"Fan of fiction podcasts" is not the funniest trait you can give a fiction podcast character but I do think it's in the top ten. Top twenty at the very least.

Nine Inch Nails songs are either provoking religion or inherently horny, and I respect that

Characters who you’d think would be assholes but are actually goofy bleeding hearts have my heart and soul.

i think i need to write out my thoughts on the “us versus all of them” character dynamic that lives in my head 24/7.
Like the “fuck everyone but me and you, only us, i will forgive anything that you do, you know me inside and out and i will excuse anything if it means staying by your side” dynamic. Doesn’t matter if it’s platonic, familial, romantic— anything, as long as it’s THEM verses everyone else.

i love you, characters who have the explicit purpose of representing entire concepts in the narrative. i love you, characters bigger than themselves. i love you allegorical characters. i love you characters so wrapped in metaphor and the creator philosophizing through you it eclipses you as a "person," i love you characters who haunt the narrative long after you're gone. i love you characters who are doomed because the thing that they represent are doomed. i love you characters who are more lesson then character.

turns out there is a genre of Guy™️ that no matter the circumstance, i immediately fall madly in love with (not in a /r way [i think]) and it's:
So Committed To The Bit That No One Can Tell If They're Serious Or Not

Please know that if I ever have a back and forth convo with you (whether it be reblogs or comments or other) that afterwards, I say to myself and my non-existent audience “guys is this friendship??”

As might have been apparent I've been reading a lot of a certain type of comic and I have noticed quite a few have included isekai without it (as far as I can tell) really being important for the plot.
Which has got me thinking that it's serving another purpose, maybe making the story somewhat self-insertable or "this could happen to you!" for the audience?

Tbh its soooooo much easier to give minor characters deep emotional stories. Or just characters I don't fully remember lol- Poltertoast
I completely get this, i do it all the time
(Holds my gaggle of adopted minor characters) they mean the world to me and there are So many of them

Coming onto Tumblr after being in the enstars fandom for a while but on other platforms was like. An instant feeling of relief. I may just be lucky with this but I have yet to see any of the enstars discourse I see basically daily on other sites on here. I feel like I'm jinxing myself a bit and that I will start seeing that but I sure hope not

People who are so nice and just a bit sassy for flavor who never get mad, only disappointed. Except they are also the kind of person that just fundamentally doesn't care about others unless they a) get attached to a person or b) find someone useful. Like, of course they're nice! Why shouldn't they be? Life is so much easier and more pleasant that way after all. But if someone they don't care about is being annoying, they have zero problems twisting things to make that person's life harder.
what charaxter archetypes do you keep writing into your characters that surely say nothing about your mental state. i keep making little guys who have trouble viewing themselves as a full person and instead just fixate on the role they expect others to expect them to play.

i’ve said this before and i’ll say it again. why do some people feel the need to make everyone know that they dislike/hate something.
like if you don’t like something just simply,,,, don’t interact with it or talk about it because it may not be your thing but it’s someone else’s thing. and it sucks to see people hating on things that you like and that bring you joy.
(i also find it’s often things that young girls & women like that are loudly hated on by others but that’s a different conversation that we’ve been having for years and nothing is changing)
