As Franklin Roosevelt once said: “The only thing we have to fear is goblins. What’s with all these goblins?”

Episode 207: The Deduction that was Too Good
While riding piggy-back on Ran’s shoulders one night, Mouri overhears an argument in a nearby apartment. They’re then interrupted by an old man and his dog, who tells them this happens every night….don’t worry about it. The next morning, Takoyaki is found dead, stabbed. The police think his roommate did it. The roommate wants Mouri to prove his innocence. He proceeds to point out where all the evidence can be found, explain how the crime could have been committed, and to top it off, identifies the perfect suspect – his apparently really creepy professor, who’s actually just a nice old man they were planning to kill. Conan is able to prove that the roommate did it. And Azusa, from the café downstairs, is the prime witness.

New ED is great, especially this shot of Zoro. Peak Zoro behavior is begrudgingly tolerating animals crawling all over him (And by animals I mean Chopper and Luffy).

kaneshiro really wants the readers to understand how madly in love with each other nagi and reo are and its honestly suicide inducing im being completely serious. IF THEY WOULD JUST TALK!!!! (i know they eventually did but at what cost).....
also, we finally know what reo wanted to say but didnt (bc he thought nagi wouldnt come back to him) when nagi declared he was going ahead on his own and its the most romantic, yet encouraging thing ever nobody touch me

crying watching The Bear ep 207, Forks. (so, spoilers ahead) like. fuck. what??? the second time was such a wild experience. I forgot why Richie thought he was there???? 😭 what a poor fuckin idiot baby, I love him. the hard cut to him singing in the car, and then yelling, and seamlessly weaving the singing and yelling and finally getting to get some speed and taking a bump too hard... holy shit. SO real!!! I have had experiences just like that. driving is so fucking essential to emotional processing. and they just did it sooo sososososo well, I love it so much. anyway. my god. fucking Hattie from parenthood... she's so amazing. The Smudge. and the deep dish!!!! my mom and I were SO scared the first time we watched this episode, when he asked if he could take the plate, and then swung it behind his back, and then was standing around joking a little bit too long.... it was so fucking stressful, dude. I had no idea where the episode was going, what's Richie's trajectory was going to be, you know?? I figured there was a 50/50 chance he'd nail it or drop the plate and fuck everything up, maybe set something on fire? and I was STILL soooooo nervous watching this second time!!! which makes me think you're supposed to be nervous? at first, one this second watch, I was kinda thinking, like, 'wow we were being so mean, we didn't believe in him at all' but like, was there any reason why we should have believed in him? that was his Moment. his Prove It moment. and he proved it!!! he did so well!!! the amazing, calm, beautiful, organized lady complimented him!! twice!! she said don't be a stranger!! when she really didn't need to say that!! like, it wasn't just a nicety. I think she likes him. he has no idea obviously, but that's just part of his charm and patheticness (complimentary). aaahhhh and the part where he cleans up his kitchen island is just so dear to my heart. and the faces he makes in the mirror, I think just before that. just... the progression throughout the week, all the ways he changes and feelings he goes through and the ways that that manifests. cleaning his space, waking up earlier... I've never staged or worked in a kitchen but I think it's a really common experience of doing something challenging, novel, scary, in a new environment, all alone, and then making connections, seeing patterns in the work and figuring out how it's done, struggling and persevering, getting over your own insecurities, seeing things from a different perspective, starting to believe in yourself, meeting people and they *like* you, say nice things about you, give you advice... going from the super sluggish first morning to getting up early and doing work (tidying the kitchen) before going to work... it's the opposite what you expect. you expect to be more tired as the week goes on, but those experiences can be SO INVIGORATING.
