Fan magazine features and reviews on 1931′s The Mad Parade.  This film tells the story of nine army nurses on the front lines of WWI France, and was the first film to feature an all-woman cast.  Cutlines and text, in post order:
Cast photo from an article in Picture Play Magazine, May 1931, p. 54:
In the first no-man film, “The Mad Parade,” are, left to right, the Keating Twins, June Clyde, Marceline Day, Fritzi Ridgeway, Louise Fazenda, Irene Rich, Lilyan Tashman, and Evelyn Brent.
Review from Photoplay, July 1931, p. 52:
Before you swear off all war pictures forever, see tis and get a final thrill. This tale of women’s hearts is even more poignant than any picturization of what war did to men. Evelyn Brent, brilliant as a diamond, gives a grand performance. June Clyde steals second dramatic honors. Lilyan Tashman, Louise Fazenda, Fritzi Ridgeway rate special praise.
Review from Screenland, September 1931, p 85:
Here’s that all-woman picture you have heard about. It’s a human, stirring film of the women’s side of the war, and it is crowded with good performances. Evelyn Brent, the star, is more appealing than she has been in several screen seasons. Louise Fazenda has her best comedy chances in months. Pretty June Clyde will surprise you.

2022: Paul Herman, attore statunitense.
