Let's get this started. My name is Scott Hart and I'm about to reintroduce myself to a career I've been at for 25 years. Despite having decades of experience filming weddings, events, and producing media for various businesses, I had avoided being in the social media realm. I like...no, make that, I love one to one relationships. I previously enjoyed direct access to potential clients through event centers.
My own kids have grown up. At the point they would get married, I hoped to be far enough removed from having done weddings that I might enjoy the experience simply as a father. So, I scaled back my wedding efforts and focused on business marketing.
My own son got engaged a year ago and while I had largely disengaged from actively filming weddings, I still did some for legacy clients who had children hoping to use me and their photographer. I never really got out. Not really because of the residual clients, but because I still loved filming weddings.
I am a wedding photographer/videographer. There is no stepping away from your true passions. Despite my daughter and friends warning me to not be a "photographer" at my son's wedding, I still found a way to be actively involved by streaming the event to the bride's family in Australia. It was the best day ever. Their vows were amazing. Their actual photographer, long time coworker and friend Elizabeth Curtis, did amazing work and I enjoyed feeling marginally useful streaming the event for overseas family and friends who couldn't attend in person.

I want more! More wonderful experiences sharing in the love felt on the wedding day. That's the love between the couple and the love of family and friends towards the couple. The best way to feel young forever is to be in love every day. In love with someone, with what you do, in the process of learning and becoming.
So for me, I want to see and embrace the world put there. Not a select few. I want to know as many people and stories as possible. After 25 years, I'm just getting started!
