Random characters I'd cast in the Interview with the Vampire TV show 😂

Just to explain this post a bit better...Last year, the IWTV fans asked Jacob and Sam who they think should play Gabrielle and both said Monica Bellucci, a legendary Italian actress. I agree with them that Monica has the beauty and talent to play Gabrielle. I would have cast her if a beautiful European guy was playing Lestat because in the books, Lestat is supposed to look EXACTLY like his mother - and Lestat is currently being played by a handsome, talented Australian actor. But Sam still has to know himself that he literally looks NOTHING like Monica Bellucci so if she plays Lestat's mother, then Monica and Sam will not even look related. 😂

𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗻 actually looks like she could be related to Sam - she's tall, has blue eyes, a jaw line, Australian, also naturally a ginger, she dyes her hair blond too. She said during Covid she's learning Italian which means she can learn her lines in Italian also, Sam has worked with her before in 2012 for a movie called The Railway Man and Sam admires her as a legendary Australian actress so I'm sure Sam would love for Nicole Kidman to play his vampire mother. 🤭❤️

𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗮𝗰𝘀 played Lucius Malfoy so I know he can play the aristocrat abusive father of Lestat just imagine him in a long blond wig, a French accent, and he's perfect. 😖

𝗥𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮 could play Akasha in honor of Aaliyah. 💕

𝗗𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻 as Enkil because look at him! 😍

𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗜𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘀 is who Anne Rice wanted as Lestat so it would be a lovely tribute to her if he was cast to play Magnus - who made Lestat a vampire.

𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 would be a great Pandora.

𝗟𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 I saw her play Cinderella she has a fairy tale beauty perfect for Bianca.

𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝘀𝗰𝗵 would fit as a female in a vampire show.

𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘀 because I imagine Lestat wanting to be vampire buddies with Hannibal Lecter. 😂

𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗮 is a handsome Indian actor, he can play David.

𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗮 fits the intimidating vibe.

𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗺𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 - IWTV fans wanted him as Lestat but I cast him as Mael. 😝

𝗗𝗮𝗸𝗼𝘁𝗮 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 ain't twins but are sisters and great actresses so they can play witches.

I know AMC can not afford even half of this cast but LET ME DREAM! 😆

Queen of the Laura's

The pair of adults sat opposite each other in a booth in the non smoking section of Laura's Roadside diner. The diner has stood beside the stretch of road leading up to the large forests and mountains where the coal mines and lumber mills live. Providing numerous jobs to the town below. Pastel yellow and while colored walls, decorated with photos of Laura's favorite customers smile out from there simple wood frames. It had been a long time since Laura Mactavish stepped foot into the diner. There was only Crazy Larry taking up two booths for his lecture on Cats as Aliens to the empty seats.

Laura Mactavish had loved Crazy Larry before he had "Seen the Light". Back then his name had been Larry Right, the owner of the thrift store and pawn shop. The "Light" Larry had seen was that of the moonlight glistening off the translucent, nubile bodies of Siren's. They lay across the creek bed under full moons. It wasn't the light that had driven Larry out of his mind, but the fury of an angry Laura. To every manager or owner of Laura's Diner there was a promise that Crazy Larry could eat for free. And he did, not often but he did appear for a stack of pancakes and two boiled eggs.

The current owner of the restaurant, a vivacious thirty two year old strawberry blond woman with jade green eyes and a smart mouth named Vi sat across from David. Her face a mixture of good humor and utter embarrassment. Only a year separated the two in age, but Vi acted as if she were David's adopted big sister.  She sipped her coffee. Black like her heart and spoke after being silent for a good five minutes after hearing David's latest story about Hailey. 

"You're the worst dad ever…" She said as she tipped a cigarette out of her pack of them and lit it. 

"I knowwwwww," David said as he brought his head down hard on the cheap wooden table of the booth, hard enough to make Vi wince.  She blew smoke at him and his olive toned face came up scrunched like a cute Gargoyle and she reached over and squeezed his baby cheeks which made him glare at her. 

"You Can't Smoke here," David grumped as he rubbed his forehead. 

"News Flash Babycakes. I OWN THE PLACE," Vi said and smiled when Crazy Larry applauded her loud voice. He grinned at her and bowed as if she were a queen.

And while I’m at it regarding David

It’s weird though, because the person that wrote David with us before ... I don’t know. I look at it now and wonder how and why I didn’t break the tie much sooner than I did. Maybe it was destined to get to the real life ridiculous point that it did in order for me to grow as a person and appreciate certain things more. That aside, our writing should have been either severed or severely altered long ago. Our David was well versed in canon, but contradictory to a fault. The writer had her own headcanon going on that was forced on the entire AU, and while we were often told “You must remember that ...” in regard to one element of canon or another, the writer made grand exceptions for headcanon characters. I came to know this writer through another person that had written David Talbot - that David had “made” this person, as DT’s fledgling, which for me is a stretch anyhow. David seems stoic enough to never have a fledgling or at least hold off on that for a very, very long time. Regardless, there it was, and so, when I stopped writing with my Original David, the “fledgling” took over the role of David. Probably that was the first mistake. I mean then it was that person writing David, and maintaining that David had made a fledgling, which was also in that writer’s hands. Okay, so that’s not necessarily a problem. Multiple, inter-related characters can be done, I know. But later on, I came to see that there were a lot of shall we say, “family issues” involved and if I wasn’t already irritated and disgusted with this writer in real life, I damn sure was as a writer. You don’t decide to run with a new storyline for the fledgling in which he (a grown man) has a son with the same name as your son, and drag in many of your other family members names as his extended family. If you’re going to do that, I say leave Ricean Canon or even Ricean Headcanon out of it. Write your own thing and who knows, sell it, make money on it and leave me with egg on my face, but don’t expect me to participate as the lead Ricean character. No, I really don’t think Lestat would stand by and tolerate that kind of crap, especially when he had expressed disdain for the fledgling character from the get-go. 

So yeah, I left the writer in real life - consider it a learning experience. I came away with a new appreciation for many things so it isn’t all bad. My long time collaborative writer and I are still going strong writing epic Louis and Lestat goodness. I haven’t spoken to the old David writer since I left the state I was living in then, but that’s okay. I will say however, that Lestat misses him. For Lestat, David has always been a sounding board, and the voice of reason. David tells him the way it is, whether he wants to hear it or not. 

So in the meantime per our AU, Lestat marched into David’s home and vehemently announced that due to David’s actions (in the story) they were taking “an indefinite break” from one another. As such, we’ve presumed David collected his manservant (oh this was another bug in my ass the writer did) and headed off to parts unknown. 

I’m hoping that as my collaborative partner and I think ahead to what L&L might be doing after we wrap up our current 20ish chapter story, we can look to finding an active, participatory David Talbot writer who can mesh with our style. It’s a long shot but it will happen if it’s meant to be. I think we’re planning something of a Moroccan vacation for L&L, and we’d like to take them into something where they’re united toward some problem or scenario rather than the whole Love/Angst/Separation/Reunion format. I have to say that in these last two e-books, we’ve done that formula better than 99.7% of the stuff you’ll read out there, we don’t want it to become trite and worn. 

Okay, rant over. Off to bed.
