Krang Donnie
Krang Donnie is a very popular trend that I've seen amongst fic writers. I wanted to take an angsty premise and make it more angsty.
Title: “Let Me Go” CW: Character Death, Body Horror, Parasitic Possession, Emotional Distress
The silence in the lair was never silent anymore.
There was always a hum, a click, a squelch—the low, pulsing static of something alive, foreign, and wrong. The Technodrome hadn’t been fully destroyed. They thought it had. Donnie said it had. He’d walked out of the wreckage, singed and coughing, but alive.
Or so they thought.
But the Krang never let go of what they claimed.
Donnie had fused with the Technodrome’s core to stop it. He’d linked his mind to it—synchronized, he said. Said he could control it. That it was the only way to save New York. And it worked...at first.
Then the whispers started.
At first, Donnie laughed them off, claiming it was just residual code, static echoes of a defeated enemy. But the laughter stopped when he began talking back. When he started twitching at sudden noises, hands trembling. When slick, pink tendrils began curling out of his arms when he was asleep.
And still, his brothers didn’t stop him.
Even when he locked himself in the lab for days at a time. Even when he stopped wearing his battle shell because “it hurts to contain it.” Even when the Krang’s ooze began leaking from his pores like sweat, pooling at his feet, sticking between his fingers like venom.
“Kill me,” Donnie said once, arms folded tightly to his chest, shadows under his eyes. “Just—do it now. Please.”
“No,” Leo had snapped, voice cracking. “Don’t say that. Don’t ever say that!”
He said it again the next week. And the next. And the next.
But none of them had it in them to raise a hand against their brother.
Not until the day Donnie hurt Leo.
It wasn’t even during a fight.
They were just talking. Donnie had started twitching, clawing at his skull, gasping, “Shut up shut up SHUT UP,” as tentacles burst from his back like snakes, writhing, dripping with slime and hatred. Leo had reached for him, whispering gently, “Hey, hey, it’s okay. I’ve got you, Dee.”
And then—
CRACK.
The sound of a body hitting the wall.
Leo slumped, blood painting the tiles, ribs cracked, mouth open in a gasp of pain.
Donnie stood over him, panting, eyes wide, Krang goo dripping from his mouth like bile. The tentacles writhed behind him like a crown. “Leo…?” he choked out, horror dawning in his voice. “No, no, no, no—LEO!”
That’s how they ended up in the center of the lair, the old dojo’s floor still splintered from the Kraang’s invasion.
Leo was on the ground, coughing up blood, propped against the wall. Raph and Mikey were frozen. Stunned.
Donnie stood in the center, quivering, half Krang now—flesh coated in slick pink, eyes ringed with inhuman red, back contorted into a twisting, monstrous shape. His voice was broken. His mind clearer than it had been in months.
“Pin me down.”
“What—”
“RAPH, PIN ME DOWN!”
Raph flinched—but obeyed. With tear-filled eyes, the eldest pinned his younger brother to the floor, Donnie’s body twitching as the Krang writhed beneath his skin, trying to take over again. Donnie screamed, spit flying. “Leo! Katana! Now!”
Leo dragged himself up with a limp, panting. “Donnie—”
“NOW, LEO!”
Leo held the blade, trembling.
“If you do it now,” Donnie gasped, “you can kill the parasite too. It’s trying to spread. If it finishes the takeover, I’ll be Krang. Not me anymore. You have to—”
Leo dropped the blade.
“No,” he said, voice crumbling. “No, I—I can’t. Donnie, I can’t—”
“You have to—”
“You’re my twin!” Leo wailed, sobbing. “I can’t lose you—I’d rather die with you, I swear to you—I’ll let it take me too—”
Donnie’s breathing hitched.
Tears rolled down his cheeks as he reached up, cupping Leo’s face with one trembling hand. A few fingers were still his scaly green skin. Still warm on Leo's skin and Leo wanted that warmth to stay forever
“You’re not going to die,” Donnie whispered. “You’re going to live. All of you are. You’re going to survive this, Leo. That’s what I want. I’m already gone. Please, Leo. Let me go.”
Leo whimpered, forehead pressing against Donnie’s in a desperate, childlike nuzzle.
“I love you so much,” he cried.
“I love you too,” Donnie whispered back, cracking. “Always. Forever.”
A pause.
Then—
Shink.
Donnie jerked—but didn’t scream.
He gasped.
Leo held him as the blade slid into his chest, eyes wide, clutching his brother’s body as he shook violently, spasming as the Krang screamed in his mind, in his bones, in the lair’s walls.
Pink sludge sprayed. Tentacles convulsed.
Then silence.
And Donnie’s body…relaxed.
The goo began to melt away, evaporating into nothing.
The Krang was gone.
The monstrosity that had once grown like a tumor from Donnie’s back was gone.
He looked like himself again.
But still.
Leo held him tighter.
“Donnie? Donnie—please—come on, stay with me—” He pressed a hand to Donnie’s chest, then his neck. “Please. Please. No—no—!”
No heartbeat.
No breath.
Just…gone.
Leo let out a raw, broken sob and crumpled over Donnie’s body, clutching him like a lifeline that had already been cut.
“I’m sorry—I’m so sorry—I love you—I love you—I love you—”
Raph dropped to his knees beside them, arm thrown over Mikey, who was shaking like a leaf.
There were no words.
Only the sound of Leo’s sobs, echoing through a broken home, over a brother who had sacrificed everything to save them. A twin who sacrificed himself for his other half
End. Donnie died a hero. But to Leo… he’ll always be his twin first. 💔

Overstimulation vs Understimulation
Tumblr media
Does anybody have any good songs to listen to when you're understimulated? 'Cause that's about the only time I don't find music helping, and it might be because I don't have the right music.
Oh yeah, also, I couldn't just leave them like that
Tumblr media
I was listening to Jim Croce while I drew this second one, and 'New York's not my home' came on, and it seemed appropriate yet ironic.

"Unspoken" Fic
@sara-the-wizard gave me permission to use one of her artworks to write a one-shot about. It is based on artwork titled 'Ninpo Connection'. I love exploring this concept of the disaster twins using their ninpo to calm each other down. I might turn this into a full fic later on but for right now, you guys are getting a one-shot. Hope you enjoy it and full credit goes to @sara-the-wizard for original artwork
The lab was dim—just the quiet, soft hum of machines still running, screens glowing faintly against the walls.
Leo stepped in silently, following the flicker he felt in his chest.
The pull.
His feet carried him past the usual clutter, past projects half-finished and wires tangled together. It wasn’t the mess that caught his eye—it was the shape curled up on the floor in the far corner. Familiar. Small, somehow.
Donnie.
He was curled inward, hoodie pulled up over his face, trembling. Leo’s hoodie, actually—blue, oversized on him, sleeves covering his hands. Silent tears streamed down his face, soaking into the fabric bunched under his chin. He didn’t look up when Leo came closer. Didn’t flinch. Didn’t move.
“Don?” Leo whispered, kneeling a few feet away.
No response.
Leo bit the inside of his cheek, eyes scanning every inch of his twin. No blood, no visible injuries. Just—shaking. Like he was freezing from the inside out. Like something had cracked open and spilled too far to patch up alone.
Slowly, Leo reached out. His hand hovered for a second… then gently closed around Donnie’s.
Still no flinch. No resistance. Just a quiet, broken exhale.
So Leo closed his eyes, took a breath—and let his ninpo flow.
It started like a whisper. A glow under his skin, a warmth that traced his heartbeat. It traveled through his hand into Donnie’s. Gentle, steady, calming. Leo didn’t speak. He didn’t need to. Through the connection, he sent his thoughts like feathers on wind:
“I’m here.” “You’re safe.” “You’re not alone.” “I’ve got you.”
Donnie’s breathing slowly began to shift, from frantic and shallow to something deeper, shakier—more grounded. The lightest flicker of violet energy answered back, pulsing just once through their touch.
And then Donnie moved.
Without warning, he pushed himself up and practically collapsed against Leo’s chest, arms locking tightly around his brother’s torso. He curled into Leo’s lap, head buried into the crook of Leo’s shoulder like he was trying to melt into him.
Leo didn’t hesitate. He wrapped his arms around Donnie in a protective hold and rocked them back and forth gently, the way you would a scared child. His ninpo glowed a little brighter, flooding their bond with a rush of warmth—not just comfort, but love. Fierce. Loyal. Safe.
Donnie felt it. His own ninpo responded immediately, curling back through the connection like threads of lavender wrapping around blue. He cuddled in closer, fingers twisting into Leo’s plastron as he sent wave after wave of affection back:
“Thank you.” “I needed this.” “I missed you.” “I love you.”
Leo didn’t need to hear the words to know. Neither of them did.
Their ninpo said everything for them.
The glow around them softened, fading gently but never fully leaving. They stayed there—entwined, silent, breathing in time. Leo rocked them gently still, nose tucked against Donnie’s head, eyes closed.
The pain wasn’t gone.
But the worst of the storm had passed.
And in the eye of it, all that remained was love.
Unspoken. Undeniable. Unbreakable.

Clothes swap
Disaster twins
"Tello, have you seen my-" Leo froze.
Donnie was curled up in a ball, wearing Leo’s sweatshirt and sweatpants, and was bundled in his weighted blanket. Leo slowly went over and rested his hand on Donnie’s shell.
“Donnie?”
Donnie flinched away, his shoulders shaking. “Oh, h-hey, Leo. What’s up?”
“Why are you wearing my clothes?”
“Oh, I was just cold.”
Leo gave his twin a look. The lie could not be more obvious. “Are you sure?”
“Yeah, absolutely.” Donnie looked shakier than a leaf.
Leo sighed and sat down next to him. "Donnie, please don't lie to me."
Donnie looked everywhere but Leo, then pulled the hood way down over his face. He trembled, and Leo heard muffled sobs. The slider's concern sky-rocketed, and he connected to Donnie through his ninpo.
Donnie. What's wrong?
Why did you do that? Donnie replied sharply as he sobbed.
Do what? Leo asked.
Leave me! You left me, and you left me alone!
But you weren't alone, Leo argued. You had Raph, and Mikey-
No, you don't get it! Twins are one soul in two bodies, and you ripped it in half. In the moment, the only person I wanted was you. The person I needed, was you. And you left me. Donnie shook even harder. I will never forgive you for that, Leo. I will never forgive you for leaving me.
Leo didn't even know he was crying until he reached up and his hand came back wet. I'll never forgive myself for that either, Dee. And I'm sorry.
Donnie threw his arms around Leo and sobbed into his twin's shoulder. Just don't do it again.
I won't. But seriously, why do you have my stuff?
I don't know. I needed something of yours, for you to feel closer to me. And don't mock me about it, that's why I use your soap.
Well that explains the smell, Leo joked. Donnie pinched Leo's tail in reply. Ow. In all seriousness, I only own one hoodie and on pair of sweatpants, and I'm cold. I have your hoodie, for the same reason you have mine, and I borrowed your pants, but-
You can have my stuff, because you're not getting these back, Donnie interrupted.
Okay, but what do we say when the others ask us about it? I personally don't want the embarrassment of either of our confessions.
Autistic sensory stim. I needed a change in texture, you offered your stuff, and I accepted.
And this is why you're the smart twin.
Also my IQ is infinitely higher than yours.
Are you saying I'm stupid?
You can be. You are intelligent in wit and strategy, adaption, and leadership. Other than that, you can be quite the dumb-dumb.
Were you complementing me or insulting me? Leo asked.
Both. Donnie yawned.
Leo laughed, then also yawned. Neither said anything, and the two snuggled together and fell asleep.
Do I understand this? Yes.
Do I understand why I did this? Not really, but it was fun.

Part 2/2 PREV
HELLO ALL. Holy smokes, remember when I said this comic was text heavy?? Y'all didn't even know what was gonna hit ya haha Also I used a big swear but honestly #letDonniesayfuck2025
ANYWHIZZLE hurt/comfort time! Leo finally gets a hug and it's from an unexpected source! What's that in the corner? It's Donnie with a (steel chair) hug!!! And Leo finally gets to break down a bit! Yippee! Does he immediately regret it?! Yes!!! Oh no, he's still riddled with self-doubt and deprecation!!
I have a sequel to this that might be posted.... Eventually. But that one is pretty angsty and would you believe it's even more text heavy. I have an excuse though!! I started as a fanfic writer and then moved to comics! 🥹 I like wordsssss. Also I'm not sure how to end the sequel sooooo rip me I guess
