Two generations of queers in an apocalyptic world.
First love:
We can just be all poetic and shit and lose our minds together. - Riley
Last love:
I do not support this. I should be furious. But from an objective point of view… it’s incredibly romantic. - Frank
Love all the same.

Why does Naughty Dog insist on making Ellie's life a living nightmare? She never knew her parents, grew up during the apocalypse, never had a real childhood, her best friend and love interest was bitten, she was nearly raped, killed, and eaten by a cannibalistic p*dophile, her father figure was brutally murdered in front of her, a lot of her friends died, she lost her girlfriend and her surrogate son, and she lost two fingers and her ability to play the guitar—the only thing that connected her to Joel palpably. All of this before she's even turned 23.
Ellie deserved to be happy.

Me the entirety of episode seven when Ellie just spends the whole time looking at Riley with gay longing in her eyes:

You don’t know what it was like to have a family. To belong. I didn’t have them for long but I had them. I belonged to them. And I want that again.
