Talon Ranger Bonnie

Remember the Talon Ranger in the Cosmic Fury trailer? That was me. In all seriousness, here’s Bonnie as Deathryuger/Dark Ranger/Talon Ranger from Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Gaburincho Of Music. I made this after his appearance in the Cosmic Fury trailer. By the way, I’m hyped as hell for Cosmic Fury. As well as the Talon Ranger’s appearance. For this picture, I even gave Bonnie bands on his dreads like how Deathryuger has when unmorphed or when he takes his helmet off. I also kept Bonnie’s bow. Cause why not?

Alright so I’m in the middle of watching Power Rangers Cosmic Fury and can we just take a moment to appreciate after so many years that we FINALLY got the Dark Ranger in the show! And as someone who was always a fan of the Deathryuger in the Sentai I’m so Happy!

The SHODO Super Kyoryuger figures look great and I'm excited for them, but seeing that wave two will most likely use the spirit forms of Cyan and Grey makes me sad and also worry that they'll do a wave three that includes Kyoryu Red Carnival, female Cyan and modern Grey, Old Man Violet, and Deathryuger like guys. I dont think yall thought this shit through Kyoryuger has so many guys what will you do

talking of Hasbro Repaints, they WEREN'T aloud to repaint Kyoryu Navy back into Deathryuger for Cosmic Fury, which makes me wonder if something is gonna happen for Kingohger or a future special

I don't keep up with the comics, so when I first read about the Death Ranger drama, I thought it was about Deathryuger, the Dark Ranger's Sentai counterpart.

Yeah, I'm pretty stupid, because I thought Heckyl just came out as non-binary.

Nah, you ain't stupid cause honestly, anything I know about the comics comes from other blogs and twitter accounts. So like, all I know about Death Ranger is that they come from the Omega Rangers comics and that they are among the comics attempts at non-binary rep that the comics uh, don't seem great at handling (or twitter accounts in this drama's case). But also hey, you never know with Heckyl, the comics do like to do their own things with the characters so like, nothing is impossible.

I was just thinking about it today, the last time we had an "evil recolor" ranger was Zyuoh The World, six years ago. Even that's a bit of a stretch, but I dunno how far you'd have to go beyond that to hit someone. AbareKiller?

that's an interesting interpretation of it... i can't think of zyuoh the world that way since he's just. the sixth. even though he had a short antagonist phase he was never a villain to me. and he has his own unique suit and helmets so not a recolor in my mind either. abarekiller also has his own unique suit.

here's the 2 i mentioned when replying to the other ask

deathryuger does have those extra arm things but otherwise the base suit is indistinguishable from the regular kyoryus. and while the helmet was very slightly unique at the time of introduction the whole suit was later reused to make kyoryu navy.

the dark buster/red buster situation is more complicated since obviously the suits are. different. but rather Narratively dark buster is intended to be the evil clone version so he registers as a recolor in my mind since that was ms kobayashi's blessed authorial intent.

but regardless.

if the question you're posing is rather "when was the last time there was a core guy who was villainous" then god yeah it's been some 20 years. sixths aren't usually Like That anymore. sad for all of us fans of horrible bastard men.
