oh god stupid thought: diluc willingly disowning kaeya that day bc he knew he was going to go after the past that caught up with Crepus and if anything happens to him, he doesn't want Kaeya to follow too or get involved. (The cryo vision being the thing that 'saved' kaeya in the end in their fight? felt like a sign)

Turns out, it went better than hoped bc he's alive but mondstadt had changed so much since he's been gone and he still doesn't know if he'll also end up like his father again so he doesn't even try to amend things (smthng smthng bc he doesn't feel he deserves it either). Kaeya never learns what Diluc learned about Crepus, just that he went on a rampage in snezhnaya.

Picture this, if you will

One day, at Carnivale Lecroux, Frost is on a ladder or something, trying to hang up decorations. Gricko is helping hold the ladder, but then Hootsie runs off or something, and Gricko runs off after her, accidentally kicking the ladder in his wake.

So the ladder is unstable, and just as Frost is about to fall, Torbek (who is always lurking, and is just never noticed) happens to catch him. They stare at each other in pure astonishment for a moment, before Frost says “…hello…”

Gricko, hearing the ladder fall, immediately turns around and goes “Frosty! Are you okay!?”, running up to Frost (who Torbek is setting down now, not saying a word). Frost assures Gricko that he’s fine, and he goes to turn around to thank this mysterious bugbear who saved him, but Torbek is nowhere to be seen (back in the shadows, as always).

A week later, when Frost pulls out decorations to hang up, Torbek emerges from the shadows, immediately offering to hang them instead. Frost is like “it’s you! I didn’t get the chance to thank you for saving me last time.”, and Torbek more or less waves him off. “It’s fine,” he says, “Torbek is used to it.”

Frost asks for his name, and Torbek gives it. Frost accepts his offer to help with decorating, and they become friendly with each other. I wouldn’t necessarily say friends, no, but on the rare occasion they cross paths, Frost gives him a friendly smile, maybe chat a bit if they have time, and hey! At least he actually remembers Torbek’s name!

mgs itself is guilty of this but i feel like people gloss over the realistic repercussions of sunny’s abuse wayyyyy too much…she was separated from her mother, drugged, groomed, and isolated SINCE BIRTH, and it’s likely raiden didn’t rescue her until she was at least two years old; she’s been with snake and otacon for most of her life at this point but, despite being a technical genius, still struggles with functioning properly. her motorics are disturbed. she can’t read social cues. virtually the only times she doesn’t stutter are when she’s reciting patterns of numbers she was conditioned into memorizing. it’s genuinely horrific and i absolutely hate how mgs4 (and a good chunk of the fandom) boil this behavior down to being a result of her acclimating to a new environment, or needing a maternal figure, or just being shy. otasune don’t struggle with her because they’re first-time parents; it’s because they literally do not have the skillsets necessary to properly accommodate a kid that’s gone through what sunny has—despite them almost certainly having been abused children themselves. i really do lament the fact that the long-term effects of this treatment aren’t ever really considered; i don’t think, realistically, that naomi’s influence should have been nearly enough to help her fix those issues

kinda crazy how many years ago i was such a huge dragon age fan and would call dao my favourite rpg … i genuinely believe that my feelings for dai and datv ruined my overall opinion so much that it damaged my relationship with the strongest and most competent title

Those latest Beast!Ganon concepts are really, REALLY Cool! One of my favorite aspects is that they diverge a bit more from the usual "big boar monster" design tropes that we see in canon and incorporate other elements. The wide, flat tail that almost looks amphibic or aquatic is a personal fave, together with the feet being rather wide, and the whole profile being long and low (relatively^^) to the ground makes almost look like some aquatic monster or dragon that rises out of some cursed swamp or something.

Great vibes all around, kudos!

Thank you! admittedly, other than taking calamity ganons .. or just its cloud like form really, as inspiration (somewhat beast ganon from twilight princess too, which is my favorite of his canon forms), i think alot of its design is really just ... a "me" thing, i love auqatic animals and the shapes are typical for my monster designs xD (i did want it to be both familiar and different though)

while i cant possibly make an entire attack pattern for him my idea does involve motions like 'swimming' through the ground (turning the ground into malice and swimming through it? straight up burrowing but hes so strong solid stone and earth is like water to him? move this phase to a sandy area so its also a mimic of moldoras? (closest to the forgotten plateau, which is where the end fight is, would be the taobab grassland, which isnt fully sand but more similar, might do soemthign else with that place though, maybe a big horse research site))

(i also dont want all his magical moves, both in beast form and all his other ones, to depend on malice, malice is what fuels his life now, the rage and unbreakable spirit to live, to resist, to not succumb to the schemes of the queen of hyrule of his time, to not fall against this one last descendant of her, he is much more than just hatred but it is what keeps him alive even when he should not be- so as he is skilled in wielding magic, perhaps skills that have since gotten rare (like your friends being the few ones to learn some) he will AT LEAST make use of lightning, if not perhaps even more, perhaps even mirroring what your friends can do directly, just like he will mimic links shiekah tech arm once he 'reforms' his missing arm via malice/taking it from the beast form- ......... and here i go rambling about stuff that will go into the big post ...)
