Joseph-Philibert Girault de Prangey (21 October 1804 – 7 December 1892) is known as the first architectural photographer who started to take photographs with daguerreotype from early 1841 of significant sites like Paris, Egypt, Greece, Palestine, Syria, and Turkey.

Frederick H. Evans (26 June 1853 – 24 June 1943), a notable British Photographer known for his contribution to Architectural Photography as his photographs focused on French and British Cathedrals, and his works were among the finest work at that time, for which he was made an honorary fellow of the Royal Photographic Society in 1928 and also a member of Linked Ring photographic society.

Modern architecture started to flourish with photographs in about the 1920s when urban photographers like Eugène Atget, Berenice Abbott, Walker Evans, and T. Lux Feiningercame into play. Eugène Atget(12 February 1857 – 4 August 1927), a French photographer known for his documentation of the streets of Paris before it entered Modernization. His works were published by Berenice Abbott after his death.

Walker Evans who was also an American Photographer and photojournalist and believed that being a photographer he must make the picture “literate, authoritative, transcendent”. He worked for Farm Security Administration (FSA) and documented the effects of The Great Depression.

Historically, what type of camera did photographers predominantly use for architectural photography to ensure that those vertical lines remained constant throughout?
The photographers most often used a large-format camera which helps to minimalize parallax errors. They could parallax shift the plate in the back of the camera in order to control perspective.
How does this camera differ from a traditional analogue 35mm or digital equivalent SLR?

The main difference is that in 35mm you can’t change the angle of plate and perspective which view cameras allows that. Apart that view camera has much longer exposure time than 35 mm.

As above – in DSLR we can’t change the angle of plate or perspective, but we can attach the tilt lens, which allows to control the perspective.

 関東甲信地方は平年より(7月19日ごろ)より22日早く、昨年(7月16日ごろ)より19日早い梅雨明けです。  梅雨入りや梅雨明けは毎年9月に見直されますが、統計を取り始めた昭和26年以降、関東甲信のこれまでで最も早い梅雨明けは4年前2018年の6月29日で、このまま確定すれば過去最も早い梅雨明けとなり、東海と九州南部では過去2番目に早い梅雨明けとなります。  そんな中、青い睡蓮が花咲きました。  今夏のはじめの一歩となる睡蓮の風情を写し撮るべく 1 EV の差で 5 枚現像し、high dynamic range image として仕上げました。

Horizontally scrolling table with fixed headings
For my Focal Length Equivalent utility, I created a alternative view for when you don't have JavaScript enabled (as you should, if you can).
Instead of dynamically showing the conversion based on the position of the range slider input element, I simply show a good old table with calculated equivalents at pre-defined focal lengths.
I wanted this table to list the focal lengths vertically – with one film- or sensor-format on one row – so you can easily parse the result. As such a table gets easily too wide for the parent elements container, I wanted
the table to be scrollable horizontally and
have the format name headings keep their position, so that you never lose track of which row represents which format.
Here’s the simplified table markup:

The “scrolling” bit is easily done: simply put a overflow-x: scroll; on the table’s container element, which in my case is a <figure> element (a <div> or any other block element would also do of course, if the <figure> semantic doesn’t work for you):

In order for the film-format name headings to keep their position, I resorted to a fairly new value of the CSS position property: sticky. I added this to the th selectors, in combination with left: 0; so the headings stay at their original positions:

Panasonic officially unveils 50-200mm F2.8-4.0 ASPH
Panasonic has formally announced the Leica DG Vario 50-200mm, the latest lens in its line of F2.8-4 zooms. It's the third lens in the series, and the final model Panasonic promised at CES 2017 when it announced the 12-60mm F2.8-4. It covers a 100-400mm equivalent range and features a dust/splashproof design. Panasonic's Power O.I.S. stabilization is included and works with Dual I.S. on compatible Lumix cameras.
The Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 50-200mm F2.8-4 will be available in June for $1700.

Newark, NJ (February 26, 2018) Panasonic introduces a new telephoto zoom digital interchangeable lens, the compact LEICA DG VARIO-ELMARIT 50-200mm / F2.8-4.0 ASPH. (35 mm camera equivalent: 100-400 mm), the third lens to be introduced from its LEICA DG VARIO-ELMARIT F2.8-4.0 Series. And like all lenses in the series, includes Panasonic’s Nano Surface Coating technology to minimize ghosts and flaring, plus a rugged, dust/splash-proof design that is freeze-proof to -10℃.
The LEICA DG VARIO-ELMARIT 50-200mm / F2.8-4.0 ASPH. has a zoom range of 100mm to super telephoto 400 mm (35mm camera equivalent) to cover shooting situations from wildlife and indoor sports to portraits. The POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) effectively compensates for hand-shake movement to shoot even without a tripod. The lens works with Dual I.S.*1 (Image Stabilizer) and Dual.I.S.2*2 when mounted on compliant Panasonic LUMIX DSLM (Digital Single Lens Mirrorless) cameras.
Comprising 21 elements in 15 groups, the lens system features two UED (Ultra Extra-low Dispersion) lenses, two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lenses and two aspherical lenses. The sensor drive at max. 240 fps takes full advantage of cameras with high-speed, high-precision Contrast AF for exceptional video recording performance, and an inner focus drive system ensures smooth, silent operation. A micro-step drive system in the aperture control helps the camera smoothly catch up to brightness changes when zooming or panning. The optical design provides exceptional barycentric stability to minimize image shifts during zooming.
By attaching a filter (67mm) such as ND or PL, the lens provides a wider range of expression in photos and video. A 1.4x Teleconverter DMW-TC14*3 extends focusing distance to 560mm (35mm camera equivalent) and the 2.0x Teleconverter DMW-TC20*3 to 800mm (35mm camera equivalent) for more close-up shots.

天空に向かう 瀧のような階段 でも ちょっと傾斜がきつ過ぎて どうにも こうにも 昇れません                 ------------------------ ロビーの階段を広角一杯に取り込もうと、ちょっとカメラを振ってみました。 なんだかアンバランスな風景となり、現実離れした階段となって写っていました。 ステンレスの手摺りが、まるで迸る瀧の水流のように、飛沫を上げて流れて見えました。 本来の姿は、12月23日のツリーの背景となっている、落ち着いた階段なんですけれどね。
