US prescription drug system makes no fucking sense. I need to ask a pharmacist a question about one of my medications; I know a licensed pharmacist who is employed as a pharmacist and in fact is the person who specifically dispenses all my medications, and has done so for at least ten years; he could almost certainly answer this question, either off the top of his head or with 5-10 minutes' research; I can't ask him because he is kept busy all day doing clerical work and running the cash register and shit because every pharmacy in the US is criminally-understaffed and he will lose his job if he routinely takes the time to advise patients on pharmaceutical interactions, the thing he spent years training to do.
