Anon, while I get where you’re coming from, that’s not the point right now. I think there’s a worrying number of people that are willing to defend a driver’s any action, regardless of the danger of it. If it had been the other way around and Carlos had gone up and pushed Checo’s helmet I’m sure there’d be people who wouldn’t hesitate to defend his “right” to do so, too.

The point is that these sort of things should not go unpunished from the FIA’s point of view. When George did much the same thing a few years ago the FIA let that go without comment, too - when really I think there should be a penalty point system in place for things like this.

George has since publicly apologised, but he deserved to be called out on it then just as Checo does now.

There are already guidelines for penalties for “unsportsmanlike behaviour.” I would argue that in the future the fia needs to consider this to apply to things that happen on track that isn’t necessarily in cars - things like these two incidents these past two years. I’m not suggesting that they now retrospectively penalize George or Checo, but it’s food for thought for future incidents.

I hope the cats actually use the fucking thing now. It was a bitch to take apart and a bitch to put back together and next time fuck it I'm just buying new

#crap #unexpected cat adventures #cost breakdown: cat tree $30 used carpet $20 sisal rope 2 roles $13 drill bits for the stupid square screws $2 #i already had a staple gun and a power drill #so idk $70 total versus like $150 new sure the new is more but also you factor in the time i spent ehhh #actually wait add $12 i forgot the nubby carpet #so round up to $85 to redo this thing and also if id had to buy the staple gun and screw driver #those things included easily makes it the same price as just gett iji ng a new one lol #then again most cat trees are just that ugly boring beige and not fun black and white patterns
