In a weird mood tonight and usually that means it’s time to write a long tumblr readmore about my feelings.
Overwhelmingly, things are good... I think? There’s an underlying anxiety but I think that has a lot of causes and most of them are “I am nowhere near done with everyone’s christmas presents and also I am unprepared for some of my finals next week.” So like, short-term stress to get everything done, but that is only temporary. I hope.
There are a lot of OTHER things that are very exciting though.
I’ve finalized the course schedule I want next semester (registration is Monday so I won’t know for SURE until then, but hopefully I get into the courses I want) and if it goes according to plan I’ll have only 3 days of classes per week, which means I have a 4-day “weekend” to do a combination of homework/review, rest/personal projects, and also - potentially, possibly - some part time work.
I tried doing part-time work this semester and quit after a couple months. Because I commute, the added stress of an extra day going all the way to and from campus was a huge exhaustion factor, and I just had so much less time and energy to do the things I wanted to do on top of homework. Also, I was working as an IT assistant, but the person I was reporting /TO/ effectively had the same job I had before I came to grad school, and that would have been fine if he didn’t think he was hot shit when I literally have more experience in the field (and, like, working in general) than he does. So anyway, that didn’t last, and I’m glad I quit because I have so sorely needed the rest.
The only reason I am considering part-time work again next semester... well, not only; I am definitely anxious about trying to offset my loans, but given how huge the loans are and how I will probably never actually pay them off, I’m not actually completely worried about it... but the main reason: I want to work in the recording department.
The recording class I took this semester honestly changed my personal and professional goals. I loved every second of it. I love how it intersects my IT knowledge (if you understand signal flow in a networking context, you can understand signal flow in a patch panel for a mixing board - it’s the same thing) with my interest in music. And after running my own recording session, I realized that I LOVE doing it and I want more knowledge and experience.
I am also very, very aware that I have been “That Student” in this class. I’ve stayed and talked to the professors after class to talk about different kinds of cables. I asked one of the professors for recommendations on a cassette tape recorder and bought one. (In fact I’m meeting with one of the professors to do an out-of-class soldering session to replace some capacitors on it.) I am genuinely and intensely interested in the material and when they ask review questions in class like “describe the pros and cons of analog versus digital signals” I physically cannot repress the urge to raise my hand and give a very, very, very detailed answer.
I was an insufferable know-it-all throughout middle and high school, and I try to not be an insufferable know-it-all anymore, but in this class it is kind of resurfacing because I just love the material SO much. We did a lesson on soldering mic cables and I was the only one who did all of the connectors in the allotted time - and it was after that class, actually, when I was helping the professors clean up, and they asked me if I was interested in working part-time in the recording department.
Because of how overwhelmed I’ve been this semester I denied the offer at the time, but I talked to my professor about potentially next semester or next year. He said to check back around January after getting a feel for my new schedule, and we can talk about it then.
I’ve also offered to some friends and peers to help them on their recording sessions if they want help, a few people have taken me up on it (in fact on Monday I’ll be going in early to help someone) - but I’m also afraid I’m being a bit bossy and overbearing. I joined a session on an open invite today and I helped them set up a reverb aux send, but my motivation was 99% because I wanted to figure out how to do it (couldn’t get it to work on mine). So it was working, and I tried to be cautious about overstepping boundaries and checking that what I was doing was beneficial for them too, but I’m still worried I kind of just took over the whole thing. I don’t think I did but I’m still worried. Hard balance to strike. I am actively working on pulling back and letting other people do their thing, and just making sure I’m available to answer questions without telling them how they should be doing things.
Anyway! This all aside, the actual best news for next semester is there is a second-semester extremely focused in-depth class on studio recording that goes WAY more into detail on signal flow, analog and digital signals, and even covers things like recording audio over a network (Audio over IP). It is a super small class size so might be hard-ish to get in, but I am hoping I’ll be able to, especially if I talk to the professor about it. It conflicts with a course I’m supposed to take but I got the OK from my advisor to take the bachelors-level version of that required course instead, as it covers the same material just at a slower pace (which is fine by me!!), because I emphasized just how much this focused recording course interests me.
So.... I don’t know, it’s actually very exciting, I’m just a bit nervous. Part of me is convinced my classmates hate me for exuding “I’m the best and smartest at the subject” energy, and part of me is convinced my professors hate me for being so loud/inquisitive and that they didn’t REALLY mean I should apply and they don’t REALLY think I’m anything special, and the logical part of me knows that’s bullshit (and, well, I mean if some people hate me that’s just life). But anyway. Can’t make the brain shut up unfortunately.
I will feel a lot better about things once I have done a few more Christmas presents, registered for courses, and studied a bit more for my finals. But we’re not quite there yet so the excitement is compounded with anxiety. So it goes!
(Completely unrelated things are also compounding the excitement-anxiety mush in my gut, but honestly I’ve already gone on quite enough of a tangent here. TL;DR - I am very aware of the fact that I am probably getting more opportunities than some of my peers. And while a good chunk of that is my own professional experience knowing how to advocate for my own education and also how to navigate professional relationships, as well as me just being older and therefore having less fucks to give, and ALSO me just working really really hard and knowing exactly what I came here for; I also know that I as a white person with upper-middle-class parents and certain other advantages makes it anything but an even playing field. I’m trying to be conscious about that too, even though I do believe my own hard work and focus is being rewarded, others would probably have to work much harder to get the same rewards... and that. sucks. Anyway. I’m trying to also make it a point to collaborate with my peers more and help out when they ask, and work alongside them, and just not have so much of a stick up my ass as I used to. Music is collaborative, I’m not going to make it anywhere doing anything if I’m not willing to work with others, and create something together.)

HTML vs CSS
In the digital world, if you want to design your website, you need to use HTML and CSS. And explaining what the difference between HTML and CSS is can help you web design faster and create likable sites with great user experience counts.
HTML vs  CSS
Works mutually to generate the website. Hypertext markup language generates the on-page page content, and CSS generate the style of the website.
In other words, HTML is like a body, and CSS looks like a garment. The body may exist without clothes, but it can look quite simple. When you put simple HTML on CSS, you create a more dynamic website, improving your user experience.
In this blog, we will explain the difference between HTML vs CSS below:
Difference Between HTML vs CSS
These are the following:
HTML:  HTML stands for a hypertext markup language. It is a fundamental language being used to make website pages. It has an especially d code structure, which makes it very simple to learn and learn differentiated with some other language.
CSS or falling style tables are the language of style tables that can be applied to any XML archive. Its motivation is to improve the stylization of specific things so the composed code will be a lot simpler to peruse.
HTML is really basic, with a couple of signals that are intended to arrange certain words, sentences, or passages. It additionally very justifies mistakes by giving a few outcomes, regardless of whether there are mistakes in the code.
This part of HTML makes it simple to learn and compose basic site pages that contain just a modest quantity of substance and designing. The issue with HTML is that it doesn’t scale well when you begin to create greater or progressively delightful pages.
Styling can remember a few catchphrases for each area, and this is rehashed a few times in the same spot, making the page pointlessly long. The simple to learn language turns out to be confusing, and it’s very hard to follow after you’ve committed errors.
Examples:
HTML tags on very basic level keywords, which are encased in point sections and usually arrive in a set.
<tagname> content </tagname>
HTML components represent a particular area on a site page.
Content is the writings, connections, pictures, or other data shown on your site page.
The start tag is an HTML component used to show the start of the component.
End tags are the HTML component to separate individual parts.
CSS:  CSS stands for cascading style sheets. This is the language of style tables that can be utilized for any XML record on the screen. CSS was intended to rearrange code on a lot of bigger pages.
This doesn’t indicate that CSS can’t be utilized on more straightforward and less complex pages. CSS can, in any case, be helpful for littler pages, however, the advantages become all the more clear as the page size increments. CSS does this by making a custom that characterizes the correct textual style, size, shading, edges, and even foundation. These custom labels can be utilized similarly as standard HTML catchphrases.
For example:
Font and Bold; however rather, on the off chance that you simply transform one perspective, it changes each viewpoint as per the meaning of the tag.
The last result of this is you will simply need to use one tag to achieve a particular view, and you can use that tag over and over on your pages. You are moreover not confined to a solitary tag, you can make as much as you need to change your page totally.
CSS is just a gadget that has gotten well known on account of its identity. This makes it much less complex to make pages and fix issues. While you can use CSS on HTML pages, it’s not just for HTML. It can in like manner be utilized in various tongues like XML and XHTML, among others.
Examples:
CSS statements rest inside wavy sections, and each consists of two sections: property and its worth, isolated by a colon. You can characterize various features in a single revelation, each separated by a semi-colon.
Selectors demonstrate which HTML component you need to style.
Declaration incorporates property and worth isolated by a colon. Also, wavy props encasing all affirmations are known as Declaration square.
Qualities determine the settings you need to apply in the picked properties.
Properties mean the parts of components you need to change.
Advantage of HTML vs CSSHTML:
HTML is generally utilized.
Simple to learn and utilize.
Each program supports HTML Language.
Try not to need to buy any additional product since it is naturally in each window.
Analogous from XML linguistic structure, which used to an expanding degree for information stockpiling.
It is free as you need not purchase any product.
Simple to learn and code even to apprentices.
CSS:
It easily maintains large websites.
CSS saves the time of the website. You can specify a method for each HTML element and easily apply it to the web pages.
The Script offers steady stage freedom and can bolster the most recent programs also.
Global web standards provide good ideas to start using CSS in all the HTML pages.
The search engine will allow a large number of users to locate you on the internet. Less content will play an important role in the search engine.
CSS can position your elements where you want on the web page.
CSS has better styles for HTML and a lot more extensive scope of characteristics.
Disadvantage of HTML vs CSS HTML:
1. It can generate just static and plain pages, so if we need dynamic pages, at that point, HTML isn’t valuable.
2. Need to compose part of code for making an easy site page.
3. Security highlights are bad in HTML.
4. On the off chance that we have to compose long code for making a website page, at that point, it delivers some intricacy.
CSS:
Lack of security: CSS doesn’t have the work in security that will shield it from being abrogated. Any individual who has a perused/compose access to a site can change the CSS document, adjust the connections or upset the organizing, regardless of whether coincidentally or structure.
Fragmentation: CSS renders various measurements with every program. Developers ought to consider and test all code over numerous programs before taking any site, or portable application live with the goal that no similarity issues would emerge.
Key Difference between HTML vs CSS
These are the following:
HTML is essentially a standard markup language for representing the structure of website pages though CSS is the template language for depicting the introduction and plan of pages
HTML is anything but difficult to learn and has clear language structure though CSS can here and there get untidy and can make entanglements in codes.
CSS is autonomous of HTML, and it tends to be utilized with any XML-based markup language while this isn’t a similar case with HTML
HTML records can contain CSS codes, yet then again, CSS can never contain HTML codes in it.
HTML gives labels which are encompassing the substance of any website page components through CSS comprises of selectors which are encompassed by an affirmation square
CSS has fractured, yet HTML doesn’t create any such issues.
CSS utilizes a lot lesser code and along these lines produce a lot lesser page stacking time than HTML.
Should you learn HTML or CSS
Website designers need to ace both HTML and CSS. When all is said in done, it bodes well, to begin with, HTML first, especially on the grounds that the expense framework is generally simple to learn.
Yet, learning HTML and CSS together, particularly the manners in which they associate with one another, gives website specialists more authority over their pages.
For instance, architects compose CSS in a few distinct organizations: outside templates, inner templates, and inline style. Outer models gather all the CSS guidelines for a site’s plan in a single record, which creators usually connect to in the header of each page on their site.
Interior templates apply to one specific page, a valuable device for architects who need an alternate style for a single page on their site. Creators incorporate the inner template in the page’s header. At long last, inline styles influence just a solitary line of HTML code, changing only the title or one single section.
Understanding when to utilize these various arrangements is a significant piece of acing, both CSS and website designers.
Conclusion:
In the above discussion, we explain the difference between HTML vs CSS. In the difference of looking at HTML vs CSS over a scope of variables, it very well may be supposed that these are two of the center web scripting languages for website page improvement however at a similar purpose of time, everyone has its own upsides and downsides.
Along these lines, before picking any of them, engineers ought to learn and break down various parts of HTML and CSS dialects. Therefore, in light of the kind of undertaking need, time of work and on all other unique examined viewpoints, these web scripting languages ought to be chosen to appear at the ideal objective.

Why do I receive different results when comparing a digital ?
Why do I receive different results when comparing a digital filter designed using the BUTTER and BILINEAR functions in the
Signal Processing
Toolbox?Using the following specifications:
Fs     = 172800; Fc     = 70000;
where "Fs" represents the sampling frequency and "Fc" represents the cutoff frequency, I created a digital filter in two different ways:
1. Using the BUTTER function.
[B ,A] = butter(4,Fc/(Fs/2));
2. Using the BILINEAR function to convert the analog filter designed using the BUTTER function into a digital filter through a bilinear transformation.
[Bs,As] = butter(4,Fc*2*pi,'s'); [Bz,Az] = bilinear(Bs,As,Fs);
I then used the FVTOOL function to compute the magnitude response and compared the two results:
fvtool(B,A,Bz,Az);
Notice that the results of the two magnitude responses are not the same even though I am using the same specifications.

This is the expected behavior for filter discretization in the
Signal Processing
Toolbox. The example above illustrates the nonlinear nature of the bilinear transformation. To counteract this nonlinearity, it is necessary to create analog domain filters with "prewarped" band edges, which map to the correct locations upon bilinear transformation. If you want to design the analog filter that will be equivalent to the design using the ‘s’ option in the BUTTER function, you need to prewarp the frequency as follows:
Wc = tan(pi/2*Fc/(Fs/2)); % Analog prewarped freq. rad/second
Note that this frequency is already in rad/second so the analog design is:
[Bs,As] = butter(4,Wc,'s');
Now the issue is what sampling frequency (Fs) to use with BILINEAR. In the prewarping method used to compute "Wc", we implicitly used the bilinear transformation that is most commonly seen in the literature:
s=(1-z^(-1))/(1+z^(-1)).
In the BILINEAR function documentation, the following transformation is used:

Benefits Of Siemens Txm1 Transmitters
By Robert Howard
The communication happening in daily life is majorly in the form of signals. While most of the signals, especially sound being analog, there are challenges associated with the nature of the signal. When transmitted over great distances, they can be distorted and affect the reception strength. For this and many other reasons listed below, you may want to consider using siemens txm1 digital transmission module for effective digitization. For the most part, digital transmission does not depend on the level of signals for clarity. This makes them considerably invulnerable to some of the imperfections you see in real electronic systems. You do not expect, for example, to grapple with interference, distortions or breaching of digital signals infrastructure like it is the case with analog systems. You will find digital compact discs more popular than LPs. When it comes to transmitting information, digital transmitters often use codes. The codes are used to maintain the privacy of content or breaking down the content into smaller bits for easier transmission. In that regard, these signals can transfer content without causing alarm. Analog signals, on the other hand, are usually inconsistent. All levels of noise can affect the signals, hence interfering with the content transmission. If you are wondering why digital signals are noise proof, they often use different formats to encode data before it is transmitted. This makes it almost impossible to determine the different pieces of disintegrated content labeled by a series of letters or numbers. In addition, the smaller pieces of content are light hence easier to transmit. In other words, digital transmitters use less bandwidth. To enjoy the benefits of digital transmitters, it is often recommended to choose the right brand of components. There are many manufacturers of digital transmission modules in the market today. A good rule of thumb involves doing proper homework to facilitate making informed choices. Not all the digital transmitter brands in the market are equal. Therefore, be sure to select the right one for your case. When shopping for the right digital transmitter suppliers, a good rule of thumb is to know your specific needs. This will go a long way towards providing the right options to look at. When looking at thousands or millions of components in a single order, you cannot afford to make a whimsical choice. Take time to know where and how the transmitter will be used to find the right one for your case. You may want to ask prospective digital transmitter suppliers for a list of the most recent customers they have worked with. It is recommended to talk to other businesses that procure the transmitters from the manufacturer. This will help you get clear insights into how they operate and whether their products are of high quality. Even so, be wary of suppliers that do not want to provide references. Your decision of the right digital transmitter suppliers should be based on proper market research, personal needs, and due diligence. Be sure to get more insights by reading online customer testimonials. Review sites such as the Better Business Bureau can be trusted for the most reliable reviews and ratings. This is an important step before making your preferred choice.

Introduction to Wireless Digital Communication - eBook
Tumblr media
Introduction to Wireless Digital Communication establishes the principles of communication, from a digital signal processing perspective, including key mathematical background, channel models, receiver and transmitter signal processing algorithms, and generalizations to multiple antennas. Robert Heath’s “less is more” approach focuses on typical solutions to common problems in wireless engineering.
Wireless communication is a critical discipline of computer science and electrical engineering, yet the concepts have remained elusive for most students who are not specialists in the area. This etextbook makes digital communication and receiver algorithms for wireless communication broadly accessible to graduates, undergraduates, and practicing electrical engineers. Notably, the ePub/PDF ebook builds on a signal processing foundation and does not require prior courses on analog or digital communication.
Heath presents digital communication fundamentals from a signal processing perspective, focusing on the complex pulse amplitude modulation approach used in most commercial wireless systems. He describes specific receiver algorithms for implementing wireless communication links, including synchronization, channel estimation, carrier frequency offset estimation, and equalization. While most concepts are presented for systems with single transmit and receive antennas, Heath concludes by extending those concepts to contemporary MIMO systems.
To promote learning, each chapter includes previews, bullet-point summaries, examples, and numerous homework problems to help readers test their knowledge.
Basics of wireless communication: history, applications, and the central role of signal processing
Digital communication essentials: components, distortion, coding/decoding, channels, encryption, and modulation/demodulation
Synchronization, including symbol, frame, and carrier frequency offset
Signal processing: linear time invariant systems, Fourier transforms, probability/random processes, derivation of complex baseband signal representation and equivalent channels, and multi-rate signal processing
Least-squared estimation techniques that build on the linear algebra typically taught to electrical engineering undergraduates
Frequency selective channel estimation and equalization
MIMO techniques using multiple transmit and/or receive antennas, including MISO, SIMO, and MIMO-OFDM
Complex pulse amplitude modulation: symbol mapping, signal bandwidth, constellations, and noise
Note: This only includes the ebook and does NOT include any online access codes etc

Dry Dog/Wet Dog
I For my third homework I wanted to create something with new hardware I acquired recently. For my input I decided to try and use a analog water sensor to detect if the step motor and lcd monitor would work. However, I found that missing the previous class may have put me at a disadvantage. That or step motors are incredibly complicated.
Tumblr media
Before I hooked up anything I wanted to understand what I was connecting with the step motor. With the previous homework I understood how the power was flowing and creating a circuit. However, for this I wasn’t exactly sure how it really worked. I started by watching some videos including this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkqoKWP4Oy4
However, it did not help and I really just don’t get how these motors work at all. So I attempted to take a shot at it.
Tumblr media
The first thing that confused me was that everyone said I need a separate power source to make a step motor run or else the steps would drain the microprocessor. So I had to strip the attachment for my battery to connect to my Uno in order to hook it to the microprocessing module for the step motor. However, I had a lot of trouble with this not working.
youtube
After a bit of work though I found out that I was not using the correct libraries and then I had to install those in the correct place.
youtube
The next step was to try and figure out an input that would get it working. I decided to use the water analog sensor I had received recently. First I tested to see if it would work.
youtube
It worked fairly easily! So I decided that I would try to make a circuit with the step motor, water sensor and digital LCD to create a dog swimming with signals.
Tumblr media
However, I struggled a lot figuring out how to get the sensor to make the step motor move because I was unfamiliar with the library for the motor and the code I was initially referring to was designed for multiple motors. However, after some changes I got it to work. However a weird problem was that the motor has begun to act weird in tandem with the serial monitor.
youtube
As it can be seen in the video the motor looks unchanging. However it is rumblng inside at different rates depending on the code. So I consider that a partial success.
I have messed with the LCD but did not have enough time to get them both working.

The Importance of Car Audio Installation
The Little-Known Secrets to Car Audio Installation It's possible to add that functionality using a third-party gadget for your vehicle, but those always get quite pricey. 110 Volt SystemsThe 110 volt outlets utilised in some RVs and camper trailers are vulnerable to shorts due to the way that they are installed. The very best car stereos offer high-quality audio which has many playback options while keeping up a hands-free connection to your mobile phone. Apparently the notion of establishing a DVD player together with a roof mounted screen in your automobile is the simplest and perhaps the most economical style to transform all of your long drives into full-fledged entertainment trips. It's a tiny, cube-shaped camera that may literally be kept in a pocket and taken everywhere. Everything works like a standard radio alarm clock, even furthermore, it appears like a true clock radio. Each time a new method to follow music or another type of entertainment programming comes around, engineers find a means to place it in your car or truck. You may set the DVD player in the glove compartment exactly like the USB port. This home theatre system is wholly enormous. What to Do About Car Audio Installation Before It's Too Late As an issue of fact, the most recent car models are now equipped with gadgets that lowers the fuel consumption. Well, thatas sufficient to send you shopping for a completely new car. You are able to purchase a broad range of car DVD players through Amazon or from numerous vehicle accessory outlets. http://reaudio.com/ selling characteristic of the Pyle 12 inch subwoofer is the fact that it only weighs 12 lbs, which makes it the ideal candidate for the car enthusiasts that are looking to continue to keep their vehicle's weight low! Fortunately for all those of us not prepared to obtain a brand-new vehicle, most aftermarket vehicle stereo manufacturers have CarPlay compatible receivers out there. Choosing to prepare an overhead DVD system in your automobile can be rather rewarding in the very long run, but composite at the beginning. Auto One offers truck and auto stereo equipment from the country's best sounding manufacturers. Once you've already done with the Car audio, you're going to know the best way that you may select an automobile audio should you require it again. Whatever you would like to utilize your Car Stereo With Lcd for, we can aid you in finding the perfect one. Most vehicles have front wheels that are independently suspended as a consequence of the front axles getting eliminated. Essentially, ported box is the one that is going to make your rear seats shake! Make sure that the lineation is centered from each side of the vehicle. If you wish to put in a new stereo system in your vehicle, you should first do your homework. One of the typical misconceptions as soon as it comes to getting a small vehicle subwoofer is the fact that it is not going to have as much power as the larger 12 or 15 inch subwoofers. When it has to do with deciding on a speaker from one of the great subwoofer brands, in fact, there are thousands of models to select from. Once it costs somewhat more and may also require a more powerful amplifier, it's probable that it will earn a wonderful difference, especially if bass is valuable to you. You should also guarantee that you purchase the maximum high quality amp that you are able to afford. The majority of the small vehicle subwoofer in the Bazooka series will hit all the bass notes in the song that you're listening to, whatever the frequency. A radio with a digital tuner is quite helpful so that you understand precisely what frequency you're listening to. You would then have to prepare the audio cable to the FM modulator. Once you are certain the stereo works, now you can install the remainder of the dash conversion kit! You're able to customize your system in accordance with your requirement and preference. The sound is incredible and the whole system does in reality exceed my expectation. In conclusion, you may choose one or more of these options depending upon your need and suitability but please remember that in the instance of repairs and part replacements, you need to take a step only after weighing the advantages and disadvantages of each available alternative. Listening to music when traveling in a car has turned into a norm nowadays. A ported box permits you to hear the bass far more than feel the bass. It's far more difficult to pinpoint the ideal approach to target music to older listeners. You may pick a side if you wish to, but itas probably more advisable to maintain an open mind. In addition, there are a few different things to bear in mind when you're deciding between different subwoofer boxes. The place of the player ought to be in such a manner that it's comfortable for every person to watch without any hassles. What where can i buy a car stereo Need to Know About Car Audio Installation Otherwise, there are a lot of internet ISO harness adaptor stores that will let you easily locate the ISO harness adapter that's correct for your vehicle. The aim of the ported box is to emphasize a specific frequency. If you're unsure what your problem is though, make certain you read through all the feasible issues, and go to my other articles on solenoid troubles and alternator problems to produce sure that you are able to rule those out too. Your alternator should know when every one of those things is plugged in and turned on, so it can boost power. This circuit was created to improve the old Analog signals and filter out the other interference signals. Don't buy two when you can purchase one that could create the ability of two. Hence, in the event you desperately require a completely new replacement part for your vehicle, you may have to wait till it's available at discount costs. The reviews of our products will be provided by companies testing the merchandise. It's a fair price at under $16,000. Those huge flat long discount stores have come quite a distance and in certain ways they're much the exact same. It's in an excellent budget for teens and you are able to buy one starting under $16,000. The only factor being, these pieces are not brand-new.

For your help in assigning computer network, all assignment experts can be a choice you can trust.
About Computer Network homework Help
The computer network is one of the most essential and interesting disciplines for students of electronics and computer engineering. This topic is at the core and provides complete information about how prevailing communication systems, such as wired and wireless communication networks. All components used, the different types of topology used and all the essential concepts relating to the technical aspects of networking with the computer are explained in detail in this subject. Different terminologies used in the computer network are mentioned below. Based on this, there are numerous assignments and projects are given to students:
In generic terms, they are divided into the form of wired, wireless, and distributed and undistributed networks.
The computer network can be defined as the set of computers also known as nodes that are connected using wires or wireless media.
The primary purpose of networking between the computer is the sharing of information and resources. With the help of the shared network, you can share resources and information. You can create files on one computer and access them on another.
There are different types of topologies, such as star, mesh, bus, and ring topologies, that are used to establish the network.
Routers, cables, distributors, network cards (internal and external), and USB are some of the necessary hardware that is used to establish a network. Network interfaces, firewall, repeaters, hubs, bridges, switches, and modems are the necessary hardware that has made it possible for the Internet to function as the computer to the network.
Different protocols are used for communication on computer networks such as TCP/IP and more. We are mentioning protocols here because computer networking is a generic term that is used. However, the World Wide Web is also a type of computer network on which different servers and computers are connected on a large scale that uses the different set of algorithms and protocols to work with.
There are different types of computer networks, such as LAN, MAN, WAN, VPN, backbone network, Internet and Intranet with extranet, and so on. Let's discuss these networks in summary:
LAN means the local network of acres that is valid up to a limited area, such as in a building or in any institution.
MAN represents the metropolitan network that exists in areas such as a small town or village. The cable network used for TV broadcasting is MAN type.
WAN means area network that covers a wide area. The Internet is one of the examples of WAN.
VPN is the virtual private network that comes in the application when members of the company or group of computers form a network so that they can share the different files and other resources needed. VPN are widely used to gain access to multiple sites that are not allowed to open in a specific area or on a particular server
The Internet is the WAN or the global network, which is widely used for different applications such as search, download, upload and so on.
However, the intranet is valid only as small LAN, MAN, or VPN. It cannot be considered as WAN because not everyone can access the network. It is a private network with authorization only for some people.
Wired, wireless and exotic technologies are currently being used for communication over the computer network
When you are in high school or undergraduate school, you may have to present some of the basic concepts and their functioning in the form of attribution. However, if you are studying in higher classes, such as PG or PhD, you may have to do research on the wireless network (the most common currently) or other relevant and new concept and bring something new to your dissertation. Your computer systems-based thesis is quite complex, as you will not only have to formulate something new, but you will also have to prove it. This is where you want to get help with the computer network homework.

So You Want to be an Activist: An Intro
===So You Want to be an Activist: An Intro=== Non-profit and free for redistribution Written on May 27th | 2017 Published on May 29th | 2017 For entertainment and research purposes only
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ===DISCLAIMER=== The Paranoid's Bible and its writers hold no responsibility for the acts of others. The Paranoid’s Bible is for research and entertainment purposes only. Please visit our blog for more PDFs and information: http://www.paranoidsbible.tumblr.com/ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ===Preface=== Consider this guide the introduction to a series of guides aimed at helping activists and protestors with security, keeping their privacy, using anonymity, and generally how to sway the public toward the goals that they wish society would work toward. The main purpose of this guide, however, is to act as a stepping stone for anyone who wishes to get into activism. The second purpose is to also encourage anyone participating in activism or protests to lessen their chances of being targeted by lowering their digital footprint and practicing day-to-day activism before taking on larger missions or goals. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ===Prevent Embarrassing Mishaps === With the West’s need to worship rebels, underdogs and revolutionaries (especially in the U.S.), there has always been an uptick of people protesting, proclaiming to be activists and taking up random causes because they believe it to be the right thing to do or just good for the nation. However, unlike the past, we have the internet now which means at any given moment someone can come along and use your embarrassing and edgy posts from your teenage years against you and outright wreck anything you want to do or any good you may have committed, ergo you’re up the creek without a paddle if you don’t take the proper precautionary steps before you begin your journey as an activist.  First and foremost, you’ll want to bookmark https://paranoidsbible.tumblr.com/library and https://pastebin.com/u/paranoidsbible to ensure you always have access to up-to-date guides and any newer ones we’ve posted. The reason for this is that, if you’re truly dedicated to being an activist for whatever, you’ll want to ensure you can always protect yourself from anything imaginable, like being doxed. You’ll want to read these below guides in the recommended order that we’re putting them in below: • The Paranoid's Bible 2.0 – anti-dox information + ways to further lessen your digital footprint. • OPSEC – Supplementary guide for the one mentioned above. • Meta Data and You – Prevent images and other items from leaking your information. • Host Files and You – The lazy way to edit your host file and block Ads and malicious content. • Peerblock and You – Block connections from accessing your network and computer. • Day-to-Day Invasions of Privacy – Learn ways your information can be leaked in a daily manner. • Uncle-Daddy’s Big Book of Deception – Simple ways to hinder people trying to find your info. • An Internet Primer – A simple way to strengthen your browser while being functional. • What to do if Doxed – Incase of being doxed. • The Internet Detox – Learn not to rely so heavily on the internet. The reason for the above is quite simple: By cleaning up your digital past and lessening your footprint, you prevent potential kerfuffles from happening in the future. Think of what would happen if someone who wanted to cause you and your mission harm by bringing up edgy, teenage angst filled posts or other adolescent stupidity. The second thing you’ll want to do is work toward isolating your personal and private life from your public life. You’ll want to ensure you can keep your own idiocy to yourself and away from the view of the public. So opt-out of having a smartphone and go for a dummy-phone on a pay-as-you-go contract. Basically you purchase (in cash) a phone that can only send and receive calls and texts. Nothing else, at all—you don’t need a camera or internet connection. The less functions a phone has, the less it can be used to track you or record you. Third, you’ll want to get yourself a roll of black tape, be it duct tape or electrical tape. Put a piece over the camera lenses and microphones of your tech and devices. The reason for this is, once you start becoming a common face in certain circles, people will begin to take notice. They’ll try to either gain some sort of dirt on you or work toward black mailing you, especially if you excel at your chosen mission and become an activist that is seen as being the face or voice of a certain movement. Take the precautions now so you don’t have to worry about them later. Fourth and finally, less smart appliances mean less worry. Governments and corporations don’t always agree with activists and will look into ways of silencing them, even it means through some thug hired specifically for wet work (E.G: assassination). It might be a good idea to look into the Paranoid’s Bible guides on home security and landline security just to be on the safe side of things. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ===Do Research First, React Later=== Before you even begin dipping your toes in the pool of activism, you need to start doing some digging. Doing things like brushing up on the laws of your area (city, state, country…etc) and what groups are currently active in said area are a good start. Another good start is to figure what the local government aligns with (party wise) and what individual entities exist in that local government. From there, you’ll have already excelled past most of these weekend warriors and +1 Facebook surfing Soccer Moms. You want to basically put yourself ahead of the game by studying it before participating. One of the biggest successes in activism is knowing the who, what and where. Getting the full story before you trust anyone or anything, because there are many people who make their living off of activism, be it self proclaimed victims or so-called charities. Everyone wants a slice of the sympathy pie, as it’s easier than ever to funnel money for yourself VIA a tear jerker of a story. Go Fund Me, Patreon, Kickstarter… there are services that are only growing larger and becoming the main source of income for a whole legion of scammers and con artists. As many of you will get upset, GamerGate did make a good call when they pushed forth with the mantra of “Trust but Verify”. Trust someone but verify their story and don’t take their anecdotal evidence as truth and law. So, yes, before doing any form of activism, dig in and do your research. Check all sources, not only those that align with your own personal beliefs or ideology but also those against them. The truth is always somewhere in the middle, not on the left or right of some political compass. Corporations, governments and entities yet to be properly labeled all have their hands in activism in order to steer the directions the citizens head toward. Don’t become another cow/bull for the slaughter, do your homework. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ===Don’t Become a Useful Idiot=== The term, Useful Idiot, is political jargon meant to portray that a useful idiot is a person that is perceived as a propagandist that’s ultimately an unwilling puppet used by a cause or movement’s leaders. These people aren’t fully aware of the end goal or what the whole things truly about. The problem with useful idiots is that they’re totally unaware and will continue to sing mantras and tote party lines without question because to them it’s the right thing to do and they’re one of the good guys. This is where the West’s hero worship of rebels, revolutionists and underdogs comes back to bite them, especially in the US. The current climate is polluted with good-guy analogies that range from popular pop culture icons and references to celebrities and internet attention seekers. People believe that someone’s public notoriety and/or large arbitrary numbers on social media somehow equate to knowledge, intelligence and overall understanding of the world. Do not fall for this trap as it’s currently being employed by not only the media but also corporations and the government. Continuous feed spam on social media talking about Dumbledore’s army or Katniss or some other popular pop icon has led people to participate in the annoying trend of virtue signaling where they try to seek society’s approval by showing how good they are by repeating the pre-approved sentiments and opinions of the group that they’re participating in and trying to use as a means to climb further up the social ladder. This is reality; you’re not in a fictional world of some black and white duality of good and evil. We’re all some form of gray, some lighter than others. Enjoy this sage advice as no one will wear a white hat or black face mask to designate who they are or what they support. With the rise of social media, virtue signaling has become a plague to the internet and the offline realm. Used by weekend warriors and meta-activists in order to appear as being good or an ally to a movement, the sentiments they spew forth are empty and superficial. Their support and any help they claim to be doing are usually done so to further their own goals and not that of the movement or cause. This is also usually employed by those looking to hawk some wares or service that they’re pushing for as some great deed or useful tool for the movement or cause and its participants. To prevent yourself from falling into this trap, you must first work toward being selfless and dealing with the fact that you’ll not always get a cookie or an award or a pat on the back. Activism is and always will be thankless work. Don’t strive for the Nobel Prize, strive for a better world. ___References:___ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtue_signalling https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Useful_idiot +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ===Start Small, Build Experience=== A lot of people bite off more than they can chew when it comes to activism. They think they can adopt some Black Bloc tactics and stage a demonstration without any interference from opponents and/or the police. The truth is, you can’t just go out there and do something without gaining some experience first and learning the ins and outs of life, how society works and how people react. This is why we’re constantly saying to do your research and come to your own conclusions and not to take everything at face value. So, in order to help you further your own goals as an activist and help the world in whatever ways you see fit we believe you need to start small and work your way up toward tackling bigger problems. The first thing you should do is analyze your own lifestyle and look at how you can improve your own health, financial situation, and cut back on your own waste, therefore to further help you along your quest we’ll include a series of day-to-day things you can do to help the world just a little bit. These won’t be in any real order as they’ll touch upon several missions and causes. • Lessen your own consumption of resources To do this, look into: - Installing aerators on your faucets . - Replacing light bulbs with new LEDs. - Starting a compost pile for all organic (no meat or processed foods) matter. - Unplugging devices not in use and shutting things off when you leave or go to sleep. - Sweeping and/or raking instead of using a blower or hose to clean your property. - Walk or ride a bicycle to stores and places within walking distance. - Recycle. • Vote with your wallet. To do this, look into: - Supporting local businesses and markets. - Blocking Ads and only unblocking them for companies you trust and believe in. - Purchasing video games and digital content from groups and people that you wish to support. - Using sales to your advantage in order to both save money and prove a point of pricing. - Donate to charities and causes you trust and believe in. - Buying the product of a competitor of a company you don’t like or trust. • Educate others. To do this, look into: - Advance yourself by perusing higher learning. - Taking up a degree and job in STEM fields. - Taking up a degree and job in teaching. - Donating and volunteering within local schools. - Provide reading materials and other educational material to schools and libraries. • Help your community. To do this, look into: - Picking up trash and waste when and where you can. - Report any and all crimes you see (to an extent, smaller infractions can be ignored). - Help your neighbors, especially those that are disabled and/or elderly. - Help start beautification efforts to improve both quality and aesthetic of your community. - Volunteer. - Start a “Take What You Need” garden composed of herbs, fruits and vegetables. • Take privacy and security seriously. To do this, look into: - https://paranoidsbible.tumblr.com/ - https://pastebin.com/u/paranoidsbible - https://stallman.org/ - https://prism-break.org/en/ - https://privacytoolsio.github.io/privacytools.io/ - https://www.eff.org/ - Educate others and pass on this information. ___References:___ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science,_technology,_engineering,_and_mathematics http://eartheasy.com/grow_compost.html +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ===Afterword=== This is just the bare necessities, hence it being an intro into activism. Think of this as a stepping stone into activism and what it will entail, like dedication, research, digging and questioning the narrative. As of now, take your time, digest what you’ve read and work on improving your own life and your community before tackling the world’s problems. When you feel you’re ready, checkout the second part of this series.

Why are analog signals still being used in communication?

This is a very often misunderstood concept. Here is the most important thing to understand: The communication SIGNAL is ANALOG, but the MODULATION is DIGITAL.
Why is the signal analog?
A) Our world is analog. Signals are electromagnetic waves which are inherently analog. This can’t be changed.
2. What is modulation and why do we need it?
A) Modulation is embedding a message signal onto a CARRIER signal.
B) In the early days, the ‘message’ was voice. If everyone is trying to transmit their signal, we couldn’t hear it due to interference with every other message…. like being in a crowded room with everyone talking at once and trying to listen to a conversation across the room.
C) The ‘message’ is placed onto a CARRIER signal. The carrier is a signal (sinusoid) at a given frequency (channel) and the information is MODULATED onto the carrier. This keeps everyone’s signal from interfering if each conversation is on a separate channel.
3. What is analog vs. digital modulation?
A) Analog modulation was used first because it was easy. We had an analog signal and on the other end we wanted an analog signal. The most simplistic approach was to use AMPLITUDE MODULATION (AM). The voice message was used to change the amplitude of the carrier signal.
B) Digital modulation uses BINARY format to change the PHASE or FREQUENCY of the carrier in discrete steps (1 or 0 as in the binary number representation). That is, the frequency of the carrier will be changed by +/- some small frequency offset based on the binary message. In reality the phase is modulated but frequency may be easier to visualize and is very close.
4. Why is everything going to digital modulation over analog modulation?
A) Digital modulation is more robust. If the signal is AM modulated, then any interference or noise is added directly to the signal… so it sounds like it has ‘static’ in it.
B) Then systems went to FM instead of AM. FM = Frequency Modulation. This is still an analog modulation, but interference is far less likely to create frequency errors than amplitude errors. The FM signal can still sound like there is ‘static’ but not nearly as likely. That’s why FM sounds better than AM.
C) Digital modulation only has to be accurate enough to decode the message into a 1 or 0. High or low. So, the digital modulation is extremely robust to noise and interference… but when it breaks, it is a brick wall. It sounds great until it breaks. This can be seen if you have watched an HDTV broadcast over the air. It looks awesome until the signal degrades (storm, bad antenna, etc.) and then you see large ‘pixelation’ and it flashes in and out completely as you begin to see the pixelation.
