Realistic Art
Realized I still have digital access to Christopher Hart’s “Figure It Out Human Proportions” and decided to try some of the step by step instructions to help improve and expand my art skills. Planning on giving each of my characters their own distinct art style.

Really Struggling with Optimus' design for my continuity. I want him to feel kinda intimidating and... Weary? Tired? I know the vibe I'm going for and also that I want him to have this sort of organic, smooth feel, have his armor curve naturally around his body and create these intricate patterns and make it feel like everything was sort of placed there purposefully, to contrast with Megatron, whose armor will probably be blocky and placed in chunks.

ive always kind of been obsessed with how we grow and change physically as we age. since i was a child it confused me so much how humans grew and looked different at different ages. like as a child you're so so so so small and your hands and feet are ridiculous it's absurd how tiny you are. and then as you age, at some point you kind of hit the stage where you no longer get taller and you're not developing in the same way as you were, but you're still changing. like the way a 20 year old looks different from a 30 year old, who looks different from a 40 year old. you've stopped getting taller at that point but there's still all these changes that are happening. and the way that different people of the same age can also look different is staggering.

Having figure drawing at the same as anthro is very funny actually
Video: humans' upper legs are angled inward under the hips for stability!
Me, who spent at least an hour of classtime today in crisis over legs: is that how they work? Wonderful
