No one asked for this, but since I wanted to draw Pavel playing the guitar the topic of handedness came to mind because I usually use myself as reference for poses and I'm a left-handed guitarist so I genuinely don't even know how to hold a guitar the right-handed way and I was thinking should I make him left-handed or not?, and then my train of thought took off as it always does.

In conclusion, I like to think Dmitri and Alyosha are right-handed, Ivan is ambidextrous and Pavel is left-handed.

#these choices aren't random btw there are implications #also I love headcanoning characters as left-handed it's a very small and stupid thing but it's fun to me #Pavel could've either taken the strings out and put them back in in the right (actually left) (sorry I had to) order #which is how you turn a regular/right-handed classic guitar into a left-handed one #or he could've just flipped the guitar and played it upside down Hendrix style which would be very impressive #because it gets complicated with some chords and stuff #source: myself because when I started I played a right-handed classic guitar upside down #because I didn't know how to take the strings out/change them yet and it's almost impossible to find left-handed guitars #now I play a left-handed electric guitar because you can't play an electric guitar upside down #unless you're Hendrix of course but I'm not so yeah #rambling as usual sorry #the brothers karamazov #mine
