OKAY. Now that I'm home: Dragon Age questions Essentials 7 + 8, Life 3, 6, 10, Party 7, Codex 10 + 11 for all of them, and then whichever question you'd like to answer most for each of them from the game-specific sections. :3

Essentials: 7. How do they dress in their downtime, while fighting, in formal settings, etc.?

Cait Cousland: in her downtime, she's a basic shirt-and-breeches girl. low effort, easy to move in. she usually wears her Grey Warden armor while fighting, leather with a light metal breastplate and chainmail, and she also has basic leather armor for when she needs to appear unaffiliated. but she's still a noblewoman, and knows how to dress to impress; she has a collection of nice dresses for fancy needs (mostly blue or grey, the girl has a color palette and is sticking with it), as well as a few suits for when she prefers to be fancy but also wear pants.

Carah Amell: robes. robes, robes, robes for every occasion. comfy robes for downtime, fancy robes for formal settings, slightly-armored robes for combat that bear the Grey Warden insignia. there is a reason mages where robes and that reason is that they are comfortable as hell. her colors are green and blue

Evie Hawke: Evie likes to have fun with clothes. no real preference between pants and dresses, but she's definitely the type to wear sneakers with her formalwear or show up to the Hanged Man way overdressed for a card game. and she's a mage, so she doesn't differentiate much between "day clothes" and "fight clothes". her colors are red, black, and orange

Bran Trevelyan: despite the big hammer and androgynous name, Branwyn is the girliest of all of them. she wears heavy armor while fighting, though usually scalemail rather than full plate, for the sake of mobility, but outside of combat she loves a pretty dress or a velvet waistcoat. in game, she wears the Venture Capital variation. her colors are pink and white

Essentials: 8. Do they have any notable scars, markings, tattoos, etc.?

Cait is covered in scars, but the most significant are the one on her forehead (from the Landsmeet. Shield Bash sucks when you are on the receiving end), one below her left collarbone (darkspawn arrow, Ostagar), and a sort of Lichtenberg figure-like scar up her spine from the Archdemon (I headcanon that even though Morrigan's ritual kept the Wardens from dying, the Archdemon's death still left a physical mark on all the Wardens near it when it died)

Carah is a Spirit Healer, so she doesn't have many scars. the only one she really has is the same Archdemon one Cait has. but as far as "markings" go, what she lacks in scars she makes up for in freckles. just. so many

Evie has the same freckles as her cousin, as well as the same magical specialization, so she only has one major scar (well, two: an entrance wound and an exit wound. she got lightly stabbed by a certain Arishok. lightly). I feel like she has tattoos of some kind, but I've never really figured out what they are beyond the fact of their existence

Bran has a few scars on her face (one that crosses her right eye and another across the left side of her lips) that she got by taking a really stupid dare as a kid. she also has a nasty scar along her right hip and thigh from That One Fall when Corypheus attacks Haven. and, y'know, her left arm is amputated below the elbow post-Tresspasser. but considering that she's a career soldier, she has surprisingly few scars. she also has a tattoo that takes up most of her right bicep, it's a knotwork variation on the Trevelyan family crest, and has a series of green dots tattooed around her left eye that she got after she joined the Inquisition

Life: 3. How many languages do they speak? Do they have any sort of accent?

Cait speaks Ferelden, Common, and knows a tiny bit of Orlesian and Antivan, but that's really it. She has a pretty standard Ferelden accent, though it still gives away her noble background even though she hasn't been a noble for a decade now

Carah speaks Common, Ferelden, Orlesian, Ander, Antivan, Tevene, and a bit of Elvish. you've gotta find some way to occupy yourself in the Circle. she has what I call a "Circle accent" which is vaguely Ferelden in her case, but with bits of other accents picked up from other mages.

Evie speaks Common, Ferelden, Orlesian, and a little Tevene. Free Marches languages, essentially. she has a Ferelden accent, though it goes a bit Marcher after a decade in Kirkwall

Bran speaks Common, Ferelden, and Orlesian, and has a thick Marcher (Scottish) accent, like Sebastian's.

Life: 6. Which aspects of the culture they were born into holds the most significance for them?

Carah and Evie don't have much attachment to their birth cultures. Carah doesn't remember the Free Marches, and everything she knows about Ferelden she learned after she became a Warden. Evie has always lived expecting to either have to run away or get taken away when people find out she's a mage, so she never let herself get attached to Ferelden or its people much.

Cait and Bran are both very proud of where they're from. Cait shares her country's love of dogs and freedom and the stubborn prejudice against all things Orlesian, and she loves the rainy season even when it rains for two weeks nonstop. Bran shares the Marches love of independence, but specifically Ostwick seems to have a love of whimsy and drama that she shares.

Life: 10. Have they ever been seriously injured? What was the outcome?

I answered this for Cait here!

I don't think Carah's ever been seriously injured, actually. except for at Ostagar, of course.

The Arishok kicked Evie's ass. to this day, she still has no idea how she won that duel

Bran almost died escaping Corypheus's assault on Haven, and got pretty fucked up during both the mages' and templars' recruitment (yes, I headcanon that she recruited both. peace should have been an option, dammit. I think it would have been more interesting if both Samson and Calpernia were there as well)

Party: 7. How did their relationship progress? If they’re a canon romance option, is their story different from the way the game presents it?

Carah was smitten with Leliana from the moment she first saw her. there's no real drama or issues with them when it comes to romance, they just slowly fell in love while on a mission to save the world. wlw fairytale romance stuff, fluffy and sweet

I did all the DA2 romances with Evie, and I love all of them, but I think her canon romance is with Fenris. which was... rocky, to say the least. every time they tried to get together, something came in and tore them apart. but they never hid or shied away from how they felt, and they do eventually find their way to a happy ending

Bran and Blackwall are very flirtatious from the beginning. the most sexually charged, even more than Cait/Zev. she takes the whole Rainier reveal pretty calmly, all things considered, but Blackwall/Thom insists that they start over after the truth about him comes out. so Bran, lucky lady that she is, gets courted twice; once by Warden-Constable Gordan Blackwall and once by Thom Rainier

(I also ship Bran/Barris, but I haven't figured out many details about that other than THEY'D BE REALLY CUTE OKAY)

I put Cait last just because she has 3 "canon" romances and I can't pick which one I like best. her actual-in-game-canon-romance is Zevran, who she falls into bed with pretty much immediately. they fall in love much more slowly, and are even slower to admit it.

not-possible-in-game-romance #1 is Nathaniel Howe, who Cait was romantically involved with when they were teenagers until he went to the Free Marches. he comes home to find his home belongs to the Wardens, and the one in charge is his old girlfriend. childhood friends to lovers to enemies to friends to lovers

not-possible-in-game-romance #2 is Loghain Mac Tir, who Cait ends up befriending accidentally after she spares him at the Landsmeet. they have similar bleak practical outlooks on the world and get along surprisingly well, leading to a close friendship neither of them expected. it takes a long time to admit any romantic feelings, for lots of reasons (like the fact that they've tried to kill each other several times, and the huge age difference), but they get there eventually

Codex: 10. Are there any animals they have a particular love or hatred for?

Carah loves cats. and nugs. she and Leliana probably have a ridiculous amount of both

Evie is also a cat lover (and of course loves her mabari, Rex). hates deepstalkers so so so much. their faces are creepy and they sneak around in the dark and just... gross. no thanks

Bran specifically hates Lord Woolsley. bloody demon goat bastard.

Codex: 11. Do they have any interest in folk tales or folk songs?

Carah does! not just because her girlfriend's a bard, but she's always enjoyed poetry and songs and the stories people tell to explain the unexplainable

Cait has always liked war stories, or stories of great heroes. except the ones people started writing about her. could do with less of those

Evie knows a bawdy tavern song or two but beyond that her favorite stories are always Varric's

Bran also likes Varric's stories, and Maryden's songs, but she's recently gained a particular appreciation for "less popular" stories about famous heroes. not the stories of the grand things they did, but stories of little things. the day to day lives of people before they became famous.

AND THEN, for a specific question for each of them:

Cait Cousland:

Origins: 17. What did they think of Anora? How did they feel about her betraying them?

Cait adores Anora. she's shrewd and intelligent and a good queen, who understands the balance she has to maintain between what the people want and what the country needs. the two of them become good friends

and Anora didn't betray Cait at the Landsmeet. Cait followed through on the promises she made Anora, and Anora returned the favor. funny how that works

Carah Amell:

Origins: 13. Did they help protect Redcliffe? What happened to Connor? How did they deal with Jowan?

look, you know I had to do the Jowan question 😁

Carah protected Redcliffe, and managed to keep everyone alive overnight. for Connor, she brought in mages from the Circle, and went into the Fade herself to get him un-possessed

for Jowan, I go a little off-canon. she convinces him to leave while she deals with the Connor situation (because she doesn't want the Circle getting their hands on him), and then they meet up again later and he travels with the party for a while. he's her oldest and best friend, and she's going to protect him dammit

Evie Hawke:

DA2: 5. What was their remaining sibling’s fate?

Carver became a Grey Warden, and he and Cait become besties (after a bit of an initial personality clash). he also, once he has time to grow up outside of his big sister's shadow, becomes a great leader in his own right, and mends his relationship with Evie

bonus, DA2: 12. How did they feel about becoming the Champion of Kirkwall?

Bran Trevelyan:

Inquisition: 4. Do they approach the Mages or the Templars for help? Did they conscript or ally themselves with their respective faction? How do they feel about their rival (Calpernia or Samson)?

as I said, I headcanon that she was able to ally with both factions and then literally sits down with Fiona, Barris, and her advisors (and maybe Cassandra and her sister Moira, who is a mage and part of her inner circle) and forces them to have an adult conversation and reach an actual compromise

but in-game, Bran sides with the templars. while I personally think the mages are the "right" side, I like the templar quest better, and I find Calpernia and Barris more compelling characters than Fiona and Samson. she choses to ally with them, not conscript them, and she understands Calpernia's motivations and sympathizes with her. they manage to part of peaceful terms, and I like to think maybe become penpals someday after Calpernia returns to Tevinter

and also Inquisition: 8. What did their Nightmare appear as in the Fade? What was on their gravestone?

The Nightmare: Branwyn... the leader of the Inquisition. Herald of Andraste. Do you think this will finally get your parents to notice you? They haven't even realized you're gone...

Gen is the older sister to Rosalind Amell of Kinloch Hold, one of Revka’s five mage children. (This whole thing came from me fleshing out Ros’s backstory, making Gen, and then getting hit by the thought of “wouldn’t it be funny if she ended up Inquisitor”.) She was sent to the Ostwick Circle, where she befriended and eventually fell in love with Evelyn Trevelyan. They considered themselves married, though as mages it was never officialized

During the rebellion, however, they found themselves on opposite sides: Gen with the loyal mages, Evie with the rebels. They were separated when the tower fell and planned to reunite and try to work things out at the Conclave…and you can guess how that worked out

So Gen is starting out mourning and deeply conflicted about her place in all of this, which sucks for her but is fun for me!

So....I have lurked on this fandom for awhile and I have no traction here, I know.

But the person I used to play these games with, share all my lore with passed away recently and I don't want these OCS to belong just to me. They've never belonged just to me.

Dragon Age:

-Surana : My main warden for dragon age origins, a young elven woman taken to the circle so young she couldn't even remember her name, and had to be named by one of her friends. Was recruited by Duncan into the Grey Wardens in 9:30 Dragon, leading into a domino effect of her and her senior Grey Warden, Alistair Therrin, to be the sole surviving Ferelden Wardens during the Fifth Blight. Died committing the Ultimate Sacrifice.

-Allyn Hawke : My main hawke, a mage and eldest child of the runaway noble Leandra Amell and her apostate lover and eventual husband, Malcolm Hawke. A very depressed woman due to the events of her life, and currently living on the run with her lover Fenris after the destruction of the Kirkwall Chantry.

Evie Trevelyan : The elf blooded child born from an affair, and sent away to the Circle by her mother's noble family as quickly as possible, happy to be rid of her. Becoming the Inquisitor causes her identity issues to increase to a horrific degree, and she drinks from the Well of Sorrows out of desperation to both have a connection to her and her father's people, and feel like she made her own choice for once.

Katla Brosca : My other Grey Warden, the younger child of Kalah Brosca. In the au she is recruited instead of, or with, Surana, she helps bring end the Fifth Blight, and does the Dark Ritual with Morrigan herself. Her efforts have her declared a living paragon of Orzammar, a title she happily uses to take in other casteless into her House.

Leann Amell : The eldest of five, Leann was the first child of Revka Amell's children to be taken away by the Chantry. She was friends with Surana and Jowan when they were young, all arriving in the Circle around the same time, and even named Surana when the child revealed she could not remember her name. Leann committed suicide in 9:25 Dragon, and her death had a deeply profound effect on the friends she left behind. Surana wears her hairpins as a memento.

Pathfinder:

Layla : A dhampir bard who fled to the worldwound in a desperate attempt to shake off the people sent by her cousin to capture her, only to end up being fucked over by that decision as well. Struggles between giving into her growing embitterment, and with holding onto her optimism the world seems keen to take from her. Azata Path to Legend. -Her pintrest board -Her spotify -Her fake TV Tropes page

Sigrid: A emphyral sorcerer born in the time before the Worldwound was opened, and childhood friends with Areelu's child. After their death, she aided Areelu in opening the Worldwound in grief of her friend's death and anger at the culture that would both prosecuted her for her magic and would kill her friend over it.

Eventually she committed to using herself as the vessel to bring back her friend, but the process fails, leaving her falling onto an aeon as a guiding figure and undoing everything she and Areelu did, unable to host her friend's soul and regretful for what they had done. True Aeon path.

Dungeons and Dragons:

Aurora : A fey creature called a snow maiden, cursed by the Hag Mother to turn into a hag herself if she were to ever to kiss someone, but also to be consumed by loneliness regardless.

Gwynnever Calear : Seemingly a sea elven young woman who is the niece to the ruling King of Azuri. She made friends with people in very dark places, but carries more secrets than one would assume. If you would like to know her whole deal, here's a very long post I made about it.

Balaerra : A half elven drow who grew up on the streets. Desperate never to feel so powerless again, she studied magic feverously, but her desperation may very well lead her to her own ruin. - Spotify -Info

Dawn: An aasimar with no memory of who she is, a muddled mind, and a lot of unexplained bloodlust. My other Baldur's Gate 3 ocs, made for a dark urge run. - Spotify

Giselle: A young woman who was on her way to meet her fiancee when she ended up being taken by the mist. My second Curse of Strahd player character, she is a shadow sorcerer.

Adelaide Oftedahl : From a now dead dnd campaign, she was a noble woman of a country called Agdar, forced to join the Queen's special task force. Came from an abusive home and was not well adjusted because of it, but did manage to romance and change one of the first villains in the campaign, so good for her.

Vee ikinci sene. Öğrenci evi, açıkçası çok güzeldi, aile evi sıcaklığında. Her akşam yemeğinde kalabalık bir sofra. Bölüme Matematik kulübü kurmuştu. Ve evimizin ismi Alfa House idi. Bölümdeki herkesin evi gibi. Bölüm başkanından, tüm öğrencilere. Açıkçası söylemem gerekirse dördüncü sınıftaki erkekleri görünce korkmuştum. Hepsinin saçı dökülmüş, sakalları yeşermiş. Kendi adıma kaygılanmıştım. Sonuçta köse, bebek yüzlü masum bir piç gibi görünüyordum. Neyse ki korktuğum gibi olmadı ( hala öyleyim ). İkinci sene, bol bol sosyal etkinlik ve dersler üzerine dengeli bir hayatım vardı. Çocuk Esirgeme kurumunda gönüllü olarak ders veriyorduk, bölümce. Spor, yüzme havuzu, sauna, piknik, seyehat, hayatımın ilk cinsel tecrübesi. Genel olarak verimli bir seneydi diyebilirim.

Kendimce iki adet bakışaçısı kazandım veyahut geliştirdim. Tamamen kişisel.

İlk kısım eğitimle alakalı idi.

Bu bakışaçımda kurumda yaşadığım bir olayın etkisi var. İki adet kız öğrencim vardı biri 6. diğeri 7. sınıfa gidiyor. 6. sınıfa giden kız bana aşık, bildiğin cilveleşiyoruz ve çok utangaç, sürekli kaçıyor, kovalıyorum durumu. Bir dersten çıktım, kısa kolluyum. Sağanak yağmur var, yağmurda yürümeyi seviyorum. Tam adım atacaktım binanın dışına. Kızlar geldi, öğrencilerim. 6. sınıfa giden kızın ağzından çıkan cümleler şöyleydi, ' Emir abi, şimdi gitme, gidersen hasta olursun seni haftaya göremem. ' Ben orada kendimde olmayan bir kilidi o küçük kızın cümleleriyle buldum. Akabinde şu şekilde bir mantık geliştirdim. Öncelikli olarak insan yetiştiriyoruz, bir vizyon bakış açısı, bir birey, bunun bir karşılığı olamaz maddi olarak. Ve ülkemizde üniversite mezunu olmayana amele, işçi, emekçi, vasıfsız olarak bakılıyor. Ve bir insanın üniversite okuması için matematik zorunlu tutuluyor. Bence bu yaşamak için su içmek zorunluluğu gibi bir ihtiyaç. Temel bir bilim sonuçta. Ve insanların zorunlulukları üzerinden para kazanmayacağıma bunu etik bulmadığıma kanaat getirdim. Sonrasında da bu düşüncem halen değişmedi. Özel dersler verdim ve karşılığında ailenin mahcup olmaması adına, atıyorum bir akşam yemeğini onlarla yemek, babası tütüncü olandan, tütün gibi şeyler.

İkinci kısım cinsellikle alakalı.

Açıkçası evlendiğim kadın dışında kimseyle gereksiz bir etkileşimde bulunmak istemiyordum o yaşıma kadar ve bunu muhazafa ediyordum. Benim için kutsal sayılabilecek bir yerdeydi cinsellik, anlam yüklüydü. Sonrasında namus, şeref gibi büyük kelimelerin insanın bir organına ithaf edilmemesi gerektiğini, cinselliğin sağlık ve gelecekteki parknerine kendini hazırlama kısmını, bunun duygusallıkla değil, şehvet ve arzu ilede yapılabileğini ve bunların tamamen kişisel tercih olduğunu kafama oturttum ve mantığımda yer etti, ve kendimi kirletilmişte hissetmiyordum. O yüzden cinselliğe karşı bakış açımda değişti.

6. Do you have your Rook(s) planned out to any degree? If so, would you share some details or ideas you have?

no specifics yet, except they'll probably be a mage. especially if they give me a Battlemage/Arcane Warrior/Knight-Enchanter type spec again, I love those so much probably human? that'll depend on the CC and how many voice options we have, though. I love elves, but being the only non-Welsh-accented elf always breaks my immersion really badly, so if they give me a Welsh VA I'll most likely be an elf (if they'd let me be a dwarf mage, I'd jump at the chance, but that's not very likely ;)) I know they'll either be female or nonbinary :3 I'm excited by the prospect of playing an enby character in a Dragon Age game, but I tend to gravitate to female characters even in other games that let me be nonbinary, so I'm not sure which I'll end up doing yet in my Oops! All Mages! worldstate, Carah Amell, Evie Hawke, and Moira Trevelyan are all kinda... sweet and gentle, so I like the idea of Rook being someone feistier. a little bit punk, a little anarchist, y'know. A Shadow Dragon or Lord of Fortune, maybe? Veil Jumpers sound fun too no names yet. since Rook's last name is set based on faction and possibly race, I'll be waiting to name them until I know what their last name is

7. Which character from the previous games or other media are you most hoping will make an appearance in DAV?

Carver or Bethany Hawke! Fenris! Merrill! Any of the DA2 crew besides Varric, really. I don't trust them to treat Sebastian with any respect, so as much as I love him, I'd prefer they stay away from him tbh, but Merrill and Fenris have so many potential links to the plot, I'm gonna be disappointed if they don't at least have a cameo

10. Which location are you most excited/hoping to explore in-game?

I'd love to see Weisshaupt and the Anderfels. And also Rivain. And Minrathous had a really cool cyberpunk vibe, I look forward to spending a little more time there. It would also be cool to see some of the other Free Marches city-states! There's so many interesting places in Thedas that we haven't seen yet, and I want to explore all of them. Just... less desert zones this time, I hope

DA questions #4, 10, 17, 20, 30 for Trinne/Evi/Levyn's worldstate please?

4. What would they think about each other’s love interests (if they romanced someone of course)

/snort, oh this’ll be fun. :D :D :D   Trinne romanced Alistair(who stayed a Warden in this worldstate, so they’re still together). Evi rival-romanced Anders(who is now dead), and Levyn romanced Josephine.

Evi and Levyn both like Alistair quite a bit(Levyn is heavily influenced in this by the “you make my best friend happy and clearly love her more than life itself” factor). He’s a good guy with a sense of humor and drive to do the right thing. Also, really good in a fight.

Trinne and Levyn’s feelings on Anders are complicated for several reasons. Aside from having known him back at the Circle(and then again as a Warden for Trinne) before the whole merging-with-Justice thing, he’s Trinne’s ex. They were on-again off-again for a few years in her teens, he was both her first boyfriend AND the first guy to make her cry bc he’s the one who ended things(Jowan offered to light his hair on fire for her, which Trinne turned down, but it did make her giggle). After that point they were... cordial, but never really close any more, and with what details they hear about Kirkwall, we get the complicated feelings. They both agree change was needed, but don’t appreciate said change being sparked in a way that’s likely to bias average people ever further against mages.

Trinne would like Josephine in the “yeah, you’re a good match for my bff and make him happy” sense, but they don’t have a lot in common so I don’t think they’d get super close on a personal level.  She’d be really impressed by Josie’s diplomatic prowess and negotiating skills, though. Evi’s a very blunt, direct kind of person with a lot of anger issues she doesn’t really try to hide, so she thinks Josephine’s nice, but doesn’t necessarily mean that as a compliment and rolls her eyes at the “Diplomacy” thing.

10. Do your protagonists share the same opinions on the Chantry?

No. Trinne and Levyn have some respect for the foundation upon which it’s built(both subscribe whole-heartedly to the Andraste-was-a-mage theory, though, bc that’s just delicious), and admire and appreciate the individual members who truly have a heart for helping people(Trinne likes Leliana and Levyn is incredibly grateful for Mother Giselle). BUT the organization as a whole has become too powerful and misuses that power and needs some serious change. Evi, on the other hand, is practically a Chantry apologist. 

17. If Origins and Inquisition had the 3 personalities (Diplomatic, Sarcastic, Aggressive) which would your warden and inquisitor have predominately been? And what one did your Hawke have?

Trinne would be predominantly sarcastic. Like, 70% sarcastic, 20% aggressive, 10% diplomatic.

Evi was pretty much full-on aggressive from the word go

Levyn would be 95% diplomatic, with the other 5% be the occasional out of the blue(hah) deadpan sarcastic comment that makes everyone double-take bc he’s usually so serious 

20. Who handles responsibility the best? And who handles it the worst?

Shockingly, Trinne handles it the best. She has a bit of a learning curve to handle being in charge without getting heavy-handed about it(and it’s a longer curve in this worldstate with no Harvey bc he’s a surprisingly big influence on her considering they start OWaP not liking each other very much)

Levyn handles it the worst. He’s pretty much constantly stressing under a thin veneer of calm for a biiiig chunk of the game. It takes until he’s Inquisitor for him to even consider that maybe he can do this, and his self-worth issues make it take even longer for him to actually believe that.

30. Out of your Warden, Hawke, and Inquisitor, who is your favourite?

.....oh no, I played myself. I have to choose between Trinne and Jowan.

Okuduğum kitaptan ya da filmden bundan daha hayırlı bir şey yapmalıyım düşüncesiyle vazgeçiyorum bazen. Ya daha hayırlı gördüğüme adım atıyorum gerisi gelmiyor ya da adım bile atamıyorum. Vazgeçtiğimle ortada kalıyorum. Hayat zevk vermiyor. Sanırım ben nasıl imanlı olurum bunu nasıl koruyabilirim ve bunu uçlarda değil olması gereken düzeyde yaşamayı bilmiyorum. Hani bir gün efendimiz aleyhisselamın yanına sahabisi geliyordu da tüm günleri oruçla tüm geceleri namazla geçirmek istediğini söylüyordu Efendimiz aleyhisselam bunu duyunca hayatı boyunca buna güç yetiremeyeceğini söyleyip bu halden men edip bazen oruç tut bazen ye bazen (nafile) namaz kıl, bazen uyu deyip onu daha orta halli daha dengeli amellere yönlendiriyordu.

Osman Nuri Hocanın dediği gibi: "Kısa sürecek bir heyecan dalgasından daha hayırlısı şudur; sâkin bir devamlılık.” Bizim tutmamız gereken ritim de budur sakin bir devamlılık ve daha üstü için kalbi bir meyille birlikte gayret.

Amellerimizde dengeyi gözetip bünyemizi alıştırarak ilerleyeceğiz ama bunun yanında mümin ferasetlidir, basiretlice ve akıllıca iş yapar. Efendimiz aleyhisselam müminin niyeti amelinden üstündür buyuruyor. Rabbimiz bize niyetlerimizden dahi kazandırıyor. O yüzden bizim meleke haline getirmemiz gereken esas kaide şudur; en küçüğünden en büyüğüne her ne iş yaparsak hepsini Allah için yapmak." İlahi ente maksudi ve rızake matlubi." Lütfen bu sözü araştırın. Bunu kendinize motto haline getirin. Gün içinde yaptığınız her işin başına bu niyeti ekleyin ki yaptığınız her iş Allah için olup rıza yolunda adıma dönüşsün. Mesela tasavvuf islamı en güzel şekilde yaşamayı hedefleyen bir yoldur. Yine size araştırmanız için bir başlık daha söyleyeceğim yolun esaslarını özetleyen "Kelimatı Kudsiyye." Mesela onlardan biri "Huş der dem", diye geçer. Manası; Kişinin kendini her an Allah'ın huzurunda bilmesi, aklından Allah'ı çıkarmaması kalpte bu hali yakalamak. Yine bi tanesi "Yadkerd" yani kalbin zikir halinde olması. Misal elinde kitap olur ama kalbinde Allah, elin evi süpürüyordur, elin yemek yahut her hangi bir işi yapıyordur ama kalbin o an Allah ile meşguldür Allah'ı anıp zikrediyordur. Yine bi başkası "halvet der encümen" yani halk içinde hak ile olmak. Abdülhalık Gücdevani Hazretlerinin bununla ilgili bir anısı vardı şöyle diyordu mübarek; "Ben Kabe-i Muazzama'da iken iki şeye hayret ettim. Hacının birisi Kabe'nin örtüsüne yapışmıştı ama kalbi, kendi sevdası olan dünya muhabbeti ile doluydu. Yine çarşıda alış-veriş yapan bir tüccar görmüştüm. Kumaşla, para ile o kadar meşgul olmasına rağmen kalbi, bir an bile Allahu Teâla'dan gafil olmadı."

İşte bizim esas ulaşmamız gereken noktalar bunlar olsa gerek. Şeytandan bahsettik bitmedi bir de nefsin hileleri var çok amel mi işledin bu kez de nefsin o amelle kabarıp büyüklenmesi var yahut işleyemedin yine nefsin bunu kendine yakıştıramadığından benlik için amele yönelmesi var. Yani var da var yolda çok tehlikeler var. O yüzden asıl gayemiz nefsi terbiye olmalıdır ki kalbimiz kalp hastalıklarından kurtulsun, amellerimizin niyetleri sahihleşsin. Allah kalplerimizi razı olduğu hallerle hallendirsin. Duanızı beklerim 💫

İnsan, daima yarımdır. Arzu ve hevesler diyârının yarımıdır. Beden ve ruh, ne kadar uğraşsan da asla bir tam etmez. Gönlün umduğunu beden yetim bırakırken, bedenin umduğuna; gönül sırt döner gider. Bütün hayat "koşturmaca" adı altında geçer. Biz ise sadece izler kalırız. İnsana ne kadar yaşam hakkı verilse de İsmet Özel'in dediği gibi yaşamak suçu kalır üzerinde. Her yaşayan, suçuna talip olur. Başına gelen ne varsa, kendindendir. Nefes alıp vermenin suçunu, amelinde taşır insan. Alamam dediğini alır. Dökerim dediğini taşır. Döner üstüne kendine şaşırır. Taşları ördüğü gibi amel evi inşa eder insan. Nefes alıp vermekle ömür bitmez. Tüten acılar, başından gitmez. Vücut ısısı 37 derece diyen tabiplere sorsan, anlatamaz yüreğinin neden üşüdüğünü. Kar dışarı dökülse de içten neden donduğunu bilemezler. Tam olmak için dünyanın peşinden koşar insan. Yetişemediğine iç çekerek vazgeçer. Gün gelir kovaladığı ne varsa, kaçar hale gelir. Hatta öyle bir zamana tabi olur ki koştuğu verildiğinde bu kez o kaçar. Arzusu zamana yenilendir insanoğlu. Sessiz gazellerin sesini, gönül verirse duyar. Sarı çiçeğe sorular sorup cevap alır. Bir yarım ruh ve bir yarım bedendir insan. Ama asla iki yarımın bir tam olamadığıdır. Ve hep o yarım tarafına aşk, muhabbet besler. Gözümüzün kendini görmediği de bundandır. Eldekine, hududundakine kördür insan. Kendini bile göremezken eksik tarafına divanedir..
