YIPPIEEEE YIPPIEEE THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR THE QUESTION!!

okay so first my pride and joy, zenji, has a cannonball quirk allowing her to act as a human cannonball (LIKE FROM THE CIRCUS!!) and can propel herself with the same force without the use of a cannon!! she can also propel smaller objects with the same force! she's my favorite 🌝.

my second is bannon, who has a unicorn quirk (i was feeling silly) which comes with: super speed, healing properties in his blood, sweat, tears, hair, etc, and a horn that doesn't do anything special, but could EASILY impale someone. bannon isn't in the hero course because he literally hate EVERYONE and does NOT want to use his quirk to help humanity. however he was essentially bribed to assist at UA as a healer, where he is paid for his time and efforts.

and third is tora, who has a tiger quirk (I LOVE TIGERS). shes got the arms and legs of a tiger (equipped with ears and tail too because i am a sucker.) which give her the insane strength of a TIGER!! naturally shes very fast and strong, she is just MEAN!! shes rough, with a clear lack of empathy (not as mean as bannon though, he hurts my feelings just looking at him..) and shes a stinky lil delinquent. shes got big potential though!! huge claws.

Was listening to my byler playlist and Tears Over Beers came on and I just started thinking (inspo also taken from Twin Size Mattress)

Imagine, Vecna is defeated. Life is still shit. (people like to say that everything goes back to better than normal. Like everyone's happy and the party is perfect.) Life is shit. The whole party (+ everyone else) is dealing with PTSD. Max is blind and can't walk without some sort of support. Because of the connection to hellfire and their connection to each other, the party is still targeted, but moreover avoided. Shit shit shit, it's all shit. Mike starts becoming really pessimistic again. It's easier to get Will to snap. Dustin is more quiet and isn't as enthusiastic as he should be. El is quiet again, more often then not lost in her thoughts with a cold look on her face. Lucas pushes all of his emotion into physical activity, doing his damn hardest to not have a single waking moment where he's still. Max, upon all her other issues, finds her way to her mother's alcohol. They're still friends because, aside from the other people who dealt with the upside down shit, they have no one. But they don't hang out like they used to, they don't talk like normal. (mlvn is broken up at this point.) Mike and Will are always seen together, though. That's one thing that hasn't completely changed. Except they're always tense. There's something unsaid between them that everyone can sense. Some time or another, there's a fight. Will yelling at Mike, just completely at his breaking point. Mike is throwing snide comments back. Mike eventually says something along the lines of "If you hate me so much, why don't you just leave?" And Will laughs. He fucking laughs. (this only adds to Mike's anger.) Will is fuming, hurt, all that shit. He says that he doesn't hate Mike and, at this point, he thinks he's physically incapable of hating Mike. And it's so fucking annoying, because hating Mike would be so much easier than loving him. (BOOM, confession.) Will leaves, Mike is left to think. Skip a few days ahead, Mike reaches out to Will, they talk, they start dating, yippieee. Both are still as moody and angry at the world as they were before but now, at least, they can find peace and happiness with each other in their alone time.

But the whole of Hawkins seeming to hate the party (especially Mike. After Eddie's death, Mike had grown his hair out- not as long, but it resembles Eddie. And with the pessimistic, ready to fight attitude... well the connection is there and obvious enough.) So of course, more strain. One day (a month or two after byler getting together), when Mike and Will are hanging out, smoking either cigarettes or weed, the decision is yours, and Mike says, half joking, how they should run away. Will goes a bit tense, but after a moment he lets out a (shaky) laugh and agrees.

Lets say like two weeks later, something bad happens. Whether it's from kids at school, someone from the town, or Ted, something bad happens to Mike. In a fit of emotion, he packs a bag and bike's to the Byers' house. Mike gets Will's attention and climbs through his window. Out of breath, face flushed, and with a crazy look in his eye, Mike says "Run away with me." Will is just in shock. He asks if Mike is kidding, but then sees the bag. He panics, he starts going on about how this is a bad idea. A great idea. Mike should go. He'll go with. He can't leave his family. He needs to get out of this hell hole. He can't leave. So, eventually, Will sits Mike down, and they talk. One of the first serious talks in a while. (albeit, yes, the fight was something serious, but that was fueled by anger. it's not like this at all.) Will explains that he would love to go, he would follow Mike to the ends of the earth, but he.... can't. He asks Mike to stay. Mike says there's no way in hell. Will nods, he understands. It's Will who initiates the breakup. Both know that it was going to happen, with something like this going on, but Mike could never be the one to initiate it. Hell, maybe he is, because he's the one leaving, but there's no way that he could actively say it. He's afraid of losing Will. But it happens, they breakup with wide, wet, scared but half hopeful eyes, shaky breath and fluttering hearts. Anticipation, hurt, excitement, fear. They kiss, sad and slow. A goodbye kiss. Mike promises to write or call when he can. Will assures him that they'll find each other someday. He doesn't know how, but they will. And Mike leaves. It's something of heartbreak, the first love and the first loss. The first meaningful breakup. (yes yes, mlvn breakup was meaningful because it meant the start of a new era, the start of being true to themselves, but that's different.)
