story: I saw David Bowie in the crowd (it was a small venue) at a Moby concert. He appeared right behind me, on my right. I was watching him from the corner of my eye, enjoying the show. And then after a few songs, he disappeared. I kept expecting him to appear on stage with Moby. But nope. He was just there as a friend/fan. People who are still alive that I'd like to see: Paul McCartney, Elton John, New Order.
What song best represents how you feel today?
Well, right now my body is sore from all of the yard work and cleaning the swimming pool today (so many pine needles and leaves from the bad winds we had earlier this week). But the whole time I was out there working, one song was playing on loop in my head: Weezer, "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To"
I usually have a song playing on loop in my head constantly. I started a playlist on Spotify for every time I wake up in the morning with a song in my head. It currently has 173 songs.
