This led to a decline in sales for processed egg products meant for foodservice applications. However, demand from retail and home consumption rose as people stocked up essential food items. Processors focused on fulfilling rising demand from retail channels. As various regions entered multiple phases of lockdowns, supply chain disruptions impacted raw material procurement. Adhering to social distancing norms within processing facilities also posed operational challenges. With gradual lifting of lockdowns, foodservice demand is recovering. However, processors will have to closely monitor demand-supply trends amid ongoing virus risks of subsequent lockdown waves. Investing in advanced automation, developing flexible production strategies, and maintaining raw material stockpiles will help processors cope better in the future.

Dietary Supplements are One of the Fastest Growing Food Processing and Manufacturing End-Use Application Segments During the Forecast Period.
Processed egg products such as powders are increasingly being used in dietary supplements due to their rich nutritional profile and potential health benefits. According to the article provided by EurekAlert in September 2022, Malnutrition affects millions, especially children, in Africa. Egg powder could be a powerful tool to combat malnutrition in children, especially in areas where fresh eggs are scarce. While it lacks some essential fatty acids compared to fresh eggs, it packs a punch of vitamins, amino acids, and trace elements. Plus, it boasts a long shelf life, easy transport, and simple preparation, making it ideal for distribution in deprived areas. A study by the Leibniz Institute for Food Systems Biology confirms its potential, showing that adding egg powder equivalent to one egg daily can significantly reduce underweight and stunting in children. This research highlights the potential of egg powder as a readily available and effective dietary supplement for tackling malnutrition in vulnerable populations.

Sorry for asking but I am a cis male teenager (well, I thought I was.) but lately I have realized I think I might be a trans girl? I am very scared to drop my masculinity. How did you find out you were trans if that’s okay to ask?
Of course it's ok! I am always happy to help someone who is questioning their gender. However, this is actually a pretty loaded question, because while there is a lot of talk about "when my egg cracked" in trans circles, figuring out you're trans isn't always attributable to any one singular event. Some folks might crack through and emerge from their egg in one swift motion but that is not true for everyone, it certainly wasn't true for me. Sure I could tell about the moment the first crack in my shell appeared, but a single crack in the egg is a far cry from actually breaking out. For many it's a process that can involve a series of revelations and tends to require lots of self reflection and learning how to love yourself. So, there is no quick and easy answer for this. However, I think my story will have a number of different lessons relevant to your question.
Before getting into all that though, I feel I must point out that cisgender folks rarely ask themselves these kinds of questions and when they do entertain these thoughts it's brief and comes with very little agony. The fact you have gone so far as to reach out to trans woman for advice, the fact the you are clearly worried by the prospect of being trans, is a pretty clear indicator that you probably are trans. Regardless of whether you actually are transgender or not, I want you to know that either way, it's ok. You will be ok, no matter what conclusions you come to.
Now, the story of how I figured out I was trans. Bear in mind, the first “aha moment” was 20 yrs ago and things were very different back then. I was about 17yrs old at the time and the term transgender didn't have the currency then that it does now, there wasn't the robust set of terminology that we have today, there were far fewer resources to turn to, no social media, and the overall public opinion was significantly more hostile towards anything LGBT. Anyway, more below the cut.
I didn't follow the typical trans narrative of the time in the sense that, as a child I didn't really care about my clothes so long as my favorite cartoon characters were on 'em, I liked toys typically marketed towards boys, I looked like a boy and everyone referred to me as a boy. So I thought I was a boy. However, I do have a vague memory from early childhood, somewhere between the ages of 4-6, of sneaking into my mother’s room and stealing a pair of her satin underwear and trying it on (it surely would have been too big on me but I remember liking the texture of the fabric) and hiding it under my bed. This memory has since been confirmed during my adulthood by my brother who shared a room with me at the time and had apparently found the hidden stash.
From an early age I was explicitly shunted towards masculinity. I was regularly told to “stop acting like a girl,” and “quit crying like a girl,” and even at one point to “stop walking like a girl,” by my peers and one of my brothers. By the time I was a teenager I was doing my best to be as masculine as possible going so far as joining the highschool wrestling team, a sport that is as homophobic as it is homoerotic, and I hated every minute of it because being manly didn't feel natural to me (and it definitely didn't stop the bullying). It felt like I was trying to ice skate uphill. I fit in but only imperfectly for I was merely acting.
I was also very confused about my sexuality. I thought maybe I was gay or bisexual (turns out the latter) but that didn’t really explain what I was feeling. Around 17yrs old I got curious about transsexuals, thinking maybe the answers would be found there and hoped on to the early and oh so clunky internet. Now I knew of transsexuals conceptually but I didn't know anything about them. Sadly, pornography was really the only reliable way to actually see what a trans body looked like back then. I was stunned because the women I saw did not look at all the way I expected. I was blown away by how so many of them, genitalia aside, looked indistinguishable from cisgender women. And they were all absurdly beautiful. I felt an immediate attraction but there was something else I felt too, envy. And that realization was the first crack in my eggshell.
After that I couldn't get the thought of crossdressing out of my head. So, I dug through a box of my mother's old clothes and took a few items she no longer wore, an old white tennis skirt and a very very 70s sleeveless orange blouse. I was so comfortable in those clothes and when I looked at myself in the mirror I felt good, really good. So, I continued exploring, shaved off all of of my body hair, went to department stores that were open late at night to buy girl clothes (deathly afraid someone would recognize me), I would stay up late at night to watch HBO because at midnight they would occasionally air stuff about trans people, (I remember two documentary shorts in particular and the movie Soldier’s Girl) and I scoured the internet for more information. The internet search brought me to a website called TG list (at least I think that’s what it was called, this was 20yrs ago after all) which was a directory of resources ranging from The Breast Form Store (which still exists!), a myriad of gender identity quizzes (I took nearly every single one), and Susan’s Place.
Susan’s place was one of the few reliable places to hear from actual transgender adults. Unfortunately, while Susan's Place had a lot of useful information the forums there were full of horror stories, a never-ending supply of all the things those women had suffered. So needless to say, there was little to no positivity around transness to give me hope. I was afraid to call myself trans as a result, afraid of what it meant for my life, my future, and my physical safety (you have to remember that back then Mathew Shepard wasn’t old news, his tragedy was practically current events). So I called myself a crossdresser but for reasons I didn't understand at the time I deeply resented that label. I think deep down, no matter how much I tried to deny it and bury it, a part of knew I wanted to be a girl. So when I came out to my parents as a crossdresser and explicitly told them I wasn't trans, that I didn’t have any desire to transition to female, there was that lil voice at the back of my mind calling me a liar. That voice would follow me until my late 20s.
Coming out was a real struggle for me because not only did I think my life would literally be in jeopardy, I thought everyone would think I was making it up, having not followed the stereotypical models of transsexuality. When I came out to my parents they didn't disown me or anything but they were noticeably uncomfortable around me when I was in girl mode. At a certain point I needed their help (credit card) to buy a gaff for tucking and that was when my parents, out of a misguided desire to protect me, pushed me back into the egg. Because of their rejection I spent the rest of highschool and most of my college years trying to hold the egg together with even more denial and by doubling down on masculinity. While I did have some fun during my college years, on balance I was miserable and depressed. I chafed at my male costume and I knew I was lying to myself the entire time, and I hurt myself a great deal.
During my senior year of college I started privately dabbling with crossdressing again, the desire had been nagging at me incessantly. A short time after graduating I met my wife who accepted that side of me and she introduced me to the BDSM/kink community, and the overall culture of nonjudgmental acceptance there cracked the egg for good, because is provided spaces besides my own room where I felt safe being a girl. From that point on I slowly but surely came out of the egg, first calling myself a crossdresser, then genderfluid for awhile, then GENDA passed in NY making me an explicitly protected class and for the next 2 yrs I presented as a they/them genderqueer woman 100% full time without HRT (I was still reluctant to call myself a woman).
I wrestled a long time with the choice to go on HRT. Ultimately that was always a big stumbling block for me. Therapy had gotten me pretty far but I was still afraid of so much and was unsure I would be happy with the changes because my parents had initially rejected me as their daughter in very paternalistic fashion I struggled to trust my own instincts. I still struggle with that sometimes. Eventually, I befriended a trans woman in my neighborhood who pointed out HRT works very slowly and that it takes a long time for any permanent changes to take root. So, she suggested I give it a try and if it didn't feel right I could stop.
I was also taking gender identity quizzes again. Now most of these claim to be diagnostic and those ones a generally misogynistic garbage (they ask stupid questions like, “are you good at math?” and assign a gendered value to the answer) but I happened upon one that started with the disclaimer that it wasn't diagnostic and instead only offered questions that are good to think with. Two questions in particular were very helpful. The first asked, "If you could take a pill that would allow you to wake up tomorrow as a girl, would you take it?" My answer was a hesitant yes, but that yes was bolstered by the next question, "If you could take a pill that would allow you to wake up as a man, in your current body, but without any dysphoria or desires to be feminine, would you take it?" My answer was an emphatic no because that would have felt like killing an important part of myself off. I then at the age of 33yrs old started HRT and 4yrs in I am incredibly happy. That was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Now, I know that was a lot of fucking text to read but I wrote all of that because I know the prospect of maybe being a trans girl feels scary to you right now but I want to assure you that as daunting as it may seem there is so much about being a trans woman that is full of beauty and joy. I love my trans womanhood and despite the hardships, I wouldn’t give it up for anything. In fact the opposite is true. Knowing what I know now, I would give up almost everything in order to be a woman. So if you feel like you want to give girlhood a try, do it! You can take small incremental steps and you can always stop if it doesn’t feel right, either way you will gain a degree of self knowledge most cisgender people lack completely and that is absolutely priceless! Plus, unlike me when I was a teen, there’s all kinds of resources and information available to you now and an entire community of people ready to help you, and unlike the women in the forums from my past, we aren’t all gloom and doom.
As for your fear of giving up masculinity, don’t let that fear lure you into the denial trap like it did me. Denial is like quicksand, once you’re in it becomes hard to get out, the more you struggle the deeper in you go and it is so very suffocating. And the thing is, you actually don’t have to give it all up. Back when I was presenting full time as woman without HRT, I felt like I had to be ultra feminine all the time, full face of make-up, dress, heels, the whole nine yards. Now that I’m 4 yrs in with HRT I don’t feel that pressure anymore and have since reclaimed certain aspects of masculinity I actually liked. I sill like presenting high femme from time to time but these days I mostly rock a soft butch aesthetic, flannel/t-shirt, jeans and the only makeup I wear daily is just a lil bit of blush. At certain point you become comfortable and realize that gender is just a sandbox to play in and experiment. Masculine and Feminine are just concepts, they aren’t real! so regardless of being cis or trans, don’t let those mere concepts box you in! Just do what feels natural and right to you!
I hope all of that was helpful to you anon, and that at the very least you walk away from this knowing you don’t have to have all of the answers about yourself right now. Now, I don't no the particulars of your situation, so I’m happy to speak with you further if you have follow up questions, just send another anon.
Best of luck to you anon, I am rooting for you!
Big hugs,
Mother Calamity

I hate the when fans mischaracterize Elain as someone who is "weak and useless" when she's been someone who's always been brave and resourceful but it was hidden because her role as the marriage cattle was just to be pretty . I'd like to know your thoughts on this topic
Hi anon!
Oh my gosh, I love this question SO much and really appreciate you sending this! I have actually been mentally organizing some thoughts on the topic for a while, and this is the perfect opportunity to address them.
To take in a complete view of Elain, her role in the marriage market, the Inner Circle, and the role her specific brand of grooming will likely play in her future and book, I have found it fascinating to take a birds eye view of the grooming done to all of the Archeron sisters at the behest of Mama Archeron. The details of the roles and dynamics of each sister has played a huge role story-wise, plot-wise, and even romance-wise. I have no doubt the same will prove true for Elain, and in my opinion we have already seen what Elain's particular skillset is and how she can use it, despite the horrendous and unloving conditions in which she and her sisters developed them and the general lack of the fandom acknowledging them.
For Feyre, her theme is "bearing the burden," and she shares it with Rhys. I think of Clarke's "I bear it, so they don't have to" stance on leadership. Mamma Archeron gave the orders for Feyre to take care of her family (who knows why, jfc Mamma Archeron) and it influenced her skill-wise and psychologically. However, one of the most powerful and significant moments came into play when Feyre had to use her tracking abilities to find Rhys after he had been shot through with arrows and taken by Hybern. She single handedly saved the most powerful High Lord of Prythian and impacted the future of the world because she was able to track him. Romantically, their story moved forward after that show of her skillset, and the discovery of their mating bond came soon after.
Nesta of course, turned ballrooms into battlefields. She was her mother's creature. Thematically, she shares this with Cassian. While of course trope wise they are black cat and golden retriever and we love to simp over Himbo Cassian, he is a brilliant strategist and commander. They are the strategizers and the bulldozers. They enact physical and psychological warfare. I loved the scene when Cassian gifted Nesta the book The Dance of the Battle, and Nesta discovered how much she and Cassian actually could understand each other, and how similar their thought processes were:
Tumblr media
And that little easter egg- the dance of the battle, Nesta would use her training and dancing to enact finding allies amongst the enemies with her dance with Eris... I mean. Chills. And of course, her dance with Eris and offer of marriage played a role in the convo when Nesta and Cassian's mating bond snapped:
Tumblr media
Ultimately, Nesta was taught to use marriage as a weapon. And her court would have secured a powerful ally if she had married Eris. But love will never take a back seat. She both used her grooming, but also overcame it and moved beyond it. The grooming informs them, but no longer controls them.
Now, I love all the Archeron sisters, but let's put RESPECT on Elain's name. Elain provides what we call invisible labor. She was taught to do a *lot* more than just sit and look pretty. She takes charge. She organizes and executes and is action forward. She was just taught to do it privately. Elain shows her strength behind closed doors. Of course, being an Elriel, I believe she and Azriel are tied together thematically as well. Their work and labor for their court is done in secret, in the shadows. She showed us this in her first scene returning back to the page in ACOMAF:
Tumblr media
Elain takes control of the entire situation and lays out the plan on how to keep the secret of using the Archeron manor as the meeting place with the human queens to move the war and search for the Book of Breathings forward. She manages the house, the servants. She will step up and do what needs to be done, and she understands how to keep things behind the scenes.
She stabs the King of Hybern in the neck by sneaking up on him, stepping out of the shadows.
She surprises everyone on Solstice, privately working with healers and local vendors to provide the most thoughtful gifts for her family and friends:
Tumblr media
We see in ACOWAR how she already had plans to run and organize Lord Nolan and Grayson's manor, adding a woman's touch to it, but she also possessed all of the details of their defenses and war -readiness, things that were likely not expected of her, nor did Grayson likely even realize she knew or understood:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again, Elain is the one organizing and executing this plan. Glamoring Elain, bringing the other Fae to hide and obscure her scent, protecting the humans behind Grayson's barricade, all her ideas. She is smart. She is always aware of her surroundings. Time and time again, Sarah has shown us on page through her writing that Feyre and Nesta both misunderstood Elain. That they didn't realize that Elain saw and understood everything:
Tumblr media
Elain is the queen of invisible work. Of silent labor. She was groomed to run and organize a household, but stay quiet and in the background.
Elain is not, and has never been, useless. She has been smart, she has been brave, she has calculated moves that have saved lives. She does not cower. She does not hide.
But secrecy is her theme. Working in the shadows, in the background. Laying invisible ground work.
She doesn't have to prove her value in her book. She already is valuable. But we will come to understand how she was shaped by her grooming. And I believe there is very good reason to assume the themes of that grooming will play a huge role in her story and romance, as her sisters before her.
I have no doubt she will blow everyone away with her bravery, her intelligence, and stealth. And I for one cannot WAIT for it. If people want to continue to discredit and devalue her, it is frankly their loss. We already know who Elain Archeron is and what she can do.

It had been less than two weeks since the Langley farm welcomed the arrival of the chickens, and the children were still in the process of adjusting to their new feathered friends. Edwin had taken the time to instruct them on the proper care and handling of the chickens, and now Thomas had assumed the responsibility of tending to their needs. This included the daily tasks of collecting freshly laid eggs, maintaining the cleanliness of the coop they had meticulously constructed, and ensuring the chickens were well-fed and content.
One crisp morning, as the soft golden rays of dawn illuminated the farmyard, Robert approached Thomas, who was diligently occupied with the morning chores of feeding the chickens. "May I?" Robert whispered, tugging gently at the hem of Thomas's shirt.
Turning to acknowledge his younger brother, Thomas offered a nod of assent. "Of course." he replied, passing the basket used for egg collection to Robert. "Handle with care, they're still quite skittish" he advised, gesturing towards the interior of the coop. "See there? That's where they lay their eggs."
With a mixture of trepidation and excitement, Robert extended his hand into the coop, gingerly retrieving a still-warm egg. His eyes sparkled with delight as he proudly displayed his find to Thomas, who affectionately tousled his hair. "Well done!" Thomas praised, his smile reflecting Robert's infectious enthusiasm. "Why don't you take it to show Mum? Just be careful not to jostle the basket."

As Robert eagerly dashed off to share his discovery, Josephine, who had been observing the scene unfold, couldn't help but interject. "You two are quite the pair." she remarked, her voice tinged with amusement. Startled by her sudden presence, Thomas jumped slightly, momentarily caught off guard. "Goodness, you nearly gave me a heart attack." he chuckled, regaining his composure as he rose to his feet.
Apologizing sheepishly, Josephine flashed a bashful smile. "Sorry about that." she offered, her cheeks flushing. Thomas, quick to dispel any lingering tension, shook his head reassuringly, returning her smile with a warm grin.
Months had slipped by since Josephine first graced the Langley farm with her presence. Initially, both children had hidden behind veils of shyness, but with time, they unravelled their layers, finding comfort and camaraderie in each other's company. Their conversations flowed more freely now, punctuated by giggles and shared secrets. And on days when the workload on the farm lightened its grip, they would scamper off to join Bernard and Beatrice in their playful escapades.
Sometimes Wilhelmina sent Josephine to the village market to buy some ingredients she was missing, fabric for making clothes, or anything else, and she often asked Thomas to go with her to help carry things. Their journey to the market became a ritual of laughter and chatter, with Josephine's spirited banter dancing in the air like the autumn leaves swirling around them. Though Thomas remained oblivious to the fluttering of his own heart, Josephine, wise beyond her years, couldn't deny the warmth that bloomed within her whenever she stole a glance at him.
Yet, amid the tranquil rhythms of farm life, Josephine couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy when Thomas lavished his attention on the Ellis siblings, particularly Beatrice. It wasn't borne of malice or resentment but rather an unfamiliar sensation that stirred within her, an unspoken desire to be the sole recipient of Thomas's affections. These moments of envy were fleeting, quickly replaced by a renewed determination to win Thomas's attention, even if it meant wading through the murky waters of her own emotions.
However, Thomas remained oblivious to Josephine's silent yearnings and the fleeting shadows of jealousy that clouded her gaze. To him, she was simply a friend, a playmate amidst the vast expanse of the farmyard, and the complexities of romantic entanglements were as foreign to him as the distant constellations that adorned the night sky.

With winter on the cusp, the time for harvesting crops at Langley Farm had arrived. This transition would afford them more family time indoors, especially considering that Edwin's duties at Abernathy Farm would diminish with the onset of winter. His responsibilities would be confined to tending to the animals, with no need to oversee the crops until spring breathed life back into the fields.
On that particular day, they dedicated the entire morning at Langley Farm to basking in the gentle warmth of the sun while diligently filling basket after basket with the fruits of their labor. Edwin harbored the belief that the proceeds from selling a portion of their harvest would compensate for the recent expenditure on acquiring new chickens.
Amidst the chores, as Edwin diligently worked to unearth potatoes from the soil with a rake, Winifred bounded across the freshly tilled earth. "Josephine! Take Winifred away before she ruins the vegetables!" he called out, his voice carrying across the expanse of the field.
Wilhelmina, passing by on her way to the wash basin with a bundle of laundry, couldn't suppress a chuckle. "I wonder where these girls inherit their mischief from" Edwin pondered aloud, wiping the sweat from his brow with the back of his grimy hand.
Wilhelmina raised an eyebrow, regarding him with incredulity. "Edwin, they're spitting images of you when we were young." she remarked, prompting Edwin to shoot her a mock glare in response.

Opportunities:Cutting-edge technology enhances efficiency and market appeal in egg processing.
The integration of advanced automation technologies in egg production presents a significant opportunity for the industry's growth and efficiency. In Canada, where labor shortages and the transition to cage-free systems are driving forces, investments in automated packing, stacking, and palletization technologies are enhancing operational efficiency and egg quality. For instance, the adoption of automated packing and stacking equipment, such as Damtech's systems, streamlines egg collection and processing, reducing labor-intensive tasks and improving productivity. Additionally, innovations like the Ovoconcept palletizing robot at Rose Valley Colony exemplify how automation can significantly increase efficiency, with the ability to palletize 10,000 eggs in just 30 minutes. These technological advancements not only optimize operations but also improve egg quality and cleanliness, leading to fewer cracked and broken eggs. With potential return on investments as short as four to five years for equipment like the Ovoconcept robot, the adoption of automation offers a promising opportunity for egg processing companies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet evolving consumer demands.
Dietary Supplements are One of the fastest-growing Food Processing and Manufacturing End-Use Application Segments During the Forecast Period
Processed egg products, such as powders, are increasingly being used in dietary supplements due to their rich nutritional profile and potential health benefits.

Europe accounts for the second-most dominant position within the egg processing market throughout the forecast period.
According to the European Commission in 2023, the European Union (EU) has over 350 million laying hens, producing nearly 6.7 million tons of eggs annually. France, Germany, Spain, and Italy are the top producers, accounting for more than half the EU's production. Processed egg products are becoming increasingly popular in Europe, driven by growing consumer concerns about animal welfare and environmental impact are pushing egg processors to adopt more sustainable practices, such as sourcing eggs from cage-free hens and using recyclable packaging. However, adapting to evolving consumer preferences and addressing welfare concerns are the major factors contributing to the growth of the market.

"Angel," Alastair said, looking out the window of the bedroom he shared with Thomas Lightwood. "It's as though the heavens decided to unleash some cosmic punishment against all of London's residents."
Thomas wrapped his arms around his middle, and Alastair relaxed into the touch. "Cosmic punishment?" His voice was soft. "For what?"
After careful consideration, Alastair shrugged. "The ridiculous quantity of eggs that the denizens of this city use in a single day? The terrible trend of wearing decorative plumes in one's headwear? Who is to day?" He sighed and ran the hand that was not cupping Thomas's through his hair. "I am not looking forward to shoveling this behemoth of a snowfall. Is there any chance that you might do it all?"
Thomas kissed Alastair's ear. "No, we agreed to split such things, and even your wonderful nature cannot tempt me to take all of it upon myself. But as a sort of consolation prize, I will warm you up afterward."
Alastair chuckled. "Alright, I agree to your terms."
"But," Thomas continued, and Alastair could see his eyes shining in their reflection in the window. "I do wish to do something fun before we go down and begin toiling away at our much-dreaded task."
Alastair raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"
He tried to continue, but Thomas grabbed his hand and pulled him through the front door.
-
"I do not have very many kind things to say right now," Alastair sniped. "The only thing that will not make you chide me for my rudeness is that your thought process is unique. I don't know that I have ever ridden in a sled before outside of horrific events that I spent praying to the Angel would end."
"I didn't get to go sledding much as a child, either," Thomas said. "In case it would upset my fragile constitution. My parents preferred to keep me indoors during the cold weather; one year, Uncle Will took me to the market, and I caught a chill that convinced Mother that it was the end. It was not worth the anxiety it caused them, after that."
"Oh," was all Alastair could say. "Well, I suppose that I ought to indulge you, then. Attempt to keep an open mind as we embark on this new adventure together."
"Alright," Thomas said. "I think the first thing to do is sit in the sled." He paused. "You might wish to go first so I can settle in behind you; you are smaller, moosh-am, and I would not wish to take up so much space that you cannot squish in."
"Do not call me a little mouse again," Alastair said, settling into the sled. "I do not wish to become cross with you, Tom."
Thomas stuck out his tongue. "Well, I'm sorry about this, then."
"What are you apologizing for?" Alastair asked, before realizing belatedly that he had settled into a sled on the top of their hilly yard. His weight pressed the sled down the slope, and he was sent down to the bottom of the incline, cursing in Persian.
Thomas rolled down the hill after him, laughing. "I think that was quite a good lark," he said. "Though I will have you know that I am taking the next slide with you thoroughly nestled between my thighs."
"I am still not over this," Alastair said. "I may hold a grudge forever. I still may get you back for this."
"Alright," Thomas agreed. "I-"
But his response was too late. A lightly-thrown, soft snowball hit him in the face. He sputtered, but Alastair was already laughing.
