Hi so I have so many lore ideas that I just came up weith in this second but listen. Asa Ansi Hobie and Diane being the blue laces club, like they are not allowed anywhere near. miles’s house because Asa will show up in their blue laces and red lipstick, fangs exposed with no hesitation

Also also s when Asa finds out that Diane killed a cop for whatever reason she did, it’s the reason that he decidesto have her over, that’s when she’s officially marked as safe for Asa’s kids to be around

Ansi’s universe is set modern day so he has access to so much music and they all love hanging out at his place to listen to it

Angel headcanons mainly

So when she first gets to HQ she’s like super psyched. For one she can see in color (or at least bright color) now so that’s so cool. She’s seeing her outfit and other people and her own freaking skin tone for the first time. And with this comes a lot of excitement and a lot of realizations

For starters she’d never experienced racism before, because her world is designed precisely to avoid those kinds of problems, so when she hears Hobie and Diane and Ansi and Jess talking about these things she’s like “huh? What? Why would someone do that?” And it almost sounds naive but it’s not she just has no idea what that’s like

Up until now she wasn’t even able to differentiate people by color or culture or looks because everyone looked relatively the same. She knew people had different hair and hairstyles and accents but she didn’t know why. She just figured it was part of the uniqueness she was trying to uncover (and technically it was, but she was thinking more everyone being themselves)

So her finding out about whole cultures and races and languages is a huge mind blower and a total game changer. Her previous goal of bringing out people’s uniqueness and having everyone be themselves now seemed a lot bigger.

Hobie takes her on as his own personal project. A punk-in-training if you will. He’s explaining all these things about corrupt governments and individuals being silenced and Angel is like

Because all of these things are resonating with her she just never knew how to explain it!!! Hence why Hobie is more like a Respected Older Brother than a crush. Heck she probably learns more than him than from her mentor. A black punk living in a racially discriminatory nazi run world + a black girl being suppressed by the system = yes.

And it’s not just Hobie! She learns more about her neurodivergency and managing it from Ansi and not being afraid to stand up and stand out and not care about what other people say from Diane. She learns about totally new cultures from Asa and Moche and navigating her queerness (which is also suppressed in her world) from Gwen. She just feels so alive and free. It’s like fucking Ariel

And some of these beliefs have to be reinforced. The racism thing doesn’t really hit and until she’s actually experienced it (either from an out of date Spider-Man or while taking a visit to a universe where racism is in its prime, like Hobie’s or Diane’s or Noir’s). The disdain for cops doesn’t happen right away either. Remember, Jordan’s dad is a cop, and she has an alright relationship with the police, so she doesn’t think they’re all bad-

until she gets shot by one while standing on a police car after capturing a villain, doing nothing but explaining her name, and having to call for help from HQ.

So honestly, you could say she’s naive. But I just feel like joining the Spider Society would be the one of the best things that’s happened to her so far.

What is a coronavirus?

Coronavirus, discovered in 1960,[1] is a positive-sense RNA virus that mainly targets the upper respiratory tract except for SARS which causes upper and lower tract infections and gastroenteritis. A positive-sense RNA is also known as positive-strand RNA virus[2]. The name is given due to its single strand of RNA while positive refers to genetic information carried for replication.

Coronavirus (CoV) belong to the order of Nidovirales, which includes Coronaviridae, Arteriviridae, and Roniviridae families. CoV is divided into two subfamilies, CoV and the second subfamily Torovirinae. CoV has a cap (lets call it head) which carries all the information needed for replication, while the tail has all the information related with structure and functions. The tail contains four important structures, S (spike), M (membrane), E (envelope), and N (nucleocapsid) proteins. The S structure is the one that attaches to the host cell receptors. The M structure gives the shape/form. The E structure is important for assembly and release of the virus; some virus need the M structure for pathogenesis. Structure N facilitates binding and affinity to viral or non-viral RNA. Both N and M work synergistically and facilitate replication and diffusion of the virus in the host.[3]

For binding, CoV mainly uses aminopeptidase as receptors except SARS and NL63 that use angiotensin-converting enzyme and MERS uses dipeptidyl-peptidase-4.

In the past CoV was classified according to the immune reaction, hence the Alpha, Beta, Delta, and Gamma nomenclature.

The Wuhan-coronavirus is new and is identified as 2019-nCoV.

How many human coronaviruses are known?[4],[5]

There are six coronavirus:

1.       Alpha coronavirus:

a.       229E (1960) – causes common cold

b.       NL63 (2004)

2.       Beta coronavirus:

a.       OC43 (1960) – causes common cold

b.       HKU1(2005)

c.       SARS-CoV (2003)

d.       MERS-CoV (2012)

3.       Unknown

a.       2019-nCoV (2019)

There is no vaccine for any, the only vaccine created was for SARS and it was an attenuated virus.

It is important to point that CoV killed by Clorox are SARS, MERS and that H-CoV mentioned must be the ones that cause common cold. [9]

Chinese Medicine, Essential Oils, Supplements and CoV Signs and Symptoms

In China, n-CoV is diagnosed as wet heat. The tongue has a thick yellow fur and a red and wet body. The signs and symptoms are runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, fever, and difficulty breathing leading to respiratory arrest.[10],[11],[12] The main feature is difficulty breathing and x-ray showing bilateral lung ‘infiltrates’. It takes 2 to 14 days to show any sign and symptoms. It is calculated that 2 people can infect 2.5 people a day, the infection increase rate is 53% per day.[13]

Herbal medicine contains polysaccharides, polyphenols, and antioxidants known to modulate and assist the immune system. Chinese medicine has a vast compendium of herbs that can be used for helping during any disease. Currently, China is using Chinese medicine and western medicine to fight the virus. For an herbal prescription a diagnosis is needed but as precaution you might use Gan mao ling. The ingredients in Gan mao ling are gang mei geng or wan dian jin (Radix Iicis asprellae), wu zhu he (Folium Evodia), shan pu he or wu zhi gan (Folium viticis) ban lan gen (Radix Isatidis), ju hua (Flos Chrysanthemum), jin yin hua (Flos Lonicerae), and bo he (Herba Mentha). This formula clears heat, toxins, and opens the chest. Ban lan gen and jin yin hua have immunomodulatory properties.[14]

Herbs that has shown effective against the CoV are rich triterpene glycosides such as saikosaponins A, B2,C, and D or phenolic compounds. The herbs are the followings:[15],[16]

·       Radix Bupleurum (Chai hu) – early stage infection of 229E

·       Radix Scrophularia (Xuan shen) -early stage infection of 229E

·       Lycoris Radiata (Shi Suan) – SARS

·       Herba Artemisia annua (Huang hua hao or Qing hao) - SARS

·       Folium Pyrrosia lingua (Shi wei) – SARS

·       Radix Lindera aggregata (Wu yao) – SARS

·       Isatidis indigotica (Ban lan gen, Cao da qing, Ma lan) – SARS

·       Torreya nucifera or Semen Torreyae (Fei zi) – SARS

·       Radix Dioscorea spp – SARS

Also, if we glance through the different plant preparations reported in this review, we will notice that most of them represent extracts made of more than one plant species. That draws our attention to the uniqueness of each plant species and their constituents, which together with other plants make a formulation effective in treating a plethora of viral infections. An in-depth analysis of such formulations along with a bio-activity guided isolation of active components shall definitely give a better idea about the active principles responsible for a varied antiviral action. Research in this direction is in progress as collated from different papers. There are ample reports revealing immunomodulatory properties of many plant extracts mediated through induction and release of pro-inflammatory cytokines, IL-6 and IL-12. IL-12, produced by activated monocytes/macrophages and dendritic cells, stimulate cell-mediated immunity to release IFN-c, promote Th-1 responses, and enhance CD8 + cytotoxic T cell activity, thereby playing a pivotal role in controlling viral replication. There also exist evidence on IL-6 production by macrophages in response to virus infections, in addition to reports justifying its role in clearing viral infection from the physiological system.[17]

Chinese medicine does have herbs that can stop any early sign and symptom, regulate and modulate the immune system, and even clear the body from a virus. Feel free to consult your acupuncturist on herbal treatment as soon as early sign and symptoms are present. Do not wait.

Another preventing method is taking a multivitamin and mineral, adding an extra dose of 25 mg of zinc, selenium, and manganese while adding 1,500 mg of L-Carnitine. L-Carnitine is converted to L-Acetylcarnitine[18],[19],[20] which has immunomodulator, sedative, and analgesic effects. It regulates dopamine, serotonin, and GABA and has an affinity for the hippocampus and hypothalamus. Zinc, selenium, and manganese are the minerals needed to produce super oxidase dismutase and glutathione peroxidase, two antioxidants produced by the human; L-Glutamine[21], an amino acid, is involved in the production of glutathione peroxidase as well.

A third way of prevention is diffusing essential oil of Eucalyptus radiata, E. globulus, E. citriodora, Laurel, Tea tree, Hyssop, and Palmarosa.[22] According to Schnaubelt, PhD hyssop has the strongest antiviral properties, palmarosa targets the upper and lower respiratory tract and tea tree has a broad application enhancing other oils qualities.

Last, Drink plenty of fluids, wash your hands, cover your face when sneezing, wash your hands after touching your mouth or any other surface and always gargle.

IL PADRE DELLA SPOSA

Sabato 25 Maggio alle ore 21.00 al Teatro di Via Dante l’Associazione Un…Due…Tre Alessio, con il patrocinio dell’Assessorato alla Cultura della Città di Castellanza, propone la commedia brillante Il padre della sposa messa in scena dalla compagnia amatoriale I Divinattori.

Una commedia esilarante, chiaramente ispirata al film degli anni ’50 Il padre della sposa  con la regia di Vincent Minnelli e  nel ruolo del protagonista un divertito e divertente Spencer Tracy alle prese con i preparativi delle nozze della figlia, una giovane Elisabeth Taylor. La commedia americana, candidata all’Oscar e considerata una delle commedie più divertenti Hollywood, era ispirata all’omonimo romanzo di Edward Streeter,  ebbe grande successo a Broadway e nei teatri di tutto il mondo e un altrettanto divertente remake cinematografico negli anni ’90 con protagonisti Steve Martin e Diane Keaton.

La compagnia teatrale I Divinattori porterà sul palcoscenico castellanzese i patemi di un padre che riceve dalla propria figlia la notizia “Papà ho una notizia meravigliosa da darti: mi sposo”. All’annuncio seguono una serie di situazioni divertenti e gag comiche che vedono protagonista un padre impegnato con ogni mezzo ad architettare ogni scusa immaginabile per non perdere l’amata figlia.

Il pubblico in sala vivrà con i protagonisti sul palcoscenico le ansie declinate in chiave comica di una famiglia borghese travolta dai preparativi per il matrimonio della figlia, sottolineate dalla contrapposizione dell’accettazione ineluttabile dell’avvenimento e dai disperati e comici tentativi del padre di mandare all’aria le nozze.

I proventi derivati dallo spettacolo saranno devoluti all’associazione Associazione Un…Due…Tre Alessio di Castellanza che rivolge la propria attenzione ai bambini malati di tumore in cura al reparto oncoematologico dell’Ospedale Bambino Gesú di Roma.

Una commedia esilarante, ricca di situazioni divertenti, gag, equivoci e battute che si mescoleranno in un cocktail esplosivo di risate e sentimenti, allegria e tenerezza! Long Live Tristan De Martel

 Nell’universo dispotico degli Originals, l’antagonista minore è sempre destinato a soccombere. Fatalmente, brutalmente, preferibilmente per mano degli stessi Mikaelson.

Se possibile in modo spettacolare, e a volte nel modo più sadico, per soddisfare gli istinti di quella parte del pubblico che delega ai protagonisti ansie, frustrazioni e desideri di rivincita.

Un quadro a volte inquietante, ma spesso non sufficientemente approfondito, dove la famiglia Orginale rappresenta un grumo di impulsi, tensioni, desideri repressi, che sarebbe stato molto interessante da studiare, se non da sciogliere. Ma non è questo il caso della quarta stagione della serie.

L’unica autrice del gruppo capace di cogliere sfumature morbose e affascinanti nei rapporti tra i protagonisti, e nello stesso tempo capace di una pietà che coinvolgesse tutti i personaggi, principali e minori, ha lasciato la serie alla fine della terza stagione. Il suo nome è Diane Ademu John.

Questa signora è stata capace di prendere un antagonista che era minore davvero ( piccolo, incompreso, poco amato) e di dedicargli un’intera, indimenticabile puntata. La fulgida 3x14, “Un tram chiamato desiderio”. Quando ormai egli era condannato e sparito di scena, destinato, secondo le parole del suo stesso creatore, a una “splendida, orribile, e perpetua fine”, ella l’ha temporaneamente recuperato dalla sua prigione sottomarina, regalandogli l’uscita di scena degna di un tragico anti-eroe.

Il nome di quel piccolo vampiro, che nel libro della serie occupa appena una riga, è Tristan De Martel.

Invero la sua posizione nella storia della famiglia Originale non è del tutto trascurabile, essendo la prima, controversa creatura di uno dei protagonisti. Il suo creatore è infatti figura di riferimento assoluto, il più anziano dei Mikaelson attualmente in vita: il nobile, incrollabile, spietato e insieme misericordioso Elijah Mikaelson. Colui che ha passato un’intera esistenza millenaria nell’opera di redenzione, che poi è riuscita ad altri, del fratello Klaus Mikaelson. Colui che ha sacrificato tutto: amicizia, affetti, rapporti filiali, per proteggere la famiglia e in particolare il fratello ibrido e incontrollabile, vittima di un padre sadico e di un istinto violento che tendeva a soffocarne l’intima buona natura.

In definitiva, il nostro Elijah è un grande, tragico fallito. Per questo infinitamente interessante. Intrappolato in una relazione sentimentale fasulla e forzata fin dalle prime battute con la possibile cognata. La vera protagonista, adorata da personaggi e autori, la ragazza di strada che è cresciuta orfana tra i lupi, la lupa che magicamente resta incinta di una creatura morta da secoli, la voce del buon senso e della ragione, la “splendida e crudele” (ma sempre a fin di bene) regina del Bayou e suprema Mary Sue: Hayley Marshall.

Per chi come me ha sempre amato il più tenebroso, represso e contorto dei Mikaelson, tale relazione, nata in lui più dal senso del dovere e dall’istinto innato di proteggere, che dalla vera passione e dalla vera complicità, è sembrata sempre più una condanna che una benedizione. Un modo di ridurre il personaggio, di esaltarne l’innegabile ipocrisia (il nobile Elijah non è meno spietato dei fratelli, è solo più controllato ed elegante nell’esecuzione). Una condanna che, come quella destinata al povero Tristan, pensavo non dovesse finire mai.

Tanto più che il motivo principale per accogliere Hayley nel cerchio ristretto dei Mikaelson non è certo la one night stand che ella ha condiviso con Klaus, ma di questa l’insperato e improbabile frutto: la piccola Hope. La figlia/nipote che fin dal nome dovrebbe assumersi l’ingrato compito di salvare e “redimere” (quanta confusione in quella parola) un’intera famiglia di vampiri millenari.

In questo scenario già abbastanza contorto, arriva nella terza stagione una splendida invenzione, che sfruttata meglio avrebbe aperto scenari affascinanti e imprevisti.

I fan li hanno soprannominati Trinity, e sono i primi vampiri creati dalla famiglia Mikaelson, in particolare da Klaus, da Elijah e da Rebekah. Le loro prime creature, vampiri quasi altrettanto antichi ma certo non altrettanto potenti, sono Lucien Castle e i fratelli Tristan e Aurora De Martel.

Il legame che questi hanno con i propri creatori non è semplicemente “sentimentale” (in senso lato). C’è tra i due gruppi un groviglio abbastanza difficile da decifrare di affetto, risentimento, sensi di colpa, legami amicali e filiali, attrazione erotica (nel caso di Klaus e Aurora… ma non solo).

In poche parole, la discendenza vampirica non significa automaticamente rapporto filiale, anche se spesso sembra rispecchiarne in modo malato i meccanismi di soggezione/invidia/frustrazione/ammirazione.

E se Lucien per Klaus sembra soprattutto un vecchio amico divertente e un po’ imbarazzante, se tra Rebekah e Aurora si era creata una sorellanza che i secoli hanno ormai fatto sbiadire, tra Elijah e Tristan si raggiungono i livelli più alti di non detto, di morbosità, di ambiguità.

L’autoritario Elijah esprime nei confronti della sua creatura un misto di accondiscendenza e di preoccupazione, lo attacca a parole con una violenza e persino una volgarità che non sembrano giustificate. E che sulle sue labbra, abituate a espressioni eleganti e formali, suonano ancora più incredibili.

Nel frattempo però lo provoca, lo titilla, con gesti di un’ambiguità omoerotica che non può passare inosservata. E di fatto, nonostante le ripetute minacce, senza mai esercitare una violenza fisica diretta.

Quando Tristan diventa complice del rapimento di Rebekah, Elijah arriva al punto di farlo torturare dalla propria fidanzata, fuggendo letteralmente dall’altra parte della stanza quando lei lo morde iniettandogli il veleno dei lupi mannari. E gettando così le basi per la successiva vendetta di Tristan.

Ma non è la sola cosa che stupisce, nel comportamento dell’Originale che fin qui avevamo venerato come “il nobile cervo”, il fratello buono.

Scopriamo infatti che alla base dell’inimicizia tra i due gruppi ci sono l’inganno e il tradimento dello stesso Elijah nei confronti dei tre ragazzi. Quando i Mikaelson devono di nuovo scappare per l’arrivo del perverso e violento padre Mikael, Elijah decide di trasformare Tristan in un vampiro.

Lucien, trasformato da Klaus senza sapere quello che faceva, è stato il primo. Aurora è riuscita con l’inganno a farsi trasformare da Rebekah. Nulla sappiamo delle modalità in cui viene creato il terzo. Ma sappiamo di sicuro che Elijah è consapevole delle sue azioni, e che userà questa cosa a proprio vantaggio. Soggiogando i tre per fare da esca a Mikael, convincendoli a impersonare i propri creatori, in modo che Mikael, cadendo nell’errore, insegua le loro tracce anziché quelle dei propri figli.

Inutile ripercorrere la storia e la fine di questo equivoco, a noi interessa solo il fatto che dopo un millennio i tre tornano per vendicarsi. E soprattutto per evitare l’avverarsi di una profezia che annuncia la fine dei Mikaleson, e perciò quella della loro discendenza (che è legata alla loro sopravvivenza).

Il resto è tristemente noto ai fan del Conte De Martel: Tristan rapisce Hayley e si vendica delle torture uccidendone il marito (il povero lupo mannaro Jackson, che la suprema Mary Sue ha sposato solo per rafforzare il branco e proteggere la figlia, nonostante l’attrazione reciproca che la lega a Elijah).

Klaus rapisce allora Aurora, e a Tristan non resta che riconsegnare l’oggetto magico con cui voleva rinchiudere per sempre i Mikaelson, la Serratura. Ma c’è di peggio: al momento dello scambio il Conte viene ingannato, rinchiuso a sua volta in un container sigillato con la Serratura, gettato in fondo all’oceano e costretto ad annegare per l’eternità.

Nel frattempo Aurora scappa, e allo stato attuale, una stagione dopo, non sappiamo più nulla della sua sorte.

Nella tragica scena della sua condanna, Tristan non si abbassa ad invocare pietà, ma si avvia al suo destino con lo sguardo gelido e l’espressione imbronciata del bambino che sta subendo un punizione ingiusta, mentre la nostra Mary Sue affranta gli promette: “Tu hai portato via un uomo molto buono da questo mondo. Lui sarà sempre con me… ma tu… tu sarai dimenticato… E mentre marcisci nell’oceano, ricorda la mia faccia. Perché sarà l’ultima che vedrai”

A parte l’ipocrisia di quel “lui sar�� sempre con me”, quando in una manciata di puntate lei finirà di nuovo a letto con Elijah… su tutto per me c’è lo splendido particolare di Elijah alle spalle di lei. E io sono certa, assolutamente certa, slash o non slash, che l’ultima faccia che Tristan ha guardato nel piano reale è stata quella del proprio creatore.

Ma tutto questo accadeva nella puntata 3x10, e posso immaginare lo stupore, la commozione di quella piccola parte dei fan, nel vedere riapparire Tristan quattro puntate dopo.

Non nel piano reale, ma nel piano astrale immaginato per lui dalla fedele Aya e dalle sue streghe (da quel container Tristan non uscirà mai, non da vivo).

La puntata è scritta da Diane come una splendida fan fiction ( e cioè molto, MOLTO meglio del canon), di quelle che servono a consolarci e a congedarci dai nostri personaggi preferiti quando il canon è ingiusto e ingrato, e certe cose sono ancora da chiarire.

Per ragioni troppo lunghe da spiegare, Aurora, Elijah e Klaus vengono spediti con la mente in una dimensione astrale chiamata Chambre de Chasse, creata dalle streghe per proteggere la mente di Tristan dall’incubo del continuo annegamento. Una dimensione crepuscolare ed elegante, creata per lui secondo i suoi gusti e la sua sensibilità, dove egli può pensare, leggere, suonare il violino.

Elijah e Klaus sono stati resi incoscienti dalle streghe, in attesa che venga spezzato il legame di sangue e che Aurora possa ucciderli con l’ultimo proiettile di quercia bianca.

Suppongo che a nessun cattivo della serie sia mai stato concesso tanto onore. Quello di congedarsi dalla persona che più ama al mondo con parole di speranza (tanto più struggenti in quanto lui stesso sembra non crederci), quello di affrontare a viso aperto il proprio aguzzino, in un faccia a faccia in cui finalmente sono solo loro due (nel frattempo Klaus e Aurora si scambiano minacce e parole taglienti che comunque abbiamo già sentito e non aggiungono molto al loro rapporto. )

In uno strano parallelo, perché Elijah è il creatore di Tristan, ma Klaus per Aurora è solo l’ex amante, in quanto la vampira è stata creata da Rebekah.

E nella morbosa esaltazione di una delle tematiche nascoste della serie, che è quella incestuosa. Molto prima che Tristan arrivasse, infatti, più d’uno aveva sollevato dubbi sui rapporti tra Klaus e Rebekah. E nella terza stagione, ancora più marcata è la nota incestuosa tra Tristan e Aurora. La devozione “patologica e pericolosa” dell’uno verso l’altra.

Stessa vibrazione un po’ ossessiva che corre tra Elijah e Klaus, d’altra parte. (Non a caso le parole dei due De Martel, quando Tristan prova a liberare la sorella nella 3x10. riecheggiano il “sempre e per sempre” dei Mikaelson.)

Ma evidentemente il parallelo può correre anche nell’altra direzione, presentando i quattro come due coppie di ex amanti.

E le parole di Tristan non mi convincono affatto sull’ipotesi del legame filiale.

Il suo “We are your children”, dove con We intende la sua linea di sangue, è piuttosto l’affermazione dell’unico legame che possa rivendicare senza sentirsi ridicolo e umiliato.

Un padre e un figlio non si scambiano occhiate e gesti di quel tipo e in quel modo, e se il rapporto dovesse intendersi in quel senso, sarebbe altresì ben più morboso, sbagliato e malato.

Per farla breve, alla fine e come amaramente previsto il piano astrale crolla, e Tristan fa giusto in tempo a salutare Aurora. A dirle “ti amo”, senza più riuscire a nascondere le lacrime.

Molto più di quanto sia riservato a gran parte dei personaggi minori. E l’ultimo viso che Tristan vede nella propria mente è quello di Aurora, alla faccia di Hayley e della sua solenni condanne.

(Suppongo che non sia un caso se l’amante di Elijah passi gran parte della puntata chiusa in un bagagliaio con il suo fidanzato in real life, Stefan Salvatore, al secolo Paul Weasley.)

Grazie, Diane. Una splendida uscita di scena, di quelle che un personaggio minore raramente può avere.

Una che voglio ricordare, come spettatrice e come slasher, con le parole più vibranti che Tristan abbia mai detto. Sono per Elijah, e a mio parere vibrano di risentimento ma in qualche modo anche d’amore:

You know, I'm almost grateful for those hundred-odd years I spent compelled to be you. It taught me so much... But nothing more important than how to not be you. Where you betray, I remain loyal. Where you abandon, I remain. And, should you find a knight or two in shining armor still foolish enough to fight for you... They will die right alongside you.

“Sai, sono quasi grato di quei maledetti cento anni in cui sono stato soggiogato per essere te. Mi ha insegnato tanto… Ma niente più importante di come fare a NON essere te. Dove tu tradisci, io sono leale. Dove tu abbandoni, io resto. E se tu dovessi trovare uno o due cavalieri in armatura splendente abbastanza stupidi da combattere per te… Essi morirebbero accanto a te”

Una splendida uscita di scena… L’unica che avremo.

Quando Diane ha lasciato, abbiamo perso l’unica autrice disposta a combattere per Tristan.

Sapevo, con buona approssimazione, che se il Conte fosse tornato avrebbe fatto una brutta fine. E temevo le loro moraliste attenzioni. Ma un’autrice così attenta e sensibile non gli avrebbe riservato una triste morte fuori scena, senza neanche essere nominato.

Che Tristan sarebbe morto mi era chiaro da mesi, da quando un’autrice di quelle politicamente corrette aveva risposto brutalmente che il nostro non sarebbe più tornato dall’oceano. A quel punto, l’unica scelta alternativa all’eterno supplizio sarebbe stata la fine della sua storia terrena.

Avevo plottato mentalmente per un anno, sperando in un ritorno e in ruolo da frenemy che potesse risolvere le questioni in sospeso. Ma a quanto pare no, il nuovo super-cattivo bidimensionale lasciava poco spazio per queste sfumature. E la nuova svolta politicamente corretta dei restanti autori minacciava soluzioni persino peggiori.

Però… la lettura fanon-slash di una coppia è sempre una forzatura, ma deve avere pure una base nel canon.

La mie fragili, precarie fondamenta basavano sul fatto che Elijah non fosse mai riuscito a uccidere Tristan (così come non riesce ad uccidere la sua ex amante e braccio destro del Conte, la Vampira Aya. Dovrà pensarci, come è ovvio, la “pietosa” Hayley).

E in parte sul fatto che Tristan non era morto, e perciò la sua condanna era reversibile (una specie di atroce punizione, non tanto strana da parte di uno come Elijah che ha tenuto uno dei propri fratelli per 900 – NOVECENTO – anni in una bara).

Alla fine, senza saperlo, mi sono venuti incontro proprio gli stessi perfidi autori, facendo morire temporaneamente Elijah, ma condannando così tutta la sua discendenza.

Riducendo Elijah al fantasma di se stesso per l’intera stagione.

E infine, supremo colpo di scena, dando il benservito alla più rispettabile delle coppie, quella costituita da Elijah e Hayley.

Con motivazioni, si badi bene, tutte sbagliate, dove il povero Elijah prende tutte le colpe e diventa un mostro di difficile redenzione… ma ragazze, la guerra è guerra. E dopo tante sofferenze io e il mio Tristan mentale non andremo tanto per il sottile.

Un Elijah triste e solo non ha dovuto subire l’atroce destino di dover uccidere la propria creatura. E non dovrà immaginarlo mentre soffre, nel frattempo che lui va avanti. Briciole. Tutto quello che potevamo avere.

E così, anche se ho paura a dirlo, la mia OTP in un certo senso è salva, anche se uno dei due è morto. È morto il Tristan-canon. Evviva il Tristan-fanon. Prima salvato dall’oceano, e poi liberato dall’asservimento un attimo prima che Elijah fosse “ucciso”.

Da fanon la mia OTP diventa crack e AU, ma poco male. Dovrò solo farli soffrire ancora un po’. Till we finally Breathe.

Non ditelo agli autori, però. A quanto pare volevano realizzare la promessa di Hayley, dimenticandosi di lui.

So I'm typing up answers for the OC x Hobie questionnaire post that you typed up and I was gonna make a personal post about this plot point that fixed itself in my mind but I feel like you need to personally know how much you've ruined me 😭

So I'm trying to figure out how long Ansi and Hobie have known each other since she's only been a spider for less than 5 years and in the society for like 2. So how did they come to have such a close emotional bond where they have such a strong sense of trust and loyalty towards one another that I can only compare to skk from bungo stray dogs in just 2 years????

At first I was like what if they knew one another just like a year before or something. And then Ansi was like, "Oh we've known each other for longer than that actually."

EXCUSE ME

Wdym y'all have known each other for longer than that?

So apparently back when Ansi was like 8 her father had accidentally figured out how to open up the way for interdimensional travel (he's just kooky like that) and a young boy (Hobie) had accidentally gotten sucked through into their world. He had to stay with them for a good 2 and a half years before her father figured out how to send him back. (Either the glitching doesn't exist or her father figured out how to stop it.)

So when Hobie and Diane came to visit that one time Ansi had a shaking feeling that it was him. But he didn't wanna get his hopes up especially with what was going on in her world at the time. BUT IT WAS HIM. And the reunion they had CHILE THAT REUNION WAS HEARTBREAKING. After joining the society they reconnect and head in hands, WHERE DID THIS COME FROM

I think she's lying to me tho but who knows. (Your father is a genius of his time but the multiverse? Really? But wait, that'd explain why Alchemax was out to get him and....OH MY GOD)

I hope he isn't lying through because that means I just cried over nothing.

(I'm not adding this to her story.....maybe idek. I got so emotionally invested just typing up this ask. *Cough* anyways I just needed to let you know the insan- I mean the ideas that have awakened. I'm only on the 2nd section of the questionnaire and I'm terrified of what's gonna pop up in my brain next 😭)

Ansi, Diane, Hobie, Bonding, and the Web of the Multiverse

[Screaming about my neurodivergent paracosm and how it syncs up with a mutal - and how the logic of the multiverse backs up/affects their stories] [This post is largely about Disco-Spider Diane and @spidey-bie's Ansi] THIS ASK IS SUCH A AHHHHHHAHAHHH BECAUSE AHHHHH SO MANY THINGS INTO THIS I HAVE TO-

ITS SO HARD TO ANSWER BECAUSE HOBIE IS IMMEDIATELY LIKE 'CAN I SAY SOMETHING' SHUT UP YOU CAN SPEAK AT THE END

The background Ansi gives you and the logic of what Hobie and Diane just did CONNECTS - like it all connects (Sorry this is lone)

And I'm SOOOOO SOOOO intrigued for their background. I plan to write a full post about this and explain fully what clusters are, how maps work, the function of bonding and how they work -

But this is how I 'learned' about all these things

I was interested in how certain universes would look if the multiverse was based on a flowchart like system to make a web - so I made a map of the multiverse based on attributes like style, time, and where they live -

AND FROM MY CALCULATIONS - NO JOKE - Ansi's universe would be the closest universes because he and Hobie share a cluster.

I explain like the logic of it in the post I'm finishing up BUT Ansi and Noir would border Hobie's in this map - and the closer universes are the more stable the transfer between them is.

SO WITH THE MAP HOBIE COULDVE REASONABLY FELL INTO ANSI'S UNIVERSE

AND WAIT THERES MORE - I was finishing up the Multiversal Map and realized Hobie and Diane were having a really good day at the boathouse

And then they introduced me to a whole new concept that we directly see in ATSV - Bonding

Multiversal Bonding -

[A long ass rant where I explain something wild Hobie and Diane just did in my head - and how it directly explains HOW Hobie fell into Ansi's universe too]

Diane and Hobie were doing their thing and then suddenly they shared a moment of this intense like...vibe, mental space idk

And afterwards they're like "oh yeah that happens because we're Bonded. Like Universe Bonded"

And I'm like WHAT WHAT IS THAT??? WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT

and this is where it goes wild...

Diane is like 'I...don't know. Something just happened what happened.'

What do you mean you don't know? I'm asking her to describe it and she's like 'umm errr' and Hobie isn't saying anything he's all dreamlike

Now all of this is happening directly after ATSV like an hour or two after they get everyone and head to Hobie's universe. - Gwen and the others are at the boathouse

Then Peter B. starts talking.... HUH??? Excuse me?

Hobie genuinely stopped and was like "wait how r u here, like in roman's head how are you here' like he's actually stunned. I DIDN'T know he could manifest in the boathouse

And Peter B. is the only one who knows what this term means. He had to explain it to me before I understood what they were doing

Peter B looks at Diane and Hobie and goes "........like Miles and Gwen?? How Gwen can feel Miles' spider-sense? Bonded'

Gwen is like 'ME AND MILES ARE BONDED????'

And Diane is like...we what now, i did what to the multiverse what does that mean

Peter has to explain the concept.

Miguel knew about bonding, and that two spider-people of close universes can 'Bond', and for a part-neurological, part-social link between the two of them.

This happened with Miguel and his partner Moche - and Miguel outright rejected it. As he's against Spider-people being together, and he believed Moche was better off with someone else

(he was actually just scared to accidentally kill her like he did gabriella but thats neither here nor there)

He instead chose to withhold the information of Bonding from the Society, and watched for it closely.

Only he, Peter, and Jess knew bonding was possible - and that's why Jess was SO against Hobie and Diane.

And everything just kinda clicked for Diane how brainwashed the society had made her cause for YEARS she was told having feeling for Hobie was wrong and NOT possible

But now that she's left The Society by her own choice, it was the last hurdle for them to finally be fully bonded.

SO NOW THERES THIS WHOLE NEW CONCEPT AND ASPECT TO THEIR 'RELATIONSHIP' AND IT AFFECTS SO MUCH

Like they can sense each others location, react to each others spider sense, if one of their hearts starts racing the other will feel it too. Now Diane can use his guitar as a club in battle. IN HER WORLD Hobie LOOKS NORMAL - in his universe she looks like him - since they can just slide into each others universe easier. Diane is less likely to glitch out, she just needs to wear the watch for a short time each week so her DNA can reach baselevel again

AND WHEN THEY FIGHT TOGETHER THEY GET INTO THIS FLOW STATE And they can just fight in complete tandem with each other now

And it's like !!!! They just did that???? Suddenly. Like looked into each others eyes at an emotional moment

(Diane's first time seeing Hobie after leaving The Society - A rundown

Hobie asked her to come with him before leaving the society, she said no because she wanted to stay for Jess and Gwen - A VERY HARD moment for them. Hobie is really wounded by this.

- Gwen gets sent home - Diane swings on Jess - They put her in a cage and let out after six hours. - Diane went immediately to Hobie's old abandoned dorm room, finding out Hobie still left parts behind for her.

She figured out how to hack herself based on all the times she watched hobie in the workshop - but she cant do it because she's missing one part and she's so frustrated with herself -

Jess comes to apology for Miguel and gives Diane Hobie's watch, an older model - insists Diane take it - Diane over his old watch and finds out Hobie's watch has the finally part she leaves - she hacks her watch and finally leaves the society)

This happened the movement they reunited with each other on the bow of the boathouse

then it was like a switch like not bonded to BONDED and NONE of us knew what that mean until Peter B said anything

But more than anything ITS LIKE AFTER SO LONG THEY HAVE THE WORD TO DESCRIBE WHAT THEY ARE WHEN THEYD BEEN AVOIDING IT FOREVER

They can finally just say "We're bonded."

Because it's not a romantic thing, it's not like that AT ALL. It's like a mental clarity between them like their understanding and connection to each other is a lot more clear and they can feel the other's emotions more clearly (but there's a distinction. Diane knows when she's feeling Hobie's feelings. it's a subtle thing, not a total emotion)

So that from their prior relationship they're now a lot more frictionless, but unchanged if you get what I mean

Like now Hobie annoys Diane more - Diane is down and free to go full groupie mode theyre suddenly REALLY good at planning and fighting together, and having each others back

The kind to do conversations like "Did you-" "Yeah, were you gonna-" "I was but before I was gonna-" "Handle the other thing? Oh okay that makes since." Like not even finishing sentences but understanding conversations totally

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED

About Bonding: (according to how Peter B explained it to me)

I explain it more in the multiverse post but basically its when two spiderpeople of nearby universes form a bond that at a certain point a switch is flipped -

since their dna's are so similar (being from close universes) it's easier for people of closer worlds - and people someone is BONDED to - to assimilate into the other's world, and feel their sensations.

This connection is almost permanent - though it goes dormant - and it can happen to anyone destined to be a spider-person. They don't have to be bitten yet.

Gwen and Miles are bonded, which is why she can feel his senses across universes.

And it's like a concept I never saw about the movie just became explained based on a totally unrelated situation Diane and Hobie had separately.

BUT ALL OF THIS IS TO SAY - Ansi & Hobie

Using this logic (I came up with at 5am while on a coffee binge) - Ansi's placement is CLOSER to Hobie's than Diane's is.

Hobie and Diane only share one cluster : The Time Desynchronization Cluster.

BUT Diane is from New York - so she's also apart of The New York & Adjacent Cluster with Pavi and Noir, while Hobie isn't.

And because Ansi is from Seattle he isn't in the New York Cluster either - so Diane's universe is farther away from Hobie's than Ansi's is. His universe is closer to Hobie's than Noir as well (as Noir also lives in NY)

And because of this - It's completely possible for Hobie to tumble into the next universe over.

AND ALSO because of this new unrelated term I learned from Peter B. of all people - his Ansi and Hobie bonded as young kids it would slow or totally reduce his multiversal decay.

Since their universes are so close, the multiverse can easily 'heal' itself without collapsing or shifting too much

Since they're so close, it's like the thread hasn't fully snapped. Because Hobie is close in proximity to his universe still, his universe hasn't 'noticed' enough to collapse in on itself

So as long as they found a way for Hobie to find equilibrium every week, or month, or even less - he's good.

Hell, if they bonded early it might even have been a year of him being there before any signs of glitching came on.

Even though Diane and Hobie are bonded, she still can't assimilate totally into Hobie's world 100%, because their universes are still a little farther apart. She can slip into his style or go in his universe unnoticed, but there's still that fraction of multiversal different. That's why for her, multiverse decay takes a week to set on instead of minutes or months.

Also bonding is permanent or near permanent - like it takes decades to wear off, though it may get weaker or dormant over time. But Ansi seeing Hobie come through the portal after all of those years and the bonding just KICKS IN and their spidey-senses go off

Diane sees this and is like ????? 'Hobie r u okay what r u feeling' cause he has this unreadable look on his face because one of the reasons he joined the Society WAS TO FIND ANSI.

He could figure out the watch on his own - but by going on missions and recruits he was just HOPING to find him one more time and finding out his universe number and he FINALLY DID

Immediately recognizing the house and being like 'damn im home.'

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA

I think your Hobie was right. Oh and...because I told him I would, here's Hobie.

H: We're always right. -Hobie please.

Would you like to explain how Bonding feels? H:...No words for it really. We're Shining, basically. (OMFG He said this and I was like - no way. That's weirdly out of character. The Shining wasn't out in the 70's. - NOPE The book came out 1977. IT'S A NEW RELEASE TO HIM. I SWEAR I didn't know this I don't even like Stephen King. I've never even read the bookHOW DID HE KNOW THAT)

Okay. How does Bonding feel? D: (Basically just squealing - after the initial shock she just kept jumping on his back)

Say hi to Ansi. D: OMGG I feel so far out right now!! Literally, like my brain is so OUT there. This is WICKED. COME OVER. are you busy? PLEASE tell you two have kid photos of you together. I NEED to see! - I think she has ADHD too D: It's like he's IN my head - Now you know how I feel.

Nah cause you asking if Hobie can dance made me think about whether my OC can dance or not. So now I'm thinking Ansi goes to her first Spider Society party. She's sitting by the dance floor drink in hand, it's juice sadly she's not legal 😔, wondering if she should dance or not. She's so lost in her thoughts that she doesn't realize that Diane and Hobie have pulled her onto the dance floor.

At first she just stands there, paralyzed. She could get out of this, somehow. She could go and sit right back down and watch as all the other Spiders enjoy themselves. Once again not allowing herself to be a part of it. Slowly slipping into the background to remain unseen.

And then she sees Hobie dancing. His moves are wild and uncoordinated and yet there he is, having the time of his life. And then there's Diane. Her dancing is in a league of its own and yet she's hyping Hobie up and encouraging Ansi to show off some moves of her own. In that moment something clicks for Ansi and she remembers that right now she doesn't have to be perfect. Right now she's not Tech Tarantula and she's not her mother's ideal daughter. Right now she's Ansi Taratella and she wants to dance her heart out. And just like that, she's right there dancing with them. Her moves are definitely nowhere near as good as Diane's but at least she's on beat unlike Hobie.

The party lasts til dawn and Ansi sneaks back into her home exhausted. She knows she's gonna be in pain the next day. But she doesn't care. She looks through all the Polaroids that she was able to somehow sneak in throughout the night. Smiling at the memories that she made. She stops after she finds the photo that she was looking for and sets it on her nightstand to hang behind her bed later. It was a photo she had taken with Diane and Hobie right after they danced together. It had been so long since she had danced like that. So she wanted to have that moment of happiness frozen in time so she could treasure it for the rest of her life.

(I laughed so hard thinking about this at first. And I was near tears at the end.)

YEESSS YEESSSS THE FOUND FAMILY IS SOOO STRONG

Diane is usually so terrified of getting close to people in her world because it seems like everything is a canon event waiting to happen an everyone is either a Green Goblin or Glenn Stacy (her Gwen) in waiting

But then she joins the Spider Society and she doesn't have to be afraid anymore

And her and Ansi and Hobie spend dozens of nights going to shows and discotheques and record stores and For once FOR ONCE they don't have to worry about hiding their powers or avoiding canon events or going on missions and its a totally new type of freedom and theyre all the bestest of friends!!!

Like canon events aren't what unites them what unites them is music and hanging out and goofing off with their powers together and venting to each other and it's about their collective support rather than collective suffering
