Pathosformeln beleidigen

Pathosformeln beleidigen, dafür sind sie da, sie können das darum auch ab, beleidigt zu werden. Pathosformeln sind Passionsformulare, sie lassen leiden und Leiden durchgehen. Sie lassen passen und passieren. Sie sind ohnehin und bleiben ohnehin widerständig und insistierend. Widerstände der Systemtheorie? Systemtheorien widerstehen! Insistenzen der Systemtheorie? Systemtheorien insistieren!

Soll man sich von der Lektüre der Staatstafel beleidigen lassen? Soll der römische Staat, den man in seinem Stolz lieber für das kälteste aller Ungeheuer als für einen Haufen Witze hält, so ansehen, wie Warburg ihn zeigt? Was für ein Ansehen was für ein Kredit soll das denn sein? durchgehendes Ansehen und durchgehender Kredit soll das sein.

Diese Frage, die nach der Beleidigung, stellt sich immer, immer stellt sich die Frage, ob man sich von einer Lektüre beleidigen lässt. Soll man sich von Vismann beleidigen lassen, die den römischen Staat als einen Haufen Witze vorführt? Soll man sich von Foucault beleidigen lassen, von dem Gerede, dass der römische Staat ein Haufen Gouvernmentalität sei? Soll man sich von Vesting beleidigen lassen, von seiner Vorgabe und Vorsetzung großer alter weißer Männer, vom Vorsitz großer alter weißer Männer? Ja sicher, was den sonst?

Wenn die angeblich schon ein Witz sind, dann kann man sich auch von ihnen zum Witz machen lassen. Ooops, i did it against! Spears' Technik nennt man nicht dialektisch, das kann daran liegen, dass sie eine blonde Frau ist. I object legally blonde! Das ist Dialektik, von mir aus auch diagonal, man nennt das Vorgehen negative Affirmation oder aber Verkehrung, oder Verzehrung, oder Begehrung, eine öde und wüste vague und vogue Assoziation. Ist das gut? Bingo-Inos Formel: Ja, aber umgekehrt würde ich sagen.

Soll man! Kann man! Man kann die Beleidigung durchgehen lassen, man kann Staatstafeln, die Aktenberge und die Gouvernementalität durchgehen lassen. Es gibt viele, die das alles lowerden werden, sei es, indem sie das alles bekämpfen oder bestreiten, dass es irgendweine Rolle spielen würde.

Jetzt einmal ernst, ganz ernst: Das ist nicht der Rat, den ich gebe. Der Rat, den ich gebe: alles mitmachen. Pathosformeln beleidigen! Bilder regeln! 1. Worte isolieren! 2. Reden schneiden! 3. Tafeln gehen!

Den Rat gebe ich , wenn ich in Wien eine Regierungsschule mitgestalten soll. Den gebe ich wenn ich in Frankfurt junge Forscherinnen und Forscher darin schule, wohlregiert zu forschen. Umarme deine Symptome, schaukel und tanze, kippe und wippe mit ihnen, das kannst du.

Man kann Aktenberge mitmachen, man kann Staatstafeln mitmachen, man kann sogar Apokalypsen und Hegel, Arendt und Melden mitmachen, wenn man Kalypso tanzen kann, sich verstecken und hervorkommen kann, wenn man pendeln kann, von fort nach da und von da nach fort. Mein Rat ist immer: Mitmachen! Alles andere macht auch nur mit. Dieser Rat ist mutual und mute, für eine anarchistisch-juridische Kulturtechnik. Die Welt wird nicht verrückter dadurch, als sie ist.

Eine schlechte Angewohnheit

Zu spät ins Bett gehen. Zu lange vorm Rechner sitzen. Die wichtigen Dinge im Haushalt viel zu lange liegen lassen, nicht genug Sport treiben oder zu wenig auf meine gesunde Ernährung zu achten. Die Liste könnte ich wohl endlos fortsetzen, wenn ich den seltsamen Drange verspüren würde, mich mal wieder so richtig schön selbst fertig zu machen. Und ich bin mir sicher, sobald du einmal darüber nachdenkst, was wohl so zu Deinen schlechten Angewohnheiten gehört, würdest du genauso schnell trübsinnig vorm Rechner sitzen und seufzen.

Schlechte Angewohnheiten gehören genauso wie unsere guten und Stärken zum Leben dazu. Jeder hat seine Pet Peeves, seine guilty pleasures, denen man vielleicht oft genug gar keine großartige Beachtung schenkt, die auch absolut in Ordnung sind, die einen aber dann doch von Zeit zu Zeit ein wenig ins Grübeln bringen und pünktlich zum neuen Jahr in Form von "guten Vorsätzen" ausgemerzt werden sollen.

Eine meiner schlechtesten Angewohnheiten ist wohl das Rauchen. Ich hab 2017 so richtig damit angefangen und bin seitdem mit einigen vernachlässigbaren, kleinen Pausen nie wirklich davon losgekommen. Es ist immer wieder das gleiche: Ich werde mir bewusst, wie shitty das eigentlich, will damit aufhören, ziehe drei Tage durch und BAM! Dann ist das Verlangen nach einer gemütlichen Kippe auf dem Fenstersims viel zu groß und ich stiefel freiwillig nochmal los, um mir eine neue Packung zu kaufen. Und dann sitze ich auf meinem Fenstersims, mit dieser Mischung aus zufrieden und schuldig, weil ich mich mal wieder selbst übers Ohr gehauen hab.

Das Problem, wenn man zu oft versucht aufzuhören und dann doch wieder anfängt: Man verliert das Vertrauen in sein eigenes Wort. Wenn ich vom Rauchen aufstehe, das Fenster schließe und entschlossen die leere Packung in meiner Hand zerdrücke, denke ich erst "Okay, das wars. Bye bye Rauchen. Ich bin durch." - und eine Sekunde später verlache ich mein Vorhaben innerlich selbst, weil ich weiß, dass es eh nichts wird.

Tja, aber was mache ich jetzt?

Es kann ja nicht die Lösung sein, es gar nicht mehr zu versuchen, nur weil man (mal wieder) scheitern könnte. Im Grunde kann ich nur so oft hinfliegen und wieder aufstehen, bis es tatsächlich einmal funktioniert. Denn am Ende ist es mit allen Vorsätzen und neuen Angewohnheiten dasselbe: Es funktioniert nicht immer auf Anhieb. Die Kunst ist das Nichtlockerlassen, das Immerwiederversuchen, bis es doch irgendwann klappt. Und ja, vermutlich fliegt man noch ein paar Mal auf die Schnauze. Aber wenn du wirklich dahinter stehst, wenn du es wirklich willst, wirst du aus jedem Versuch etwas mitnehmen, was dir beim nächsten Ansatz weiterhilft. Dann weißt du, was für dich auf keinen Fall funktioniert, was nichts bringt oder vielleicht sogar kontraproduktiv ist. Man muss die positiven Seiten am Scheitern sehen, nicht wahr? :D

Für mich funktioniert absolutes Enthalten und Loslösen am besten. Die ersten Tage und Wochen sind immer die schlimmsten. Wenn ich nur einen Monat schaffen würde, dann könnte ich mich vielleicht auch wieder in die Gesellschaft von Rauchern begeben, aber für die erste Zeit ist Nähe zu Rauchern absolut bescheuert. Kostet zu viel Willenskraft, die dich im Rahmen eines Entzugs viel zu schnell verlässt.

Das Tracken meines Konsums mit einem Counter hat unheimlich gut geholfen, um meinen Wunsch vom Aufhören zu untermauern. Wenn man die ersten Hundert innerhalb eines Monats voll hat, dann wird einem etwas mulmig im Magen.

Also dann - ich hab ein neues Ziel, auf dessen Weg ich euch mitnehmen kann. Es hilft, sich zu verpflichten und damit eine gewisse Erwartungshaltung von Außen zu spüren. Den Tracker werde ich beibehalten, diesmal aber um zu sehen, wie oft ich schon auf eine Zigarette verzichtet habe. Zumindest für Zuhause muss ich unbedingt einen Ausgleich finden, denn der Schlüssel ist vor allem, die Gewohnheitskippen (bei mir vor allem gegen Abend) aufzugeben. Alles darüber hinaus ist relativ simpel.

Und obwohl ich dir hier von meinem Fortschritt erzählen werde, werde ich es im großen und ganzen für mich behalten. Falls es nicht funktioniert, enttäusche ich nur dich und mich, damit kann ich gut leben :D Schauen wir mal, wie gut es läuft... Tag 1 hat damit begonnen!

Sagt sie allen Ernstes, das der Maler sich dann lieber einen neuen Job suchen soll, wenn er meint er verdient zu wenig.  Das war wieder so ein Moment bei dem ich dachte, du hältst jetzt den Mund, denn wenn du sagst was du denkst, steht sie Freundschaft wieder Mal auf der Kippe. Handwerker, fuhr sie fort verdienen zur Zeit doch viel Geld, die können doch alles verlangen, da muss er sich doch nicht aufregen. Ich glaube , sie hat nicht verstanden worum es geht.

We made it to Denver on the 25th, where we stayed at Kipp’s home for a few days.

Gae visited Jil daily, and got to join in on a party Jil held with a bunch of friends on the 28th.

I went to see our friends Linda and Louie nearby while she played with Jil and friends.

We received this great picture from Ben of he and Rob from a visit with their friends in Victoria, BC... Sooo cute!

We stopped overnight in Fort Collins on the way out of town for a visit with our long-time friend Ruth, and her daughter Reisha’s family.

We drove through Twin Falls, Idaho, to gas up, where we caught this great sunset on the way back to our home in Port Angeles.

"Alter du hast Nerven!“ er klopft Blaze auf die Schulter, lässt die Hand kurz dort liegen und fragt. “Alles klar bei dir?“ Blaze zieht an der Kippe, nickt, ascht ab und stösst den Rauch aus ohne seinen Freund anzusehen. Die Blutsache kennt er auch nicht... und das obschon die sich fast ein Leben lang kennen. Das einzige was Blaze wirklich stört, und wo er jedes mal kotzen könnte, wenn Chip seine dumme Angewohnheit übertreibt und sich die Finger blutig beisst beim Nägelkauen. Aber wegsehen und sich innerlich gut zureden hat bisher ganz gut geklappt. Grade eben wars ein wenig zu viel gewesen um es zu ignorieren. Gut, dass er sich nichts gebrochen hat.. wäre da noch ein Knochen aus der Haut geragt dann... *würg* Blaze hustet kurz zur Tarnung, als wäre der Rauch schuld. Chip nimmt die Hand runter und fährt fort. „Sah ziemlich spektakulär aus. Du warst perfekt in der Luft....an der Landung kannst noch ein bisschen feilen.“ „Ach halt‘s Maul.“ sagt Blaze und beginnt schief zu lächeln. „Bin froh, dass du wieder auf deinem BMX sitzt...aufrecht ...“ Ohne Blaze darauf etwas sagen zu lassen zeigt Chip zur Bank und fordert ihn auf: „Komm, Nadine hat Bier dabei.“ Blaze setzt sich und bekommt ein Bier gereicht. Er wartet mit trinken. Die Haut unter dem Verband brennt immer noch. Wie lang wird das brauchen bis es verheilt ist? Ob man was nähen muss? Blaze zieht sein Handy hervor um das zu googeln. Es war auf stumm, so bemerkt er erst jetzt die verpassten Nachrichten. Eine davon ist von einer Unbekannten Nummer. Er vergisst den Googleplan und öffnet die Nachricht. Bestimmt Spam. Es tut mir leid, Herr Blaisdell, sie vorhin voreilig der Schule verwiesen zu haben. Ich war, denke ich, zu Recht verärgert, dass Sie Madame Fouchés Wagen willentlich mit Kieseselsteinen zerkratzt haben. Sie hätten mir sagen können, dass Sie eine Fixierung der Farbe bemerkten, die mir nicht bekannt war. Das Entschuldigt aber nicht mein vorschnelles Handeln. Natürlich beginnt für Sie Morgen wieder der Unterricht wie gewöhnlich. Zur Behebung des nunmehr tatsächlich entstandenen Sachschadens finden Sie sich bitte in Madame Fouchés nächstem Schulprojekt Wallart ein. Blaze blinzelt. Hat er grade richtig gelesen. Er hört wie Chip alle mit Bier auffordert anzustoßen. Blaze überhört das, stösst ihn mit dem Ellbogen an und sagt auf das Handy starrend: „Ey, zieh dir das mal rein.“ Blaze denkt nach. Er hatte den Schulverweis gar nicht für bare Münze genommen. Dann schreibt er, er hätte nicht gewusst dass die Farbe nicht abgehen würde. Kann man ja behaupten, denkt Blaze. Und was ist das am Schluss? Will er dass sie das Auto nochmal besprühen? ... legal? Blaze rümpft die Nase. „Ich hatte eigentlich vor zu schwänzen Morgen.“ sagt Blaze. Nach dem Sturz sowieso. Wann ist denn der nächste Wallart Kurs? Als würde Blaze sich einen Stundenplan einprägen. Lol. Vielleicht weiss es Nadine. „Nadine, wann sind diese Projektkurse?“ „Was fragst du mich das?“ gibt sie zurück. „Du bist hier die, die einem Streber am nächsten kommt.“ Blaze kassiert eine Faust in den Oberarm. Er grinst. „Blödmann. Schau selber nach.“ sagt sie genervt. „Und wie soll ich das jetzt machen?“ „Damit.“ sie nimmt ihm sein Handy aus der Hand und hält es ihm vors Gesicht. Blaze nimmt es wieder. Er versteht nicht. „Hä?“ „Online-Stundenplan du Depp.“ Nadine verdreht die Augen. „Gib her.“ Blaze lässt sich das Telefon nochmal aus der Hand nehmen. „Seit wann haben wir denn so was?“ Nadine tippt eine Internetseite ein und sucht darauf herum. „War klar dass du das nicht mitkriegst.“ Blaze lehnt sich lässig auf der Bank zurück und zuckt die Schultern. „Zwei Worte: Wen juckts.“ Nadine meint trocken, ohne die Suche einzustellen: „Wow. Du kannst auf zwei zählen. Klasse.“ „Pass mal bisschen auf, ja?“ sagt Blaze grinsend. Wie hatte Nadine es noch geschafft hier akzeptiert zu werden? Irgendwann mal hat sich eine Art Akzeptanz entwickelt... Dazu kommt der Deal mit Chip der ihr wohl einige Vorteilpunkte verschafft hat. Er kann sich aber beim besten Willen nicht erinnern wie es dazu kam, dass sie nun hier mit ihnen sitzt und sich traut Sprüche zu klopfen. Und es hatte nichts damit zu tun, dass sie zusammen waren... sie war vorher schon hier. Und ihre freche Art hatte ihn damals angemacht. Es war aufregend eine wie sie zu kennen. Davor gab es nie Mädchen in ihrer Runde... warum wohl... dann kam noch dazu dass sie Denizes beste Freundin ist... Denize... das schönste und gleichzeitig unterschiedlichste Wesen dass er kennt. Der Schritt sich mit Nadine anzufreunden gehörte ursprünglich zu einem anderen Plan und sollte nicht damit enden mit Nadine... Sie zeigt ihm den Bildschirm. „Da...“ Blaze nimmt das Handy und sieht sich das Display an. Der Stundenplan ist darauf zu sehen. „Tatsache.“ bestätigt Blaze. Also erst Donnerstag ist Wallart. Er sieht zu Chip. „Was hältst du davon..?“ und damit meint er die Tatsache das Auto nochmal zu besprühen. Auf Wunsch. „Ist das nicht das was du willst, Pendejo?“ Jinoh ist ja auch noch da. Der Asiate der zu lange in einer spanischen Gang unterwegs war. Los Valentinos. Gut dass das vorbei ist. Deren Einfluss haben Jinoh unausstehlich gemacht. Aber jetzt wo er den Durchbruch hatte, sind nur noch ein paar Fetzten aus der Vergangenheit über geblieben. Blaze sieht zu seinem Nachbarn auf. „Was meinst du?“ Jinoh schnappt sich ein Bier und öffnet es gekonnt. „Was denkst du wovon ein Künstler lebt? Von illegalen Bildern wo sie keiner haben will? Denk mal nach, Junge.“ Warum mögen sie den aufgeblasenen Kerl nochmal? Zu behaupten er würde nicht nachdenken, ist eine ziemlich grobe Unterstellung. „Is mir schon klar....“ Blaze sieht den Fitnesstrainer genervt an. „Aber darum gings bei der Karre gar nicht.“ „Um was dann?“ Blaze stutzt. Gute Frage. „Ich wollte diese kack Kreidefarbe nicht verschwenden. Wenigsten i r g e n d w a s damit machen.“ Ja das wars. Er hatte sich beim kauf vertan und wollte die vollen Dosen nicht in den Müll werfen. Die Karre der Fouché ist alt und hat sich angeboten. Und mit einem Besuch in der Waschstrasse wäre die Sache erledigt gewesen. Ein harmloser Streich im Gegensatz zu anderen Sachen die sie schon veranstaltet haben. Aber dann hat der Proschinsky sich eingemischt und sie verars cht und nun... „Abwaschbare Farbe auf einem Auto ist also keine Verschwendung?“ fragt der muskulöse Asiate. „Ne! Weils Spass gemacht hat.“ Jinoh nickt. "Und das jetzt nochmal zu tun, mit echter Farbe, so dass es für alle Sichtbar bestehen bleibt... quasi Werbung für euch... macht keinen Spass?“ Blaze stutzt. Seit wann ist der Typ so ein Klugscheisser? „Die Karre ist mir doch völlig egal. Die Aussicht auf einen schockiertes Gesicht der Fouché war der Kick.“   Jinoh schüttelt den Kopf. „Du denkst zu kleine Blazerino... viel zu klein.“ „Ach halt doch den Rand.“ gibt Blaze ohne nachzudenken zurück. Oh Mist. „Sag das nochmal.“ sagt Jinoh leicht aufgebracht. Jeder hier kennt den Bodybuilder. Der breiteste Kerl hier. Er ist nicht nur viel stärker als jeder andere hier, er ist auch derjenige der hier alle nach ihren Wünschen versorgt. Nicht umsonst kann Jinoh es sich leisten in Blazes Nachbarschaft zu wohnen. Und Jinoh will man nicht zum Feind. Blaze bemerkt seinen Fehler, will sich das aber nicht ansehen lassen. Da muss er jetzt durch. Er wird hier nicht klein bei geben. Nicht vor Nadine. „Hast mich schon verstanden..“ sagt er und steht auf. Blaze wirkt ziemlich klein wie er da vor Jinoh steht. Da kann er sich aufplustern wie er will. Das er grade ein wenig schiss kriegt, verbirgt er geschickt. Wen Jinoh wollte, könnte er Blaze mit einem Faustschlag bis nach Windenburg katapultieren. Blaze wartet auf das was jetzt kommt. Wenn er eine rein gedrückt bekommt, dann soll ers jetzt hinter sich bringen. Jinoh ist klar dass Blaze grade nur zu stolz ist. Und ihm ist auch klar das er jetzt zu schlagen könnte und Blaze das weiss. Dämliche Teenager... müssen auch immer die Klappe aufreissen. Jinoh verliert keine Respektpunkte wenn er sich Blazes Verhalten gefallen lässt. Zu Blazes Glück. Der Riese greift Blaze vorn am Shirt und stösst ihn zurück auf die Bank. Blaze, wieder sitzend, sieht zu ihm auf. „Scheisse, ich hab kein Bock auf dein Ego heute Blaze. Ich komme grade von einer echt bescheuerten Party. Erst gabs ewig kein Essen, das Bier war die reinste Plörre und am Ende gabs einen riesen Aufstand weil angeblich die Bowle vergiftet war. Tz...“ Jinoh trinkt vom Bier und ergänzt. „Und dann war da noch dieser komplett zugedröhnte Typ der sich selbst nicht mehr gespürt hat.“ Jinoh äfft besagten Typ nach: „Meine Schwester, meine Schwester... wo ist sie?“ Der Grosse schüttelt den Kopf. „Mindestens zwei mal kam er hackedicht an, klang nach nem Russen. Hat sich an mich dran gehängt und nach einer.... Irina gefragt die weggelaufen sei. Was ein Psycho.“ Blaze sagt nichts. Von was für einer Party spricht er und warum hat Blaze davon nichts gewusst? „Hast du die Bowle vergiftet?“ fragt Nadine. Auch nicht schlecht Jinoh das zu unterstellen. Aber Jinoh steigt nicht darauf ein. „Nope, ich wars nicht. Hatte nichts dabei. Dachte finde da ein paar neue Kunden fürs Studio. Aber war nix. Ich sag ja, die Party war scheisse.“ Jinoh schaut auf die Uhr. „Und? Was habt ihr noch vor?“

540 Local Elected Officials From All 50 States Urge Prez Trump to Import More Refugees to U.S.

Joe Biden has promised to make this happen, including taking in foreigners from terrorist hotspots around the world. In fact, Joe Biden was one of the original architects of the fraud-ridden refugee program that has destroyed neighborhoods across the U.S.

I told you here that the refugee industry was working on a letter to the President urging him to get the refugee flow into America moving again.

Yesterday they sent the letter with 540 signatories.

Says Amnesty International:

By signing this letter, these elected officials have joined together to voice their commitment to welcoming refugees in their communities and reviving the United States’ legacy as a leader in refugee resettlement.

I notice something missing from the letter. It avoids giving the President a number, but the industry has made it very clear!

They want 95,000 refugees to begin arriving on October first.

The President could make a decision this month on how many refugees might be invited to live in the US in FY2021. He could also legally set the ceiling at zero.

I don’t know why the organizers think that these open borders advocates will hold any sway with the President, but they sure make it handy for you to identify the other side where you live. Target them for retirement when they come up for re-election!

Sechste Woche in Riga

Mensch, die Woche ging aber schnell rum. Ich habe wieder vieles erlebt und arbeitstechnisch hatte ich auch gut zu tun.  Da wir letzte Woche nicht mit den Abrechnungen fertig geworden sind, haben wir diese Woche genutzt, diese zu beenden. Kleiner Spoiler: Wir sind wieder nicht fertig geworden. Es ist einfach ziemlich viel, was gemacht werden muss. Außerdem bin ich der letzte Praktikant, der die deutschen Abrechnungsdokumente erstellen, überprüfen und absenden kann. Gražina - Regina wird eigentlich so geschrieben, wie ich vor kurzem erfahren habe - ist für die Dokumente zuständig, die an die lettischen Behörden geschickt werden müssen. Allerdings habe ich es geschafft, die Monate bis November fertigzustellen und auf der DAAD-Homepage hochzuladen. Es fehlt lediglich, den Monat Dezember und den Etat abzusenden. Ansonsten habe ich noch E-Mails geschrieben und ein paar Veranstaltungsbeschreibungen korrigiert.  Darüber hinaus haben wir eine neue Praktikantin. Sie heißt Dana, kommt aus Riga und ist für unser Social Media zuständig. Und am Mittwoch hatte Gražina ihren letzten Arbeitstag. Sie brachte einen leckeren Kuchen mit, erzählte uns über ihre Zeit im Hochschulkontor und verabschiedete sich.  Mir ist zudem was ganz Gruseliges passiert: Als ich allein im Büro war, fiel einfach so aus heiterem Himmel ein Buch aus dem Regal. Es stand nicht mal auf der Kippe. Tja, im Büro spukt es wohl. 

Zu den Mittagspausen gibt es leider nicht so viel zu sagen, da wir die nur in der Cafeteria verbracht haben. Das fand ich echt schade, weil mir die Abwechslung gefehlt hat. In der Cafeteria gibt es halt jeden Tag immer das gleiche Essen. Aber immerhin schmeckt es. 

Freizeittechnisch hat die Woche mit dem Café “Kuuka” angefangen, wo wir bereits letzte Woche waren. Anders als letzte Woche war es diesmal ziemlich leer, sodass wir zu dritt einen schönen Platz erhaschen konnten. Lustigerweise waren da zwei ältere Frauen, die wohl das Smartphone für sich entdeckt haben. Sie haben ziemlich viel fotografiert und waren einfach geflasht vom Café. Ich hatte übrigens einen Latte Macchiato und ein Sandwich mit Bacon und Ei. Jetzt sollte eigentlich ein Foto folgen, aber leider habe ich vergessen, eins zu machen.  Am Mittwoch waren wir im Restaurant “Ogle”. Das war richtig gut. Als Vorspeise hatte ich Hummus mit Pita-Brot und eine Chicken-Barbecue-Pizza als Hauptspeise. Das Getränk war ein hausgemachter Eistee. Alles hat sehr lecker geschmeckt und es war ein tolles Ambiente. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. 

Des Weiteren waren wir im Restaurant “Tokio City”. Das erste Mal in meinem Leben habe ich mit Stäbchen gegessen. Und ich muss sagen, das hat echt gut geklappt. Das Restaurant war größer als gedacht und es arbeiten dort keine Japaner. Ich hatte ein Gericht mit Schweinefleisch, Kartoffeln, Zwiebeln und einer richtig leckeren Pilzsauce. Auch klassische Sushi mit Avocado und Lachs habe ich mir gegönnt.

Am Freitagabend ging unsere nächste Reise los: Wir fuhren nach Tallinn, der Hauptstadt von Estland. Einige Tage zuvor erwarben wir die notwendigen Bustickets und buchten eine Unterkunft. Für die Hin- und Rückfahrt bezahlte ich knappe 24 Euro und 18 Euro für zwei Nächte im Hostel. Also, 42 Euro für eine Reise nach Estland, wieder einmal: Klasse! Wie bei der letzten Reise nach Litauen fuhren wir mit einem Bus des baltischen Verkehrsunternehmens “Ecolines”. Was soll ich sagen? Kostenloses WLAN und das Internet funktioniert selbst dann, wenn der Bus im Nirgendwo fährt. Leider hatten wir diesmal keine extrem motivierte Stewardess namens Tatjana, die die Durchsagen auf insgesamt drei Sprachen machte. Wir hatten gar keine Stewardess.  Die viereinhalbstündige Fahrt ging relativ schnell vorbei und wir kamen ungefähr um 23:30 Uhr in Tallinn an. Da keine öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel mehr fuhren und das Hostel etwa 2,5 Kilometer entfernt war, entschieden wir uns, ein Taxi zu nehmen. Komischerweise konnte uns der Taxifahrer nicht genau sagen, wo sich das Hostel befindet, weswegen er uns lediglich in die von Google Maps angezeigte Straße brachte. In einer verwinkelten Straße fanden wir schließlich das “Imaginary Hostel”. Wir checkten ein und erhielten kurz danach auch schon die Bettwäsche und den Schlüssel für das 8-Bett-Zimmer. Wir betraten das Zimmer, machten das Bett fertig und gingen ins öffentliche Bad. Beim Zähneputzen stellte sich uns ein russischsprachiger Este vor, der uns Prügelgeschichten erzählte und stolz seine Waffe zeigte. Joa, just hostel things. Die Nacht habe ich tief und fest geschlafen, ganz anders als mein Kumpel. Anscheinend stand die Polizei bei uns im Zimmer und hat einen alkoholisierten Mann festgenommen, der verdächtigt wurde, im Hostel Sachen zu klauen. Allerdings wurde er wieder freigelassen und legte sich in das Bett unter meinem Kumpel.  Am Morgen frühstückten wir im “Reval Café. Wir mussten uns etwas beeilen, weil wir an einer Free-Walking-Tour teilnehmen wollten. Ich hatte Spicy Glasnudeln mit Entenfleisch und - wer hätte es gedacht - einen Kaffee. 

Hiernach gingen wir zum Treffpunkt der Tour. Es sind sehr viele Leute erschienen, weswegen wir in zwei Gruppen aufgeteilt wurden. Unser Tourguide hieß Marko, der uns zunächst eine kleine Zusammenfassung über die Geschichte Estlands gab. Die fängt etwa im 13. Jahrhundert an und ist geprägt von wechselnder Fremdherrschaft. Zuerst unter Dänemark, später unter dem Deutschen Orden, dann unter Polen-Litauen und Schweden und zuletzt unter Russland. Seit 1991 ist Estland unabhängig. Danach führte er uns zum sogenannten Freedom Square, der anlässlich des 18. Jahrestages der Unabhängigkeit Estlands erbaut wurde. Heute ist der Freiheitsplatz einer der wichtigsten Plätze in Tallinn und Veranstaltungsort zahlreicher öffentlicher Ereignisse. Lustigerweise können die Esten den Platz nicht ausstehen, weil er 9 Millionen Euro gekostet hat und nach ihrem Empfinden ziemlich hässlich aussieht. 

Darüber hinaus liefen wir zum Parlament Estlands. Zufälligerweise fanden letzte Woche die Wahlen statt. Noch laufen Sondierungsgespräche, um eine Koalition zu bilden, aber es könnte sein, dass die Ämter des Präsidenten und des Premierministers von Frauen ausgeübt werden. Somit wäre Estland das zweite Land auf der Welt, in dem beide Ämter gleichzeitig von Frauen bekleidet werden. Aber nicht nur in diesem Fall ist Estland ziemlich fortschrittlich. Auch in der Digitalisierung ist das Land anderen Ländern weit voraus. Estland verfügt über die meisten Internetanschlüsse pro Kopf weltweit und garantiert seit dem Jahr 2000 per Gesetz seinen Bürgern einen Zugriff auf das Internet. Außerdem hat das Land das weltweit technologisch modernste Verwaltungssystem, womit jeder Bürger eine ID-Nummer besitzt. Auch ist es seit 2007 möglich, über das Internet an Wahlen teilzunehmen oder Rezepte vom Arzt zu empfangen. Im PISA-Ranking von 2015 erreichten Estlands Schüler Platz 3 von 72 Ländern in Naturwissenschaften. Direkt neben des Parlaments steht die größte christlich-orthodoxe Kirche Estlands. Das Parlament ist übrigens nicht das einzige rosafarbige Gebäude in Tallinn.

Irgendwann brachte uns Marko zu zwei Aussichtsplattformen. Von da aus hatte man wunderbare Ausblicke auf ganz Tallinn. Sei es die Altstadt, die Neustadt oder auch die Baltische Ostsee. Wir hatten glücklicherweise ein echt fantastisches Wetter. Blauer Himmel mit Schnee.

Je mehr ich von der Stadt sah, desto mehr empfand ich einen skandinavischen Touch. Während Vilnius in Litauen sehr mediterran geprägt ist, hat Tallinn viele finnische Einflüsse. Beginnend von Holzhäusern bis hin zur Sprache. Wirklich, die Sprache unterscheidet sich ja sowas von von der lettischen oder litauischen Sprache. Außerdem ist die Sprache zusätzlich sehr schwer zu lernen, weil es kein Geschlecht und kein Futur besitzt. 

Einmal erzählte uns unser Tourguide Marko eine Saga über einen Brunnen in der Altstadt. Angeblich soll dort damals ein Monster gelebt haben, welches nur zufriedengestellt werden konnte, wenn es Katzen gegessen hat. Aus diesem Grund haben die Bürger damals streunende Katzen in den Brunnen geworfen, um sie zu opfern. Traurig, aber wahr. 

Nach der Free-Walking-Tour machten wir unsere eigene Stadterkundung. Zuerst liefen wir zurück zu den Aussichtsplattformen, um nochmal die Ausblicke zu genießen. Danach fuhren wir zur Küste, um das berühmte Denkmal “Russalka” zu besichtigen. Auf dem Weg dahin holten wir uns aber noch an einem der vielen Holzwagen einen Glögg. Der skandinavische Glühwein hat echt lecker geschmeckt.

Angekommen am Denkmal, mussten wir leider feststellen, dass die Küste abgesperrt war und man nicht an das Meer gelangen konnte. Wir sind übrigens mit dem Bus hingefahren. Eine Fahrt kostet für Studenten nur 1 Euro. Das Russalka-Denkmal wurde 1902 erbaut und soll an den Untergang des russischen Marineschiffs Rusalka im Jahr 1893 erinnern. 

Die Stadterkundung setzten wir fort, indem wir weiterspaziert sind. Wir liefen eine Allee entlang, entdeckten viele interessante Gassen, sahen die Reste der Stadtmauer und fuhren einmal mit einer kleinen Straßenbahn mit lustigen Bänken. 

Natürlich bekamen wir irgendwann Hunger, sodass wir beschlossen, in einem estnischen Restaurant zu essen. Ich hatte einen traditionellen Schweinebraten mit Sauerkraut, Ofenkartoffeln und starker Senfsauce. Und das Ganze mit einem schwarzen Tee. Schöne Ambiente, tolles Essen und gute Bedienung: Top!

Somit endete auch der erlebnisreiche Tag in Tallinn. Nun besitze ich einen Überblick über alle drei baltischen Hauptstädte. Allerdings werde ich keinen Favoriten nennen, denn ich habe keinen. Oder besser gesagt: Ich mag alle drei Städte sehr doll. Jede Stadt unterscheidet sich gänzlich von der anderen. Während Estland Einflüsse aus Skandinavien hat, gibt es in Riga mehr Verbindungen zum Slawischen. Und Vilnius ist wie bereits beschrieben sehr mediterran. Ich kann wirklich jedem nur nahelegen, die baltischen Staaten zu besichtigen. Meiner Meinung nach sind Estland, Lettland und Litauen immer noch sehr unterschätzte Reiseziele.  Die letzte Nacht im Hostel war echt ein Schnarch-Festival. Der Eine lauter als der Andere. Am Sonntag fuhren wir zurück nach Riga. Um den Tag schön ausklingen zu lassen, sind wir am gleichen Tag noch nach Kūdra gefahren, wo wir vor zwei Wochen waren. Uns hat letztes Mal das dortige Restaurant “Osīši“ so sehr gefallen, dass wir uns gesagt haben, dass wir nochmal dahin müssen. Ich hatte einen Teller mit Schweinefleisch nach Jägerart, Pommes und Salat. Mit einem Orangensaft bezahlte ich insgesamt 6,90 Euro. Es ist einfach richtig gut da. Wenn man mal in Riga ist, muss man unbedingt in dieses eine Stunde entfernte Nirgendwo fahren.

From desert reservoirs to mountain streams, BLM-managed fisheries and aquatic resources support public recreation and subsistence fisheries and are critical for sustaining the Nation’s aquatic resources and fisheries. BLM-managed public lands are open for fishing unless specifically closed for specific resource protection purposes.

Gulkana Wild and Scenic River, Alaska

The Gulkana River begins in the Alaska Range near Summit Lake and flows south into the Copper River, which eventually empties into the Gulf of Alaska between Cordova and Katalla. Several hundred lakes and ponds are scattered throughout the spruce-dominated forest of the Gulkana River watershed, providing abundant nesting areas for trumpeter swans and waterfowl.

Portions of the Gulkana River were designated for its wild character as part of the National Wild and Scenic River system. The BLM asks that all users do their part to help maintain the wild character of the Gulkana through low impact camping techniques.

Lake Havasu, Arizona

Lake Havasu is a premier destination for water-based recreation, especially for boating enthusiasts and sport anglers.The BLM Arizona Lake Havasu Field Office maintains 87 boat-access-only campsites along the Lake Havasu shoreline, as well as a handful of day use areas and campgrounds south of Parker Dam on the California side of the Colorado River.

Recreationists will now be able to easily attain electronic recreation permits and annual passes for Lake Havasu shoreline sites through the digital marketplace, YourPassNow. More information available on our website.

Trinity Wild and Scenic River, California

Popular with fisherman and pleasure boaters alike, the 43 miles of the Wild and Scenic Trinity River from Lewiston to Pigeon Point is a class I and II segment that flows out of the Trinity and Lewiston Lakes. This clear, cold section of the river is world famous for its fly fishing. Paddlers enjoy the narrow valley with Ponderosa Pine, Douglas fir, Oaks, and Madrone trees coating the walls of the canyons. If you would like more adrenaline rush, the waters below Pigeon Point rage at class III-V. Those interested in a more relaxing experience can enjoy the abundant camping options in the area or head for the trail with your friends, horses, or dog. If you would like to stay at the river's edge, you can always swim, fish or do a little gold panning. The river can be accessed from many locations along this stretch of the Trinity River.

Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area, Colorado

The Arkansas River is one of the most popular river-rafting spots in the United States. The area also provides some of the best fishing in Colorado. The spectacular scenery is highlighted by the steep, narrow, rocky canyons that provide excellent opportunities to view Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. There are over 25 developed river-access areas. Popular activities include rockhounding at Ruby Mountain, fishing for brown trout at Hecla Junction, and wildlife-watching at the Five Points Watchable Wildlife Area in Bighorn Sheep Canyon. The area is jointly managed by the BLM and Colorado Parks and Wildlife. 

South Fork of the Snake River, Idaho

The South Fork of the Snake River flows for 66 miles across southeastern Idaho, through high mountain valleys, rugged canyons, and broad flood plains to its confluence with the Henrys Fork of the Snake near the Menan Buttes. It flows northwest from Palisades Dam in Swan Valley. For the first nine miles, the river runs through a narrow channel, then widens and flows around several island complexes. A waterfall can be seen just upstream from the Swan Valley Bridge where Fall Creek cascades into the river. Downstream of Conant launch the river leaves Highway 26 and enters a scenic canyon. The impressive canyon scenery continues downstream until near Heise Hot Springs the cliffs give way to a level, but extremely dynamic, flood plain.

Upper Missouri National Wild and Scenic River, Montana

The Missouri is the longest river in the United States, flowing more than 2,500 miles from its source on the eastern slope of the Rockies near Three Forks, Montana, to its confluence with the Mississippi River at St. Louis, Missouri. Congress designated 149 miles of the Upper Missouri as a component of the National Wild and Scenic River System in 1976, calling it an irreplaceable legacy of the historic American west. The Upper Missouri National Wild and Scenic River section starts at Fort Benton, Montana, and runs 149 miles downstream ending at the James Kipp Recreation Area.

49 species of fish (ranging from 1/2-oz. minnows to 140 lb. paddlefish) reside in the river. Fishermen are most likely to catch goldeye, drum, sauger, walleye, northern pike, channel catfish, carp and smallmouth buffalo.

For the family who plays together, the Upper Missouri caters to boaters of all degrees, from the beginning novice to the expert paddler to the leisurely motor boat aficionado. Visitors embark into a capacious river corridor that seemingly swallows even the largest groups and are treated to a remoteness not often found in the 21st Century.

Pine Forest Recreation Area, Nevada

The Pine Forest Range, in northern Nevada's arid Great Basin, is a rare and exceptional area of abundant streams and clear, cold subalpine lakes. Nestled in a cirque and fed by snowmelt and springs, these lakes are not only visually stunning but also possess an excellent trout fishery. The lakes are surrounded by a rare remnant population of white bark and limber pines; stands of quaking aspen and mountain mahogany are also found throughout the area. Fall brings a riot of color found in few other places in northern Nevada.

Gila Lower Box Canyon, New Mexico

The Gila Lower Box Canyon is a true oasis in the desert, 20 miles north of Lordsburg, New Mexico. Since livestock were removed from the river canyon in 1990, a lush native community of cottonwood, willows, and other riparian and aquatic vegetation has re-established and flourished. The area provides some of the best birding in New Mexico. Home to approximately 200 species, it has one of the highest bird diversities in the state. The area provides habitat to many rare and unusual birds including Bell's vireo, peregrine, bald eagle (in winter), golden eagle, black hawk, zone-tail hawk, gray hawk, yellow-billed cuckoo, Gila wood pecker, and Abert's towhee. The river provides opportunities for canoeing or rafting during spring runoff, hunting, and year-round fishing and camping. The river contains smallmouth bass and several species of catfish.

Quartzville Creek Wild and Scenic River, Oregon

Tranquility and water both flow in the wild and scenic Quartzville Creek, where one may hike, camp, fish or simply gaze into the mesmerizing, cascading waters. Quartzville Creek is named for the gemstone that has been mined in the area and a ghost town that was once the center of two brief gold mining efforts in the late 1800s.

Birch Creek Reservoir, Utah

Birch Creek Reservoir is a day-use fishing access site with public parking and toilet facilities adjacent to an excellent tiger trout fishery at the foot of the Monte Cristo Mountains in Rich County, UT. The site is located 10 miles west of Woodruff, UT off State Route 39. Access to the reservoir is walk-in only, non-motorized watercraft only. No fees are charged.

Wisconsin Islands, Wisconsin

Wisconsin, famed for its 84,000 miles of rivers that meander through varying terrain and its 15,000 lakes, is full of places to paddle, float, and fish. Many islands in this region were omitted from the original land surveys conducted in the 1830s and 1840s. Because of this, there is a mixing of ownership between state-owned, privately owned islands. For those under federal management, the BLM - Eastern States administers to almost 500 islands throughout the area. Because of this varied ownership, it's critical that visitors determine whether an island is public land before using it.

The flowages between Stevens Point and Nekoosa are chock-full of more than 60 public islands, ranging from small, low patches of willows and alder, to large stands of mixed pines and hardwoods. Below Castle Rock Lake, the islands down to Prairie du Sac are mostly floodplain forests with broad sandbars that invite paddler-campers. A few of these islands have remnant prairie and savanna vegetation.

Many public islands are perfect fishing spots, lunch stops for your next float trip, or overnight campsites. North Platte River, Wyoming

The North Platte River is the only floatable waterway in central Wyoming and has become the destination fishery for the state. Scenic and recreational values of the North Platte River are derived from a combination of environmental factors and management practices. The river is highly valued as a class 1 fishery. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has rated it as a blue ribbon fishery. Game fish species include rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout. The most common recreation activities are fishing, floating, waterfowl hunting, and observing wildlife. There are also opportunities for picnicking and camping. This river has become a vital part of the social and economic values of central Wyoming.

ll anglers on public lands must have the required state license(s). That’s because states are responsible for managing wildlife within their borders for the trust and benefit of their residents, even if the hunting occurs on federal lands. You can search for state fishing licenses on the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service website.
