So while everyone is trying to get any discourse that isn't Apple related going, would this be a good time to mention I think Faybelle/Apple and Briar/Raven have more parallels than Apple/Briar and Faybelle/Raven? Or talk about the realtionship between Raven and Briar at all? Anybody here?

I just want to make it clear that I will be in the trenches for Amy Rose and I am begging Paramount to give her an explosive personality.

She is not the mother of the group who scolds the boys, if anything she's the one who makes the plans with Tails to make sure they don't get caught. She has spars with Knuckles. She is the little gremilin who is just as sarcastic as Sonic and causes trouble on purpose just like him. I want Amy to have agency in the narrative and for her to have a story beyond any male character, something that belongs solely to her while she's feminine and lovable and has a crush on Sonic because why not, we have evolved enough to know that a female character can be strong and feminine.

And most importantly... I want Amy to be crazy. Totally insane. I want her to be traumatized and flawed and kind and complex and temperamental and multifaceted just like the boys are. I want to see a wild and deep teenage girl on screen and I won't tolerate any hate if she is because fandons in general don't know how to deal with them.

I wanna a real girl on the movies and I refuse to settle for anything less.

I like how Invincible actually focuses on what it likes to be the mother of a hero (not just superheroes), usually that sort of thing is not analyzed on a deeper level.

Even tho a mother is the most important person for a child’s moral, emotional and intellectual development.

Forgive the Greek mythology brainrot but this is how Danaë and other mothers in mythology should be viewed, as complex people who loved their children and have a massive impact on what they become when they’re older. Most ancient writers did write them like this (most of their work lost *sigh*) but Modern retellings either fridge the mothers for more “drama” or the mothers are just eternally doting and loving with no personality of their own. Or in rare cases like Demeter they get villainized.

Yeah I’m never forgiving Immortals and Clash of the Titans for fridging Aithra and Danaë when the fact they’re alive for most of their sons lives was important for the story and characters. Imagine seeing these fascinating complex women and only viewing them as baby incubators and nothing more.

The funny part is that I will always find someone in the fandom that denies the sibling dynamic because B doesn't think of the caretaker as a parent. Buddy, B doesn't need to.

i’m sticking to relatively monochrome character palates for this, but because he’s actually alive he gets to have a not completely purple skin tone

i’ve been in design hell for literal *weeks* drafting and redrafting my lwj, wn, and wq designs because i love them but the -first time- i draw this guy his design is bestowed upon me by god /j and i get this in less than two hours!??

anyways… he’s really fun to draw even if i want to put him in a blender

- lotus petal shaped garments and layers

- similar sharp features (and build) to the Yu clan

- jiang motifs tend to be curved and flowy, so this contrast highlights his insecurity and discomfort with fulfilling the jiang ideals

- the repeated petal motif is pushed to be almost diamond like in order to emphasize the points and it’s seen in his face shape, nose bridge, hair (repeated), shoes, skirt layers, pants, and sleeves

- i imagine that he has a very similar face to mdm yu plus her eye color, physical sharpness, and height (cause i picture mdm yu as being a slight bit taller than jfm) but has his fathers nose, swimmers build, and coloration

Absolutely in love with the idea of movie shadow , and movie sonic mirroring each other in almost every way, instead of contrasting the other. Shadow being the most extreme version of Sonic, someone who once had the same dreams and beliefs, but lost everything, and lost the ability to keep his hopes and dreams alive. Sonic being the most light version of shadow, someone who kept his dreams and hopes alive , despite the loses, he still has everything. I hope in Sonic 3, Sonic and shadow have to fight the crushing weight knowing the they could’ve been each other.

Throwing this out there because it is only a half-coherent thought but one that I fully can not shake.

A Darklina AU for Steter would be spectacular. Mostly because the parallels between Aleksander and Peter hit me so damn hard all the time, I am truly rotating these two in my head so much together.

Peter as the ruthless general whose people have been hunted and killed simply for existing and being different from "normal" humans?

The Argents as the royal bloodline of Ravka, the oppressors, the killers, the enslavers.

Peter, who lost everything to them, including his kindness and gentleness. Who is willing to become the monster they want him to be.

Centuries on his own, plotting his revenge.

And then he finally finds the Sun Summoner. The Spark. And they're just... nothing like what Peter had anticipated. Fierce, passionate, cheeky. Perfect.

And for the first time, there is something he wants as much as his revenge. He wants this power and he wants that power at his side.
