Danganronpa: Twisted Truths Side Story 1: Eri Yano

Today I have something a little special for you from the team of Twisted Truths. Whilst the art team have been hard at work on the assets needed for both the prologue and for the rest of the story, I wanted to write a few short stories to help introduces the characters involved in the world of Twisted Truths. These stories take place outside of the killing game, and are a way of giving people a little feel for the characters and the world that they inhabit. These stories are canon, but they are not "required content" to enjoy the series as a whole, just a little something extra to tide you over for the wait. I'm not sure about how many or how often these will release, but I do hope to bring you others in the future.

This first release is comprised of 4 chapters, of which I'll be releasing one a day every day this week until they are all out. A big thank you to GamingFennex and wcender for the proofreading to help smooth the edges, as well as the few others I contacted to read this blind. With that said, I hope you all enjoy!

                                                    ELIZABETH  SHOULDN'T  BE  SUPRISED  ERIS  NOTICED,  her  sister  notices  everything,  but  still,  it  takes  her  back  as  she  reagrds  her  sister,  the  concern  in  those  crystal  hues  as  she  stares  at  her.  She  hates  it,  hates  the  pit  that  it  causes  in  her  stomach,  like  she's  disappointing  her,  disappointing  everyone,  as  per  usual.  As  the  eldest  sibling,  it's  her  job  to  keep  her  sister  safe,  to  set  an  example,  to  teach  her  the  way  of  things,  of  time  travel,  the  do's  and  don't  of  the  universe.  When  to  cause  mischeif  and  when  to  stay  away;  instead  it  was  Eris  doing  these  things.  It  felt  as  though  Eris  looked  out  for  her,  humored  her  to  make  her  feel  better.  

                            She  loves  her  for  it.

            But  she  also  hates  her  for  it.  "  I'm  fine  'ris,  you  worry  too  much.  "  she  reassures  her  sister  softly,  using  her  nickname  for  her.  She  doesn't  want  her  to  worry,  pats  the  empty  space  next  to  her  on  the  grass.  "  There's  no  destroying  here,  only  stargazing,  spotting  the  constellations  see?  "  turns  her  head  to  the  side  and  smiles  gently.  "  Did  dad  ever  tell  you  there  was  a  man  in  the  moon?  "  she  snickers  softly  to  herself,  head  shaking.  "  He  tried  so  hard  to  be  convincing  yano?  Mom  just  laughed  at  him,  that's  how  I  knew  it  wasn't  real  because  she  had  that  smile,  the  one  she  has  when  he's  doing  something  ridiculous!  You  know  the  one.  "  It  was  one  of  her  happiest  memories  of  her  parents,  when  they  were  all  together  and  happy.  Eris  didn't  know  how  good  she'd  had  it  growing  up  in  comparison,  she  wasn't  about  to  point  it  out  either  because  it  doesn't  matter,  because  she's  glad  she  had  it  better.  She's  never  been  bitter  about  it.  All  she  wants  is  for  her  sister  to  be  happy.

Chiaki Kobayashi Joins Cast Of Original Anime Fanfare Of Adolescence

  The official social media accounts and official site for the forthcoming original anime production Fanfare of Adolescence have been updated with a new cast addition in Chiaki Kobayashi, who will play the role of 15-year-old horse racing otaku Kota Maki.

  He is described as a 15 year old student from Fukushima prefecture. "From an early age, my grandfather took me to the racetrack and from there I became a horse racing enthusiast." A bright and solid hard worker, he's an encyclopedic horse racing nerd who remembers all the results of major races in the past.

  Kobayashi has thie following to say about his character:

"Kota Maki who I play, is an honest and straightforward boy. I'm really looking forward to seeing how he works hard with his classmates and grows up in the special environment of a horse racing school."

  The Lay-duce-produced TV anime Fanfare of Adolescence is set to premiere in Japan in the spring of 2022. Makoto Kato (Bloom Into You) is attached to direct, alongside character designer Hiro Kanzaki (Oreimo, Eromanga Sensei novel illustrator).

PLOT

Mare is an elementary school student. She lives with her family in the city, but, right before her father goes bankrupt, they run away and settle down at a fishing village in Noto.

The family rents a couple's home who run a salt pond. Mare's father starts a new business, but it also fails. Her mother supports the family by working at the salt pond.

8 years later, Mare, about to graduate from high school, decides to work for the Wajima local government. She wants to have a steady job, unlike her father. Her job is to support people who move to Noto.

que esas vendrían siendo casi las más superficiales

me siento bien independiente a todo

porque escribí como forma de vomitar una pena supongo

y pensar que se me era difícil sacarlas de mi vida pa siempre

que este mecanismo de defensa de buscar añejarme un poco de nosotros

es porque me acerca más a terminar hablando solo de mi

que me acepte en mis dramas y no me reniegue a eso

aunque estuve a punto el 90% de las veces en que te pensaba

me sirvió encontrarme con cosas 

que me hicieran sentir pegada

e insuperda respecto a ti

y tampoco es que ahora no sea así

pero ahora pienso

en mi harto primero

y como me sentiria con eso

el de repetir el patron de quedarse siempre esperando

 estando pati

ya no te espero

aunque fantasee con eso

ya cambie de vereda 

(shurra me salió reguetonero eso)

y aunque me guste seguir pensando que estoy pati pa lo que necesites

saber sinceramente hace rato que no ha sido así

ninguna de ambos permimitp considerarase

quizá por miedo

ale uqe efectivamente no te necesitasen

o pena

orgullo

 de no querer dar el primer paso

pa no avergorzarse al darse cuenta de la primera teoria

y así es que es nomás

y es que así lo siento

pero esta bien

me he repetido oshimildocientas veces

esta bien hablar harto de ti si lo necesito

aunque sea solo conmigo misma

el esperar de que todo este n bandeja tal como siempre planeaste desde la casualidad de que aparezca tal cual  quisiste

y entender también porque no quería dar yo el primer paso

respetar los auto cuidados

como forma de no hacerse daño desde una misma

por que el hecho no va al que me haga daño hablar contigo

sino 

el sentirme colchón inquenbrantable

soportadora de penas 

 y puerta abierta pa caer siempre después de la fiesta

de emociones

y sentir que valis harto la pena

como pa ya no caer en esa actitud propia

 con las piedras en el zapato avanzando

por la idea de amor que me causai 

cual cristiana pensando el la meurte pa redimirse

ya no estoy ni ahí

de dejarme pasar penas gratuitas 

estoy pa cuidarme

y en esoesta el dejar de esperarte

de esperanzarme que es algo que puro que he buscado super en la vida

las desiciones propias son por algo

y es muy barsa de mi parte sentir que te equivocaste con nosotrxs

yo me equivoque caleta sí

eso me lo aseguré todas las veces que me sentí culpable

que no estaba haciendo bien las cosas

que no era suficiente nunca

que te buscaba mucho como amparo

que te quieria mucho como pa dejarte ir

y no es que no te quiera

pa quepo

si nunca ha dejado de ser así

pero me equivoque harto conmigo también 

y eso me corresponde ami noma´s repararlo

y desde ahí

dejar de pensarte como antídoto a todas las penas

brazos calientitos que me protegen de cualquier cosa
