I'm considering opening some mini commisions for proof of donation to an org that supports ppl in Palestine, or maybe picking a specific vetted fund, or joining an artists for palestine group (tho i tried looking for one and all the ones i found are closed). Maybe I'll pick a few funds/orgs and put them in a list of options.

Not now, cause I need to focus on my classes and then I need a break so I don't explode, but at some point! Maybe I'll just keep them limited to a few at a time?

If you know of an Artists for Palestine-type group that's still in operation, please lmk!

#not art #I feel like most of my line illustration stuff nowadays is informed extremely heavily by my comic work #there's a distance between linework and the rest of drawing that really makes comic stand out I think. idr who said this but I saw #trung lê of the magic fish fame bring this up iirc. that linework is closer to handwriting than to the usual notion of drawing or painting #I didnt get that when I read it but the more I sit on it the more I Understand. linework is inherently abstracting and codifying #like there's no line in real life the way it exists in comic work. at its core linework is a language more than painting is #this is so not what this ask is abt lol I just! love ink and comic a Lot. sorry any time u bring up any of these things this will happen #also Im glad u like how I draw riz's ears!! this bout of art is coming in like also at the same time as dungeon meshi going into mainstream #and me getting reminded of ~~worldbuilding~~ etc and how fun it is to do like. scientific illustrations for things that arent real lol #technically I have like somewhat of a guide in my brain to how I draw ears and teeth for different dnd races present in fh #but I def am used to drawing riz's ears the most lol. bc Ive been drawing him so fucking much bc I love him #but also its relevant on the subject of guy what wears glasses. gotta be a special grip for that frame lol since his ears point outward

I've been so stressed today and yesterday that my whole body hurts. 😩 Not even over anything special, half of it is just my brain telling me things are going to go badly down the line, probably. Hurts so much I might take a covid test just in case.

#I'd actually gotten over yesterday's stress #and then completely fucked up the RBB signup so I was so late that I couldn't get any of my choices #and I knew I couldn't write any of the remaining slides #so this is the second bang I've had to miss entirely because of my own inability to just do things correctly #(last time the problem was technically my inability to come up with a fic anyone would want to illustrate)#deep into Jenna Maroney doing her self-evaluation drunk hours #I think the preliminary HR interview I did last week is not going to turn into a proper interview #wouldn't put money on it but I'm fairly sure I was supposed to hear back about it this week if so #do not have a good feeling about the short story or novella I've submitted recently #also kind of fuck-it-why-bother about the non-fiction proposal I'm finishing up #at least I've been able to write a bit today but like my usual Saturday lunch writing went nowhere because of the self-recriminations #it me

Scrolling through job listings on Indeed, and being faced with the fact that my portfolio and skillsets are too basic and uninspired to get me any of my dream jobs in the entertainment industry
