The insights they offered reshaped my perspective, underscoring the need to deliver clear and concise messages. As I integrated their strategies into my own communication skills training, I found that a deep…

This is a weird year to have finally gotten a handle on my mental health with a treatment that works.
Because, on the one hand, I'm experiencing joy again for the first time in a while. I feel that my life has meaning, I'm enjoying the sunrise, I'm making art.
But then i check the news and it's all *gestures vaguely at the dumpster fire that is the world rn*
#dont get me wrong I'm feeling anguish about the shit that's happening#but it's manageable#im feeling less 'curl up in a ball and sob'#and more 'help organise queer community building events to try and strengthen our connections with one another'#10/10 would rather face this shitshow with effective medication and coping strategies that work#news#mental health#mental illness

Every once in a while I toy with the idea of making an account on a dating app for the express purpose of messing with people. Not like, catfishing or lying about being interested or anything, but more like, "Oh, you wanted to find a date? PSYCH!!! Here's 6,000 images of stingrays instead. Get stingrayed"
#I'm never gonna do it obviously#The very thought of making a tinder account makes me want to claw my skin off#But IF I ever did#I feel this strategy would be far more effective at communicating who I am as a person than any amount of small talk and flirting ever coul

it was very predictable knowing metal gear's general politics and storytelling by now but the twist in peace walker kind of made me laugh with how much it reads as "ok fuck we need to walk it back from making it seem like the communists are 500% the heroes here. well at least not the russian ones. whatever"
#txt#it's just funny that the way coldman acts is like. not even unrealistic for a CIA fucker. and then you have zadornov who's like#you believe in training effective guerilla soldiers for revolution? this pales in comparison to my strategy. of nuking cuba. and then#tries to nuke cuba. for communism. allegedly.#mgs#not finished with pw yet though just to be 100%

tw: child abuse, general
genuinely, if some parent says "well I got hit as a kid and I turned out just fine"
then trying to counter that by pointing out they hit their own kid is entirely ineffective. they're arguing that hitting their kid is not bad. telling them they take this action does not communicate the harm of it.
if you want to point out "well xyz, therefore you did not turn out fine", which i do think COULD be effective, you'll have to actually identify an action or behavior that would contradict what they want for themselves.
the struggle with this angle is that certain routes could lead into a really drawn out, complex, uncomfortable, or even scary conversation.
if you point out something like, their anger making their lives harder, then you'll inevitably have to point out how their actions are THE important factor and break their shield of denial that makes the situation "not their fault"
example:
your anger and tendency for violence makes your life harder because... it's preventing you from getting a promotion at work
no it doesn't, it's... my boss. he's a jerk and thinks I'm stupid. I know what I'm doing (maybe even: and he thinks nothing I do is right).
well yeah. it makes sense you'd be mad about that. but it sounds like the things you've told me about could go smoother if you ask what he's expecting with xyz projects. that way it's less work for you too since you don't end up having to redo it.
well I know what I'm doing. I'm entitled to be mad when he treats me like I'm stupid.
.
and going on about how their emotions are valid, but that the way its expressed makes it harder to change things that might make him less angry and feel heard.
it's not easy! if you want to talk to someone about something so deeply constructed into their core, and they're willing to talk, you have to be ready to keep going. you may not know what to expect, so make sure you brace yourself if you can.

How to Rapidly Achieve Marketing Success Without High Costs?

Act 1: The Challenge
Starting my own business was thrilling, but marketing posed a big challenge. High costs made traditional methods impossible. I needed an affordable solution. I asked myself, "Is there a way to market effectively without breaking the bank?"
Act 2: The Breakthrough
One day, I stumbled upon WhatsApp marketing. It was like a light bulb went off. I decided to dive into this untapped resource. The first step was building a contact list. I reached out to existing customers, encouraging them to join our WhatsApp group.
I shared exclusive updates, offers, and useful content. It was personal and direct.
Example: I sent a 20% discount coupon for first-time buyers.
Statistic: Engagement rates on WhatsApp were 70% higher than email.
The results were almost immediate. Customers appreciated the personal touch and prompt responses. Our small group grew rapidly.
Act 3: The Success
Over time, WhatsApp marketing became our main strategy. I used it to share success stories, answer FAQs, and even handle customer support. This direct line of communication built trust and loyalty.
Example: A customer testimonial shared via WhatsApp led to a 15% increase in referrals.
Statistic: Customer retention improved by 35% within six months.
The best part? It cost almost nothing. We saved on ads and reached our audience more effectively.
Conclusion
Using WhatsApp marketing, I achieved success without high costs. It's proof that creativity can outshine big budgets. How to improve?
