Amon  Göth
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are some facts and curiosities about Amon Göth, the butcher of Płaszów:
He was born on 11 December 1908 in Vienna, from a wealthy Catholic family operating in the book publishing sector.
He dropped out of school at the age of 17 to pursue his interest in radical right-wing ideas.
He joined the local youth section of the Austrian Nazi Party in 1925
His decision to join the party at this early stage meant that he was considered an Alter Kämpfer (Old Fighter), that is, one who had joined the party before the accession of Adolf Hitler to the position of Chancellor of Germany.
Göth joined the Austrian SS in 1930 and gained full membership in 1932 after a two-year application period. It was named SS-Mann with the number SS 43.673
Göth was assigned to the SS-Totenkopfverbände ("Death's Head unit"; concentration camp service). His first assignment, starting on 11 February 1943, was to supervise the construction of the 200-acre Kraków-Płaszów concentration camp, of which he was expected to command
In addition to his duties in Płaszów, Göth was the officer in charge of the liquidation of the Tarnów Ghetto
On Yom Kippur (the holiest holiday in the Jewish calendar) in 1943, Göth ordered fifty prisoners to be shot without cause.
He killed many people just because they dared to cross him - for looking him in the eye, when they should have lowered their gaze as a sign of deference - for having served him too hot soup or for not having cleaned his bathtub thoroughly.
He died on September 13, 1946.
He married twice and had at least three children.
his granddaughter Jennifer Teege wrote “My Grandfather Would Have Shot Me: A Black Woman Discovers her Family’s Nazi Past.”
He was played by Ralph Fiennes in the film Schindler's List (1993).

I always find it hilarious how often casting directors of Wuthering Heights film adaptations portray Ellen “Nelly” Dean as this elderly housekeeper next to Catherine Earnshaw, Hindley Earnshaw, Heathcliff, Edgar Linton, and Isabella Linton because that’s not who she is in the book at all.
In actuality, she’s about the same age as Hindley Earnshaw, who was only around 27-28 years old when he died, due to alcoholism. She’s only roughly six years older than Heathcliff and eight years older than Catherine Earnshaw/Linton Sr. She was only 14 years old when Mr. Earnshaw brought Heathcliff to Wuthering Heights, and they met. She was only in between her early-mid 20s when Cathy Sr accepted Edgar Linton’s proposal, and Heathcliff ran away after overhearing about how “it would degrade [Catherine] to marry him.” She was only in her late-twenties when Cathy Sr and Hindley Earnshaw died.
By the time we get into the second generation coming of age, Nelly’s story to Mr. Lockwood about these fucked up people she’s known and worked for from these two families since she was a child, Edgar Linton’s death, Isabella Linton’s death, Heathcliff’s death, and Cathy Linton Jr’s and Hareton Earnshaw’s engagement/upcoming marriage, Nelly is between her early-mid 40s.
At the end of the novel, Nelly has still just barely approached the beginning of “middle age” by the time Heathcliff and all this family drama surrounding the Earnshaws and Lintons. It’s why it just cracks me up how she’s always portrayed as this much more cynical and mature elderly lady in nearly every film. I guess, her being everyone else’s caretaker/servant everyone else’s favorite confidant, and her practical makes her attitude and personality comes across as someone you’d expect to be much older than her actual years
Granted, they also have often cast actors and actresses who are between their late-twenties to mid-thirties to portray Heathcliff and Cathy Sr as teenagers to early twenties. Of course, it’s also not uncommon for many people between their late-twenties to thirties, and sometimes even early 40s, to still get physically mistaken for being between their late-teens to mid-twenties since those are still fairly young years in adulthood, too. Juliet Binoche looked to be her actual age of 28 years old when she played the much younger 14-18 year old Cathy Sr and Cathy Jr Earnshaw/Linton, though.
Ralph Fiennes is actually my favorite actor’s portrayal of Heathcliff. I think he captured the anger, the charisma, the instability, the moodiness, the mystery, the obsessiveness, and the vague underlying sense of sympathy in Heathcliff the best. Physically, Ralph Fiennes is a white Caucasian actor, but to the the costume/make up department’s credit, they did have him wear a black wig and tan his skin enough to make him come across as mixed Romani in descent for this movie. Yeah, Nelly says his skin is “blacker than the devil,” but we also know that England was a very racist country towards outsiders who were not of pure white Anglo Saxon British descent back then, so Heathcliff could have been a lighter shade of tan than she said or he could have been dark brown. We don’t get a clear answer.
I also do love this scene of him talking to Nelly about being tired of getting revenge at the end of the 1992 Wuthering Heights film adaptation. They both appear to be around the right ages from the book here, and I love Nelly’s exasperated “Oh, for God’s sake…Can you please, stop staring like that!” She is so over and done with Heathcliff’s crazy bullshit, and the actress portraying Nelly here portrays that so well!

Trigger Warnings and Disclaimer
This is set in the criminal minds world so it will contain quite a bit of violence, abuse, murder, assault, etc. There will also be portrayals of self-harm, self-destructive behaviour, mental health issues, etc. so if that makes you uncomfortable, please be warned. I will put in additional warnings at the beginning of particular chapters that contain specifically triggering content but just an overall warning that it is going to be quite dark.
Also, it goes without saying, sadly I don't own any of the original criminal minds story/characters (I would very much like to own Spencer and Emily). I only own my original characters and the plotlines I give them.
Tumblr media
A/N:
Heyyo, in honour of binging like 4 seasons of criminal minds during peak exam season, I thought I'd write a story for it. This OC has been living in my head rent-free for quite a while and I finally found a place to put her so yay. Get ready for heaps of tragedy and angst lol. I am looking forward to this story and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. The story will be set starting season 1 and onwards.
I was gonna have a ships collage chapter but then I realized that may be a bit spoilery so I guess I'll just say that in addition to our main ship, we'll have Hotchniss (I adore them with all my heart), a very badass sapphic couple, and a few others. Hope you enjoy :)
Also, I would absolutely love to hear yall's thoughts on the story as we go along, it really motivates me to write and I get a sense of what yall might wanna see more/less of. I suck at writing summaries but hopefully, the synopsis wasn't too bad lol.
Cheers.

What we know about the Charlie Bone adaptation
Amazon has only ordered a pilot episode for the series at this point. If the pilot does well, then the series will probably be greenlit for season 1.
There is no official premiere date yet. The adaptation also doesn’t have a name yet.
A full cast has been found and filming has begun in November.
English Synopsis:
“Charlie Bone has always been labelled a ‘problem’. He’s been expelled from every school in London. But he can’t help it—his brain just doesn’t work like other people’s. He has been haunted by ‘The Noise’ ever since his dad mysteriously died. His last chance comes when he’s sent to Bloor’s Academy, a school for challenging teenagers. Here, the pioneering principal, Dr Bloor, sees things different—he’s convinced that what others see as flaws are, in fact, undiagnosed gifts, a kind of superpower, even. Bone must negotiate friendships, crushes, hormones, family dramas and most perilously, a dangerous conspiracy at the heart of the establishment.”
Characters:
The kids in the books will be teenagers in the adaptation. It’s unclear exactly what age they’ll be, but I’m assuming between 16-18 yrs old.
Charlie Bone will be POC/Black. It looks like he will also be a bit of a troubled teenager, as the synopsis states that he’s been haunted by the Noise since his dad’s mysterious death and was unable to cope with it, leading to him being expelled from every school in London that he’s been sent to.
Giulia Be’s character will be endowed and a friend of Charlie’s. She will explore her power alongside Charlie and the other members of the Academy. The actress apparently wrote in the comments of one of the news (?) released about the series, “I think you will really love this character. No more spoilers.”
Dr Bloor is apparently going to be very different from how he is in the books. The English synopsis describes him as a pioneering principal who views what some people see as flaws as “undiagnosed gifts”.
Cast:
Cory McLane as Charlie Bone.
Joseph Fiennes as Dr Bloor.
Giulia Be will be playing one of Charlie’s friends at Bloor’s Academy.
Other actors include Carmen Ejogo, Emma Sidi, Beth Alsbury, Olivia-Mai Barrett, Fisayo Akinade, Orlando Norman and Lewis Brophy.
Speculation and questions:
If Charlie's POC, then potentially his mother or father could be too? It would be interesting having a POC Lyell or Amy.
It's not clear whether this adaptation will keep the "Charlie's dad is really alive but hypnotised" plotline or will just have him killed off in the car accident or whatever method they'll use. I hope he still survives in this adaptation. It also looks like Charlie could be older when his dad dies than he was in the books.
The synopsis mentions Charlie having to negotiate family drama, so potentially this could mean he is still part of the big screwed up family in this adaptation?
The synopsis also mentions that he was expelled from schools in London. Does this mean there will be no Red King’s City? I will be so disappointed if this is the case. The Red King’s City is so important in the book series and is a huge part of the world in the books. It wouldn’t make sense if it is cut out of the adaptation.
The only characters that've been revealed are Charlie and Dr Bloor, from what I can tell. I can guess at who Giulia Be's character might be--I think she could be a version of Olivia.

The Harrington Family
Demeter : Agriculture and Grain Industry
The Harrington family are an eminent force in the agriculture and grain industry that made their riches beginning as a humble grain storage business in Iowa before expanding across the Midwest and eventually launching into a full scale, complex international organization and successful competitor in global markets. First Harrington (78) has stepped down as CEO for the company as of two years ago, enjoying retirement with her husband and former socialite who graced the upper echelons of high society, First Fontana (77).
The Harrington Company is now run by the eldest son, First Harrington (51) as CEO, alongside his wife and documentary filmmaker First Harrington (50), with two children of their own. First Harrington (46) remains unmarried but actively contributes to the family legacy as a dedicated member of the Board of Directors. Taking after her father, First Nolan (44) has graced New York City’s high society as a socialite alongside her husband First Nolan (45), with two identical twin daughters to help with the family’s prestigious, perfect image.
The youngest daughter, First Harrington (39) has tried to keep herself away from the family politics and paved her own way as the Managing Editor of the New York Times, but has found herself on the front pages of her own newspaper due to the highly publicized (and some would also say quite sudden) engagement to renowned architect First Montgomery (48). At the end of the Harrington dynasty are the two youngest boys, First Harrington (36) and their adopted son, First Harrington (34) - both of whom have escaped the clutches and demands that their elder siblings face, allowing them to pave their own paths and discover what they want to do in the world.
Some may say that it is the privilege of being the youngest, but others would argue it’s because they didn’t receive as much attention and focus growing up as their siblings may have. Regardless, the Harrington family has made a lasting impression on the court of high society and seems to only be continuing the trend with the potential merger between the Harrington and Montgomery families looming on the horizon.

fake disney remakes by year: the aristocats, 1970
madame la duchesse de bonfamille has it all: a penthouse in paris, a castle in luxembourg, a wardrobe more expensive than a developing nation’s GDP, and three adorable children who are mostly on their best behavior whenever vogue comes to photograph the world’s most glamorous single mother.
but the lifestyle to which they are accustomed is entirely dependent on the whims of the duchess’s grand-mère adelaide, and nothing reaches adelaide’s ears without first being filtered through her old retainer, edgar. edgar is no fan of the duchess’s joie de vivre, and thinks the family fortune could go to a much better cause, like himself.
the duchess is not an idiot, and therefore not oblivious to edgar’s dislike of her and her family, but it’s always been easy to laugh off the scandalous stories he keeps inventing to feed to adelaide. it’s less funny, though, once he levels up to trying things like actual murder.
(...but still a little funny. he is not very good at it, you see.)
after the attempt on their lives, the duchess and her children end up stranded in the french countryside, and find an unlikely deliverance in the form of the most defeated rock ’n roll tour bus the planet has ever seen. kitty crothers and the alley cats are having their own troubles: it would be a miracle if they could get to montmartre in a week, never mind in time for their show that night. but the band is a good-natured, helpful bunch, and hey, what’s three little kids on a bus that’s already packed?
of course, it also helps that the band’s manager, thomas o’malley, happens to be highly susceptible to the way the duchess’s eyes sparkle like sapphires.
so la famille bonfamille become the alley cats’ honorary roadies, and what ensues is a madcap adventure to make it to paris, get adelaide to see edgar’s true colors, and give the good people of the 18th arrondissement hearing damage for the rest of their lives.
feat. nicola coughlan as the duchess, rhys ifans as thomas o’malley, ralph fiennes as edgar, H.E.R. as kitty crothers, and joan collins as adelaide bonfamille.

Bellatrix Lestrange
Bellatrix Lestrange is the most loyal and perhaps even the most powerful follower of Lord Voldemort with a passion none could rival. Born in the Black and Rosier family in 1951, she already had the perfect background for becoming a Death Eater as her mother's family sided with Grindelwald and her father's family was famous for being pureblood fanatics.
Bellatrix eventually married a wealthy pureblood named Rodolphus Lestrange. The marriage however was done out of pure obligation towards her family's blood mentality and traditions. Bellatrix never showed any love or compassion towards her husband and remained childless with him. It is however unclear how exactly Bellatrix and her husband joined Lord Voldemort but during the first wizarding war, the couple became devoted Death Eaters.
Bellatrix' devotion towards Voldemort was however stronger than just the ambition for power and blood status alone. She developed a true crush or even love for Voldemort which only fuelled her passion as a Death Eater to absolute fanaticism. Her passion towards Voldemort and his goals did not go unnoticed as she became the Dark Lord's most trusted Lieutenant, I dare even say Voldemort started to care about her as well and truly respected her.
After the Dark Lord's fall on 31 October 1981, most of the Death Eaters scarpered or were killed. Bellatrix however, together with a small group of followers, remained fiercely loyal towards Voldemort. Bellatrix, her husband Rodolphus and Barty Crouch Jnr managed to kidnap Alice and Frank Longbottom and tortured them to insanity to gain any knowledge on Voldemort's whereabouts.
This attack on the aurors caused so much fury among the wizarding community that the four were quickly captured and sentenced to life imprisonment in Azkaban. Even during the trial, Bellatrix continued to show her loyalty towards Voldemort while other Death Eaters pleaded for their lives.
After Voldemort's return to power in 1995, Voldemort immediately planned a mass breakout of Azkaban to free his faithful followers who instead of running away, remained loyal to his cause.
Now somewhere during the second wizarding war, Voldemort and Bellatrix conceived a child together. Whether out of love/passion towards each other or from necessity to conceive a pureblood heir of Slytherin is unknown. I personally like to think they did this act out of passion as Voldemort wasn't incapable of feeling emotions like love, a common misconception Rowling cleared up in an interview.
Their sexual relationship probably started after the events at the ministy of Magic's department of mysteries as Voldemort himself intervented at the ministry and prevented her capture by the Aurors, she was the only Death Eater not to be apprehended at the ministry, it was a remarkable deed of Lord Voldemort to actually intervene and save one of his own, a sign that he did truly care about her. During the battle of Hogwarts, it was also Bellatrix who was the only Death Eater who seemed to actually care about her master's wellbeing as she was the only one reaching out for Voldemort after he fell down, following the destruction of another Horcrux.
Imagine a stand-alone mature film being made about Bellatrix' life and eventual relationship with Voldemort. Even actor Ralph Fiennes admitted he would be interested in playing as Voldemort in such a mature film.
