Kyubey and Chronos. The first time I read through Fractured Futures, this "little" dragon screamed Kyubey so loud I could not ignore it. A cute little creature, granting wishes for vulnerable teenagers, while only doing it for their own gain? Yeah, it sounds just like both of them.

These two would either be the greatest of friends or the worst of enemies. But it might be more likely the latter because of how much power Kyubey has for granting wishes and the fact that Homura Akemi exists. Speaking of Homura, Euden was really having a Homura moment there in that story haha.

Another Force - When entered, Another Force will cause the enemy to stop moving, cause character skills to cost 0 MP and allow for skills to be activated in quick succession in real time. This allows the player to deal great damage, or to stack multiple defensive or offensive buffs in a single turn. The higher the charge on the bar, the more time the player will have to use skills. When Another Force is activated. The speed up battle animations function does not affect Another Force. Full bar is taken to be 100% and half bar at 50%. The gauge depletes at 10% per second, meaning a half-bar AF depletes in 5 seconds if no skills are used. Uh, Euden? You alright?

Did you know that Gala Euden in particular seemed to have a boss entry animation tucked away in his code? You know, the little threat displays bosses did when the name of the fight was flashing across the screen like, "Volk's Wrath - Master Difficulty" and the like?

Yup. Here it is!

(I added the sword just because he looks like he's using one but the base animation, of course, doesn't use a weapon)

So yeah. He's quite obviously floating, judging by the classic 'legs half-bent, slight up-and-down shifts', so first there's that question on the hows and whys is Euden flying casually, much less directly at the viewpoint camera on the attack.

Also, it's kinda weird how his model starts facing one way but the rest of the animation is facing another. I'm not animator or game designer of any sort, but maybe they would've implemented a camera shift or something to make it look like he's facing the player like they did the other bosses?

Aside from that, the big question is, of course, 'why does Euden have a boss entry animation?' Of course, there's quite a few scenarios they might've been intending on using it. I dunno when it was added, but anywhere from ch.14's Morsayati near-possession of him to the AU worlds' Eudens, like Zena's...

Heck, for all I know they really were going to make a Euden fight for ch.25, but didn't have the time or resources to finish it and then had to go, 'uh, Euden, okay, he made Chronos...have the players fight Euden-as-Chronos. There. Makes sense' to make sure it was ready in time. If so, darn, I would've liked to see it as another rare humanoid fight in Dragalia after the likes of Ranzal in ch.1 (though he is not a strenuous boss by any degree- you can interrupt his animations) and Nedrick's fight (I MAY REALIZE IT OVER TIME, TELL ME WHYYYYY, NOW I WANT TO KNOW, I UNRAVEL MYSELF FOR ALL- blares in the background).

Imagine if he could just do that casually all along, though, the floaty thingie, that is. I mean, Phares already seems to be floating sometimes and tends to pop in from nowhere like ch.7? Granted,he's a wind unit so maybe there's some funky mana shenanigans he's doing to achieve the effect, but maybe it's just all that raw evil-deity power that lets people float. (also not long ago I just noticed that in this picture it looks like Euden might be crying? Not important nor relevant but. Oof. Suppose it might be fair given he's now been/being attacked by three of his siblings all at once, but oof).

Anyways, that's really all I had to say.

But yeah, we had a potential boss fight vs Euden somewhere in the works or drafts or whatever!

So Dragalia Lost is just over a day away from its EOS, and a part of me wants to get this off of my chest before then. Dragalia Lost was such a unique experience, in so many years of gaming nothing has ever gotten me hooked this much. Yet this game had, and I’m glad it did.

It was so unique, the gameplay was so much fun, nothing ever came close to the first time you unlocked shapeshifting. And the story just grabbed me and never let go. And the events were spectacular, fighting against giant enemies with so many people was so amazing!

The characters were all so unique and lovable, from the found family of the Accursed Archives, the brother sister pair with a Wish to the Winds, the emissaries from Hinamoto. The main cast especially was great, they all bounced off of one another so well and had great dynamics.

We got that 1st anniversary celebration and the fight against Chronos. I got destroyed by Nyx but the sheer spectacle and that desire to win was incomparable. And every anniversary after was spectacular, Forgotten truths Faith forsaken Dawn of Dragalia were such exciting times.

Then we got our first crossover with FEH and it was such an exciting time for the community. Who knows what else we could crossover with in the future, who’s gonna be playable, it was so much fun.

And the Trials, I never started HDT until the Agito were released and they were made easier but I wish I did sooner. Those fights were just awesome, fighting against your dragon allies to grow stronger and even unlocking them as playable dragons was cool. The Agito, easily the best fights in the game. It was an uphill fight but fighting against them, learning their patterns and finally winning was a blast. Then Expert and especially Master cranked it up and conquering that was the most fun I’ve had with the game at the time.

There’s just, so much about this game that I love and love that it did. And I’m glad I got to experience every last moment until the end, and I’m gonna miss it, I’m gonna miss it so much.

So I just wanna say, Dragalia Lost, and those who were a part of this games creation and development, thank you for those moments, and though goodbyes are bittersweet, I hope we can see the world of Alberia again, someday.
