September 1991. Once again, the TANK GIRL COLOUR CLASSICS is spotty on bibliographic stuff, but I think this Tank Girl poster is half of the fold-out from the poster magazine included with DEADLINE #33. (I know Tank Girl has always been about style over substance, but somebody's gotta keep track of this stuff.)
Movie poster by an unknown artist, distributed by the National Screen Service (#64/117), for the 1964 American-International Pictures feature film Muscle Beach Party.
Peter Lorre had a small part in the film. It was his penultimate picture, and he died two days before it was released. This was 13-year-old Stevie Wonder's first film.

BEACH BLANKET BINGO (1965)
The surfing gang rescues a beautiful singer from evil bikers.
Another break from the book and another Halloween drawing. I was working on the book and watching the Muppet Show on Disney+ when I got a bit distracted. In episode 2 of season 2 Statler and Waldorf decide to watch television instead of the show being presented on the stage. They mention that they are watching Beach Blanket Frankenstein. While that was a throwaway joke it made me wonder what the poster for that movie might look like so here is my interpretation of it.
Since it's summertime, I thought it'd be fun to take a look at a bygone movie subgenre: the beach party films of the 1960s. This video from the YouTube channel "The Royal Ocean Film Society" will tell you all about it.
