One Direction's Life Path Numbers
Recently I've been on a bit of a spiritual journey, and something I've been getting into a little bit is numerology. I have a family member who's very good with numerology, and I started learning about life path numbers and angel numbers. So, for funsies, I did the math on the life path numbers of every 1D member! Here's what they all mean.
Louis - 11 is his life path number
This one is really interesting, because it's something called a master number. Typically, a life path number will be a single digit between 1-9, but some people's life path is 11, 22, or 33, aka master numbers. Master numbers tend to be heavier and bear heavier lessons, to my understanding.
11 is a particularly spiritual and intuitive number. People with the 11 life path number tend to be late bloomers in life, finding their way at a slower pace. 11s tend to be highly sensitive, sometimes to the point of being psychic, and this ties into their heightened spirituality and being in-tuned with the universe. They tend to have strong mental energy, and all master numbers tend to be old souls.
Louis also, of course, associates himself with the number 28, which boils down to a 1 (2 + 8 = 10, 1 + 0 = 1). The angel number 28 tends to represent abundance, confidence, joy, and realizing your dreams. This seems to be a number of strong manifestation, and I'm curious if that's why Louis likes it so much. The number 1 tends to represent new beginnings, and, interestingly, divine support. Louis' numerology seem to bring up a lot of spiritual, intuitive, and divine themes. I love that for him.
Harry, Zayn, and Niall - 8 is their life path number
I'm combining these three because they have the same life path number, which is very interesting considering they're all in the same career field! 8 is a number of great success and great wealth, usually representing someone hardworking and capable of a lot. A natural leader, someone resilient, someone balanced. This makes a great deal of sense for all 3 of them, with their highly successful solo careers and individual music styles.
8 is also a very material number- which doesn't always mean money. Material as in the material world, as opposed to the spiritual one. These people tend to be successful in this world, but may forgo exploring the metaphysical world as much as they should. This is also really interesting for these 3, knowing Zayn is a nonpracticing muslim and Harry is spiritual in some way (iirc he and Zayn both believe in God?). I don't know enough about Niall's spirituality or lacktherof to add anything about him, though.
And lastly, life path number 8s tend to see themselves as providers for their families and close circles, utilizing their hardwork and material success to provide what those they care about need. I really love this bit.
Liam - 5 is his life path number
Not to be confused with his angel number, which is 444. To my understanding, a life path number is mathematically calculated by your birthday, whereas an angel number is a number you feel spiritually connected to and/or see a lot in your life. For example, my life path number is 4, but my angel number is 7 (or 777). Liam's life path is 5, and his angel number is 4 (or 444).
The life path number 5 tends to represent freedom, adventure, and a dynamic approach to life. These people are often free spirits, restless, and always on the move be it physically or spiritually. This is fascinating for Liam, and makes sense to me.
5s tend to have a variety of talents- again, a staple of Liam. He's a singer, songwriter, artist, and so much more. These people also tend to be very resourceful, which makes sense with being adventurous and a free spirit.
His angel number 444 seems to represent preparing for success, allowing yourself to be guided spiritually, and manifesting clarity. This makes sense for Liam, gaining clarity within the chaos that a life path of 5 can bring.
. . .
Overall this was really interesting to dig into. I'm not super into numerology, not as much as others may be, but I still find life path numbers and angel numbers fascinating. I hope this was a fun or interesting read, even if you aren't a spiritual person.

Cedric
Tumblr media
A talented singer, songwriter and musician in his own right, Cedric spent most of his life working to hone his craft. Eldest child out of three in his family home life was far from ideal - his father was almost never home, usually "working", off drinking or with countless unknown women, mother having to sell her body by night to help make ends meet while trying to raise the children, he had to mature rather quickly.
Even still, Cedric was able to find his passion in life - music. It became not only a way to help soothe and comfort his siblings when things were bad at home, but a means of him being able to express everything he struggled to voice otherwise. Even if he couldn't afford things like music lessons, it seemed the world had other plans for him.
Not long after starting his second year of elementary school his music teacher was the one that noted the young boy's interest in instruments and knack for reading sheet music. It was all thanks to one discussion after class one day that Cedric was given the chance to properly learn how to play the piano, read and write music. Every chance he got he was in the music room, practicing, learning, writing and playing.
Tumblr media
Thanks to all of his hard work and a letter of recommendation from both the teacher and principal of his elementary school, Cedric was able to have his music lessons during high school covered by a scholarship. In the eyes of many he was viewed as a prodigy, being able to pass his classes with ease, flourish in his extra lessons, effectively raise his younger siblings himself ... But no one knew just how much this would damage him.
In his teens Cedric had one girlfriend. He was never very good with people - mostly due to being far too busy to keep up with a social life - so when this girl showed what he thought was a genuine interest in him, he thought this would be something that lasted. How wrong he was. This girl claimed she loved him, praised him to his face, made countless promises, but it was all for show. Behind his back she would rant about his lack of affection, how little attention he paid to her or did for her, spread countless rumours about him, but he had no idea. At least until graduation.
Cedric had been given a full scholarship to a prestigious performing arts school, something he'd only ever dreamt of, but his girlfriend at the time decided she'd had enough of their, as she put it, unfulfilling relationship. At the celebration being held after their graduation ceremony she had gotten rather drunk, something not abnormal among a number of the students, and after getting him alone? Attempted to force herself on him. When Cedric rebuffed her advances, she used this as a means to not only physically assault him in drunken anger, but admit she'd been sleeping around behind his back.
Tumblr media
That night was both the end of the relationship and the last of the trust he felt he could put in just about anyone. Friends became even more of a rarity, Cedric focusing even more than ever before on his music and siblings.
Before he could graduate from university, his father died from alcohol poisoning. That alone was hardly enough to affect him, truth be told, as he'd never really known the man, but then was the loss of his mother two months before finishing his studies, leaving him alone as the caretaker for his two younger siblings.
So how did he manage to look after them? Cedric first became a ghost writer for various singers and bands. What few friends he had were able to help him make connections in the music industry, and it seemed many of the songs he had a hand in became quite popular, leading to more than decent income to help support his siblings.
Nowadays though Cedric is a singer in his own right, performing and recording the songs he himself has written. He's gained quite the widespread following now, but more than anything he's just glad he can give his siblings a more worry - free life.
His main instruments are the piano/keyboard and guitar
Many of his songs have some hints to his past, but he won't admit it openly
His younger siblings are currently 10 and 12
Demiromantic, unsure of sexuality
190cm tall
Despite his history he can be a bit of a goofball when around his siblings or people he genuinely trusts
Cannot dance to save his life
Very romantic by nature. Loves poetry, tends to use very flowery language in his songs

During the first 10 minutes of John Mulaney’s interview for Rolling Stone’s “Last Word” column — where pop-culture icons reflect on their work, success, and the lessons they’ve learned along the way — he holds forth on the following topics: Eurovision, the campy, annual global pop-song contest; the Songwriters Hall of Fame; and the memoir of Jimmy Webb, the songwriter-composer behind “Wichita Lineman” and “MacArthur Park.”
“Please feel free to include literally anything we discussed,” Mulaney says before we jump into the real interview questions, “because it’ll be far more interesting than anything about my career.”
Mulaney’s restless brain ricochets seamlessly between the highbrow and lowbrow. He’s hardly short on confidence, yet even when he says, “I’ve always been so famous in my own head,” you can see the wheels turning on how that remark might be misperceived.
But being both a cultural omnivore and a frank truth-teller have served him well. Over the past 15-plus years, his star has risen steadily to the point that he now dominates every medium he enters, from voiceover movie work to TV appearances to his own specials and, as of last year, late-night. His Netflix talk-variety show, John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s in L.A., was a six-episode absurdist experiment that blended wildly disparate guests, musical acts, pre-taped bits, and esoteric performances (“Why is Waingro from Heat doing standup?”). It was intended to be a one-off as part of the streamer’s semi-annual Netflix Is a Joke festival. But it was such a sensation, they invited him to keep it going.
With Wednesday’s release of Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney, the comedian expands on the show’s initial premise, with Michael Keaton, Joan Baez, Fred Armisen, Cypress Hill, and personal finance columnist Jessica Roy joining him for the first episode. Here, some words of wisdom from the host himself, delivered live from Los Angeles, by Zoom.
Editor’s picks
What are the most important rules that you live by? Never plan more than three months in the future. “Live by,” not “work by.” Don’t eat crackers or anything like that in bed. Even if you keep the plate right under your chin, they end up at your feet. And an easy one, but: Nobody knows nothin’.
No one’s an expert. [We have a] complete inability to ever discuss scenarios that actually will happen, and we are often on the wrong thread.
Give me a real-life example of that. One of my first agents, Hugh Fitzpatrick, we had this call in 2005 [about how] ABC was hearing pitches from comedians that were 23 years old for mini-pilot ideas. I asked him, “What types of shows do they want?” And he paused and said, “Oh, they want hits.” And that really stuck with me, like, “Oh, right, they just want whatever would work, and they want the thing that no one else would do that seems like it won’t work, but then works.”
The “horse being loose in a hospital” joke was about President [Trump], but it’s more of a joke about [how] we’re not good at predicting anything. Seven minutes before 9/11, we were all looking for Chandra Levy. We’re just not really on it, and we’ve never been on it. I guess there were these psychics back in the day who would make their New Year’s predictions and some of them would come true. But that’s probably not true, either.
Did any psychics in 2019 predict Covid? This is what I will be Googling after this interview. I was told that Sylvia Browne, the woman who was, on the regular, unmasked on Montel as being not psychic…
She’d tell parents of missing children if they were alive or dead and be completely wrong. Oh, yeah, I think that was her bread and butter. I don’t know why I’m saying to a major publication that she predicted Covid way earlier.

Who are your heroes?  [SNL music producer] Hal Willner. Hal was a total completist. Any interest of Hal’s, he researched to the nth degree. He chased down every lead in a large project of knowledge that involves ventriloquists, John Cassavetes movies and TV shows, Nelson Riddle and Captain Beefheart albums, and obscure comics. Just this catholic knowledge of stuff that can only be described as “stuff Hal was into.” He liked so many things so much … He cared about a lot of stuff a lot, and people that are really into what they do really inspire me.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?  My dad told me if you’re on the phone with someone in a business conversation and you don’t like what they’re saying or how they’re countering, just say nothing. Silence makes people crazy. They’ll pause waiting for you to talk; you won’t. Then they’ll continue to talk. And then they’ll go, “Are you still there?” And you’ll go, “Uh huh.” And then they’ll start talking again. And he goes, “They’ll probably walk back everything they said or meet you at the terms you wanted, or they might even go above what you wanted, because they’re so uncomfortable.”
Have you ever tried that in your career? [Smiles.] Yeah.
Has it worked? [Smiles.] Yeah.
What’s the worst advice?  I won’t name them but [in 2015], an extremely powerful person in Hollywood was telling me that I have to always own all my IP, which is not possible. And the guy’s looking at me and goes, “I know people who are famous and not rich, and they’re miserable. And I know people who are rich and not famous …” and I, John Mulaney, say, “And they’re happy.” And he goes, “No, they’re miserable.” And he looks at me and goes, “You need both. You need to be rich and famous.” It was like a parody of meeting this person. I was like, “Is this a cut scene from The Devil’s Advocate?”
You were fairly famous at this point.  Not enough for this guy.
What advice do you wish you could give 2008 John Mulaney who’s auditioning for SNL and working on his first special?  As soon as you’re ready to leave Saturday Night Live, stay one more year. I wish I had. I didn’t realize that when you feel burnt out is not the moment to make a decision like that. In terms of other stuff, there were obviously a lot of twists and turns [in my life] after 2008-9, but I don’t know if the advice would’ve stuck. It wasn’t really an “advice would’ve solved that” situation. [Laughs.]I did get a lot of encouragement on various other problems.
What do you wish someone would have told you about being a celebrity growing up? I would have said to my child self, “It’s exactly like you picture it.” And I would have said to my 20-year-old self, “It’s exactly like you picture it.”
Why do you say that? [Pauses.] I hope this doesn’t come off badly, but I’ve always been so famous in my own head [laughs] that I don’t think my younger self would have been fazed at all. I just kinda was always a famous comedian in my head. The amount of times as a little kid I would interview myself — I was always, no matter at what stage, for some reason, processing the highs and lows of it.
Have you always been comfortable with fame? I’m a little embarrassed to say yes. I was always comfortable. It’s a little like living in a small town. “Hey John, how you doing?” “Hey, John.”
What comedians move you the most? There’s a Moth story with Taylor Negron talking about getting a pet monkey when he was a kid. And I watch it a lot for stage presence. He has the mic in the stand the whole time, and I’ve been doing that more lately. I just like his whole vibe in it. That story really touches me.
I really feel for this kid who wants a monkey, and then his uncle Ishmael finds a monkey that fell off the truck for Circus Vargas and he brings the monkey home, and the monkey would shit in people’s purses and make love to them.
What are the best and worst parts of success?  The best part is easy: It’s what you think. The audacious headline you dreamed up in your head once is actually written. And it just feels good. The worst part is your instincts were rewarded, but your instincts aren’t always right. I guess the lesson could be, “Everything I think of is good” [laughs]. It breeds a total confusion. I don’t walk away going, “I’m great at doing that.” I go, “How did he” — meaning me, one month in the past — “nail that?” And then I go, “I just kept doing whatever I wanted. But that can’t be it.”
In your career, you’ve never rested on your laurels. What drives that?  A bored John Mulaney is a dangerous thing. It’s more the curiosity of it and a very childish, “But I already did that.” Not always the most prudent motivation. My son says that, actually — “We already did that.” “I thought maybe you’d want to go back.” “No, we already went there. Find another indoor gymnasium.”
Do you get impostor syndrome?  No. Listen, one of my problems is not that I don’t feel really at home doing entertainment. I have other problems.
Your son, Malcolm, is three. Has fatherhood impacted your work? That’s a constant thought of “will I talk about this onstage?” But when my son was born — I have no distance from the relationship. I’ve talked about him onstage, but in a limited way. I have no take on him. I’m Hal Willner and he’s an R. Crumb comic. It’s total. There’s just no distance. I’m totally absorbed. He’s my guy.
At your first post-rehab show at New York’s City Winery in 2021, you told the audience, “You’re the longest, most intimate relationship of my life.” People applauded before you added, “That’s not a good thing.” How does it feel when a disconnect like that happens? I should have learned that most times when you mention the audience, they will applaud. [Laughs.] It’s a thing I learned the very first time I emceed at a club. Like, any reference to them, they will applaud. It’s that, “Saturday night, people are wild tonight. I don’t need to tell you that in Youngstown, though.” And they’re like, “Yeah!” You could say, “I’m so sick and so addicted to your praise.” And just by saying “you” and pointing…
Did that moment strike you as odd? I thought it was funny. It’s actually the perfect reaction. The only thing I would regret is [when I said] that’s not a good thing. Why editorialize?
You’re on a group text with Jimmy Kimmel and Nick Kroll about the band Kiss. What comes up the most? It’s mainly the [Gene Simmons Vault] Experience, which was something Gene was pushing for a while where you could go be amongst Kiss merchandise. When Nick and I were on Celebrity Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, I memorized a bunch of Gene Simmons quotes and I used them throughout the segment. There’s [also] a thread of me, Bill Hader, Fred Armisen, and Jimmy Kimmel that’s all about Van Halen and David Lee Roth and Alex and Eddie [Van Halen]. Interviews with Alex and Eddie about David is the platonic ideal.
Are you a fan of Kiss and Van Halen? How seriously or ironically are we treating this? Granted, [Kiss] have this body of work, but it’s always interesting to me, the people who got into anything like that for any reason other than enjoying the music. That’s certainly not Alex and Eddie [Van Halen]. I like Van Halen a lot, and I like Diamond Dave’s bluegrass album of covers [2006’s Strummin’ With the Devil]. I’m embarrassed to say, it’s kind of in my shuffle.
Billy Joel once said, “I met more girls by playing the piano and not trying to have a clever pickup line. And I realized the power of this stuff.”  That is very surprising. I would have thought he was like a piano prodigy who knew jazz and classical and rejected it for rock. That’s knowing nothing about him. If I were to pull that out of my hat, that would be my diagnosis.
Trending Stories
Will Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney be similar to Everybody’s in L.A.? I don’t know. It was this six-night pop-up show tied to a festival, and it was really fun to try. I felt like a lot of instinctual things worked out. I’m very committed to diving into irrelevance, never being relevant. This ties into a few things: recklessness, overplanning, and taking calls. A lot of stuff we did in the first six, we’ll continue.
The overriding sentiment seems to be that it was a show that shouldn’t have worked, but did.  Yeah. [Pauses.] Except that everything that shouldn’t work always does.

trigger warnings: brief mention of murder.
kwon jiha always had way more control over how ODYSSEUS operated than fans and even his own members would like to admit. THUNDER is a prime example of this privilege.
in late 2013, dominic would allow for jiha to curate a group with members of his choice, having full creativity to make their concept and produce their music alongside it. many now believe that even though jiha was only twenty at the time, dominic was preparing him for taking over ODYSSEUS when the time came that he could no longer operate it. whether he knew about his impending murder or not is unsure. and through a couple months of sitting through trainee practices and evaluations jiha chose his top trainees. for the first few months, they were referred to simply as “THE JIHA PROJECT”.
Tumblr media
the seven members quickly dropped like flies due to a mix of jiha’s high standards, and his inability to help them improve. he was never a sociable person and didn’t actually want to interact with the trainees, just make their music. plus he had his own group and their problems to deal with. so when the members weren’t improving, he just…scrapped them from the lineup. and seven went down to four just like that.
the four remaining members unsurprisingly were very similar to the TITANS members that came before them, likely the reason why jiha chose them. another one of dominic’s sons, elio (mirroring nicholas), the young prodigy trainee, jianwei (mirroring jiha), the overworking perfectionist, hyunsik (mirroring jaehwi), and the former star trainee before the current one came in, haewon (mirroring kihwan). why he didn’t learn his lesson from his own group? we’re unsure. maybe it took him getting the shit beat out of him by nicholas to learn.
Tumblr media
KIM HANBIN as MYUNG HAEWON (1996). LEADER, MAIN RAPPER, VOCALIST, SONGWRITER. JEONG YOONOH as JO HYUNSIK (1997). LEAD DANCER, SUB RAPPER, VOCALIST, VISUAL. XIAO DEJUN as YI JIANWEI (1999). MAIN VOCALIST, MAIN DANCER, PRODUCER. KIM SUNWOO as ELLIOT ‘ELIO’ KWON (2000). MAKNAE, LEAD RAPPER, DANCER, SUB VOCALIST.
when THUNDER (named after the loud music jiha had planned for them) debuted on july 4th, 2014 with their debut full album TRESPASS, jiha was surprised with how well they genuinely got along with each other, especially in comparison to the members of TITANS.
they actually liked each other. they hung out together in their free time, worked on making their music with jiha rather than just leaving it to him. it was…weird.
the group found success blending into their industry counterparts with their loud style, not winning any awards originally, but still holding their ground in popularity to the groups around them, even TITANS.
despite all of their music fitting a certain…stereotype of sorts, they manage to prevent it from sounding like the same noises over and over thanks to the input of members haewon and jianwei.
they’ve made a name for themselves without jiha and ODYSSEUS’ shadow, and opened many fans of TITANS to more loud and experimental music.

Hey, congratulations on graduating!
I have question to the breakdown from the song: I don't understand why 떨치다 becomes 떨쳐질까 when just-ㄹ까 needs to be added to the verb stem. Why isn't it 떨칠까?
Hello and thank you!! So sorry for the wait, but great question!
떨치다 is a verb meaning "to shake off." This is an active verb. When -아/어/여지다 is added to an active verb, however, turns the verb into the passive voice. Thus, 떨쳐지다 means "to be shaken off."
In the context of the breakdown, the line is:
비가 내리면 음… 나를 둘러싸는 / 시간의 숨결이 떨쳐질까? (When it rains... will I break free from the breath of time that surrounds me?)
Literally, the last part of that line should be "will the breath of time that surrounds me be shaken off/broken free from?" This translation, however, sounds pretty awkward, which is why I translated it in the active voice instead. As for why the songwriter decided to use 떨쳐지다 instead of 떨치다, I'm not too sure since the difference in meaning isn't that tremendous--maybe it makes the song sound poetic? That's just a guess though!
Keep in mind, you can also add -아/어/여지다 to adjectives, although it means something different. It is used to mean "to become [adjective]." 예쁘다, for example, means "to be pretty," while 예쁘지다 means "to become pretty." I have a full lesson about this structure for adjectives only here! Thanks again for the question and for your patience! 화이팅!

Note
Now that we've officially entered TTPD release month and still have minimal info about the album itself somehow...what's your current predictions about what the album is gonna sound like and what it's central theme will be? (Sorry in advance if you've already covered this recently and I missed it lol)
My guess is that it will be Midnights production with Folkmore's lyrics and the theme will be reevaluating long-harbored misconceptions about love i.e. the sharper edges of 'fairytale romances' and overcoming deep wounds that you once thought you deserved to get etc...very Red adjacent if you know what I mean.
Anyways, your(And your other anons) big brain analysis always intrigues me so I was wondering what's your thoughts on all this and why Taylor is insisting on maintaining such thick air of mystery around this project as of yet.
i don't know about production or sound - i just hope florence and her chamber pop had an influence, because i love it very much.
i have all my song-by-song predictions pinned to my blog if you want to take a look.
but overall, based on the statement we received so far (which i assume is part of the prologue, or the thesis of the album), it sounds like this will be her "defense." the whole story. the good, the bad, and the ugly. but not just the story with joe, but a statement defining her perception of her role as an artist/truth-teller.
for our evidence, she is providing:
her tarnished shield, implying she's seen a lot of conflict, but also the tarnished symbol of her family (it makes me think of the shield she created in lover and repurposed for every album since. a literal symbol of the family she was creating?)
her muses, and the pain that her lovers caused her, that she caused herself in pursuit of relationships/acceptance, and the pain of her art being used as a weapon against her (ie, "with every guitar string scar on her hand" meets "watch out dude she'll write a song about you.')
her talismans and charms, and the many way she tried to control or protect herself and her relationships (reminds me of "i'm the wind in our free-flowing sails and the liquor in our cocktails" and "wary of ... charmers, dandies and get-love-quick-schemes.")
the love bombs and this sense of foreboding, evidence that there was intent to harm.
her veins of ink - like they're running black/dark, but also, she's a songwriter, it's her life blood, and it's ink, permanent, the way a record permanently goes into the public consciousness
all's fair in love and poetry - there's no right or wrong in this kind of conflict. it implies war (all's fair in love and war), truth (as in her truth but also the honesty of art), and also a lack of remorse. i mean, why should she feel sorry? it's her art. it's love. there are no rules.
the chairman of ttpd - time to teach some lessons.

Here we go, I've had this queued since August. This interview from NPR has lived rent free in my head for years. I think about it constantly.
"'What the f*** does 'ba-dee-ya' mean?' And he essentially said, 'Who the f*** cares?' [...] I learned my greatest lesson ever in songwriting from him, which was never let the lyric get in the way of the groove."
-Allee Willis, on co-writing September with Earth, Wind and Fire leader Maurice White.
Never let the lyric get in the way of the groove! Words to live by, always and forever.

Meet the Literature Club
Hey! Monika here! Welcome to our official Literature Club Blog!
It was my idea!
Yes it was <3 Now, we wanted to do a blog introduction before we start posting, wherein we say a little about ourselves and what we’ll individually be sharing.
I’ll go first! Hello, I’m Sayori! I’m 17, I’m a Libra, and I love poetry! I love fruits and pastries, and I have plenty of stuffed animals, and I love my friends. She/Her is fine and I’m from Japan. I would really love to be a teacher and write a kids book one day, and I have a lot of ideas on what it could be about. I can also speak Korean, and I love K-Drama’s!
I’ll probably focus on posting about poetry or mental health awareness, or things that make people happy!
Thank you, Sayori. Alright, I guess it’s my turn.
My name is Monika, as I said before, and I’m 18 and a Virgo. I use She/Her pronouns, but I don’t mind They/Them usually, and I’m half Japanese, half Greek. I adore music, and I have been practicing piano since Sophomore year. I’m also currently taking lessons for violin and guitar so I have more versatility in my songwriting. In terms of literature, I usually read Dystopian or Historical Fiction, along with general history and sociology books. I enjoy modern philosophy and poetry, and I make an effort to support upcoming writers. I’d like to self-help advice, along with miscellaneous literature content.
I’ll go next.
Yo, I’m Natsuki. 17, She/Her for now, and my birthday is March 28 so I think that’s Aries. I’m Japanese, and I like music and manga. So yeah, literature wise, I like manga and some poetry, but I mainly write short stories. I like drawing too, and I like making animations— mostly of cows. I bake a lot, so maybe I could share recipes? I don’t really know yet. Okay, it’s Yuri’s turn now.
Hello, I’m Yuri. I’m 18, I use She/Her as of right now, and I’m a Taurus. I enjoy High Fantasy, Horror, Historical Fiction, Gothic Fiction, Burlesque, Surrealistic Fiction, Dystopian, Utopian—
Yuri, you are wonderful and smart as hell, but they get it, I promise.
Alright— I enjoy writing poetry and short stories, and I often write reviews, theories, and research papers on various subjects. Ideally, I’d like to share book recommendations and reviews, though this may change.
And that’s all of us!
Thank you for reading! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, and we’ll see you guys soon!

WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITY 003
SCHEDULE TYPE: VARIABLE RESTRICTIONS: see below
the selected muses have been called to a one on one meeting with either KWON SOYI ( for the female trainees ), JANG INSUNG ( for the male trainees ), or the mentors’ respective managers.
bae nathan ( @lgcnathan )
chae rua ( @lgcrua )
hirawa emi ( @lgcxmimi )
Ito mio ( @lgckyoka )
min soyoun ( @lgcsoyoun ) - MENTOR
park hyukjae ( @lgchyuk )
won yeonwoo ( @lgcyeonwoo ) - MENTOR
xu lili ( @lgclili )
TRAINEES & MENTORS ARRANGEMENTS
during the meeting, the coach/manager will inform who they have been assigned to. for this event, the arrangements were based on the workshops that the mentors have pitched along with the trainee’s responses to this event ( eg. what skills they would like to improve on, gigs that they would be interested in taking, etc ). listed below are who has been assigned to who and the basic information related to the workshop:
MIN SOYOUN - FINDING YOUR INNER VARIETY STAR ( TIER LEVEL 3 )
SKILLS GAINED THROUGH THIS WORKSHOP: PERFORMANCE, VARIETY, KOREAN
TRAINEES: CHAE RUA, PARK HYUKJAE, XU LILI
WON YEONWOO - SONGWRITING & CREATIVE EXPRESSION ( TIER LEVEL 2 )
SKILLS GAINED THROUGH THIS WORKSHOP: SINGING, PERFORMANCE, LYRIC COMPOSITION
TRAINEES: BAE NATHAN, HIRAWA EMI, ITO MIO
each of the mentors can post details about their workshops for all of the trainees to know in a separate post. if you have any questions related to the workshop that the mentor is teaching, please message the mentor mun!
IMPORTANT ( IC ) DETAILS ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS
whenever both the mentor and trainee(s) have free time in their schedules, they will meet up and have 2 hour workshops that will span across 2-3 months ( aka this term ), depending on the mentor’s schedule ( but most of the time these workshops are scheduled during SATURDAY and mentors are expected to schedule at least 6 workshop sessions ). these workshops can be categorized as one on one lessons ( so mentor + 1 trainee ) OR smaller group sessions ( mentor + 3-5 trainees ). smaller group sessions are used to let the mentor teach the theoretical and fundamentals of their workshop while one on one lessons are used to evaluate the trainee’s progress and see what needs to be worked on or focused in future lessons. all of these workshops will be done in one of the empty classrooms or practice rooms in the lgc building.
by the MIDPOINT of the workshop program, MENTORS will be having a meeting with JANG INSUNG ( for the male mentors ) or KWON SOYI ( for the female mentors ) where they will be discussing each of the trainee’s performances at the beginning and present moment. in this meeting the mentors will be asked to be honest in their feedback because this feedback will aid the trainee coaches in deciding what the trainees need to work on ( individually and collectively ) and whether they are ready to debut in their desired path ( idol/actor/model ). by the end of this meeting, both the MENTORS and the COACHES will come to an agreement over a possible ‘final’ evaluation prompt that would determine whether the trainees have learned the skills and concepts assigned to them.
after this meeting, the MENTORS will announce to the TRAINEES about the final evaluation prompt and will be spending the remaining time preparing for that until the EVALUATION days ( scheduled sometime around MARCH ), when all of the MENTORS, JANG INSUNG, and KWON SOYI will watch every single performance and give their feedback and thoughts to the trainees.
here are the final evaluations prompts ( either listed on the form AND/OR decided based on the workshop’s description ):
FINDING YOUR INNER VARIETY STAR - the final evaluation will be the variety trainers simulating a variety show for the trainees to participate in (kind of like a hodge-podge of the popular variety shows out there: weekly idol, knowing bros, amazing saturday, running man… any combination is fine, really). and the trainees will have to act like they’re guests in the variety show and have to be confident as they show off what they learned in the workshop (whether it’s being confident in their special talent, wittily bantering with the trainers, embracing their inner competitive sides, etc) while still being respectful and TV appropriate.
SONGWRITING & CREATIVE EXPRESSION - for the final evaluation, trainees will perform their original song, written to one of yeonwoo's melodies, in front of him, the coach and the group. the performance will be evaluated on lyrical creativity, emotional delivery, and stage presence. this final showcase will highlight the trainees' progress and their ability to adapt guidance into their songwriting and performance.
once the evaluation is done, the trainee will meet up with their coach ( KWON SOYI or JANG INSUNG ) to discuss their honest thoughts about the workshop, what lessons they’ve learned from the experience, and if there are any new skills or aspects that they would like to work on in the near future.
POINT REWARDS
as shown above, each of the workshops are given tier levels. this is determined based on the skills the mentors have chosen along with their notoriety and can be changed in the future depending on how many mentors and trainees sign up. for both the MENTOR and TRAINEE, the tier levels will also reflect the number of maximum points one can get for completing the task(s).
TIER 2 ( FOR BAE NATHAN, HIRAWA EMI, ITO MIO, WON YEONWOO ): completing one of the writing requirements listed below will earn you +15 POINTS IN THE SKILLS CHOSEN ( please refer to ‘skills gained in the workshop’ section to see which skill(s) you can put the points in ). since there are multiple writing prompt options for both the mentor and trainee, you can complete up to 3 WRITING PROMPTS. however, you can only do the writing prompt once ( for example, if you wanted to do a thread with another trainee, you can only do it once so the other two writing requirements will have to be about something else ). if you complete 2 of the writing requirements, you will earn +30 POINTS IN THE SKILLS CHOSEN OVERALL. similarly, if you complete the maximum ( 3 ) writing requirements, you will earn +45 POINTS IN THE SKILLS CHOSEN OVERALL ( please refer to ‘skills gained in the workshop’ section to see which skill(s) you can put the points in ). TIER 3 ( FOR CHAE RUA, MIN SOYOUN, PARK HYUKJAE, XU LILI ): completing one of the writing requirements listed below will earn you +20 POINTS IN THE SKILLS CHOSEN ( please refer to ‘skills gained in the workshop’ section to see which skill(s) you can put the points in ). since there are multiple writing prompt options for both the mentor and trainee, you can complete up to 3 WRITING PROMPTS. however, you can only do the writing prompt once ( for example, if you wanted to do a thread with another trainee, you can only do it once so the other two writing requirements will have to be about something else ). if you complete 2 of the writing requirements, you will earn +40 POINTS IN THE SKILLS CHOSEN OVERALL. similarly, if you complete the maximum ( 3 ) writing requirements, you will earn +60 POINTS IN THE SKILLS CHOSEN OVERALL ( please refer to ‘skills gained in the workshop’ section to see which skill(s) you can put the points in ).
just like some of the side events, completing none, some, or all of the requirements ooc wise can have some positive or negative consequences for your muse so it’s up to you whether the muse would participate ( except for mentors who are required to do it anyways ).
WRITING REQUIREMENTS
FOR TRAINEES
as a reminder, you just need to complete ONE requirement to receive the minimum number of points possible but can do a maximum of THREE to receive the maximum number of points.
write a 4 replies ( minimum 8 lines, two posts per mun ) thread with another trainee taking the same workshop as you about learning about the workshop or practicing on the assignment/evaluation.
write a 4 replies ( minimum 8 lines, two posts per mun ) thread with your assigned mentor about the workshops ( small group sessions/one on one lessons ). in this thread, it must mention at least one struggle that the trainee is having difficulty with regarding the workshop.
write a 250+ word solo about the trainee muse working on the skills related to the workshop.
write a 250+ word solo about how your muse handled their assigned evaluation.
write a 300+ word solo or headcanon post about the trainee having a discussion with the coach ( KWON SOYI or JANG INSUNG ) talking about their thoughts related to the workshop. the coaches might ask questions such as, “what did you consider the easiest/hardest part(s) of the workshop?”, “were there any critical topics left uncovered? if there was, what topics do you hope to learn in the future?”, “how would you rate your overall satisfaction with the workshop?”, “what was the most valuable part of the workshop for you?”, “would you be interested in a follow-up or advanced workshop on the same topic?” you only need to answer at least THREE of the questions mentioned.
FOR MENTORS
as a reminder, you just need to complete ONE requirement to receive the minimum number of points possible but can do a maximum of THREE to receive the maximum number of points.
write a 4 replies ( minimum 8 lines, two posts per mun ) thread with one of your assigned trainees about one of the one on one lessons. in this thread, it must mention at least one struggle that the trainee is having difficulty with regarding the workshop.
write a 4 replies ( minimum 8 lines, two posts per mun ) thread with one of your assigned trainees ( must be a different muse than the one above ) about one of the group sessions. you can talk about helping one of the trainees with a particular task given to them, teaching them a concept related to the workshop, etc.
write a 250+ word solo about the mentor preparing for one of the upcoming group sessions or one on one lessons.
write a 300+ word solo or headcanon post about the mentor having a meeting with the coach ( KWON SOYI or JANG INSUNG ). possible topics to think about for this meeting are: their thoughts about how they feel as a mentor, the trainees’ progress, possible evaluation ideas ( do note that what was mentioned in this post is the final evaluation prompt that the mentor and coaches agreed upon ), and/or what they could do to improve the workshop. the post must cover at least three of the topics mentioned and you can include additional questions related to the topics if you wish.
write a 250+ word headcanon post ( this would be written similarly to a form of a journal/feedback report ) discussing the mentor’s thoughts about their assigned trainees comments and criticisms with their final evaluation. you could do it in terms of discussing each of the trainees in their group and what the mentor thought about their performance OR you could do it by picking one or two trainees who did the best with the evaluation prompt.
make sure to tag all your threads with lgc:workshops. to validate your skill points and collect your notoriety points, please submit the following form ONCE on the points blog before MARCH 29, 2025 11:59PM EDT.

hello, friends! this is so late, but that tracks for me... 😅 anyway, you can call me 𝒋𝒂𝒄𝒆 & some of you may remember me when i was here a rather long time ago. i had a muse named jeong kian, & another named lee yuan ( aka the common denominator, iykyk ). i was feeling ✨ nostalgic ✨ about them recently, so i decided to introduce a newer muse of mine to this space, one inspired by yuan, but less of an agent of chaos, & i hope you enjoy getting to know him ( oh, & please like this post for plots )!
his name is 𝒚𝒖𝒏 𝒅𝒂𝒆𝒖𝒍. he was born on 20041002 in seoul, & someday, he hopes to become a main/lead vocalist, a singer-songwriter, & full-time hedonist...
🌙
daeul grew up in seoul as the son of a religious philanthropist / accountant, & a choir director. his family are devout catholics, & though he never enjoyed having to sit still for long hours in church, when he got old enough, he discovered his love of singing after joining his church's choir. his mother, its director, was overjoyed to see that she had something of a prodigy on her hands. she always bragged about how he must've been given the same musical gifts as her, a "blessing by god himself" if you will.
growing up, he learned quickly that, the likelihood of the people in his life accepting him for who he is was dramatically low, so he adjusted by painting on the most charming face he could, & keeping his real self hidden from them. there's truth to his charm, it's something he possesses to this day, but as a child, it was often amplified & used as mask. sadly, there was nothing more lethal-seeming to him than to be disliked or unloved. this is also something he possesses to this day.
for years, he appeased his parents & never focused on himself. when he wasn't at school or studying, he was working on his vocals, or he was attending piano lessons, or he was at church. all of his time was filled whatever they wanted him to do, & though their praise of him was nice to hear, he realized that it didn't feel meaningful. ever. their love started to feel superficial, & he was partly to blame. without realizing it, he manufactured himself into the perfect filial son, & the pressure of keeping that image up started to feel crushing.
where he truly found himself was in the hallways at school. an all boys' catholic school, at that ( it's giving bare: the musical / bare: a pop opera for all you musical theatre fans ). this is where he fell in love over & over again, where he wrote the best music he's ever written, & where he, strangely, felt more free than ever before. sure, the "freedom" he found was often in the form of sneaking around campus, hiding under bleachers, & staying after hours in the music room to kiss other boys, but it helped him put the pieces of himself together more.
then, he decided to be bold & audition for legacy entertainment. his boyfriend at the time encouraged him, saying that his voice was too good not to be heard on a wider scale, & feeling confident, he put his best foot forward & took a chance. little did they know, the company would decide to take a chance on him, as well. this is where his life changed entirely, & despite still being shackled to the strictness of a highly respected entity in the industry, he still feels more free than ever before. now, his entire life is steeped in music & creativity, & he's ultimately very happy; much happier than he was back at home.
now, how do his parents feel about all of this? well, they don't know about any of his high school shenanigans—thank goodness!—but in regard to his career as an idol, they're not very pleased. they miss him in church, as he's stopped going entirely, & they've noticed a change in him that they don't think is a positive one. unfortunately for them though, daeul strongly disagrees. he's never felt better. he wishes they were happy for him, but he's learning not to care so much about what they want for him.
no, this new chapter of life, he's vowed to focus on what he wants for himself. please wish him luck on this new journey forward!
as far as plots are concerned, i'd love anything & everything! i'm a sucker for plots that include a lot of depth. as for daeul, he's a fan of a lot of romance. it could take on many forms, be they past or present, & he'd eat 'em all up like they're spoonfuls of lemon & honey.
despite deciding to be more "selfish" after leaving home, he's still a good friend to have around. he's there for everyone he loves. he'd also love music collaborators, duet partners, literally anyone that fuels him creatively, & that he can fuel creatively, too.
i'm sure some of his relationships with people aren't ideal, & he's still rather uncomfortable with the idea of anyone disliking him. he tries so hard to be pleasant & keep the peace ( typical libra sun ), but i'm sure some people can sense that some of that is fake. feel free to give him a hard time about it.
other side of the coin, being that he enjoys the finger things in life, daeul can occasionally come across as snobbish. maybe he said or did something that pissed your muse off, or he came across really disconnected during a conversation; something!
typically i prefer to brainstorm, so as mentioned above, feel free to like this post & i'll reach out to you for plotting. so excited for what we can come up with together!

annotation of my song 'Into the AM': message for songwriters on the app knowing their reasons
write like a journal
you don't need lessons, like write like you're singing it with passion but like it's your last day to live
stress for the hell out of being yourself
ache for a dream, not for the sake of pain

just be okay with dying knowing i rejected your hand in marriage cuz i'm not easy to bullet you with advice let alone you failing to follow them, i have standards to keep up (qiyamat), so you know who i am
Tumblr media
schizophrenia Madonna's whore complex: the idea of a night time, so you hate being with me as a stargazing wanderer enough for you to sleep with me knowing intuitively that i want freedom, so i wander wonder now who the fck are you? and why do you pose as a God that i fashionably made you reconsider your options quickly than the movie Stardust cuz you know damn well that the energy of it is Charlie Cox written all over but you're trying to deep throat it like you ain't good enough for me to wait for a Tristan to you waiting for a 'Missed Them' and proceed to write the same song later about a certain shooting star like you can suck my non existing fat co- you're gay, aren't you lmao, ur history, i love dwelling in your history of believing in a post-mortem fairytale bullshit, like i can tell you that you believed in me enough for you to not do it so the lyrics emphasised on your regret after you see 'her' being with someone else lightyears after you saw her in one second and her standards are gone in a flash and you act like she died or smtg, u ain't a genius if u had parents bro, like ur last khutbah was not airing that Friday when ur Dad was like 'it could save ur life one day' an u chose to drown, boo hoo fck you, i got better things to do :P *middle finger*
schizophrenia Hollywood: i believe in a God cuz of a mf Simpsons episode, i don't get the hate for the newer episodes but all i know is that relevancy is well kept in a couch gag (like don't tell me ur mf ass is still not into watching them still or ur lying ha ha) so i'm spontaneous and i like my animation as deep as i love arguing for the hell of loving conspiracy theories, like fite me in an argument if you dare or make convo via heart intuition cuz i know ur black ass is still there, point point i know. HA!
schizophrenia hate: *to all my bitches i got in a list of everything i love and hate* FUCK YOU, I'M FAMOUS, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH SUCK ON MY DEMONIC FREE FREEDOM ASS YOU SPONTANEOUS DUCK BASTARDS, HAHA I'M KEEPING THIS REFERENCE FOR MY INTERVIEWS LIKE A GOD I AM, FUCK YOU HOES, WHORES AND PEACE-LOVING FAMILY MOBS SUCKING DICKHEADS, ILY ALL RLLY, BUT I H8 U ALL FOR FCKING UP MY 14YO ASS LIKE THAT SO IM THERE FOR HER AND I NEVUH FOHGAHT, HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BULLIED KIDS WIN BABES, U LUUUUUUUZE *middle fingers her enemies like a God*

Isn't it lovely? (Santiago Garcia x OC)
Tumblr media
Santiago Garcia x Singer/Songwriter!OC
Mentioned platonic Frankie Morales x OC
(Santiago refers to her as the nickname "Songbird," but real name is Valerie) Inspired by the song "Lovely" by Billie Eilish (with Khalid)
Series Masterlist
Ari's note: This is pure angst and fluff. Some adult language, usage of alcohol and some spoilers for Triple Frontier. This song somehow keeps showing up on my Spotify rotation. It is very beautiful and heartbreaking. I wanted to write something that deals with this song and somehow it reminds me of Santi.
The rain putters on the window seal.
Seattle.
The warm air fills the room with comfort from the cold, rainy weather outside. Started playing with the keys of the keyboard that someone that I loved bought me for my birthday. Pulls out a small yellow notebook with song lyrics. A familiar tone that I used to play around with when we hang out together.
“Happy Birthday, songbird. You can finally become the real Piano Man,” he joked before taking another gulp of beer as he played with my then-shaggy, long black hair. It was my birthday a few years earlier. A few days before the boys went down to South America and fucked shit up there. Santi hosted the festivities at his house. The boys, their partners, and a few of our mutual friends met up and had dinner. Santi wanted to make his present special.
“Honestly, Frankie could have made that joke, but you honestly made the joke somehow shittier,” laughs softly as I play my legs in his lap. He gives the classic “you know you love me” smirk as he gives me a soft kiss.
“Frankie would have requested Sweet Caroline, but knowing you,” he holds my chin in his hand as he makes look at him in his sweet brown eyes, “you would be performing in stadiums soon, not in a bar. I will be by your side when you headline your first show.”
I moved to Seattle a few years back after the guy I last loved left me for a trip that, according to him, “broke him from the inside out.” I did music before I met him. Choir and piano lessons since I was six. If you are talking to my mother about my musical talents, she blames my father who was a musician that performed at the family bar. Started writing some wanderlust type songs, but never really got anywhere in Florida.
Frankie was the one who introduced us. I am the girl “who can sing Taylor Swift better than Taylor Swift without making it annoying.” He was the pain in the ass that Frankie would constantly tell him to ask me out. He saw I brought out a softer side to Santi, even though Santi is a horrible singer.
When he broke it off with me, he blamed how the fucked the mission was from the beginning, how Tom fucking died, how he was worried what was going to happen to him and his squad, and he was worried how we was going to explain this to me. He wanted his share of the money to go to me so we could move and start my music career.
“Songbird, I fucking love you but I need you to understand that I am doing this to set you free. You don’t need me anymore. I am sorry.” He kissed me like this was the last kiss that he was going to ever take with me. Four years of passion, long-distance phone calls, and stale beer thrown away like Tom’s body near the Andes.
That was the last time I saw him.
Three Years Later
I am back in humid Florida, visiting family and Frankie and performing at a local music venue. I step up on stage. Getting a warm welcome from my hometown crowd. Under the bright stage, I see Frankie and the boys… and then I see him.. Drinking a Bud Light in one hand, and wearing an old baseball cap. His hair and stubble is more gray. He looks tired, not wanting to be there. Worried that Frankie brought him to a trap. I move towards the piano and start playing the song that somehow people are recognizing themselves to. My soft, yet powerful alto voice sings the lyrics when I was alone by myself in Seattle.
“Thought I found a way
Thought I found a way out (found)
But you never go away (never go away)
So I guess I gotta stay now
Oh, I hope someday I'll make it out of here
Even if it takes all night or a hundred years
Need a place to hide, but I can't find one near
Wanna feel alive, outside I can't fight my fear
Isn't it lovely? All alone
Heart made of glass, my mind of stone
Tear me to pieces, skin to bone
Hello, welcome home”
As I look up into the crowd, I stare into his eyes like I did years ago. Making me realizing that the song is hurting him the same way he hurt me all of those years prior. I tried to focus on anyone, but him. Tears swell up as I think of us at our happiest as I sing aloud.
“Walking out of time
Looking for a better place
Something's on my mind
Always in my head space
But I know someday I'll make it out of here
Even if it takes all night or a hundred years
Need a place to hide, but I can't find one near
Wanna feel alive outside I can't fight my fear
Isn't it lovely? All alone
Heart made of glass, my mind of stone
Tear me to pieces, skin to bone
Hello. Welcome home
Whoa, yeah
Yeah, ah
Whoa, whoa
Hello, welcome home”
I hear a mass applause from the crowd as I quickly wipe my tears as I look towards the crowd.
I see Santi and Frankie gone. I focused on the rest of my set that focused on songs from my album and a few covers of Fleetwood Mac.
After the show, I head backstage towards my dressing room. I see Santi standing there, mad and regretful at what he did to me. His knuckles are bloody, which he fought with Frankie in the parking lot.
“Songbird, listen to me-”
“Don’t… just don’t call me.. the bullshit you pulled forfeits the right to call me that.”
“Valerie, I am sorry. I fucked up. I should have told you the truth from the beginning.”
“Santi, it is not that… you fucked up this relationship by using Tom’s fucking death for a reason to end it… That is not a good enough excuse for me. Why are you here?”
“When Frankie told me that you were coming into town, I was scared shitless. The money was for you.”
“Santiago Garcia, don’t be fucking with me about this. The one time I see you are telling more bullshit.”
“Val, that money for you and I to spend a life together.” He takes a deep sigh and runs his fingers through his hair. “That money was for you to actually start your career.”
“Bullshit… absolute bullshit! Stop lying to me just to save your own ass.” He grabs my arm and pulls me back in my dressing room. He locked the door.
“That song.. You wrote that about us…”
“I was hurting. Frankie was the only of you assholes to reach out.” Santiago is shocked; he knew Frankie and I were close, but never knew the impact that our relationship had. “Ben couldn’t even look me in the face when I saw him in Seattle.”
“So you wrote a fucking break-up song, Val? I know I was a dick by how I treated you, but I am telling the truth” He sounds more hurt than angry. The song made him seem like the biggest asshole in the world.
“I wrote it because you left me the minute you came back. I was angry. I was in a town by myself, wishing you called and said that you made a fucking mistake, but you didn’t.” Santi grabs me by my now-long dyed red hair and kisses me like he did three years earlier.
“I love you, Val.. and I am sorry for what I did.”
I walked out of the door; not being able to stay there another second without crying. As I head to my rental car after grabbing my stuff, tears stream down my eyes as I whisper to myself in the car, “I love you too.”
