Okay okay, SO let’s talk about the latest chapter of Iruma kun because the lore is JUICY. Spoilers for chapter 358. This also leaves me with even more questions while answering some I had before. So I actually had a post planned where I was going to ask why Delkira received a special and sublime classroom to begin with. I wondered if maybe he was a previous demon king’s son and maybe that was why he was already revered. But NOPE it seems not likely. It’s still possible, I just got the vibe was that he was miraculous in his achievements and power. So it kind of answers that question but we still have no info on his family, the king’s classroom, or how he was able to achieve so much. On the other hand we got some VERY VERY interesting lore on Mephisto-pheles. It also explains why he gave this task to Iruma since he obviously sees the potential for him to surpass Delkira in the future. He wants Iruma to know what it takes to be in power, somewhat as an advisor role like he has been for previous kings. By assisting a king you can understand how to rule. And by building up a country, you can know what it takes to lead a country. I already guessed that since he was already interested in Iruma. But this just adds an extra layer to why he is as fascinated by him as he is. GOD NISHI IS SO GOOD AT WRITING LORE. I ASPIRE to write something with as much depth and intricacies as this manga. She is my inspiration truly 🙏🏽

Like, look at Mephisto’s face here compared to after he met Iruma. Different face but same vibe.

Now, going back to Delkira one, we get to see more of his personality and he’s so much like Iruma!!!!! No wonder everyone and their fucking mom keeps being like, “damn why tf do I see Delkira in him.” Neither strive for power for power’s sake, instead they strive for power because they see it as a step forward in their goal and desires. They both want to find their own path rather than it just being given to them. It really shocked me at first that Delkira turned Mephisto down but it actually makes so much sense why everyone is enamored by him. That is the most undemon like thing he could have done, he had the perfect opportunity to gain all the power in the world in a quick and easy way. Any other demon would have killed for that chance. They are so fucking alike and it makes me want to rage. I love it so much, I love that we are getting to see more of him as time goes on. Him and Iruma even have the same smile! Like come on.

He even has similar jesters to Iruma!!!! This flashback is making me rethink my theories about him and his connection to Iruma. Ughhhh, I’m so fucking happy about this. Also, this nothing to do with anything but look at Delkira’s cunty lil outfit. This sheer shirt? Rolled up uniform jacket he has popped open. These tight pants with a weird belt design? I would be Delkira’s number one supporter is all I’m saying. He’s babygirl just like Iruma. Maybe that’s the requirement to be the next powerful demon king, you have to serve mother fucking CUNT if you want to rule. Anyway, I think there was more I wanted to say but I got distracted with my rant lol. I just love this lore so much, I love how Nishi handles lore drops (especially with characters) and seeing more of Delkira because I am so fascinated with him and must know more.

I know the joke/implication here is that Iruma is Sullivan and Delkira's child (LMAO) but I really do wonder how Poro would really react if she did find out that Iruma is, indeed, Delkira's son.

My theory of "Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-Kun" is that they're gonna pull a "Fire Emblem Fates" on us.

I've read that Iruma is a reincarnation of Derkila in some way. That I can see.

But you may ask - what about Ali in the ring?

Well - In "Fire Emblem Fates: Revelations" it was revealed that the main character, Corrin, was the child of the main villain but with a twist. The twist was that half of the villain's soul was "Reborn" into Corrin, who was the "good" half, while the evil half of the soul stayed as the dragon and final boss in the game.

This could be a similar situation for Iruma.

Half of Derkila's soul was in the ring, and the other half was reborn as Iruma. Iruma, who is extremely gentle and a pushover in high levels, is the good half of the soul and since he was raised with humans he shows more empathy and compassion versus a demon in the Netherworld, who's own desires trumps everthing else. Alikred would be the "demonic" half of Derkila, who as a demon shows more greed and desire than a human.

The prophecy of the next Demon King stated that "He shall make one and all of his servants". Iruma has shown compassion and friendship to Azz and Clara, making them his first "servants", but he doesn't see it that way. His kindness also spreads where he befriends the Misfits Class and sees them as family, it got to the point where Lied considers him a brother and Jazz and Allocer got revenge during the Harvest Festival to make sure Iruma and Lied got the base back. He also befriended Ameri and tried to still show compassion to Kirio (despite him being CRAZY AF). Iruma has also showed empathy and helped the Guardian of Cutthroat Valley's chick, which gained the respect of the Guardian, causing both beasts to bow to him.

"He shall form blood pacts." It's argued that blood is used to gain his familiar, who is Professor Kalego, but if you think about it ALL the students use their blood to get their familiar. The better example is that Iruma's drop of blood healed the chick from the Flying Race, which resulted the beast to trust and respect Iruma. This in turn has the Guardian of Cutthroat Valley respect Iruma as well.

This argument is also valid for "And heal all of demonkind".

"He shall descend from a foreign realm". Iruma is from the human world - enough said.

"And wear the golden ring of Solomon on his right hand". Iruma gets the ring from the Ranking Owl after the Flying Race, however it's called the "Ring of Gluttony". Since Sullivan knew about the ring and how it worked, he may have been the one who helped with the idea of the ring to begin with and gave it a different name so that other demons wouldn't travel about trying to search for it and take the throne.

Finally what seals my theory, and many other theories I've seen people made: Sullivan.

Sullivan was Derkila's right hand demon for thr most part. There was a reason Sullivan "picked" Iruma to be his grandson. He was probably watching over the human realm for centuries, watching every person being born until he finally found Iruma who had the same qualities he recognized from Derkila. Sullivan probably did a little demon manipulation on Iruma's parents, which probably turned out didn't really need much prodding since the parents are complete ASSES, for them to sell him Iruma. Sullivan even before the new term/Harvest Festival saw Derkila in Iruma when he was having that flashback.

As Iruma continued to live in the Netherworld, he learned of his own "demonic" desires - his selfish wants. Iruma WANTS to have his friends and family he had made. He WANTS a better world where they can all be toelgether and happy.

THAT is where his humanity combined with Ali's demonics is what is going to show how he would be the Demon King as he would look out for everyone and won't let ANYTHING stand in his way of that goal/dream.

Also... first episode... if Iruma couldn't do magic without the ring supposedly... how did he cast that spell during the Opening Ceremony...? Sullivan's spell of helping Iruma read/write/speak/hear demon language wouldn't help him in that aspect of casting a spell... This would show that somewhere deep in his soul he has mana as what the main villains have said that Iruma "posses the same mana as Derkila"

I just feel it's gonna be a "Fire Emblem: Fates" twist, which I am NOT against.

How had he not known before? It seemed rather foolish. After all, he had known you for an eternity... so... why now?

Why now did he feel this way? He stares at you as you stare up at the sky. The wind blew your hair in all directions.

The summer rain soaking your clothes as you laugh. Wildly spinning and dancing around in the puddles, kicking up puddles. A chaotic creature howling with the sound of thunder.

The lightning being the only way to see your large leaps and flashing eyes. You looked so free. Such a wonderful sight.

Your bare feet are covered in mud. His tail sways. How cute. Really, he should have seen your adorable side much sooner.

He joins you in your improved dance. Swinging you around, letting the rain pour over his huge frame. Little demon, wild imp, how delightful you are.

Unpredictable, devilish, yes... how perfectly imperfect you are. Both of you scream at the top of your lungs. Arms waving about in the wind.

His tail wraps around your waste. His bright grin as another bolt of lightning flashes illuminating your face. You both unfurl your wings and take to the sky.

The wild twists and spins, the water falling everywhere. It's enchanting. Your memorizing. And it's here and now that he realizes it.

He loves you. He can't help the large grin on his face as he swings you up higher. You laugh and close your wings, allowing yourself to plummet. Such a dare devil.

He watched as you fell closer and closer to the ground. Only to snap open your wings at the last moment. Yes... just like that.

In an instant, he knew. He knew he adored you like no one else. None could ever compare in his eyes. He bounded across the sky as you now fluttered from tree to tree lazily. Both of you are unaffected by the harsh weather.

If anything, it makes it more fun! How thrilling it is to fly with you. He savers this moment. Another bolt flashes across the sky. You turn and grin at him.

And just like that, you vanish from his sight. He turns, looking from side to side. His curious eyes searching for you in the darkness. Tricky little demon.

The thunder rolls across the sky. You crash into him, sending you both tumbling through the air. Crashing into the muddy earth, the wind knocked out of him. He roars with laughter.

And just as suddenly as the storm arrived, it came to a halt. The rain slowed the clouds parted. The pair of you drenched in muck. Yet, he couldn't be more pleased.

He pulls you into a tight embrace and kisses you. The sight of your flushed face sparks amusement and joy in him. What a wonderful day to be alive.

Something thats been bugging me about this whole series is the fact that Sullivan desperately wanted a grandson,

But instead of choosing a demon he chose Iruma, a human.

There must be plenty of orphans in the demon world right? Especially given just how dangerous the netherworld is, So Sullivan didn’t exactly have limited options, he had plenty of choices yet he decided to take in a human boy instead, why is that?

Something isn’t adding up, Sullivan clearly knows and is hiding something, as evidenced by chapter 262.

And it’s clearly something that troubles him deeply. But he must of chose Iruma for a reason, and gave him the ring of gluttony, a ring that houses Alikred, the avatar of the spirit inside the ring.

An Avatar who’s name is literally Derkila spelled backwards. (They also have the same Japanese and English Voice Actors)

And he has something to do with the former demon king as Alikred is the only way for Iruma to use magic, and as chapter 267 shows, it’s Derkila’s mana.

this took me literally way too much effort to do, idk why i decided to do this to myself. i had the thought and was like, oh that wouldnt be too hard, he doesnt have THAT many appearances in the manga. haha, JOKES ON ME. i had to go through almost all the manga to check for him and it put this all together. overall i think I spent over an hour on this collage. SO here's another Delkira post 🫶🏽

Anyway, the total count is 70 Delkira sightings. A lot of pages has more than one Delkira with the max total being 4. Most of these images are back shots of him (go figure) but I don't have an exact count of this. I also didn't add two Delkira's because one was literally just hair and the other was like, a sliver of his body but you couldn't even tell it was him because Poro was leaning on him.

Ok I'm in love with Baal's speech. I'm happily fed by his intervention. These panels are superb. He built his castle on Derkila's rainbow river. ("Sun..in every colour") that's amazing. Who's side am I on!? He's the villain but he's so cool. I was like Bachiko sensei who felt the need for something like this to happen and yes! Look how the atmosphere changed! Go Go Bachiko sensei 🩷 Baal is my Jareth the goblin king who's in charge of his masquerade.

I want Baal or someone to create ripples like this in the coming chapters too. Even though he's a villain that I did not like at all at first because of what he's done, now my impression changed. He pointed the three of them towards a goal, motivated them with his story and what power he possesses. Such a person should be in charge of these events. And him being sabro's uncle, reminds me of the latter and I do hope I'll see him and all the misfits together pretty soon.

Hi! I've seen some of your posts about mairuma and from other fandoms. I got curious to know what your opinion is on Mairuma in general. you write a lot! That's amazing. I'm not asking for long answer that can consume a lot of your precious time but I'd love to know who your favourite character (s) is, favourite ships, theories, arcs, expectations and any such things in regarding mairuma. Okay let's do this.

So my opinion/s on Mairuma, let's start with the main boy himself.

Like most anime protags, he is selfless and kind, which is nice. But unlike most anime protags, he is like that for a very unique reason.

Iruma in and of himself is kind, that's just who he is, an inherent part of him. But selflessness isn't. Selflessness isn't a choice for Iruma, it's something that he believes is expected of him at all times. He doesn't know any better, he truly believes that if it comes down to him or anyone else, Literally anyone else takes priority. No matter WHO that anyone else might be.

And I love the show because while it's nice that Iruma is kind and selfless sometimes, almost everyone in the show tells him in one way or another, that it's okay, and needed, for him to be selfish sometimes.

His teachers scold him for not calling them when he's in trouble, Azz-Azz tells him how important he is all the time, and I don't really have to tell you how down his Grandpa is for selfishness sometimes.

Now that I think of it, it's not even really selfishness, it's simply knowing his own worth.

Funnily enough, Iruma himself believes that people need to learn to say no, he meets Clara and tells her he doesn't need her to give him things for him to be her friend, and a true friend wouldn't need that.

The very first time Iruma asked Azz-Azz for something, he asked him to help Clara, to talk to the demons that were bothering her, so he knows it's okay to need to put yourself first, he just can't apply that to himself because of past trauma, and that's just such a new and fresh take, I couldn't help but love this series.

And initially, I started watching the series because I saw a clip of when Iruma first met Sullivan.

And I'm a sucker for found family troupes, and Slightly-Kidnapped family sounded pretty funny so I decided to watch an episode.

And the more I watched, the more I loved. I was hooked!

The suspense of having to keep his human origins secret?

The "I beat you up so now we're friends" happening accidentally and being taken in a hilariously literal way??

The encouragement to strive towards a Goal???

More and More of the Misfit Class getting introduced until we could instantly recognize them and their individual personalities and seeing them each as having a place in the show????

The best Girl Clara Valac?????

It's absolute perfection!!!!

I'm so excited for more! And it has a way of me both wanting more and being content with what I've got.

I want to know the backstory and I'm okay if this just continues to be Iruma's story without delving to deep into what happened with the previous demon king.

I want to see the prophecy completed and I'm okay if that happens to not be Iruma.

I want to see Iruma's scumbag parents get their comeuppance and I'm okay if we never see them again because they're not important to Iruma anymore, he's left them in the past where they belong.

You could ask me about almost any character and I could give ample reason as to why I LOVE them so much!

In fact, do! Tell people to send their fav in and I'll ramble for as long as I can! There is 1 exception to this rule but what are the chances they get sent in? lmao

My favorite Ship? To be perfectly honest? I don't really ship anyone, I think it's because they're all kids rn and I'm more into platonic relationships, but I don't dislike most of the ships I've seen.

The only one I see as a ship would probably be Balam-Sensei and Eggy-Teach.

They're just the IT couple of Bablys.

My favorite character is Andro M. Jazz.

Big brother types hit me where I live, I always wanted a big brother like that, instead I got five different flavors of Andro M. Rock. -_-

Jazz's Big Brother complex is one of the cutest fucking things I've ever seen my GOSH! I love that out of all the demons in the Misfit class, he's the big brother of the group, followed by Gaap and then Iruma as decided during the after party scene.

I love all the Misfit Class though, send me Your fav and I can expand upon thusly.

Theories? Only one, Alikred is the Previous demon king Derkila, either his soul, his magic, or actually all of him that's been sealed away in the Ring of Gluttony.

I mean come on, his name is literally Derkila spelled backwards. In the anime, he and the demon king have the Same FREAKING VOICE ACTOR! So either it's him or he's one hell of a fanboy. Which I can respect.

Also I love that we as the fandom have Eiko Oni as the Stand-In for what would happen if any of us ever met anyone in the show, God bless her Bi Soul, we're proud to have her in our ranks.

I feel like that's too much rambling and don't wanna make you wait any longer, so I'ma cut it off here, but know this.
