FIRST OFF, LOVED THE EPISODES

the acting was amazing, especially ranboos seeing as in the first episode they literally got injured bc of a wire, AND THE FINAL SCENE?? had me crying bro i did not expect my streamer to be begging for death!! nikis crying in episode two was also MARVELOUS

ALSO HE HAD A CHANCE TO LIVE WHEN I FOUND OUT (the behind the scenes gl account said that there was an actual live option!) GUT ABSOLUTELY WRENCHING (like patient charlie!! too soon?)

WHEN THE VOTE ENEED AND THE BOX CLOSED, THEY SIDNT DIE IMMEDIATELY. YOU CAN SEE THEM FUCKING TWITCH JUST A BIT AND SECONDS LATER THEY GO LIMP

seeing him crying for us to let him live, then to let him die, and the pure fucking emotions you can hear in their voice AND THAT YOU CAN SEE

the point in episode two when sneeg FIGURED OUT WHAG WAS HAPPENEINF AND ALMOST ESCAPED JSUT TO BECOME PART OF THR MACHINE MY JAW WAS ON. THE. FLOOR. AND WHEN NIKI DIED? THEN VINNY(??) DIED?? THEN IT WAS ETHAN (i believe that was the first blood that’s wasn’t a “glitch”!! AND ENDING IT WITH SNEEG AND AUSTIN GETTING CRUSHED

I DID NOT TRUST THE HUTCH GUY (?? the hacker dude??) THE WAY THEY REFUSED TO LET RANBOO JUST ESCAPE AND THEN WAS ALL LIKE “oh they’re safe!! yeah the weird spaghetti ennard wire monster that is actively trying to get you won’t!! and neither will the security “people” who are just standing there!! why are you shutting the door you’re fine!!” PLUS THEY REFUSED TO ANSWER ANY OF RANBOOS WUESTIONS ABT STUFF LIKE HOW LONG HAVE I BEEN HERE YADADA

RANBOO WAS TAPPING SOS IN BOTH EPISODE ONE AND TWO (AT LEAST ONCE FROM WHAT IVE SEEN)

IN EPISODE 1 WHEN HE WAS LAYING DOWN ON THE COUCH (i believe from intermission?) THEY WERE TAPPING IT ON THE SIDE OF THE COUCH

ALSO, IN EPISODE 2 IN THE FASHION ROOM WHEN I THINK THEY WERE TURNED AROUND FOR THE SECOND TIME, HES STANDING NEXT TO ETHAN NAD THEYRE ZONING OUT TAPPING IT, THEN THEIR HAND STOPS HIM. ???

i truly believe that the bow from the exit to reveal (whom we thought was dead) hutch was cinematic. absolutely disgusting to know that i was right abt my feeling abt them, but it was still a great twist.

the painting? that’s in charlies room?? he’s able to put his fingers together, unlike the demon charlie earlier when ranboo was making food. my thought was that it was charlie before he got turned into the slime demon, but now idk what to make of it

Generation Loss is a comedic tragedy in every sense of the word. Every character we see exemplifies this fact, but no one other than The Austin Show proves its truth.

We begin at the carousel. Austin, Gay, takes his turn by pleading for himself to live because he has a wife and children back home. The rest of the cast interrogates him about his “wife and kids,” clearly suspicious of his truthfulness without even knowing his dubbed “title.” Everyone in the room treats Austin like a joke.

In turn, so do we.

Next, we reach the closet and shortly after the failed drag show, Austin remarks, “Look, I uh… I didn’t expect to die here.” It’s a moment of pure honesty, whether we like it or not. It happens again when the Puzzler tries to party with them, and Austin has to angrily remind him that they are his captives and are actively trying to kill them.

Austin: “What are you doing? What are you doing? What are you doing? We're trying to get out of here. I have children and wives— wife. One wife! What is this some sort of game? I’ve been stuck in hear for hours it seems. We’re trying to get out. Why is nobody else freaking out? We’ve got C4 strapped to our neck…”

It isn’t until Ethan’s death, his blood pooling out from underneath the door, Austin screaming at the others, begging them to have a reaction, to care about their circumstances, to care about death, that we finally understand Austin’s role in Generation Loss.

After all, in every great comedy, someone always has to play the straight man.

A little emotional here, but:

I was here since generation loss was first ever mentioned or hinted towards. I was there when Ranboo was still deciding on the name. I was there for the OG jacket pic and the voice recordings and all the cryptic messages in the ranmail channel on the discord server. I was there for the release of T_1 on the genloss channel, and I remember watching game theory’s video as soon as it came out and then immediately going to watch Ranboo’s reaction to it. I remember all the crazy fanart where people were theorising what it could be about, I remember doing The Inauguration several times over to see if any choices had secret messages that came with them and I showed it to my family and friends too. I remember the hype as more update videos got released. I remember Ranboo’s tiktok where he said he would duet/stitch it when he had finished with his big project. I remember the website becoming a thing and me signing up the very second I heard about it. I remember sitting in class, manually copying down the binary code messages from The Game number by number to translate them. I remember making a google doc and analysing every video and every tweet.

Now I’m sitting here, and Gen Loss was considered as a nomination for an Emmy. The Gen Loss I’ve been following since it wasn’t even called Gen Loss, the Gen Loss that started out as just some voice recordings in a discord channel, has gotten this far. Seeing so many new people coming together over this, seeing it gain so much traction and attention, people fresh into the community talking theories and looking back at old clips and videos… fucking hell, it makes me emotional.

I don’t want to refer to myself as an “og fan” here because I hate the implication that me being an older fan makes me more valid than newer fans, which it absolutely does not. But the growth and development of it all just hits so much harder, because I was there for it all. And hell, I can’t imagine how it must be for Ranboo. I really, really do hope that he’s as proud of himself as we are of him. And I’m also so proud of and grateful for the cast and crew that made it possible. Overall, I am so thrilled by Gen Loss’ success, and I can’t wait to see what’s coming next. And the glerch is awesome.
