US Open MS Q1: Kaichi Uchida vs. Dudi Sela 6-3 1st set stats
Tumblr media
📸 US Open qualies feed (via an alt link)
My tape is still rolling for this mstch so rip hot shots.
However, there were several good points coming from both players I should commend! And Sela still fights for every point, oh! That exceeds my "just vibes" expectations while I came here for the vibes, but sure, recap.
Uchida really has his potentials here. He was solid in his service games, especially towards the end of the first set. His first serves were extremely reliable, with 71% points won from there.
And speaking of returns, the way he drove the rally near the end was something. While I remember the winners (and dropshots) galore coming from Sela as well, Uchida's variety of shots started to show itself, and sometimes, resulted into Sela's errors.
The second set can really be neater if fewer errors were made in a way. At the same time, I am curious if Sela can at least take this to three (because even I felt grateful when finally he could break someone's serve in the beginning of the first set). We will see!

Antifa, Puerto Rico, and minorities in a pluralist society
Antifa, Puerto Rico, and minorities in a pluralist society
A portmanteau post addressing Antifa, Puerto Rico and Mayor Cruz, and the problem of minorities who try to bend society to their will.
The items in this post bear no relationship to each other, unless you want to say that the first demonstrates how to undermine a civilized, pluralist society, while the second shows how a minority within that society is supposed to balance benefits and burdens.…

Roland Garros MS Q1: Bernabe Zapata Miralles def. Dudi Sela 6-3, 6-0 Match Stats
Tumblr media
📸 France TV
The second set was a bakery product (well, I'm happy watching this even if Sela could only hold his serve during the beginning of the first set!). Well, I have to commend Zapata Miralles for staying solid on his serve (and the returns, though, could force Sela... the UEs somehow). Sela had a chance to break, but well somehow those chances were at the cost of Zapata Miralles' errors that could not be capitalized.
But literally, stats could confirm what I saw (imagine, 96% 1st serve points won from Zapata Miralles! How? Pretty solid, right?). And two aces (he sealed a game with an ace once I remember).
(On another note, Sela, Wimby qualies with PR, maybe? 🤣 Or doubles (ahem)? Take this line as a joke I really am glad to see you play again now, personally, ngl).
Hmm, the encounter with Gastao Elias is next for Zapata Miralles, this could be really interesting 👀
