Art stress
So. I recently bought Procreate (like two days ago) to test out what the big deal was. Seeing artists all over instagram using it to create some stunning artwork made me go like, okay, let’s see what it’s about … and already I’m stressed out.
First thing, my first digital art program was actually photoshop and back then I only had a mouse so I’d just use to colour lineart I’d find on the internet just as a means of practice or because I was bored. Then, my cousin got me a drawing tablet and introduced me to Clip Studio Paint. The first time I drew something digitally was 2019, in clip studio and from then, I’ve been using CSP and I love it.
So now, procreate has me stressed. Using the pre installed brushes to sketch isn’t a problem is just that the lines are pixelated and there’s no anti-aliasing option to smooth it out. 😭😭😭 and there’s no marketplace to get brushes and other materials from. Like, if I want a jewels brush I’d have to make it for myself?? But I can’t draw jewels that’s the point😭😭😭
And there are no vector layers either but at least, when you draw lines to meet each other they just fuse instead of looking messy.
I’m just here wondering how those artists can make those stunning artwork in procreate because I can’t even pass the sketching phase 😭
And no, I don’t watch tutorials right off the bat, I tend to play around with programs first…
I’m miserable.
