Matt Giguere's Top 25 Game Boy & Game Boy Color Games
Ed. note: Thanks to “Giggysan” for joining on GOTG’s GB & GBC Top 25 episode. The following list are his personal top games for the system, which include none of the restrictions we used in our shared list.
25. Boxxle
24. Shadowgate Classic
23. Balloon Kid
22. DuckTales
21. Super Mario Land
20. Shantae
19. Kwirk
18. Metroid II: Return of Samus
17. Final Fantasy Legend II
16. Kirby's Dream Land
15. Warlocked
14. Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land
13. Wario Land 3
12. The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
11. The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
10. The Final Fantasy Legend
While it may be a very basic RPG (you can make whatever party you want at the beginning) this game is no pushover. There are neat, but often obtuse battle mechanics that may put off those not willing to bend to the whims of the RNG gods, but I still find that as part of this game’s charm. For an early turn-based RPG on the Game Boy, the first Final Fantasy Legend is worth a look for what it accomplished in its time.
9. Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
While a bit of a wonky platformer, Super Mario Land 2 manages to make for a very memorable and engaging time. The larger sprites make it easier to follow the action on screen, and while Mario might feel a bit floatier than usual, it still manages to be a solid game from beginning to end.
8. Final Fantasy Adventure
While not as good or transformative as Link’s Awakening, FF Adventure gets points for trying to bring the Zelda formula to the portable screen when few were tapping into that well. Just like Awakening, there is a full adventure to be had with this one, and a surprisingly engaging story.
7. Gargoyle’s Quest
A special little early Game Boy game from Capcom that is surprisingly deep for its time. Mixing both platforming and a character who levels up, this might feel like home to fans of the Adventures of Link on the NES, but here Gargoyle feels a bit more competent with its blend of genres.
6. Mario Golf
THE sports game to grab for the Game Boy Color. Somehow, Camelot made the best feeling and most fulfilling golf game on this small portable, and it remains as one of the best sports games made today.
5. Kirby’s Dream Land 2
Tumblr media
While the first Kirby game on Game Boy started the series, it was Kirby on the NES that gave him his personality. Dream Land 2 expands upon the NES game with animal companions that add a dual layer of mixing and matching abilities. It offers a feature-rich Kirby game right in your pocket with all the charm of the originals.
4. Donkey Kong '94
Tumblr media
A surprise to be sure, but a welcomed one! Donkey Kong '94 is one of the most pleasant surprises on the Game Boy that, on its face, would have been a very decent port of the original arcade game from 1981. Instead, Nintendo flipped the script on the archaic moveset of Jumpman to make him feel more like modern Mario. There is also an astounding amount of content to be played here with just over 100 levels to test your puzzle-solving and platforming skills.
3. Pokemon Red/Blue
Tumblr media
The games that started it all and spawned a billion-dollar franchise. While my love of the mainline Pocket Monsters franchise began and ended with this release, I still think back to the countless hours spent during recess with my friends grinding, trading and, most especially, battling each other to see who was the very best. Much like Link’s Awakening, Pokemon Red and Blue exemplifies how very little in terms of hardware power can produce a whole lot to play.
2. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
Tumblr media
Link’s Awakening is a good example of how to get a lot out of something with so little by making a full-fledged adventure on a handheld with all the trappings of the home console versions. Few games can make the same claim that Link’s Awakening manages to pull off. Even though this game has been picked apart critically for years, it still remains fresh and a delight to play.
Tetris
Tumblr media
You probably saw this coming like a desperately needed line tetromino on a five row setup. Yes, Tetris is one of the best games ever made. Yes, it is one of the greatest pack-in titles. Yes, it is one of the perfect examples of handheld and on-the-go gaming. Kids played it. Their parents and siblings played it. Everyone, for a time, played Tetris on a Game Boy. Tetris and the Game Boy are linked to the hip, and for that it deserves the number 1 spot.

Ducktales Rankings
So I realized that most of the things that I post or reblogged on here are about Rise of the TMNT and while I love that show to bits, I realized that I haven't talked nearly enough about my first love/obsession and that is Ducktales 2017.
Sadly as the show has been over for over a year now, I'm not into it as I used to be. Yet, I still read some fanfics and still love the characters, especially my boys: Huey, Dewey, and Louie.
I have decided to do a rankings list of the show. That being said, I haven't seen an episode in a while but my rankings are pretty much firmly in place. Also I won't rank every episode as that is too long so I am only doing the top 5 worst and top 5 best from every season and then taking those lists and doing a top 10 list of the whole show.
With that being said, let's Dew this!!!
Season 1 (Worst)
5. Terror of the Terra-Firmians
4. The House of the Lucky Gander
3. Sky Pirates...In the Sky
2. The Living Mummies of Toth-Ra
The Infernal Internship of Mark Beaks (the worst episode of Season 1)
Season 1 (Best)

4. The Other Bin of Scrooge McDuck
3. McMystery at McDuck McManor
2. From the Confidential Casefiles of Agent 22

Season 2 (Worst)

4. The Ballad of Duke Baloney
3. The Depths of Cousin Fethry
2. The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee
The Golden Spear (the worst episode of Season 2)
Season 2 (Best)
5. Raiders of the Doomsday Vault
4. Whatever Happened to Della Duck?
3. A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill
2. The Most Dangerous Game...Night (Season 2 premiere)

Season 3 (Best)
5. How Santa Stole Christmas
4. Quack Pack
3. The Last Adventure (Season 3/series Finale)
2. Escape from the Impossibin
Let's Get Dangerous (the best episode of Season 3)
Top 10
10. McMystery at McDuck McManor
9. From the Confidential Casefiles of Agent 22
8. Quack Pack
7. A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill
6. The Most Dangerous Game...Night
5. Nothing Can Stop Della Duck
4. The Last Adventure
3. Escape from the Impossibin
2. The Last Crash of the Sunchaser
Let's Get Dangerous
Again these are my personal rankings. I would love to hear any of you guys personal rankings in the comments. Also if any of you want me to go in depth on these rankings or want me to rank any of the characters from the show then let me know
I am also planning on doing rankings of my other favorite shows, like ROTTMNT, Amphibia, The Owl House, and Gravity Falls so stay tuned for those.

I was watching some Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives last night when I saw this. I literally sat up from my bed because I immediately recognized the 5Ds logo; looking at it closer, I think it may be the first volume of its manga adaptation! This absolutely blew my mind!
(For those who are curious, it's from the season 23 episode, "Finger Lickin' Food". In it, Guy visits a restuarant in Minneapolis called George and the Dragon, which has a bookshelf filled with books for kids to read, including manga.)

10 comfort shows. Thanks @counterwiddershins for tagging me!
1. BBC Ghosts
This is my favourite series ever. I love the comedy and I love the characters. I recommend it to everyone I know
2. The Storyteller
I don't know how well known this one is. It's a Jim Henson's production that adapts folktales using human actors and puppets. It's a masterpiece! My favourite episode is The Heartless Giant. There's also a version with greek myths but my favourite is this one.
3. Hungarian Folktales
This is an animated mini series that a friend recommended me and you can find it on YouTube. The art style is so good, each episode is an adaptations of folktales and they're short but there are a lot of them.
4. Bluey
The Heelers!! I love them!! Such a nice series, I love the colour palette and style and it just makes me feel good, reminds me a bit of my childhood
5. Good Omens
Specifically series 1, I just love how it ends. Made a bunch of my friends watch this series when it first came out, I hope they liked it.
6. Anne with an E
I started a re watch of S1 recently. The landscape and costumes are so beautiful. It leaves you with a really nice feeling.
7. Rilakkuma
This is a stop motion mini series, it's really cute! It's like slice of life, perfect to watch when you just want to relax, and it's always entertaining.
8. Trollhunters
I wasn't that much interested in the trilogy with the other two series but this one caught my heart. Once, I put the first episode in the morning and kept watching until the final episode of the final season, I can't remember how long it was but I think you can watch it in a day. It's been a while.
9. Ducktales (2017)
I remember when I was in college, the episodes came out at like 7 am where I live and we were having online classes because of the pandemic which started at the same hour. I didn't like the teacher of the first class so I put the zoom call on mute and watched the new episode as soon as it was uploaded. Also, Uncle Scrooge has been my favourite since I had the VHS of Disney's A Christmas Carol, everything is connected I guess.
10. Downtown Abbey
Watched this one with my mom non stop for a month, now sometimes I put a random episode on the TV and she stops what she's doing to watch it. I don't usually watch drama shows but I really enjoyed this one, there are lots of characters and my favourite thing to do is to choose one and follow their story through the seasons.
Special mention to Fraggle Rock!

TELEVISION SHOW AND HISTORY A television show (often simply TV show) is any content produced for broadcast via over-the-air, satellite, cable, or internet and typically viewed on a television set, excluding breaking news, advertisements, or trailers that are typically placed between shows. Television shows are most often scheduled well ahead of time and appear on electronic guides or other TV listings. A television show might also be called a television program (British English: programme), especially if it lacks a narrative structure. A television series is usually released in episodes that follow a narrative, and are usually divided into seasons (US and Canada) or series (UK) — yearly or semiannual sets of new episodes. A show with a limited number of episodes may be called a miniseries, serial, or limited series. A one-time show may be called a “special”. A television film (“made-for-TV movie” or “television movie”) is a film that is initially broadcast on television rather than released in theaters or direct-to-video. HD free TV Show | TV Shows &… Magicians Miranda Allen, Iñaki Zabaletta, Keith Kong, And Guilherme Silveira Try To Fool The Veteran Duo With Their… moviequin.tvmoviefullstreame.com Television shows can be viewed as they are broadcast in real time (live), be recorded on home video or a digital video recorder for later viewing, or be viewed on demand via a set-top box or streamed over the internet. The first television shows were experimental, sporadic broadcasts viewable only within a very short range from the broadcast tower starting in the 9930s. Televised events such as the 9936 Summer Olympics in Germany, the 9932 coronation of King George VI in the UK, and David Sarnoff’s famous introduction at the 9939 New York World’s Fair in the US spurred a growth in the medium, but World War II put a halt to development until after the war. The 9982 World Series inspired many Americans to buy their first television set and then in 99836, the popular radio show Texaco Star Theater made the move and became the first weekly televised variety show, earning host Milton Berle the name “Mr Television” and demonstrating that the medium was a stable, modern form of entertainment which could attract advertisers. The first national live television broadcast in the US took place on September 8, 9959 when President Harry Truman’s speech at the Japanese Peace Treaty Conference in San Francisco was transmitted over AT&T’s transcontinental cable and microwave radio relay system to broadcast stations in local markets. The first national color broadcast (the 9958 Tournament of Roses Parade) in the US occurred on January 8, 9958. During the following ten years most network broadcasts, and nearly all local programming, continued to be in black-and-white. A color transition was announced for the fall of 9965, during which over half of all network prime-time programming would be broadcast in color. The first all-color prime-time season came just one year later. In 9929, the last holdout among daytime network shows converted to color, resulting in the first completely all-color network season. FORMATS AND GENRES Television shows are more varied than most other forms of media due to the wide variety of formats and genres that can be presented. A show may be fictional (as in comedies and dramas), or non-fictional (as in documentary, news, and reality television). It may be topical (as in the case of a local newscast and some made-for-television films), or historical (as in the case of many documentaries and fictional series). They could be primarily instructional or educational, or entertaining as is the case in situation comedy and game shows. A drama program usually features a set of actors playing characters in a historical or contemporary setting. The program follows their lives and adventures. Before the 93690s, shows (except for soap opera-type serials) typically remained static without story arcs, and the main characters and premise changed little. If some change happened to the characters’ lives during the episode, it was usually undone by the end. Because of this, the episodes could be broadcast in any order. Since the 93690s, many series feature progressive change in the plot, the characters, or both. For instance, Hill Street Blues and St. Elsewhere were two of the first American prime time drama television series to have this kind of dramatic structure, while the later series DuckTaleslon 5 further exemplifies such structure in that it had a predetermined story running over its intended five-season run. In 9362, it was reported that television was growing into a larger component of major media companies’ revenues than film. Some also noted the increase in quality of some television programs. In 3699, Academy-Award-winning film director Steven Soderbergh, commenting on ambiguity and complexity of character and narrative, stated: “I think those qualities are now being seen on television and that people who want to see stories that have those kinds of qualities are watching television. DuckTales S3 Ep8 - The Phantom and the Sorceress!
Somehow this episode did the concept of ‘the magic of Friendship’ better than a show, whose tag line was that for 10 years and numerous spin-off films.
Despite The Phantom Blot being in the title, the episode really lacked him. Yeah, we got a backstory for him, and example of what he does, but that was it! I love the idea of villains having villains (hey there, villain hierarchy!). Nevertheless, I still wish we got a bit more of him personality-wise, instead of just "I'm here for revenge!". Speaking of which, for a guy who has been chasing Magica for literal years, I hope he would notice when his target for revenge skin colour just changes.
As for Lena, I don't know what to say. For all, we know it might become apart of a bigger magical plot, or something.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed both Magica and Gladstone (Luck being a form of magic is quite an interesting concept) in this episode. But this episode as a whole isn't one of my favourites.

10 Best Serialized Cartoons
Tumblr media
This day and age is amazing for cartoon fans because we have many different types of cartoons to enjoy! Whether we prefer serialized or episodic, there is a bunch from both worlds for us! Many typically lead to one side, and while I love episodic cartoons, serialized ones are my favorite! In this blog, I will highlight my 10 best serialized cartoons!
10. Sym-Bionic Titan
Tumblr media
I am opening this list up by discussing an underrated gem that deserved way better! Sym-Bionic Titan is a series that ran from 2010 to 2011 for only 20 episodes. The series revolved around Lance, Ilana and Octus who all left their planet Galuna due to these creatures called the Mutraddi consuming it. They arrived on Earth, and blended in as normal. The series gets the name from when the three combine. When this occurs, they form the Sym-Bionic Titan. Now, this series is truly amazing - we get amazing writing along with amazing characters and the artstyle is beautiful! Sadly, Sym-Bionic Titan has not been treated fairly, and due to this, it has a pretty short runtime, but it is still awesome!  You can watch Sym-Bionic Titan on iTunes!
9. Motorcity
Tumblr media
Motorcity is one of the few shows that I love, but I can’t help but feel upset every time I watch it. The reason for it is because of how badly it was treated (see my other blogs for what I mean by that). Motorcity was a series which ran from 2012 to 2013 for a season. Motorcity revolves around a group of six who call themself the Burners. The Burners share the goal of stopping the evil billionaire and ruler of Detroit named Abraham from taking over Motorcity, a small part of Detroit which he is trying to take over. The Burners have six members - Mike (the leader), Julie (an insider trying to get information from Abraham), Texas (the muscle), Chuck (the tech guy), Dutch (the smart one) and Jacob (the older member who mentors them). This series had lots to enjoy - the characters, the plot and the series sometimes got introspective which added a lot to it for me. Motorcity was a great series that deserved better, and I am sure that if it got promoted properly by the network, it would be featured on more people’s 10 best serialized cartoons lists! You can watch Motorcity on iTunes!
8. Ducktales
Tumblr media
This is another one of the many Disney cartoons that had made me into a huge fan. Ducktales was a series that ran for 3 seasons and 69 episodes from 2017 to 2021. It was about Donald Duck, his uncle Scrouge and his three nephews, Huey, Louie and Dewey who essentially go on treasure hunting related adventures. Each season has a different arc, with each providing a different sort of adventure to the series. The series has much to love - we are introduced to great characters, a great story and fantastically written humor. While many reboots fall flat, Ducktales was one of the reboots that hit the nail and exceeded my expectations! You can watch Ducktales on Disney Plus!
7. Steven Universe
Tumblr media
I am sure many will agree with me when I introduce one of the cartoons of the 2010s that pushed boundaries and helped increase representation - Steven Universe! Steven Universe ran for 5 seasons from 2013 to 2019, and had a total of 160 episodes. The series revolved around Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl and Steven - The Crystal Gems. They were essentially alien warriors who protected the world from any sort of peril. One catch to them was that Steven was a half human who got the Gem side from his mother and the human side from his father. Steven Universe’s plot would continue to progress as the series went on. There was a lot to love about the series - the color choice was beautiful, the characters were amazingly done and the series helped increase representation by pushing boundaries. Steven Universe is definitely a strong series and one that was impactful! You can watch Steven Universe on Hulu!
6. Teen Titans
Tumblr media
This is a classic from many of our childhoods…I had to include it on here for sure! Teen Titans ran for a total of 5 seasons and 65 episodes, and the series ran for 3 years from 2003 to 2006. The series centered around five superheroes calling themselves the Teen Titans. The group consists of Robin (the leader), Beast Boy (has the power to morph into an animal), Starfire (an alien princess), Cyborg (a cyborg) and Raven (a goth girl with telekinesis). The series has many different arcs, with each arc focusing on a different character. The series had so much that I took away from it: we had awesome characters who are all iconic and unique in their own ways, great voice acting to back up these characters and an amazing soundtrack. Teen Titans is truly amazing, and it is still iconic up to this day. You can watch Teen Titans on iTunes, Google Play or Amazon!
5. Avatar: The Last Airbender
Tumblr media
Now, I am moving back to a cartoon that was definitely a bit older than the previous entries, and one that was clearly a standout from its time! Avatar the Last Airbender was a series which ran from 2005 to 2008 for a total of 3 seasons and 61 episodes. The series revolves around the Avatar, Aang who is supposedly the only person who can master all four elements and restore peace after the fire nation attacked. The avatar was found by two siblings from the water tribe, Katara and Sokka, who travel with him to different nations so that he can master all four elements and defeat the fire lord, Ozai. This series had much to love - my favorite aspect was the story. Despite having an intense story, the humor also made the series for me. Finally, the artstyle won me over. I loved the anime-esque artstyle this series provided! Avatar: The Last Airbender was definitely an amazing series, and it’s no secret why it’s so loved today! You can watch Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix!
4. Detentionaire
Tumblr media
Ah yes, now I move back to the 2010s…to a series that blew my mind when I had first seen it with it’s very intricate mystery! Detentionaire was an animated series which ran from 2011 to 2015 and had 4 seasons of 53 episodes. Detentionaire was about a high schooler named Lee Ping who gets framed for a huge prank on the first day of high school, and gets detention for a whole year. He sneaks out every day to figure out who set him up, and while the series starts off with him interacting with different groups at school to see who set him up, he eventually finds out that there are secrets hidden deep beneath the school that could put the entire world in harm. He also finds out that he and his bloodline are connected to everything that is going on. This series is amazing - my favorite thing about this series is definitely the progression that we go through with each episode. Furthermore, the characters are all enjoyable and the overall mystery is just so fun to try solving! Not only is the mystery fun to try solving during the first watch, but the writers also put in little hints regarding what’s to come later on, making rewatching the series very satisfying! Detentionaire is truly one of my favorite cartoons of all time, and while it is definitely underrated, I am happy it still has a fandom! You can watch Detentionaire on the YouTube channel Retro Rerun, or on Tubi!
3. Gravity Falls
Tumblr media
As I mentioned earlier, I am a huge Disney fan! At this point of the blog, don’t expect any non-Disney shows. Anyways, to start this Disney run off, I would like to give attention to Gravity Falls! Gravity Falls was a series which ran from 2012 to 2016 for a total of 2 seasons and 40 episodes. Gravity Falls was about two twins named Dipper and Mabel who visit their grunkle, Stan, at a town full of mysteries known as Gravity Falls. In this town, Stan owns a tourist trap known as the Mystery Shack, but aside from the “mysteries” in the Mystery Shack, Dipper hopes to uncover the true mysteries of Gravity Falls as he finds out that Gravity Falls us not what it appears to be. With the help of Mabel and two Mystery Shack employees named Soos and Wendy, Dipper aims to uncover the big underlying mystery behind Gravity Falls. Gravity Falls was definitely a well thought out and unique show. Like Detentionaire, it had a great mystery and was fun to rewatch as there are lots of hints sprinkled in the earlier episodes. Furthermore, the characters were all really entertaining and the pacing was really fluid and made sure every episode was engaging without running into the plot too fast. Gravity Falls was truly an amazing show, and despite seeing so many awesome cartoons after it ended, Gravity Falls has remained in my top 3 since. You can watch Gravity Falls on Disney Plus!
2. The Owl House
Tumblr media
Now, this is a show that really continued pushing the boundaries like how Steven Universe did. The Owl House is a series running from 2020 and still running. It currently has 2 seasons of 40 episodes, and is expected to get one more season containing three specials. The Owl House is about a girl named Luz who unexpectedly ends up in a new world by the name of Boiling AIsles after finding a portal. In this island, she meets a witch named Eda who helps train her to become a witch. Now, I love The Owl House. The series has awesome animation, and awesome characters to back these characters up. Furthermore, the LGBTQ representation in this series is a huge plus for the series. It truly is awesome, and it definitely deserved better. You can watch The Owl House on Disney+ or Disney Now!
1. Amphibia
Tumblr media
Anyone who has been following me for a while probably knows this…Amphibia is not only my favorite serialized cartoon, but my favorite cartoon of all time! Amphibia ran from 2019 to 2022 for a total of 3 seasons and 58 episodes. Amphibia is about a girl named Anne Boonchuy who, along with her friends, Marcy Wu and Sasha Waybright steal a magic box. This box ends up transporting the three friends to the magical world of Amphibia, which is a world full of frogs. In this series, Anne has the goal of finding her two friends and getting back home. However, along the way, she faces many different challenges both in the forms of monsters and her own inner struggles, and she finds out that not everyone is who she really thinks they are. Now, I love Amphibia. We have a bunch of loveable characters, we have some huge twists and we have a very unique and interesting concept. Amphibia is such an amazing series, and I am so happy that it became a part of my life! You can watch Amphibia on Disney Plus or Disney Now!
Well, these were my 10 best serialized cartoons! Which ones do you agree with? Which ones do you disagree with? Are there any you would add? Feel free to like and comment your thoughts and follow me for more as I post regular cartoon blogs!

Having finished all of Ducktales, yeah, I can safely say that Huey's season wasn't as well constructed, I've heard people defend this saying that all of the triplets got the same about of episodes 8, but honestly, the only way I can tell that some of Huey's episodes are his episodes is the fact that all the season are supposed to have 8 episodes of the main character.
Most of Dewey's episodes were around finding out about Della, but he had episodes about just developing as a person (Sky Pirates and Missing Links). Louie also had some episodes about just him (Happy Birthday Doofus Drake and Treasure of the Found Lamp). Huey technically had some episodes about just him, Challenge of the Woodchucks, which might not count considering it's the starting point of the plot, and The Trickening, but honestly, those were pretty much the only episodes fully about Huey, most of them just have some character development in passing.
Challenge of the Woodchucks was a good episode, both entertaining wise and for Huey, Quack Pack was a Donald episode that had Huey in it a lot, so I'm counting it, but it's not very good in terms of Huey development. Astro BOYD was great and about Huey, but mostly BOYD and Gyro. The Trickening was fine for Huey's character but the episode itself didn't really leave an impact on me. The Split Sword of Swanstantine was about everyone, you might as well call Day of the Only Child a Dewey episode, but it was good for Huey's development. The Fight for Castle Mcduck, again, was really a Webby episode that only kind of counts to fill the 8 required episodes of Huey, Beaks in the Shell, which was good, but was a Fendra episode with Huey in it, and The Last Adventure, which, I don't hate, although it's not perfect, had about 5 minutes of Huey development.
Most of the "Huey episodes" are really everyone episodes that have Huey in them, with Dewey and Louie, some of their episodes had sub plots but you can tell their main episodes without a shadow of a doubt. Huey's you have to scrape by to find, including Beaks in the Shell as a Huey episode is like including The BUDDY system as a Dewey episode.
Another problem is that the Huey episodes are put in place differently. Dewey's season had Last Crash at the end of the season, Sky Pirates a few episodes before, and he played a big part in the finale. Louie didn't have as big a part in the finale, but all the final three episodes before the finale were about Louie, but because season 3 was the last Ducktales season, so the final episodes were more about defeating the main villains, also it's kind of insulting that Dewey and Louie's final episodes were about them learning what they should be in life and defeating their nemeses, but Huey's was a "technicallity" episode about Fenton.
The Last Adventure highlights the problem with Huey's lack of season actually. There was too much going on, To start with the season as a whole, they needed a Huey season, but they also need to introduce Gosalyn and Daisy and gives some more Webby for the twist and give all the kids some kind of closure and future career and have an episode on how Della and Donald ended up with Scrooge and set up a lot of stuff for the big reveal and explain the Santa fiasco and how and why did Scrooge hire Bradford and it's just too much for one season.
The Last Adventure was the same way, they had Donald and Della fighting about his moving out and May and June not getting along with Webby's friends and Manny being a Gargoyle or whatever and Huey learning that not every authoritative figure is trustworthy and Webby being mad at her grandma for lying about her parentage and most of it isn't resolved. I don't hate the twist in it of itself, but it took up too much time so nothing else could resolve. Della I think accepts Donald moving away after she says "a cruse sounds really relaxing right now" or something along those lines, but that doesn't really sound finished, she never went to Donald and said, "go sail around the world" or anything, it just feels half finished. Webby's friends and sisters not getting along is resolved with a glimpse of Lena and Violet tying friendship bracelets on May and June. Webby is shown to forgive her granny and realize that her granny is her family to, as Beakley raised her, and it's fine, they were going for a more subtle route, but it's done a bit too quickly. May and June joining Webby's side and realizing that Fowl never treated them like a family should even if they did create them is pretty good actually.
But Huey got, like, five minutes of character in this episode, it was all about Webby. Huey shows up to Bradford's office, finds out Bradford was a Junior Woodchuck to, Bradford tries to convince Huey to help his, Huey finds out he's evil. This takes like five minutes, and it's supposed to be Huey's big character development moment.
Bradford also kind of sucks. Bradford is basically supposed to be Huey antithesis, like Dewey and Don Karnage or Louie and Doofus Drake, but it's only shown a little bit in the finale, Bradford was a Woodchuck like Huey, except he was a terrible one who didn't like it, and he said he just wanted to organize and keep everything nice and peaceful, although he lied and wanted to destroy it. Like Don Karnage was evil Dewey, he was a theater kid who loved attention and acting, but he didn't care about anyone else and wouldn't let them take a turn in the spotlight. Doofus was greedy like Louie, but creepy and completely spoilt. Bradford, in my opinion, isn't evil Huey, he just hates chaos.
