I joked to a friend of mine that Rainbow meeting Pinkie was a scenario in which "instead of a shy pegasus that struggled to fly, Rainbow encountered the unmedicated undiagnosed adhd kid in her class" and I don't think I've ever been more correct in my entire life.

technically Pinkie also struggled to fly in this but that's besides the point.

WELP!! I’m gonna talk about my Continuity Again! I’ve still gotta a lot the story elements to work on and what I want to do with it but! For right, I’m mainly gonna focus on Characters.

Some things haven’t really changed for some characters, others are up for Debate but here are a few things (I apologize if this gets sporadic):

Megatron, Galvatron, and Megazarak are siblings. Terminus is their carrier and he did his damnedest raising them (He’s a good parent in my continuity)

Megatron is the Youngest, Galvatron is the middle child, and Megazarak is the oldest

Galvatron is the most odd outta all three of them

Megazarak disappears during Megatron’s early adults (but we’ll get into that at some point)

Galvatron got sent to the Pits days after Megazarak’s disappearance

and much, much more of this family

Kiloton is also in this AU, she helped Megatron take care of Terminus in his dying moments, since she was trained in medical she did all she could.

Orion, Ariel, and Dion are all in a Relationship and are very happy, they were orphans that grew up together and they all work at the docks together:

Orion is FTM

They all have Fangs

Dion is a sweetheart, let’s hope nothing bad happens

Orion also works as an Archivist as a side job

Ariel and Orion like reading stories that Orion checks out together

StarScream, SkyWarp, and ThunderCracker. They’re not royalty in this AU, as much as I adore that, not here! StarScream and his brothers were orphaned and they had to scrape by to live. Of course when older, they managed decent lives but they all can see each like they used to but they keep in touch via calls or through their bond.

Ratchet is still Ratchet for the most part, used to be a medic for the Senate but then dipped and made his own in the Dead End where she helps others. She meets Hot Rod and Drift this way and they all become good friends

obviously I don't like the everpresent fic trope of wise and hypercompetent lesbian appears for two seconds to sort out hapless gay boy feelings. however, I do think it gets at something, which is that lesbians fucking love to give advice we are eminently unqualified to give.

so from now on I will only be accepting this trope if the instagram therapyspeak relationship advice is a) objectively wrong and b) coming from a lesbian who is actively ghosting at least two girls while crying about her ex-situationship from 5 years ago. thank you!

probably time for this story i guess but when i was a kid there was a summer that my brother was really into making smoothies and milkshakes. part of this was that we didn't have AC and couldn't afford to run fans all day so it was kind of important to get good at making Cool Down Concoctions.

we also had a patch of mint, and he had two impressionable little sisters who had the attitude of "fuck it, might as well."

at one point, for fun, this 16 year old boy with a dream in his eye and scientific fervor in heart just wanted to see how far one could push the idea of "vanilla mint smoothie". how much vanilla extract and how much mint can go into a blender before it truly is inedible.

the answer is 3 cups of vanilla extract, 1/2 cup milk alternative, and about 50 sprigs (not leaves, whole spring) of mint. add ice and the courage of a child. idk, it was summer and we were bored.

the word i would use to describe the feeling of drinking it would maybe be "violent" or perhaps, like. "triangular." my nose felt pristine. inhaling following the first sip was like trying to sculpt a new face. i was ensconced in a mesh of horror. it was something beyond taste. for years after, i assumed those commercials that said "this is how it feels to chew five gum" were referencing the exact experience of this singular viscous smoothie.

what's worse is that we knew our mother would hate that we wasted so much vanilla extract. so we had to make it worth it. we had to actually finish the drink. it wasn't "wasting" it if we actually drank it, right? we huddled around outside in the blistering sun, gagging and passing around a single green potion, shivering with disgust. each sip was transcendent, but in a sort of non-euclidean way. i think this is where i lost my binary gender. it eroded certain parts of me in an acidic gut ecology collapse.

here's the thing about love and trust: the next day my brother made a different shake, and i drank it without complaint. it's been like 15 years. he's now a genuinely skilled cook. sometimes one of the three of us will fuck up in the kitchen or find something horrible or make a terrible smoothie mistake and then we pass it to each other, single potion bottle, and we say try it it's delicious. it always smells disgusting. and then, cerimonious, we drink it together. because that's what family does.

You know those g5 concepts of a g4 remake? These ones?

I'm making my own fan continuity using them and the vague ideas that are illustrated through these concepts! Currently I'm calling it Dawn of Harmony (sooo original I know, that name's definitely been used somewhere before) but that could change, I have some ideas for it but it's going to take a LOT of workshoping. Some infodumping of my current concepts below, really just mane 6 info:

Pinkie Pie and Rainbowdash are childhood friends that met in their flight school as foals. Pinkie had a rough start in flying due to her smaller wings and Rainbow decided to coach her a bit, which is how she discovered their shared love for pranking and how much Pinkie could cheer a pony up, thus sparking a lifelong friendship.

Applejack keeps her country flair and still lives/works on a farm, and she's the only non-family friend of the lone Twilight Sparkle, an earth pony with a knack for science and inventing...but less of a knack for making friends. She and Applejack are childhood friends, but Applejack still wishes she could be closer to Twi and that her pal would spend more time with other ponies and less time at home, they used to hang out all the time but Twilight got more "busy" as she got older. Applejack and Rainbowdash are quite competitive with each other, and they often get into spats during AJ's free time.

Fluttershy is very much like her name implies...very shy, but she doesn't flutter because she's a unicorn! She uses her magic to heal animals and fix the environment around her, the woods around her cottage home are said to be the prettiest in all of Ponyville. She's incredibly shy with new ponies and struggles with confrontation, but she's actually quite the social butterfly with those she feels safer and more comfortable around. She's close to Applejack and the farm pony has TRIED to set her up to be friends with Twilight, but Twi seems to always just miss her.

Rarity is the fanciest unicorn in the entirety of Ponyville, a Canterlot born pony who moved to the more rural village in order to find herself and discover inspiration for her career as a fashion star. She even brought her younger sister along with her! Rarity is quite difficult to get along with at first, but those like Fluttershy know that if you can get past her blunt commentary and insistence to measure you to make you a complimentary outfit, you'll find a friend that will do everything she can to be there for you. If you mess with Rarity's friends, you get the horn. She also has a side hobby of gemstone collecting and loves to use the sparkling gems in her fashion as often as she can.

So awhile back I had an idea for my Own TF Continuity, G1 with some IDW and others sprinkled in and one of the things I decided to do around the time the War started in the story is that Dion would often go behind Orion’s back and sneak to talk to Megatron, nothing life ruining just adapting Megatron on Orion’s mental health and the affect the Matrix was having on him.

Orion does find out and he’s furious, but not himself type of Furious this is a different kind of Fury. And with one blow, Dion is Dead….Orion is Devastated by his Actions, Ariel is Disgusted with Him, and Megatron knew at that point the Orion she knew was gone.
