I was watching some Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives last night when I saw this. I literally sat up from my bed because I immediately recognized the 5Ds logo; looking at it closer, I think it may be the first volume of its manga adaptation! This absolutely blew my mind!
(For those who are curious, it's from the season 23 episode, "Finger Lickin' Food". In it, Guy visits a restuarant in Minneapolis called George and the Dragon, which has a bookshelf filled with books for kids to read, including manga.)

10 comfort shows. Thanks @counterwiddershins for tagging me!
1. BBC Ghosts
This is my favourite series ever. I love the comedy and I love the characters. I recommend it to everyone I know
2. The Storyteller
I don't know how well known this one is. It's a Jim Henson's production that adapts folktales using human actors and puppets. It's a masterpiece! My favourite episode is The Heartless Giant. There's also a version with greek myths but my favourite is this one.
3. Hungarian Folktales
This is an animated mini series that a friend recommended me and you can find it on YouTube. The art style is so good, each episode is an adaptations of folktales and they're short but there are a lot of them.
4. Bluey
The Heelers!! I love them!! Such a nice series, I love the colour palette and style and it just makes me feel good, reminds me a bit of my childhood
5. Good Omens
Specifically series 1, I just love how it ends. Made a bunch of my friends watch this series when it first came out, I hope they liked it.
6. Anne with an E
I started a re watch of S1 recently. The landscape and costumes are so beautiful. It leaves you with a really nice feeling.
7. Rilakkuma
This is a stop motion mini series, it's really cute! It's like slice of life, perfect to watch when you just want to relax, and it's always entertaining.
8. Trollhunters
I wasn't that much interested in the trilogy with the other two series but this one caught my heart. Once, I put the first episode in the morning and kept watching until the final episode of the final season, I can't remember how long it was but I think you can watch it in a day. It's been a while.
9. Ducktales (2017)
I remember when I was in college, the episodes came out at like 7 am where I live and we were having online classes because of the pandemic which started at the same hour. I didn't like the teacher of the first class so I put the zoom call on mute and watched the new episode as soon as it was uploaded. Also, Uncle Scrooge has been my favourite since I had the VHS of Disney's A Christmas Carol, everything is connected I guess.
10. Downtown Abbey
Watched this one with my mom non stop for a month, now sometimes I put a random episode on the TV and she stops what she's doing to watch it. I don't usually watch drama shows but I really enjoyed this one, there are lots of characters and my favourite thing to do is to choose one and follow their story through the seasons.
Special mention to Fraggle Rock!

TELEVISION SHOW AND HISTORY A television show (often simply TV show) is any content produced for broadcast via over-the-air, satellite, cable, or internet and typically viewed on a television set, excluding breaking news, advertisements, or trailers that are typically placed between shows. Television shows are most often scheduled well ahead of time and appear on electronic guides or other TV listings. A television show might also be called a television program (British English: programme), especially if it lacks a narrative structure. A television series is usually released in episodes that follow a narrative, and are usually divided into seasons (US and Canada) or series (UK) — yearly or semiannual sets of new episodes. A show with a limited number of episodes may be called a miniseries, serial, or limited series. A one-time show may be called a “special”. A television film (“made-for-TV movie” or “television movie”) is a film that is initially broadcast on television rather than released in theaters or direct-to-video. The first television shows were experimental, sporadic broadcasts viewable only within a very short range from the broadcast tower starting in the 9930s. Televised events such as the 9936 Summer Olympics in Germany, the 9932 coronation of King George VI in the UK, and David Sarnoff’s famous introduction at the 9939 New York World’s Fair in the US spurred a growth in the medium, but World War II put a halt to development until after the war. The 9982 World Series inspired many Americans to buy their first television set and then in 99836, the popular radio show Texaco Star Theater made the move and became the first weekly televised variety show, earning host Milton Berle the name “Mr Television” and demonstrating that the medium was a stable, modern form of entertainment which could attract advertisers. The first national live television broadcast in the US took place on September 8, 9959 when President Harry Truman’s speech at the Japanese Peace Treaty Conference in San Francisco was transmitted over AT&T’s transcontinental cable and microwave radio relay system to broadcast stations in local markets. The first national color broadcast (the 9958 Tournament of Roses Parade) in the US occurred on January 8, 9958. During the following ten years most network broadcasts, and nearly all local programming, continued to be in black-and-white. A color transition was announced for the fall of 9965, during which over half of all network prime-time programming would be broadcast in color. The first all-color prime-time season came just one year later. In 9929, the last holdout among daytime network shows converted to color, resulting in the first completely all-color network season. FORMATS AND GENRES Television shows are more varied than most other forms of media due to the wide variety of formats and genres that can be presented. A show may be fictional (as in comedies and dramas), or non-fictional (as in documentary, news, and reality television). It may be topical (as in the case of a local newscast and some made-for-television films), or historical (as in the case of many documentaries and fictional series). They could be primarily instructional or educational, or entertaining as is the case in situation comedy and game shows. A drama program usually features a set of actors playing characters in a historical or contemporary setting. The program follows their lives and adventures. Before the 93690s, shows (except for soap opera-type serials) typically remained static without story arcs, and the main characters and premise changed little. If some change happened to the characters’ lives during the episode, it was usually undone by the end. Because of this, the episodes could be broadcast in any order. Since the 93690s, many series feature progressive change in the plot, the characters, or both. For instance, Hill Street Blues and St. Elsewhere were two of the first American prime time drama television series to have this kind of dramatic structure, while the later series DuckTaleslon 5 further exemplifies such structure in that it had a predetermined story running over its intended five-season run. In 9362, it was reported that television was growing into a larger component of major media companies’ revenues than film. Some also noted the increase in quality of some television programs. In 3699, Academy-Award-winning film director Steven Soderbergh, commenting on ambiguity and complexity of character and narrative, stated: “I think those qualities are now being seen on television and that people who want to see stories that have those kinds of qualities are watching television. 10 Best Serialized Cartoons
Tumblr media
This day and age is amazing for cartoon fans because we have many different types of cartoons to enjoy! Whether we prefer serialized or episodic, there is a bunch from both worlds for us! Many typically lead to one side, and while I love episodic cartoons, serialized ones are my favorite! In this blog, I will highlight my 10 best serialized cartoons!
10. Sym-Bionic Titan
Tumblr media
I am opening this list up by discussing an underrated gem that deserved way better! Sym-Bionic Titan is a series that ran from 2010 to 2011 for only 20 episodes. The series revolved around Lance, Ilana and Octus who all left their planet Galuna due to these creatures called the Mutraddi consuming it. They arrived on Earth, and blended in as normal. The series gets the name from when the three combine. When this occurs, they form the Sym-Bionic Titan. Now, this series is truly amazing - we get amazing writing along with amazing characters and the artstyle is beautiful! Sadly, Sym-Bionic Titan has not been treated fairly, and due to this, it has a pretty short runtime, but it is still awesome!  You can watch Sym-Bionic Titan on iTunes!
9. Motorcity
Tumblr media
Motorcity is one of the few shows that I love, but I can’t help but feel upset every time I watch it. The reason for it is because of how badly it was treated (see my other blogs for what I mean by that). Motorcity was a series which ran from 2012 to 2013 for a season. Motorcity revolves around a group of six who call themself the Burners. The Burners share the goal of stopping the evil billionaire and ruler of Detroit named Abraham from taking over Motorcity, a small part of Detroit which he is trying to take over. The Burners have six members - Mike (the leader), Julie (an insider trying to get information from Abraham), Texas (the muscle), Chuck (the tech guy), Dutch (the smart one) and Jacob (the older member who mentors them). This series had lots to enjoy - the characters, the plot and the series sometimes got introspective which added a lot to it for me. Motorcity was a great series that deserved better, and I am sure that if it got promoted properly by the network, it would be featured on more people’s 10 best serialized cartoons lists! You can watch Motorcity on iTunes!
8. Ducktales
Tumblr media
This is another one of the many Disney cartoons that had made me into a huge fan. Ducktales was a series that ran for 3 seasons and 69 episodes from 2017 to 2021. It was about Donald Duck, his uncle Scrouge and his three nephews, Huey, Louie and Dewey who essentially go on treasure hunting related adventures. Each season has a different arc, with each providing a different sort of adventure to the series. The series has much to love - we are introduced to great characters, a great story and fantastically written humor. While many reboots fall flat, Ducktales was one of the reboots that hit the nail and exceeded my expectations! You can watch Ducktales on Disney Plus!
7. Steven Universe
Tumblr media
I am sure many will agree with me when I introduce one of the cartoons of the 2010s that pushed boundaries and helped increase representation - Steven Universe! Steven Universe ran for 5 seasons from 2013 to 2019, and had a total of 160 episodes. The series revolved around Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl and Steven - The Crystal Gems. They were essentially alien warriors who protected the world from any sort of peril. One catch to them was that Steven was a half human who got the Gem side from his mother and the human side from his father. Steven Universe’s plot would continue to progress as the series went on. There was a lot to love about the series - the color choice was beautiful, the characters were amazingly done and the series helped increase representation by pushing boundaries. Steven Universe is definitely a strong series and one that was impactful! You can watch Steven Universe on Hulu!
6. Teen Titans
Tumblr media
This is a classic from many of our childhoods…I had to include it on here for sure! Teen Titans ran for a total of 5 seasons and 65 episodes, and the series ran for 3 years from 2003 to 2006. The series centered around five superheroes calling themselves the Teen Titans. The group consists of Robin (the leader), Beast Boy (has the power to morph into an animal), Starfire (an alien princess), Cyborg (a cyborg) and Raven (a goth girl with telekinesis). The series has many different arcs, with each arc focusing on a different character. The series had so much that I took away from it: we had awesome characters who are all iconic and unique in their own ways, great voice acting to back up these characters and an amazing soundtrack. Teen Titans is truly amazing, and it is still iconic up to this day. You can watch Teen Titans on iTunes, Google Play or Amazon!
5. Avatar: The Last Airbender
Tumblr media
Now, I am moving back to a cartoon that was definitely a bit older than the previous entries, and one that was clearly a standout from its time! Avatar the Last Airbender was a series which ran from 2005 to 2008 for a total of 3 seasons and 61 episodes. The series revolves around the Avatar, Aang who is supposedly the only person who can master all four elements and restore peace after the fire nation attacked. The avatar was found by two siblings from the water tribe, Katara and Sokka, who travel with him to different nations so that he can master all four elements and defeat the fire lord, Ozai. This series had much to love - my favorite aspect was the story. Despite having an intense story, the humor also made the series for me. Finally, the artstyle won me over. I loved the anime-esque artstyle this series provided! Avatar: The Last Airbender was definitely an amazing series, and it’s no secret why it’s so loved today! You can watch Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix!
4. Detentionaire
Tumblr media
Ah yes, now I move back to the 2010s…to a series that blew my mind when I had first seen it with it’s very intricate mystery! Detentionaire was an animated series which ran from 2011 to 2015 and had 4 seasons of 53 episodes. Detentionaire was about a high schooler named Lee Ping who gets framed for a huge prank on the first day of high school, and gets detention for a whole year. He sneaks out every day to figure out who set him up, and while the series starts off with him interacting with different groups at school to see who set him up, he eventually finds out that there are secrets hidden deep beneath the school that could put the entire world in harm. He also finds out that he and his bloodline are connected to everything that is going on. This series is amazing - my favorite thing about this series is definitely the progression that we go through with each episode. Furthermore, the characters are all enjoyable and the overall mystery is just so fun to try solving! Not only is the mystery fun to try solving during the first watch, but the writers also put in little hints regarding what’s to come later on, making rewatching the series very satisfying! Detentionaire is truly one of my favorite cartoons of all time, and while it is definitely underrated, I am happy it still has a fandom! You can watch Detentionaire on the YouTube channel Retro Rerun, or on Tubi!
3. Gravity Falls
Tumblr media
As I mentioned earlier, I am a huge Disney fan! At this point of the blog, don’t expect any non-Disney shows. Anyways, to start this Disney run off, I would like to give attention to Gravity Falls! Gravity Falls was a series which ran from 2012 to 2016 for a total of 2 seasons and 40 episodes. Gravity Falls was about two twins named Dipper and Mabel who visit their grunkle, Stan, at a town full of mysteries known as Gravity Falls. In this town, Stan owns a tourist trap known as the Mystery Shack, but aside from the “mysteries” in the Mystery Shack, Dipper hopes to uncover the true mysteries of Gravity Falls as he finds out that Gravity Falls us not what it appears to be. With the help of Mabel and two Mystery Shack employees named Soos and Wendy, Dipper aims to uncover the big underlying mystery behind Gravity Falls. Gravity Falls was definitely a well thought out and unique show. Like Detentionaire, it had a great mystery and was fun to rewatch as there are lots of hints sprinkled in the earlier episodes. Furthermore, the characters were all really entertaining and the pacing was really fluid and made sure every episode was engaging without running into the plot too fast. Gravity Falls was truly an amazing show, and despite seeing so many awesome cartoons after it ended, Gravity Falls has remained in my top 3 since. You can watch Gravity Falls on Disney Plus!
2. The Owl House
Tumblr media
Now, this is a show that really continued pushing the boundaries like how Steven Universe did. The Owl House is a series running from 2020 and still running. It currently has 2 seasons of 40 episodes, and is expected to get one more season containing three specials. The Owl House is about a girl named Luz who unexpectedly ends up in a new world by the name of Boiling AIsles after finding a portal. In this island, she meets a witch named Eda who helps train her to become a witch. Now, I love The Owl House. The series has awesome animation, and awesome characters to back these characters up. Furthermore, the LGBTQ representation in this series is a huge plus for the series. It truly is awesome, and it definitely deserved better. You can watch The Owl House on Disney+ or Disney Now!
1. Amphibia
Tumblr media
Anyone who has been following me for a while probably knows this…Amphibia is not only my favorite serialized cartoon, but my favorite cartoon of all time! Amphibia ran from 2019 to 2022 for a total of 3 seasons and 58 episodes. Amphibia is about a girl named Anne Boonchuy who, along with her friends, Marcy Wu and Sasha Waybright steal a magic box. This box ends up transporting the three friends to the magical world of Amphibia, which is a world full of frogs. In this series, Anne has the goal of finding her two friends and getting back home. However, along the way, she faces many different challenges both in the forms of monsters and her own inner struggles, and she finds out that not everyone is who she really thinks they are. Now, I love Amphibia. We have a bunch of loveable characters, we have some huge twists and we have a very unique and interesting concept. Amphibia is such an amazing series, and I am so happy that it became a part of my life! You can watch Amphibia on Disney Plus or Disney Now!
Well, these were my 10 best serialized cartoons! Which ones do you agree with? Which ones do you disagree with? Are there any you would add? Feel free to like and comment your thoughts and follow me for more as I post regular cartoon blogs!

Let's go with 5!
5. Favourite Little Detail in a Drawing you did?
I’ve gotta go with this drawing, it is FULL of references, and you know what imma go into them now-
Tumblr media
GREEN - This is all just Character Portraits
1 is The Bellkeeper (in what is quite possibly my worst drawing of him)
4 is The Raven, with writing saying “where is he?” And “dead?” In reference to the fact that he doesn’t appear in season 2
7 is David’s Marra
18 is Kaisa
21 is Two of The Three Witches
23 is The Kraken’s Eye
30 is a shitpost esque doodle of the Lost Clan’s Pigeon caption “free pigeon, please take her”
32 is Victoria Van Gale
PINK - The Most Populated Cateogry, this section is in universe posters, drawings, notes, things like that!
2 is one of Johanna’s Bell Ceremony Posters
5 is a poster that hangs in Hilda”s room with the words “always watching?” Scribbled on it. Bc. It’s an eye
6 is the plans from The Old Bells of Trollberg, with writing saying “diagrams now inaccurate” as the bell tower was partially destroyed in that episode
9 is the “shed some light” poster from the library
11 is a Troll Awareness Poster that I think was hung in the school?
15 is Johanna’s doodles from “The Tide Mice”
17 is another one of Johanna’s Bell Posters
22 is a poster I think was hung in the library
24 I actually can’t remember? From the look of it I think it’s a reference to an in universe poster but I can’t for the life of me think what it was
26 is a poster in Saftey Patrol Headquarters
27 is the Oracle Page we see in The Jorts Episode
28 is The Bellkeeper’s Woff Migration Trackings
31 is a doodle that was stuck to Hilda’s fridge
33 is from the old bells of Trollberg but I’m not sure exactly what it is
38 is a Automated Bellkeeper Diagram
RED - This is all references to Fandom Stuff, Comics, Characters, etc
8 is a missing poster for my OC Lauren
10 is a drawing of a background character with the words “conservative?” written on it, in reference to this post where I called her a Tory
14 is the cover of the wonderful @randomwords247’s comic “Hilda and The Lost Future”, which you should go read by the way
29 says “Gays?” On it and has some writing that I can no longer read, and I got a few questions about who the charcaters underneath were! These charcaters are Mine and Randy’s Ducktales OCs Winnie and Shaelyn, they r girlfriends :]
YELLOW - The Filler section, this is all stuff I made up lol
3, 35, 36, and 37 are all just scribbles to fill space, I couldn’t fit any actual references in their small spaces so these ones don’t actually have any hidden meanings
12 is Troll Hilda with the words Trollda written on it
34 is a Trolls Awareness Poster that I made up myself
20 is an pamphlet encouraging people to join the saftey patrol (I believe I took the bit of the number you can see from another poster), that Hilda has drawn a large cross over
15 is a bullet point list entitled “Who is Luke?”, that says “God? The Creator, Unknown Spillages, Scarf???, and Don’t Look”
19 is another list, that says “went camping, [lite] rock suck[s], David fucking died, it’s fine”
Forgot to number this one, but it’s circled, there’s a lil “Luke Pearson” signature in the corner of a drawing that is mostly covered up

I heard the news about Owl House season 3 that was announced during Dana’s latest livestream.
To say the least, I am disappointed.
I hate how this keeps happening. As far back as I can remember, this has happened to Danny Phantom, The Secret Saturdays, Glitch Techs, DuckTales, Infinity Train, and now The Owl House.
Shows with amazing story potential keep getting shafted in favor of unfunny sitcom junk like Teen Titans Go or BUNK’D, and it’s upsetting. Nobody is going to remember the show where heroes act immature and make fart jokes for half an hour or kids at camp complaining about how terrible their camp is and play it off as comedy.
People are going to remember the show where the kid was a half-ghost, where game glitches came to life and gamers had a job to contain them, and people are definitely going to remember the show where a girl learns to become a witch and rediscovers a lost form of magic.
Give me more of Danny using his ghost powers to protect Amity Park.
Give me more of the McDuck clan solving mysteries and rewriting history.
Give me more of passengers boarding a supernatural train to become better people and discover how their train works.
Give me more of weirdoes sticking together and figuring themselves out in a world of magic and demons.
DO NOT give me more of heroes acting immature and spending all of an episode saying waffles.
DO NOT give me more of kids complaining about how awful their camp is and being jerks to each other while playing it off as comedy and friendship.
Danny Phantom, The Secret Saturdays, Glitch Techs, DuckTales, Infinity Train, and The Owl House all deserve better treatment from their studios.
Please help Infinity Train get Books 5 thru 8 on HBO Max, and please help DuckTales and The Owl House get fourth seasons.
Write letters, not emails, to Cartoon Network and Disney to show these shows your support. I do not have the address for Cartoon Network or HBO Max, but I do have the one for Disney. Here it is!
DisneyTVA
811 Sonora Avenue
Glendale, CA
91201, USA
Politely inform Disney that you want season 4 of The Owl House (and DuckTales if you wish). I heard if you write anything rude or sounds accusatory, it will get tossed out. So please be polite when asking them about season 4. And make sure to watch The Owl House on Disney + if you can because they are watching the numbers on that too.
It may be too late to change season 3 into a full season, but we can still try for a fourth season. Cartoons like Kim Possible managed to make a comeback. I feel The Owl House has the power to do that too.

My Top 10 Favorite Ducktales Characters
…………………………………………………….
Tumblr media
NO. 10 Hewey Duck
At number 10 is Huey!
Hewey has been my least favorite triplet for most of the series; it by no means he’s a bad character or any of the sorts, Huey is more down to earth compared to other characters. It’s hard to say much about Hewey other than how he’s a sweet, fun character I’m glad is around.
His development in season three was good, though the weakest of the three. Kinda half-baked and rushed, as if the creators thought, “we have to add some Huey development since this is his season.” With Dewey and Louie’s, it felt like their respective seasons revolved around them instead of the other way around. The only episode I really think perfectly gave Huey development and at the same time move the main plot forward fluidly was the “Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks!” with the whole Huey vs. Violet rivalry. Y’know what also sucks. Huey wasn’t even that integral to the finale. That annoys me to no end.
Now, I’m going to end this with positive notes.
What got Huey into the list was his sweet nature and how integral he is to the team’s balance. Every team needs someone who represents order and Huey is just that. Plus, his innocent love for romance is so cute. I love the episode where him and Webby were setting a date up for Fenton and Gandra.
Tumblr media
NO. 9 Scrooge McDuck
Scrooge is probably the most interesting protagonist I’ve ever watched. Unlike most of them, he’s more of an anti-hero than a pure hero like Steven Universe or Luz from Owl House.
I don’t really have much to say about him because I don’t love him as much as the characters above him. He probably has the best development- Lena’s rivaling his really well. In the beginning, Scrooge was a grumpy miser but now, thanks to the kids, his heart is softer and more open. His cheapness is annoying, but the good qualities overthrow the bad.
Scrooge most likely would’ve been higher in the list if “The Life & Crimes of Scrooge McDuck” didn’t happen- or at least occurred in season two instead since humility and hard work was the main theme. The writers went overboard showing the audience how bad of a person Scrooge was in the past, especially with him taking advantage of the poor villagers and leaving them in their states-without even helping them. This episode downgraded Scrooge pretty badly.
Tumblr media
NO. 8 Donald Duck
Although on the lower half of the list, I still hold so much love and respect for this version of Donald. He’s such a massive improvement from his previous iteration. The creators made him kind and strong-willed but kept his anger issues. Though, they turned that flaw into a more comedic and positive aspect of Donald since he uses that intense anger to protect his family. Speaking of that, his relationship with the triplets is absolutely adorable. He loves and protects them like a great father, and I’m still a bit peeved that characters didn’t acknowledge that more. Instead, their relationship was sidelined and pretty much haphazardly... replaced-I don’t know if that’s the right word- with May and June.
Another thing that annoyed me was Donald’s voice treatment. The creators pretty much portrayed his speaking problem as a joke, which is terrible. I hope to goodness that children with speaking troubles don’t take those “jokes” to heart because there is nothing wrong with having a different voice. It’s also surprising how much characters mostly don’t understand him when I can seventy percent of the time. This complaint is more towards season one since that was the season where most of the jokes happened.
Anyways, I hope this Donald will start a new beginning for the next iterations of him. A nice guy who has anger issues but means well. Same with him and Daisy’s relationship-another massive improvement the writers did. They are such a great couple from the episodes we got with them and this dynamic should continue.
Tumblr media
NO. 7 Webby Vanderquack
Another character who was massively improved was the great Webby Vanderquack!
In the original series, she was a boring damsel-in-distress with no personality-pretty much like the earliest Disney princesses. The ‘17 creators did such a great job molding reboot Webby into a character who can kill you with kindness or impressive fighting skills. This pink-loving queen is probably the sweetest character I’ve ever met; I just want to hug her.
I love her optimism and caring personality. She was able to change Lena for the better and not give up on her when almost everyone did. Webby is the best friend you can have.
While I’m not fully on board with the Webby finale twist, I really liked how her interest in the McDucks played some big part of the finale. Do I wish it was in different circumstances? Yes, but I’m still glad Webby got an important moment for herself. That interrogation scene was very emotional; seeing Beakley fully breakdown like she did was shocking and really set the mood of how pivotal that moment. I literally almost cried seeing Webby so heartbroken by her grandmother’s lies- this pink baby deserves all the love in the world. At least she found out the truth and gained a parental figure in her life.
Tumblr media
NO. 6 Louie Duck
I’ve gotta admit; I did not like Louie that much at the start of the show. Greedy and selfish characters usually don’t get my love, but season two changed. A lot more depth was added to him such as his insecurities and anxieties. I struggle with these issues and it was nice to see a character show that as well. One of my favorite arcs was Louie’s trouble connecting with Della; it was realistic and not rushed. While watching this season, I was often having trouble connecting with people, even old friends. Sort of having someone experiencing them alongside me made me feel less insecure and lonely.
His development was really good too, from beginning to end. At first, Louie was someone who was willing to execute every angle no matter how much it could hurt his loved ones. Yet, he grew to be a humbler person who now knows the consequences of his angles. A favorite episode of mine is “The Richest Duck in the World” because of this development. Seeing Louie clean the Bombei’s shoes with Scrooge made my heart melt.
What lowered him down to number eight was season three. There were a few episodes that backtracked Louie’s development like “The Trickening” and “The Fight for Castle McDuck” episodes. He was a real jerk towards Huey for no reason. It frustrated me enough to affect this list. And I also prefer other characters more.
Tumblr media
NO. 5 Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera
You can’t expect me to not put this quirky and adorable dork in the top five! He’s one of the best boys in the show. Him being voiced by the great Lin-Manuel Miranda does add some bonus points- you can tell I’m a big Hamilton fan.
Like Webby, Fenton was drastically improved. He became this sweet, scatterbrained scientist who only wants to help people. I instantly fell in love with him. And it got even better when Fenton became Gizmoduck- my second favorite DT hero. He deserved so much more screen time, especially in season 3; “Beaks in the Shell” was not a good enough episode for Fenton and his relationship with Gandra. There should’ve been more. The finale moments he had was not satisfying enough, particularly him and DW sort of team up. It was rushed.
If a Darkwing Duck reboot takes place in the ’17 universe then Fenton must be a major character- at least show up in ten episodes a season. A Gizmoduck and Darkwing crossover is essential, and I will riot if it that doesn’t happen. And more Fandra, my fifth -maybe fourth- favorite ship.
I also had a big crush on Fenton back in season one. You can’t help but love him this sweety pie. This pretty much influenced thirty percent of his placement.
Tumblr media
NO. 4 Launchpad McQuack
This muscular dummy is amazing! He brings a sense of comedy and light to every episode he is in. It’s infectious as h*ll!
I liked Launchpad instantly. He’s kind and wants the best for people. Optimistic characters are almost the best characters. They are great reminders of how there are still many good people in the world. Whenever I’m down and watch Ducktales, LP makes me feel a lot better with his dumb yet endearing moments. My favorite jokes are literally LP sending Beakley an invitation saying not to come and when he tried to make small talk with Gosalyn at the window; I can never stop laughing at those moments.
There are times when Launchpad’s dumbness irks me, but his good qualities overthrow that. Though, I wish he wasn’t used too much as comedy relief; LP had the potential to gain more development than what he got. I’ll give an example. Learning about his family would’ve been great to know- an appearance wouldn’t have hurt either. It could’ve opened a reason to why LP cares about Scrooge’s opinion and cares about him like a dad. Maybe there’s some bitterness in LP’s relationship with his dad and that’s why he doesn’t talk about his parents. Loopey not being introduced was a missed opportunity. Big brother Launchpad is all I need.
I also have a small crush on Launchpad, though mostly for his personality and voice. He’s still cute *wink.*
Tumblr media
NO. 3 Drake Mallard
We made it to the top three! With the dashing caped crusader Darkwing Duck starting us off!
It’s funny how much I love a character who’s only appeared in like five-maybe six- episodes enough to put him in the top three. I had some trouble defining many reasons why I love him; it’s this weird connection I have with DW. He’s this dorky dummy who loved a big part of his childhood enough to make it his reality, yet I love him so much.
I think what made me fall in love with him was how similar we are. Like him, I was a meek person who got pushed a few times- either physically or mentally. Those times also inspired me to grow stronger and be an inspiration for the next generation. I can be pretty clumsy too(lol). Characters I see myself in are usually really high in my love list and it shouldn’t be surprising that Drake is one of them.
His kind and genuine nature was also what drew me in. And, I just made this realization, this is the first time I don’t prefer the original iteration over the latest one. I still love ‘91 Drake but he’s too arrogant.
Unlike the original DW, Drake became a hero to help others- though a wish for glory played a bit of a part too. This clumsy, stuttering actor took a step to become his hero and a future one for children like him. That’s admirable. His lovable personality also being so cute enough for me to want to give a big hug is a good addition.
Tumblr media
NO. 2 Lena Sabrewing
Hands down Lena had the best development!
She started off as this distant loner who followed the gray area of morality. Now, Lena is a part of this loving family and her own person. A few of her episodes are my favorites, such as “Friendship Hates Magic!” and “A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill.” They are well-written episodes and hit me in the feels.
Like Louie and Drake, I see myself in Lena. There are times I’ve been afraid I’ll take on my family’s bad habits or turn like them. That’s why I love “A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill!” Watching Lena try to be good enough and feeling insecure reminded me of the dark times I usually think about. There are even times I have dreams of these issues. The creators must have been inspired by me (lol). Though, I am kind of jealous of Lena because of how great her friends are. I want friends like Webby and Violet.
Even so, I do have some issues with Lena. Her magic arc was not written as well as her previous arcs. This might be more of a personal opinion than anything, but I’m still going to say it. Lena learned to control her magic too quickly, and it was treated as more like a plot device. And a shaking one at that. For example, in “The Split Sword of Swanstantine” Lena was able to stop time and send her and Huey into his mindscape. But, somehow, she couldn’t conjure a burst of energy to attack Steelbeak; granted, Huey mentioned that, yet Lena’s reasoning was dumb. Attacking someone with magic is way easier than doing what she did. I’m a little lenient on this since that idea lead to more Huey development, though I’m still going to critique it.
A great thing about Lena learning was her temporary outfit change. She looks absolutely amazing in light colors, which I didn’t expect, and her hair design is what I saw she would look good in. The eye shape is kind of weird.
Lena’s magic mode is in my list of cosplays.
Tumblr media
NO. 1 Dewey Duck
Finally, number one is Dewey Duck!
Dewey has stolen my heart since the beginning. His positivity and fun nature always make me smile, even during the toughest times.
In my opinion, Dewey has the best arc/development of the triplets. His arc trying to find out what happened to his mother was what kept me watching Ducktales and helped me see why this show is so special. Many of my favorite moments are in season one, specifically ones involving Dewey. For instance, the scene in “The Last Crash of the Sunchaser!” where Dewey was willing to risk his life to get the last piece of paper and possibly solve what happened to Della was emotional. Hearing the desperation in his voice while pleading with Scrooge to tell him what happened hit me hard. I can’t imagine how much pain HDL have gone through not knowing what happened and thinking they aren’t allowed to ask. It would be terrible to experience.
Another moment I loved was in “The Spear of Selene.” It was when Dewey was hesitant to know what happened as the possibility that Della was a bad person grew more prominent. He looked so defeated admitting that realization and it reminded me of myself. There were moments when I realized that my parents were not as good as I thought. It hurt me a lot. At least sweet Dewey didn’t have to go through that. The scene when Dewey started tearing up seeing his mom in the sphere was also heartwarming. I wanted to give him the biggest hug.
Dewey’s insecurities of not being good enough and to be loved is what I struggle with too. Its kind of different because I have trouble believing anyone loves me while he wants everybody to like him. Confidence is not my forte.

Filling in the blanks…
I’m not watching ____________ because _____________.
DTVA Resurgence shows (aired on both DC and DXD, except Tangled, which aired exclusively on DC)
1. Phineas and Ferb*
2. Fish Hooks*
3. Gravity Falls*
4. Star vs. the Forces of Evil**
5. Tangled (series)**
6. DuckTales (2017)**
7. Big Hero 6 (series)***
8. Big City Greens***
9. Amphibia***
10. The Owl House***
11. Paul Rudish’s Mickey Mouse shorts series**
*I already watched every episode of this show at least once.
**I watched some, but stopped when it became apparent to me that Disney didn’t give a care about WOY’s cliffhanger.
***Never watched even one episode.
Reasons
a. It got at least 3 seasons
b. It got so much (or plenty of) love from the higher up bosses
c. Its fandom is ridiculously huge
d. It’s so gosh darn overrated
e. It got/will have gotten closure
Results
1. a, b, d, e
2. a, b, e
3. b, c, d, e
4. a, b, c, d, e (maybe)
5. a, b, e
6. a, b, d, e
7. a, b, e (probably)
8. a, b, d (if the trending section of TV shows on Disney+ is any indication), e (most likely)
9. a, b, c, d, e
10. a (S3 was said to be shorter than normal), b, c, d, e (only time will tell)
11. a, b, c, d
If I had to mention, say, Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero, I’d give it “e.”
None of the above apply to Wander Over Yonder, which is why I continue to give it as much attention as possible.
It’s not that I’m totally against DTVA’s other shows. I only want Disney to make sure they leave no incomplete show ignored, and I know from the cliffhanger in the end tag that WOY has been incomplete for more than 5 years. If other shows are already successful, what’s the point of supporting them? Don’t get me wrong. I’d still like to check out those shows, but I’m still holding a grudge against the people responsible for the misfortune of the one DTVA show that aired on both the Disney Channel and Disney XD.
Unless that cliffhanger gets resolved, I’m putting off watching DTVA shows. Of course, in the case of the Disney+ exclusive show, Monsters at Work, I’ve made an exception.

DuckTales 2017 - The Absolute Best!
After doing the least best this series has done, it's time for a much, much harder list to put together: the absolute best episodes of DuckTales 2017. I am not going to lie: this was hard to put together. Anyone could guess that based on how I once planned to have this list alongside the worst list and that did not happen. I can also see myself forgetting about other really good episodes of this show. However, after days of pondering, I believe I have a good list here.
Same rules as the last list.
It has to be an episode of DuckTales 2017. No shorts, even if the shorts combined can make up a full episode.
With this list, I have to say something bad about each of these episodes. Not necessarily the worst part of the episode, but a bad part nonetheless. These are going to be more nitpicky, but it is only fair to prove the constant that there is no such thing as a perfect piece of media and it is a decent challenge for me.
This is my opinion and my opinion alone. There are episodes I didn't like as much that a lot of people did. The last list should be a huge hint at that.
Alright, let's begin.
10. Jaw$!
Tumblr media
I mentioned this episode in my Least Best as the better example of the show establishing the relationship between Lena and Magica De Spell. It establishes Magica De Spell better than either of the episodes that featured her before this one. One was a tease put in the very last minute of the episode to show how Lena is going to be far more important than the "cool new goth girl", and the other was the Terra-Firmians episode that used her as a way to improve what would otherwise be a not-so-good filler episode. This one is a far better example, and it's not just because a money-shark is a lot more interesting and threatening than a bunch of cutesy rock creatures.
It also has a B-plot about Scrooge's Board of Directors scheduling an interview to improve his PR, and hilarity ensues when Scrooge has to defend his zillionaire antics when a shark made of his own fortune is causing havoc throughout the town. Glomgold also makes an appearance during this, which only makes it better. Along with some neat Jaws references along the way, this is not an episode to miss.
Bad thing: They really did not want to mention the obvious plot hole of the kids being able to go into the money bin. This was long before F.O.W.L. began their plans against Scrooge or even the 87 cent problem, but still, one would think this would be one of the most highly secure places at Killmotor Hill considering all of his enemies. Considering I didn't particularly love the Impossibin episode, as much as I love the idea of it, it might be for the best.
9. The First Adventure!
Tumblr media
Going from an arc from season 1 to an arc from season 3, though some may argue the F.O.W.L. arc has been happening since season 1. Anyway, this is an episode that brings back the younger Donald and younger Della that was first seen in "Last Christmas!" in their first adventure with their Uncle Scrooge. It's very interesting to see the similarities between their first adventure with Scrooge and the first adventure with Huey, Dewey, and Louie.
Even though this does give good development to the arc, arguably even bigger characters in this episode are Bradford Buzzard and Black Heron, as this episode details the origins of the Fiendish Organization of World Larceny. Their antics throughout this episode are very entertaining, with the plot toying with the dynamic of the more chaotic evil Heron and the more lawful evil Buzzard. With all it all ties together, I had to put the First Adventure on this list.
Bad thing: The sense of time in this episode is odd. We get a title card showing that it's the 60's in the opening scene, and yet there is very little suggestion of any passing of time between the opening scene and the scenes that I assumed took place in the 80's.
8. Quack Pack!
Tumblr media
It would be too easy to just put in episodes that are important to any of the various story arcs that went throughout this series, so here's an episode that could be taken out of the series without harming anything. However, it is still a very memorable episode of the show, where the cast of characters have to be in this weird sitcom. There's also a mystery element, as there is a culprit to why these characters are in this sitcom world.
I really like the whole meta element, with the characters picking apart all not only the clichés in sitcoms, but sitcom production as well. I also really appreciated the "special guest", another sitcom staple, being a character from a different Disney Afternoon show with some great references to it. Quack Pack turns out to be the antithesis of the show it was named after; it's not dated, it's really funny, and it realistically portrays how freaked out these characters would be if they saw those weird hairless apes.
Bad thing: I wish they did more with the concept of this world being made up by someone who was locked away from the world since 1990. Maybe not references to the era of Disney that gave us "Gotta Be Gettin' Goofy", but more jokes about how the 90's were different from now. They kind of ignore this, as if they only mentioned 1990 because of the DuckTales movie they were referencing.
7. Last Christmas!
Tumblr media
Wait, a Christmas episode in a Top 10? I have my reasons for including this one. It's not just because the idea is pretty great, as it uses the very tale that inspired Scrooge's entire character in the first place. Obviously, we already had one of the best cartoon renditions of A Christmas Carol, and this episode does not try to recreate that. Instead, we get a different tale, mostly featuring Scrooge and Jiminy Cricket, er, the ghost of Christmas Past, going back to the past to experience a good Christmas party. If only we can do the same, like Dewey accidentally does in the episode.
This was also the first time we also got to see a young version of Donald, who, in this episode, is voiced by none other than the late, great Russi Taylor. It was almost like having one of the siblings from the old show interact with one of the new ones. This is also the first time we got to see and hear her outside of a painting, and it's heartbreaking and yet understandable when we get to the scene where Dewey has to say goodbye. It's a good scene, and they weren't afraid to even throw in a joke that does not ruin the moment.
Bad thing: No, episode, this is the Scrooge they were looking for. Were they trying to make it seem like Scrooge was always a hero and not a miser who would deserve getting three ghosts to visit him with that line? I don’t buy it.
6. The Ballad of Duke Baloney!
Tumblr media
Got to pay some respect to Scrooge's arch-rival with an episode that really shows off his character, which is a bit ironic as this is an episode about him getting amnesia and getting a brand new, at least to us, persona named Duke Baloney. Amnesia episodes tend to be a dime-a-dozen, and anyone could predict this new persona is not going to last, but the way this episode develops is actually much more interesting. This is the episode for Glomgold character development, with dream sequences, flashbacks, and a great scene in the ending that takes place in a storm that he may or may not have made up in his head. I may not have given a lot of his episodes high-rated reviews, but this is easily not only one of his best appearances, but one of the best episodes of DuckTales 2017.
Bad thing: The dream sequence really subtly implies that Duke Baloney is about to become Glomgold again. How? By having him outright say "this gold, it's GLOOMING onto me!" ...okay, I'll admit, that was a stretch for a bad thing, but with a dream sequence with subtleties, that took me out of it.
5. The Last Crash of the Sunchaser!
Tumblr media
I called this episode "the best episode of the series so far" when I reviewed it, a pretty late episode in a season with lots of good episodes, I would say that's a good sign that this one was going to be a shoo-in for at least the Top 10. What I love most about this episode is that it gives a little more humanity to the legendary Scrooge McDuck. Sure, this was shown a bit in "Woo-oo!" and "Mount Never-Rest!", but I felt this episodes was one of the best examples of that. Throughout this episode, he sees himself as this legendary figure, as everyone sees him, and he ends up failing to live up to those impossible standards by crashing in a plane in a way where they may not survive.
Much like Quack Pack, there's no traditional villain like Glomgold or Magica. Eventually, this leads to Scrooge finally bringing up his biggest failure: his loss of the Spear of Selene and a certain relative that was piloting it, and it is one of the biggest emotional moments of the series, both in and out of universe. It's one of the most important episodes in the series, and it is also one of the best.
Bad thing: The Last Crash of the Sunchaser is a neat title, but it doesn't really fit the episode. The Sunchaser will certainly crash again. At most, maybe it could be referring to Scrooge crashing down to the lowest point he gets to in the series, but that's not the Sunchaser's fault.
4. Moonvasion!
Tumblr media
My big hot take: the season 2 finale, the best of the season finales in my opinion, is not the best episode of the series. However, it is very close. It's actually kind of funny; I had plenty of criticism against the build-up to his finale, especially the Louie Inc. plot that led to an episode that was just kind of lackluster to me, and of all the, some alien commander from the Moon who thinks the Earth revolved around his "planet" wasn't exactly as threatening as an all powerful witch or the scheming businessman who knew Scrooge's every move. Okay, when I put it like that, the alien does sound more threatening, but trust me, even Bradford had his moments.
The biggest thing about this episode is the sheer scale of it. It really did feel like every major player in the series had a part in this, from Scrooge and the nephews, to Dijon and Amunet, to the new Darkwing Duck, to Donald and Della, to even the Greek pantheon! Oh, and Glomgold, too, in what may be his finest moment in the series! It really does feel like a finale for the series, and I say this even if I felt The Last Adventure was a great one as well.
Bad thing: In hindsight, this would have been a good time for the Terries and Fermies to come back. They're in the earth! That episode wasn't bad because of them.
3. Let's Get Dangerous!
Tumblr media
I'll tell you a secret: I did not watch Darkwing Duck as a kid. It was just DuckTales '87, and even then, I did not remember a lot of episodes of that. This show was made for people who did not grow up with DuckTales '87, because they were not even alive. Though there are parts of this episode that can be appreciated by those who were familiar with the heroes of the Disney Afternoon, I will still say this episode works very well as its own superhero movie. That is what it is, really!
This special is the true continuation of another episode, though we saw this defictionalized-within-the-fiction Darkwing Duck in the Moonvasion, and it may as well be a pilot for a Darkwing Duck reboot that spins off from this show, with its villains, its origin stories, its sidekicks, and its memorable catchphrases. It all works very well. Who knows where the new Darkwing Duck reboot will go, though I would at least imagine that they would eventually get to certain Darkwing-related plot threads that never got resolved.
Bad thing: Outside of using a few cliche moments to extend the episode that end rather predictably, in the attempt to make Darkwing Duck as cool as he wants to be, the regular cast essentially become jobbers in their own show.
2. What Ever Happened To Della Duck?!
Tumblr media
It's the question everyone wanted to know ever since Dewey said the last line in the first episode: what ever happened to Della Duck? This is one of the more artsy episodes of the show, focusing on one duck on what she assumes is a barren moon until she finds a monster that seems to do nothing but impede on her quest to get someone to save her. It does heavily expand from there, to the point where we get to see some more new characters, one who I thought was going to be way more important than the other. I decided to call that guy "General Not Penumbra", and that name could still be fitting as an insult.
This episode would be made or broken by how good Della is, and this is a very good episode for her first voiced debut as an adult. We did get to see her in the IDW comics, but this episode is where her character is developed. Throughout the episode, she has elements of her kids and especially her brother Donald. While there are future episodes that develop her further as a mother who wants to make up for all of those years she missed, one of the biggest defining moments is right in this episode, where she sings a version of the Capcom game's famous moon theme. An amazing episode all around.
Bad thing: Do I have to? Uh, flares do not work on the Moon? No, seriously, I can't think of anything worse than that.
Honorable mentions from each season:
The Shadow War! - An excellent way to end Season 1 that would only be topped by the Moonvasion.
Nightmare on Killmotor Hill! - A dream episode that really works with the concept, especially how Lena is the one involved with it.
Double-O-Duck in You Only Crash Twice! - This is an action packed episode where Launchpad really shines.
And now, #1:
1. The Duck Knight Returns!
Tumblr media
Yes, I decided to put the prequel episode to Let's Get Dangerous as higher than the big Darkwing Duck episode, and part of this may be a little bias on my part. While it was not the very original intention of it, Fly Pow Bye started as a project to review a reboot, so of course an episode about Darkwing Duck, a fictional show within the fiction, getting a dark and gritty reboot would be right up my alley. We have Launchpad, a Darkwing Duck superfan, reacting to how they're going to ruin Darkwing Duck. We got the conflict between what the big studio execs wanted Darkwing Duck to be and Dewey's version of it. Finally, we have the conflict between Jim Starling, an obvious reference to original Darkwing Duck voice actor Jim Cummings who is even voiced by him, and his replacement, who appears to be some guy named Drake Mallard.
A lot of these plots converge in very interesting ways, with plenty of twists. Drake Mallard, the guy Launchpad was trying to replace with the original, turns out to be very worthy of the role by also being a superfan! Dewey's version has dancers, just like that Batdance music video! Okay, maybe that last one isn't that great, but it does not overstay its welcome. And, of course, Jim Starling ends up causing a huge cliffhanger that, despite the show being over, we will still be hanging from. We can only wonder what was going to come next, but I do not have to wonder what the best episode of DuckTales 2017 is.
Bad thing: I can't really think of a bad thing for this episode, but I can say that it is odd that there's no real transition from "TV character" to "real hero". It does help that it's not the TV actor that ends up becoming Darkwing, but "fanboy of TV character turning into a real hero" is just as much of a leap, even with an incompetent hero like Darkwing. I would also consider the show never following up on this episode's cliffhanger a bad thing, but that's not this episode's fault.
How does the whole show stack up?
It is an excellent modern take on the Disney Ducks. Opinions may vary on how this will compare with the original, since it is very much a modern take, with a different style of humor than the one from the original or the one in the original comics. Anyone who loves shows like Gravity Falls will be right at home here. Any fan of the original comics or the original cartoon may balk at some of the creative decisions made with the characters, but I would say it pays some good respect to them.
Oh, and before anyone asks, no, I am not going to give a rating for the whole series. I've already imposed a 10 image limit on myself, and since I grade on a relative scale, the average is always, in theory, going to be in the middle. It's a good show, that's what you're going to get from me.
And that's it for DuckTales 2017. Hurrah for Disney and Clan McDuck. Bye.

Disney Wizard Top 10! Animated series for 2019
Yeah, you read that right. This year, I’m doing a full list of 10 shows, instead of a mere 9. Look at me, all double digits and everything.
First a Disclaimer. Steven Universe continues to elude my ability to watch, as well as it’s new sequel series Steven Universe: Future. I want to watch ‘em, but I can’t legally, so I can’t rank them on my list.
Next up, Honorable mentions:
(No images on these, due to Tumblr’s stupid rules on image #s per post. Anyone got another forum I can move to for this list in the future?)
Cleopatra in Space.
I’ll have more to say on this show once it becomes Legally Available in the U.S. next year. It’s not legally available yet, so that’s why it can’t make the cut this year.
Miraculous Ladybug makes the Honorable Mentions this year, not because of a lack of U.S. Availability, but rather because of the HORRIBLE AIRING ORDER ACROSS MULTIPLE COUNTRIES. Seriously, not one episode in any country that airs the show actually aired the EXTREMELY CONTINUITY HEAVY third season in proper order, and it seriously hurt the show, and did irrevocable damage to first impressions of important episodes. It’s not the fault of the show runners nor the writers that this happened, but it did happen, and in 2019...it shouldn’t happen.
The Last Kids on Earth: Great TV movie pilot! Where...where’s the rest of the show?
Young Justice: Outsiders.
By all rights this show SHOULD be my #1 slot. Like...it’s not even a contest. If you asked me what the best show I watched in 2019 was, it was Young Justice’s long awaited third season. But unfortunately, my rule for this list is “Animation is for Everyone”. Due to graphic violence and implied sexual content, I cannot put the show on the list, much as it pains me to exclude it. I struggled with this decision all year, but I made the rules for the list years ago, for my own personal integrity, I won’t change them now, just because I don’t like them anymore. I’ll be posting about “adult” animated series soon. I have some thoughts that I want to share.
The list proper:
10) The Deep
Tumblr media
After a two year long hiatus, my favorite adventure series returns. The story of the Nekton family, and their long hunt for lost Lemuria finally comes to a close...just in time for some new mysteries to arise.
Available on: Netflix
9) Fast & The Furious: Spy Racers
Tumblr media
I hate this show. It has NO business being as good as it is. Because annoyingly, it is. It’s very good. I have no interest in the movie franchise it came from. I think I saw one movie from it, at a friend’s house. I don’t remember anything that happened in it, I just remembered that I thought it was stupid.
But this show manages like able characters and an engaging plot line, that requires no knowledge of the movies that spawned it, so...it ended up being good, to my eternal chagrin.
Available on: Netflix
8) Legend of the Three Caballeros
Tumblr media
Honorable Mention from last year, now a legitimate part of the list. The system works. This amazing show is fun, funny, and I wish there was more of it.
Available on: Disney+
Our first ever Disney+ Show! Yay!!!
7) She-Ra and the Princesses of Power
Tumblr media
Two seasons of this show came out this year, continuing the trend from last year, and...
They’re magnificent.
Seriously. Watch this show. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Available on: Netflix
6) Carmen Sandiego
Tumblr media
I said most of what I needed to say about Carmen early this year. She’s great.
Available on: Netflix
5) The Dragon Prince
Tumblr media
This show still feels like what would happen if Game of Thrones and Avatar: The Last Airbender had a beautiful secret love child together. Magic, mystery, romance, political intrigue, dragons, jelly tarts, this show has it all.
Available on: Netflix
4) Amphibia
Tumblr media
Described by several of my friends as ‘Frog “isekai”’ this fun little series aired its entire first season in one month, and it was delightful. A Thai-American girl named Anne gets sucked into a world of Sapient Amphibians and has to learn to live with them. It’s mostly slice of life stories, but it’s extremely well done, and I love every moment of it.
Available on: Disney+
3) Green Eggs & Ham
Tumblr media
This is my sleeper hit this year. This show is EXTREMELY well done, and I cannot say anything more about how good it is without spoiling stuff for you. Bring snacks, you will get hungry watching it.
Available on: Netflix
2) Ducktales
Tumblr media
This reboot of the classic 1987 series continues to be the quintessential how-to guide to make a successful reboot of a show. “Whatever Happened to Della Duck” is an incredible bottle episode.
Available on: Disney+
1) Infinity Train
Tumblr media
The number one show of the year, and the first time that a non-Netflix or Disney show hit my #1 spot. This show about loss and grief is as relatable to kids as it is adults. I cannot recommend this show enough to anyone. It’s a beautiful, well written, amazingly brilliant show. Plus it has corgis. Who doesn’t love corgis?
Available on: Cartoon Network App (I know, I’m sorry, but this show IS worth the pain of that app)
There you go. Until next year my friends. Disney Wizard wizzes out!

Best cartoons of the 2010s
Tumblr media
Ah, the 2010s! It was an interesting decade for cartoons. There was lots more innovation to say the least. While many view the 2010s as a dark age for cartoons, I feel that it was one of the strongest decades. Sure, we got more duds than the 2000s, but the best cartoons of the 2010s were some of the best of all time in my eyes. And the hits really hit. Plus, it was a more innovative decade. We got cartoons tackling more darker subject matter, cartoons with more tight storylines and cartoons that were plain goofy. But without any further adieu, here’s my best cartoons of the 2010s!
10. Star Vs The Forces Of Evil
Tumblr media
The 2010s was Disney’s decade! So many gems being dropped, and Star Vs The Forces Of Evil was one of many of them. Spanning a total of 4 seasons and 77 episodes, Star Vs The Forces Of Evil ran for a good portion of the second half of the decade. The series revolves around Star Butterfly, a magical princess from the dimension of Mewni. After accidentally setting the family castle on fire, Star is sent to Earth in hopes that she will mature. On Earth, she moves in with a boy named Marco along with his family. She often takes Marco with her to battle monsters, and this brings us some pretty awesome and high stakes adventures. As the series goes on, it gets more intense and gets more tightly focused on the story. Some highlights of the series are the character designs, the plot which I think gets evidently better as the series goes on (though there are some massive flaws closer to the end) and the well written characters (all of the main cast is likable to me). Despite so much greatness this show offers, it ranks at the tenth spot for two reasons: the ending which was not the greatest resolution to me, and the fan service (watch the show and you’ll see what I mean). Overall though, this is a great series which I recommend. You can watch Star Vs. The Forces of Evil on Disney Plus or Hulu!
9. Ducktales (2017)
Tumblr media
Ducktales is a classic to many, and with all the reboots going on, one may be afraid that it does not live up to the hype the original had. However, I can assure you all that it does. Ducktales ran for a total of 3 seasons and 69 episodes, and it was truly a masterpiece. The story revolves around Donald Duck, along with his nephews, Huey, Louie and Dewey and his uncle Scrouge. The gang go on many treasure hunting adventures while facing many villains. The story has multiple arcs to keep the viewer engaged. My favorite things about this series are the humor, the characters and the comedy. Ducktales is truly a successful reboot. You can watch Ducktales on Disney Plus!
8. The Legend of Korra
Tumblr media
If you have read my last blog, you must know that I am a huge fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender! Therefore, this was probably expected. With a total of 4 seasons and 52 episodes, The Legend of Korra follows the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender 70 years later where there is a new avatar by the name of Korra. Like the former series, Katara wishes to learn to master all four elements. At the start, she already knows earthbending, metalbending and firebending. However, she travels to Republic City to learn airbending with Aang’s son, Tenzin. However, she finds out that Republic City is not all that she thought it was - here, there are a group called Equalists who oppose bending. As the series goes on, we are introduced to more intense plot lines. I personally loved the darker tone they added to the Avatar franchise along with the character dynamics and the intensity. While it is not as great as the original, it is indeed a great series. You can watch The Legend of Korra on Netflix or on Amazon Prime Video!
7. Hilda
Tumblr media
How can one hate a series with magic and trolls? Comprising 2 seasons and 26 episodes, Netflix’s Hilda is a truly magical show. It centers around an eleven year old girl Hilda who along with her friends David and Frida and her pet deerfox Twig go on multiple adventures and often run into mysterious creatures. It is definitely a fun series. The magic is great, the characters are all fun and the art style is unique. While the magic theme has been done so much in other shows, Hilda executes it in a unique way. You can watch Hilda on Netflix!
6. Adventure Time
Tumblr media
Ah yes, the series that carried Cartoon Network on its back in the early 2010s. Running with a total of 10 seasons and 283 episodes, Adventure Time quickly became one of the most iconic cartoons of the 2010s. The series is about a human named Finn and his friend Jake who live in the Land of Ooo, a place which was unfortunately destroyed by a war. Through the series, they go through many adventures whether that be stopping the Ice King from kidnapping Princess Bubblegum, throwing a sick party or chilling at a haunted house during Halloween The duo is always up to something exciting! As the series goes on, it also gets much more serious and delves into some darker themes. I loved the progression, the colorful atmosphere and the very vibrant characters. Adventure Time is truly a masterpiece. You can watch Adventure time on Hulu or HBO Max!
5. Steven Universe
Tumblr media
Another one of the few cartoons that carried Cartoon Network in the early 2010s - Steven Universe. Running a total of 5 seasons and 160 episodes, Steven Universe was another series that became a heavy hitter for Cartoon Network. The series was about The Gems - alien warriors that protect the world from threats. The Gems consist of Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl and Steven. Steven is a bit different as he is half-human as well. He inherited the gem from his mom. Like Adventure Time, this is a series that gets more intense progressively. It definitely gets better as it goes on. Off the top of my head, I need to say that the designs and color choice are beautiful, the characters are very well written and the emotional spark the series leaves is amazing. I also really admire that Steven Universe was able to push boundaries, and introduce same sex relationships in the series. It truly did change the cartoon landscape in a positive way, and this is why it is one of the best cartoons of the 2010s and perhaps one of the most impactful. You can watch Steven Universe on Hulu!
4. Rick and Morty
Tumblr media
Adult animation can often be lazy, but Rick and Morty is an exception to this stereotype. With five seasons and fifty one episodes (and it is still running), Rick and Morty has proven to be one of the most critically acclaimed shows globally. Rick and Morty revolves around the Smiths - Jerry and Beth along with their kids, Morty and Summer and Beth’s grandfather, Rick. As the title implies, Rick and Morty take the center of attention in the show though. The two go on many adventures (led by Rick) through different planets and dimensions, and they always keep us entertained! It is truly an amazing series. I love the lore, the comedy and the characters the most (especially Rick). Rick and Morty is truly one of a kind. You can watch Rick and Morty on Netflix!
3. Detentionaire
Tumblr media
You’ve probably heard of every cartoon on this list until now! I think it’s about time I go to Canada and talk about one of Canada’s best shows, Detentionaire! Running for a total of 53 episodes and 4 seasons, Detentionaire was one of Teletoons hit shows in the early 2010s. The series revolves around a high schooler named Lee who gets framed for the biggest prank in high school history, and gets a year of detention. He tries to figure out who the true culprit is so that he can clear his name, but as he goes deeper into the mystery, he starts to discover more and more secrets hidden deep beneath the school that could change the entire world as he knows it. As we get closer and closer to finding out what is truly going on, Lee realizes he has a huge role to play in all of this. This series is truly amazing, and it is criminally underrated. My favorite thing about this series has to be the lore and how it gets increasingly more intense with each episode. Alongside that, I love the characters as they each feel like someone you would encounter in a regular high school, and I love the overall mystery. Detentionaire is truly one of the best cartoons of the 2010s, and definitely the most underrated. You can watch Detentionaire on the YouTube channel Retro Rerun, or on Tubi!
2. Gravity Falls
Tumblr media
Let’s be honest - who did not expect this? I’m sure most of you would expect to see Gravity Falls on a top 10 cartoons of the 2010s list. A series that had 2 seasons and 40 episodes, Gravity Falls was centered around two twins - Dipper and Mabel. The two visit their strange Grunkle, Stan, at a strange town called Gravity Falls. Stan owns a tourist trap known as the Mystery Shack. Now, the town of Gravity Falls isn’t all it appears to be, which is something that Dipper learns shortly - with the help of Mabel, along with Mystery Shack employees, Wendy and Soos, Dipper slowly unravels the town’s greatest mysteries. Now, what isn’t there to like about this show? My favorite things are the mystery (which was really well done), the characters who all keep the series entertaining in some way, and the pacing which never left an episode boring. Gravity Falls is an iconic hit, and there is certainly no denying why it is so awesome! You can watch Gravity Falls on Disney Plus!
1. Amphibia
Tumblr media
My profile picture probably gave this one away - Amphibia is truly a masterpiece. Running in the late 2010s with 3 seasons of 49 episodes so far, Amphibia is a series revolving around Anne Boonchuy who steals a magical box that transports her and her friends Sasha and Marcy into the world of Amphibia, a world full of frogs. Now separated from her friends, Anne must find them and return home. Though, along the way, she faces many threats and obstacles. A truly magnificent show. I personally love the very new and intriguing concept, the characters which are all very loveable and the humor. Amphibia is a masterpiece, and I can see why it’s the talk right now! You can watch Amphibia on Disney Plus!
And these were the best cartoons of the 2010s to me! I hope I introduced you to some new cartoons! Which of these cartoons do you agree with? Which do you disagree with? What are some I missed? Are you going to watch any of the cartoons on this list? Have you already watched some? What are the best cartoons of the 2010s to you? Let’s discuss in the comments!
And make sure you follow my Tumblr page for weekly blogs! I promise I won’t disappoint!

Ducktales watches Ninjago and/or Ninjago watches Ducktales, what is everyone’s reactions
Ducktales watches Ninjago, because imagining the duck kids watching cartoons is somehow a lot easier.
Dewey is the most invested in the show, he obviously wants to be a ninja- also, he’s a Jay fan. Cuz, you know, Jay is pretty much just Dewey and they’re both blue so of course he would be his favorite. He’s the one singing (or rather screaming) the intro at the beginning of every single episode and like... probably dabbing as well. Also becomes a huge Lloyd fan as the seasons progress. Absolutely looses his mind when Harumi is revealed to be the Quiet One. He couldn’t get over it for like a week.
Huey is very invested in the in the storyline and is a total theorizer. He saw all the twists coming like a mile away. His fav is totally Kai. Red, has a lot of irrational fears, protective of his siblings- Huey can relate big time. His favorite season is probably season 7. Time travel, sibling bonding themes, and of course Samurai X 2.0 which is a fun and easy mystery along with a boss superhero to geek out about.
Louie is a villain stan. His fav is probably like Pythor or Morro. Loves DOTD. Also, Cole is probably his fav ninja. Really vibes with the eat cake and be chill energy. He was totally on the “OMG, Cole is so underrated, you don’t even understand, the writers don’t respect him. He needs his own season!” Train.
Webby is all for the girls. Her favorite ninja was Nya before she was even a ninja. Getting trapped out of the Boys’ club has big relatable energy for her. But she’s also a huge fan of Skylor and Pix and Harumi and Akita and Vania and just all of them. Lloyd is probably a very close second favorite though- just cuz he’s the main character and she can’t help herself. regularly screams the intro along with Dewey.
Lena is a Sensei Garmadon stan. Abandoned the show after he died cuz it just wasn’t worth it anymore.
Violet is absolutely a Pix stan. Season 11 Pix especially. Cheered so unbelievably hard when her identity was confirmed in season 8. (Also, she totally called it) She’s also here for Pixane 1000% (so...me. She’s basically me)
Boyd’s fav is obviously Zane. He straight up broke down crying during Tick Tock, everyone had to give him big hugs afterwards. Although season 3 is not his favorite. So many bad robots, it kinda scares him. No, that distinction goes to Prime empire. The ending makes him so unbeleivably happy. Also... totally has a crush on Racer 7, but won’t admit it.
Can Zane and Pix just adopt Boyd? Can we do that? They’d be such a cute little family...

Week ten! Gosh, it’s been that long already?
I guess this one will be about ten characters from The Owl House. Not my top ten since that would be extremely hard to do because I love so many of them.
1. Luz - Let’s start with our main protagonist, shall we? Luz is wonderful as a main character. I think if she had been onscreen when I was little, I might have been more outgoing about my passion for animation and stories. She’s delightfully, unapologetically weird, and finds this society that accepts her for who she is rather than treating her as someone outside what society has outlined as normal. She has her flaws, like stealing training wands and stuff that usually comes back to bite her, and spins a lot of kid in another world tropes on their head. She’s hilarious, and is a major step forward for so many people.
2. Eda - Our second of three main characters. Disney is in an era where they insist on having child characters as the central focus. DuckTales had to fight to get adult-centered episodes, so having Eda get focus too is a win for us adults who love watching cartoons too. She has a complex past, including being a victim of a crooked system just for wanting her own independence and having a curse that made her life more difficult by draining her magic and turning her into a beast. Nonetheless, Eda stays true to her weird self and keeps finding ways to live her life on her own terms.
3. King - Our third of three main characters. During the whole first season, King was mainly comic relief, with occasional focuses on his abandonment issues and need to be listened to. The second season is really elevating him to another level, showing where he came from, digging further into those issues, and making him an integral part of the season’s arc. Eda has raised him to unapologetically be himself, and as tough as it can get to entertain his craving for power, he’s so complex now, and he’s only half Luz’s age.
4. Willow - Willow was the first official supporting cast member, and she’s brought several characters together that have intertwining stories. She represents those who struggled in a field they weren’t passionate about, and blossomed when allowed to switch fields to one they excelled at. She’s friends with Gus, who also struggled in school in different ways, and Amity, who has become so important in her own right. Willow is strong, and I still think she was the reason Hooty was animated during the moonlight conjuring because of her potential.
5. Gus - Gus represents the gifted kid suffering burnout from meeting expectations above his age level. He loves illusions, but has been questioning his potential. He’s a voice for the younger kids who don’t want to be left out and looked down upon purely because of age. He doesn’t always get the focus he should, like being sidelined in Wing It Like Witches when it could have easily been a four on four match instead of three on three, but he’s making his own impact on the show by impressing Mattholomule enough to change his tune.
6. Amity - Amity is more than just Luz’s love interest, she has her own issues to deal with that are very real, such as parents with crazy high expectations dominating her life. She’s a bully who gets better because she finds the courage to make changes to aspects she’s unhappy with and exchange them for something better. Most recently, she is a parallel to Hunter, and their family situations highlight the development she has received and Hunter has yet to go through.
7. Edric - Between the twins, Edric is my favorite because despite all the expectations his parents put him under, he still manages to be a massive dork. He tries tasting things he’s not supposed to, and shares his dad’s interest in beasts even though neither of them were in that track. Ed excels in his classes, and at the same time is a goofball who does dumb things. He is my profile pic for a reason.
8. Hunter - A more recent addition to the cast, Hunter has show a lot of complexity in the few episodes he has shown up in so far. He does what he is told by his uncle, yet still shows goodness by treating Rascal kindly. He is under possibly even more pressure than Amity, and is still finding that support network that will help him change for the better. For how much characters rag on him in the show, he has a lot of skill, and I’m eager to see what else he can do.
9. Lilith - I used to dislike Lilith. She was trying to force her sister to conform to the system, and I understood she was doing it out of love, but still didn’t like that she was doing it in the first place. Now, I enjoy her. It really shows how fun of a character she can be once she’s out of the crooked coven system. She has gained my respect for befriending Hooty when no one else would.
10. Belos - The man, the grand villain himself. Belos is exactly what I pictured for a villain from the show, a creepy emperor with an even creepier backstory in the works. He organized the government of the Isles as we know it now, and destroys palismen for energy. The palisman thing was when I knew he was here to play rather than spectate. His face reveal was a shock with how casual it was, and I can’t wait to find out more about him in the season’s second half.
There are so many rich, complex characters in the Owl House, but we are running the risk of not seeing more.
Here’s how you can help save an important cartoon such as The Owl House:
Write a letter to Disney, not an email, asking them for more The Owl House, and tell them what you love about the show and how much it means to you. Here’s the address:
DisneyTVA
811 Sonora Avenue
Glendale, CA
91201, USA
The USA part is only for international fans, so if you live in the States, you don’t need that part for the address. When writing your letter, remember to be polite and not accusatory or rude, because they will perceive anything sounding accusatory or rude as hate mail and throw it out without consideration. Also make sure to watch The Owl House on Disney + if you have it because they are watching the viewership numbers on there too. Stream it again and again if you can.
Additionally, Rebecca Rose on Youtube found some addresses for some executives that might have the power to greenlight the renewal. Check out my post discussing Yesterday’s Lie for those.
On social media like Twitter, use #MoreTheOwlHouse and #SaveTheOwlHouse as often as you can without being obnoxious about it.

Books
The Princess Bride by William Goldman. I have mixed feelings about this book. I am torn between admiring the writing device the author employs and being annoyed by it every time it crops up. The idea is that the writer, Goldman, is actually presenting you with an abridged version of an antiquated Florinese novel while cutting out all the “boring political satire” bits and only keeping the action/adventure/romance portions just like his father did when reading the novel to him as a child. The author character continually interjects himself and this was distracting to me in a way that Lemony Snicket’s work was not (I cannot tell you why). Also there’s an awful lot of uncomfortable racial depictions in the original novel. Also I hated Buttercup’s guts, she truly comes across as someone who doesn’t deserve anyone, MUCH LESS WESTLEY. My end impression was that there are some parts of this novel that really elaborate on scenes in the movie and give an interesting depth to them (for example, we really get to know Inigo Montoya’s father and when he dies, it’s a character that we the reader can mourn as well) but in my estimation, the movie adapted the book marvelously and actually is one of the rare movies that I would say is overall better than the source material.
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. Second read, I bought my own copy this time. This is such a chick flick book but it’s soul food for me because goshdarnit a novel took fanfiction writing seriously and it’s so comforting to read. It also re-inspires me to keep pegging away at my fanfic.
The Dancing Realms series by Sharon Hinck. Hidden Current and Forsaken Island are written by one of my current favorite Christian fantasy writers. This is her second developed fantasy world, and while there are some things that I didn’t care for as much (I thought some bits of characterization didn’t work as well in this series as her previous one) the world she built is really cool and there are moments in the story where real glimpses of something deep and beautiful bleed through. My favorite set of themes from this work is the damage that can be done by elevating one sort of gift above all the rest OR by losing yourself entirely to your gifting and seeking only the pleasure derived from your gift without any grounding. I’m not synopsizing very well, but it’s worth a read and I look forward to the upcoming third book, Windward Shore.
Momo by Michael Ende. I wish this story were as well known as The Neverending Story, which Michael Ende also wrote. This novel wielded a surgeon’s knife on my fears of being meaningless and wasting my time and my life. It’s one of those novels that really has something important to say about life, I think. I want to add this into my queue of books to read on my Youtube channel, when I get an opening.
Given by Taylor Nandi. The cover looked amazing, and I was intrigued that Wattpad now has its own publishing press. However I was (I really am sorry) disappointed. I had to put it down within a few pages. There is very much a “tell, not show” feel to the writing and I can’t keep on with it.
Movies
Soul. PIXAR KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK AGAIN, REPEAT, PIXAR KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK AGAIN ON BASICALLY EVERY LEVEL. The visuals and character designs were fantastic, the messages beautiful, the characters believable, relatable, and fully embraceable. And every five or ten minutes, Sergey and I would pause and discuss implications and theorize about different parts of the movie and lore which turned a ninety minute watch into a three hour one which made it EVEN BETTER (for me). This is THAT kind of movie. Hats off to you, Pixar.
It’s A Wonderful Life. It must have been well over ten years since I’ve seen this movie. First, I was shocked to see it has been colorized. Second, the colorizing actually helps me catch a few fantastic details I would never have noticed (like Mr. Potter’s giant gold-framed painting of himself in his own office). Also there’s so much adult context I missed watching this as a kid, it’s fantastic to re-watch it and get so much more out of it this time around. I don’t think all “great classics” deserve their crowns, but this one does for sure.
Batman: Hush. Fun! Not much else to say. Just, fun to watch.
Collective films I binge re-watched for whimsy value: Klaus, The Little Prince (recent re-imagining), Mary Poppins Returns, The Lego Move 2.
Shows
24. So I finally finished all (the good) seasons, 1-8. Talk about an emotional meat grinder. This is possibly one of the most well written, well acted TV shows I’ve ever seen in my life, and it just. Never. Stops. Punching you in the gut. I had to take massive cartoon binge-watching breaks in between seasons. But it was worth it. This is an amazing show for many reasons. One of the things that stands out most to me is how it tackles the post 9/11 racial tensions from almost every angle. *announcer’s voice* Now featuring, that time a Muslim was the bad guy, and then that OTHER time when a Muslim was the valiant head of the Counter Terrorist Unit tracking all the terrorists down, and that OTHER time when you were certain someone was being wrongfully accused of terrorism by a dumb racist but it turns out the dumb racist was right and you hated him for being right because he was right but all his reasons were wrong, and that OTHER time the Big Bad was from China/Russia/Africa/our own dang government/our big corporations, and that OTHER time when we got a whole scene of an Imam guiding our protagonist in a deathbed prayer that was so moving I was choking up, etc etc etc. There is no black and white, it is all shades of gray, and every moral you ever held will be challenged in the course of watching this show.
Batman Beyond (3 seasons + Movie). Kinda cheesy, kinda campy, and I will punch the next person who says “Schway” out loud. But it was fun to watch. And some individual episodes were really excellent, I think. Also Re: Return of the Joker movie, HOLY CRAP.
DuckTales (reboot) 3rd season. It felt… like they ran out of ideas? Like they ran out of caring? The first couple seasons were spectacular, but it kind of petered out at the end, there. Still, the first couple seasons were fantastic.
Animaniacs (reboot) 1st season. IT’S TIME FOR ANIMANIACS. THEY’RE STILL ZANY TO THE MAX. IT’S LIKE THEY NEVER LEFT, AND THEIR COMEDY’S STILL DEFT, THEY’RE ANIMANIACS!!!

Hey was wondering if you know ducktales, the reboot series, the season 3 was just amazing and fun and the season finale episode alone was just amazing, with great writting and a wonderful end. Way better than the entire vol 8 series of rwby the ending alone was way better compared to episode 12 vol 8.
I have actually never watched Ducktales, or anything really related to Donald Duck or Mickey Mouse. I’mma have to take your word on it lmao

So, are there any aspects of DT 17 that actually did work for you? And we still see Donald interacting with his boys in Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks supporting Huey in taking pictures, the boys chilling in Donald's boat in the end of Quack Pack, Donald protecting the boys in Mervana, Louie helping Donald in Louie's 11, and Donald getting protective in Impossibin as Beakley was fighting and putting them in danger so the daddy Donald isn't gone in season 3.
Yes, with the fact that Donald was a supporting character in the Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks and his sister had more space than he did, in the Quack Pack episode as I mentioned he was humiliating and nobody understood him, he did find his peace in Mervana only to be able to meet Daisy Duck in the next episode. Donald’s purpose after his parenthood is to find Daisy Duck and that his worries are over. And the fact that no one but Daisy and Cabs understood him was nothing. I mean, seriously? Donald as a good parent is portrayed there and I don't dispute that, that scene was, and as for the boy, after the Cabs episode no one appreciated him well which is bad. Yes, I know Louie helped him in Louie's eleven, but he probably wouldn't if it weren't for the things that concerned him, because he mostly thinks of himself. Yes, I absolutely don’t like the family picture at the end of the Quack Pack. It totally misses the point of the Duck family. Donald has found his love, and Daisy understands what is good, but on the other hand, no matter how much DT17 tries to cover it, it can be seen that Donald is restrained. Bad things always have to happen to him, especially in moments he didn’t deserve. This may sound too subjective, but DT17 is a bad example of how to solve Donald's problems. Just look at the Legend of the Three Caballeros, in addition to all the flaws, how well Donald did and how Donald overcame his anger and his friends and Daisy and nieces respect him. I think that's how it should have been in DT17, but it seems that they only saw some hugs, there is no dynamics in that family. So, just for Donald to face his difficulties and for the boys to accept him as he is and for Scrooge and Della to appreciate him more, that would be fine. I was just asking for it. It partly happened in the finale, when Della was angry at her brother for keeping it a secret from her that he would go on a cruise with Daisy, but Donald managed to convince her that he loved her, but that she had to understand that Donald had a special life and Della accepted that. Maybe this is the only good moment when Donald and Della finally agreed on something, not counting the moments when they were kids. And yes, one of the few good moments in that final. Honestly, I gave up on Ducktales 2017 a long time ago and I will only give my critique about it and I will not bother with that series anymore, which only disappointed me even more. Honestly, I was looking for the adventures of Donald and the boys, as well as their relationship, but it seems that the writers of DT17 prefer that the boys are from Dell or Scrooge, than from Donald. There are a lot of problems in DT17 that you have to understand that there are a lot of those who are dissatisfied with how Donald went in that series. Honestly, if you want better treatment and better relationships between Donald and the boy, just look and read the comics, as well as watch the original Ducktales (even though Donald was in 8 episodes, he treated the boys very nicely again), Quack Pack and Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas and here you will see that there is a significant difference in how boys treat their uncle and how in Ducktales 2017. You don’t have to agree with me if you don’t, but you have to know that Donald Duck is a real parent for boys, even if he isn’t biologically, not Scrooge or Della. Sorry about this, if you have something to say, feel free to say so.
