Hàng không phục hồi, khách sạn mở cửa và ngân hàng có người đến vay là những dấu hiệu cho thấy nền kinh tế bắt đầu hoạt động lại.

Rất nhiều dữ liệu cho thấy nước Mỹ vẫn sa lầy trong cuộc suy thoái nghiêm trọng đã kéo dài 2 tháng nay, với kinh doanh tổng thể giảm, sa thải tăng, dù có chậm hơn so với những tuần đầu của khủng hoảng Covid-19. Các dự báo hiện cho rằng, GDP sẽ giảm 6-7% trong năm nay và tỷ lệ thất nghiệp ở mức hai chữ số còn duy trì một thời gian.

Tuy nhiên, đã có những tín hiệu cho thấy nền kinh tế không còn tệ hơn mà thậm chí có thể được cải thiện.

"Nếu đây là làn sóng duy nhất của đại dịch, có vẻ như chúng ta đã chạm đáy và quá trình bình thường hóa đã bắt đầu", ông Beth Ann Bovino, Nhà kinh tế trưởng về thị trưởng Mỹ tại S&P Global Ratings, nhận xét.

Mất việc thường tồn tại trong nhiều tháng sau khi phục hồi bắt đầu. Cuộc suy thoái 2007-2009 kết thúc vào tháng 6/2009. Nhưng tỷ lệ thất nghiệp đã không đạt đỉnh cao cho đến nhiều tháng sau đó, ở mức 10% vào tháng 10/2009 và duy trì ở mức trên 9% trong gần hai năm nữa.

अमेरिका-चीन ट्रेड वॉर का साइड इफेक्ट केवल कच्चे तेल या ब्रेंट क्रूड पर ही नहीं बल्कि सोने पर भी दिखाई दे रहा है। 1 महीने में सोने की कीमतों में भारी उछाल देखने को मिला है। केवल इस महीने सोने का भाव 3 फीसदी चढ़ा है जबकि पिछले 3 महीने में इसमें करीब 6 फीसदी की तेजी आई है। दरअसल, ट्रेड वॉर की आशंका से कीमतों को सपोर्ट मिल रहा है। इधर डॉलर में गिरावट से विदेशी बाजार में तेजी आई है।

भाव बढ़ने से सोने की मांग में कमी आई है। सोने पर डिस्काउंट 6 महीने में सबसे ज्यादा है।
