i think the burnout is already here 🤕 i wanna do a little rewatch or even just rewatch a FEW episodes but it feels like a chore to me and i can never do it #fuckdepression. also im just very not normal about yellowjackets so i stim all the time while watching.. and i don't rly have any top media that im obsessed with rn...which may be the issue 🤔 i was thinking of watching hacks and 6 feet under (lauren ambrose i have feelings for you) bc ive been seeing SO many tiktoks about it and i need to get on the wave. but also the bear is coming back soon so im looking forward to that!!!! If Life is a Game Then Treat Yourself Like a Videogame Character

I don’t know about y’all but lately I’ve been thinking about life like a videogame and I think it’s working. 

- Hanging out with a friend soon? Mana restored!

-Buying healthier food from the store? Max health increased! 

-Managed a whole day/week/month without an anxiety attack? Level up!

-Folded your laundry but didn’t have the energy to put it away? Is your health low? Does your character need sleep? When did your character eat? Is their thirst bar low? 

-Is there a place you can’t go to or something that seems unpassable? That’s okay, keep exploring, keep gathering tools and XP maybe you’ll figure it out later. 

-Want the good ending? Maybe purposefully choosing to be nice to the NPCs will help. Who knows where the plot of this game is going. 

As someone who has a nice mix of anxiety, depression, and some trauma dashed in I know that every little help counts. Heck, buying nice smelling sensi wax and almond soap helps. Drinking more water didn’t cure my depression, but it made me feel less sick. Buying a nice shirt for myself didn’t cure my anxiety, but I felt less like a weirdo wearing clothes that I’ve had for six years. 

This helped especially since I struggle with religious trauma. Life isn’t controlled by an all knowing deity. When bad things happen sometimes I didn’t deserve it. 

It’s time I took the controller back and played the game my way.
