I feel like most of the dst fandom sees Willow as some female Wilson, and this is revolting. she is a really interesting character, that is beyond the mad woman with cute teddy bear. she deals constantly with childhood trauma, pyromaniacs habbits, trust issues, misterious deal with the Maxwell to burn others houses, a huge cursing vocabulary, etc.

It lived as a dogshit narrative and died a dogshit narrative. I just reblogged a very good essay from you that sums up most of my qualms, tho I wish it'd brought up the inherant dystopia of Make More Mutants and the implications that had on female mutant rights etc

I've said it all before but I'll sum it up: this era has read like a Christian Nationalist fantasy about how the most wealthy healthy and powerful are Really Super Persecuted and everyone else is just Super Jealous but with a thin neo liberal coat of paint on it. Inherently fascist. Inherently sexist. Made me feel dirty every time i read.

The Krakoa era deserved to die and I hope it burns in hell lol
