The GISH 2021 mini-hunt is currently in full swing, and some of the DDN staff members are participating, but we need your help.

One of the challenges is to collect donations for indigenous women in Ecuador through GoFundMe. To qualify, we need donations from ten people who are not our team. Donations are a minimum of $10 USD and due by 9pm CST.

My entries for the Mini Gish hunt in March 2021! It was a crazy weekend full of fun, panic, and pride of our creations. My team was amazing.

Day Three in @celerymoondesigns’ #12DaysofCosmas is “Adventure”! One of the Items in the March 2021 @gish Wizards & Weirdos Mini Hunt asked teams to make a collage of team members dressed as fantasy characters highlighting their special skills (or something along those lines). I thought I could be a “Traveller of Realms” (because librarian/fangirl) & then decided to throw a bunch of elements from different costumes together to assemble an #Aasimarcosplay? 💖🕊✨🏰🌿 Is this my Pathfinder character #LinnaeaGreenbriar with wings somehow (maybe a Hierophant thing? Maybe something like the WoW Glyph of Angels that I still need to get in-game when I return to Azeroth someday)? Is this another character? Item 3

Craft a puzzle or riddle whose solution is the phrase “We Create, Therefore We Live”. You may encode it however you choose, keeping in mind that puzzles don’t need to be visual or 2-dimensional, so get as creative as you like.

Item 7

Cantrip Candles’ candles focus on creating immersive sensory experiences through scent. Identify a strong, positive scent memory from your past (or a member of your household’s past) and attempt to recreate the scent as a candle. You may use old scraps of candles or wax, cotton thread or floss, a recycled glass jar or other non-conductive container, essential oils, and non-flammable elements from your kitchen. Submit a photo of your candle with elements in the picture that indicate what the smell was, and comment with how successful you were. Remember: safety first!

Lawn gnomes are essential workers — you know this, because you and your family do this noble work. Take a photo of you all (or just you if you’re flying solo) during your shift working as a “lawn gnome” on your lawn. If you’re with others, you should be physically distanced and wearing masks. (If you don’t have a lawn or garden, you can also be gnomes anywhere around your gnome… we mean “home.”)

For the last 10 years, we’ve made Skittles art in homage to Jensen Ackles, and that’s a tradition we’re keeping — but there are many other legendary public figures who also deserve Skittlification: create a piece of art in any style you like (painting, sculpture, mosaic, watercolors, etc.) of a vibrant notable figure that shines bright in your world using Skittles or its packaging exclusively. Tag their social media accounts and use hashtag #Skittlebrities. Submit your original image and a link to your public social media post.

Felicia Day, aka Charlie, the Queen of Moondor, knows all too well: heavy is the head that wears the crown, because it’s made out of precious stones… as in rocks. Create a rockin’, huge crown bedazzled in rocks and pebbles. Post it on social media, tagging #GISH and @feliciaday. Make sure you don’t disturb a habitat or ecosystem, naturally!

Trans women are women and everyone belongs here, but some turf just doesn’t get it. Make a clear-cut statement: mow a message that states “Trans Women are Women” into a grass lawn so we can read it — the bigger, the better. If you don’t have a lawn, make a Cup that reads, “Trans Women are Women: All are welcome in this House.”) Post it to social media tagged #GISH and @translifeline. Submit the image and put a link to your post in the comment.

Email isn’t as secure as it should be, so I used a charm to hide a poem in your books. To retrieve it: Pick up the first 9 books that catch your attention and record the 9th word on the 9th page in each book along with the first and last words of each book. Use the 27 words to write the poem. (You may employ many additional “and”s “if”s “but”s, “a”s “or”s or “the”s as you like.)
