-plan to finish the Once Upon a Broken Heart trilogy

-want to go back to Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson (read only the first chapter then had to return to library). Think I’ll save for October though, it gave me October vibes.

-it’s high summer, which always makes me think of the sea, which makes me think of ships, which makes me think of pirates, so I think this series I’ve seen Daughter of the Pirate King is soon to be on my horizon

Finished The Lady Most Willing by Julia Quinn, Eloisa James, and Connie Brockway. I liked it more than the one before, better setting (Scottish Highlands!), better plot (kidnapped potential brides!), and all the couples were likable.

Catriona/Brett - hey, it was that one dry sarcastic guy from the other book! Good seeing you again dude

Fiona/Byron - my favorite of the couples, I think they actually had enough going on they could've had their own romantic novel. Fiona with her spectacles was my fave of the characters

Cecily/Robin - you know, romantic novellas revolve around "love at first sight" (not my fave trope but hey I can do willing suspension of disbelief if I know what genre I just picked up). But I did kinda appreciate that this couple didn't try to deny it like the others (who tried to play it off as "love at first meaningful conversation"). Nope, these two just accepted it was straight up love at first sight with all the inconvenience and improbability that meant
