if you’ve been wanting to yap about the music you like and share it with other people, then you’re in luck because i have found myself in need of new music to listen to and add to my playlists because i LOVE music and i want more!!!! so with that being said, i would like to ask all of you to pitch in and provide a playlist of your favorite songs (or just any song you want to share, really) on spotify for me to listen to!! it can be anywhere from 5-100 songs as long as it’s not TOO long of a listen LOL
i also feel the need to aggressively throw the songs i like at other people, so if you’re also looking for new music, i made a playlist of all my favorite songs over the years in case you wanted to listen to it! it’s got 80 songs in it and it’s about 4 and a half hours long, but you don’t need to listen to it all if you don’t want to! it’s sorta like a you-share-your-music-and-i-share-mine kinda deal
anyway, give me all your silly little wiggly air to force into my earholes because i need more music to listen to! i might even rank my favorite songs from your playlist once i finish listening to it, so i’m looking forward to hearing all of your favorite music!!!!!
here’s the link to the playlist i made: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4vKKowe5heH1fACIHXpfRY?si=6mWlAvSPSpqiQLiyz2ObMw&pi=u-AjEvlpgYR4Su
Hey, psst, over here. Self ship artists, this is your sign to make that drawing, animatic, PV, or AMV of your self ship that you've been daydreaming about while listening to that one song. Doesn't matter what the song is, if it's overrated, extremely niche, or if others think it's cringe. Have fun with it and try out a new medium to tell your story with your F/O :D
Do NOT Interact: Pro//Ship + Neutral, adults who ship with minors, and real people shippers
AKA the part where I make you all listen to Kiltro because it's a very underrated band.
Idk it's one of those situations were there are lots of songs that fits better with the characters, but for some reason there's still a strong association.
Every character Jeremy Jordan plays just becomes a silly little guy by virtue of the Jeremy Jordan Is A Silly Little Guy Principle. And the characters get sillier if he returns to the character
Jack Kelly - silly little guy with newspapers (silly guyified between OBC and proshot)
Clyde Barrow - silly guy with a gun (soooo much sillier of a guy in proshot vs OBC)
Dr Pomatter -silly little doctor guy
JM Barrie - silly goofy little guy with bonus trauma ending
Seymour Krelborn - the og silly little guy and Jeremy makes him the silliest
Jay Gatsby - a very silly little guy (the only role I’ve seen him in live and can confirm indeed very silly)
The fact that Joost got disqualified yet we still don't fully know what the hell happened yet is super sketchy...
Also the fact that one of the most (if not the most) beloved songs this year got disqualified is a really, really bad move on EBU's part...
Everyone better be prepared for tonight...
it's ridiculously stupid they've already lost about 90% of dutch viewers with this move and I'm sure they'll lose many international viewers as well because Europapa was so popular. This whole scandal is so ridiculously hypocritical and it looks and feels like a total setup. It feels entirely manufactured both to turn our eyes away from the cruelty in Rafah and to boost Israel in the final results.
They won't tell us the full story because they know it's unfair and hypocritical, Joost does not deserve any of this and I am so so saddened to see him turned into a scapegoat at the event that he's worked towards for years and years.
Did you know that Procreate doesn't have a lot of the standard filter/effects tools that Photoshop and Clip Studio have?
For the most part I'm A-OK fine living without those, but the one that boggles my mind is that Procreate doesn't have a stroke feature.
I bring this up because I use stroke a lot for subtle things, and I use it a lot for graphic things (like comic binding boxes, lettering, etc.)... and, for the current illustration, I used it for almost the entire background.
So do you want to know the stupid way to simulate the stroke effect in Procreate?
SURE YOU DO.
You have to duplicate the item, or lines, you want to have a stroke effect on... You then move it below your object/lines, gausian blur the duplicate beneath to 2 - 3%, then keep duplicating that blurred copy and merging it with itself until the extra selection of pixels created by the blur are, once more, solid. It's a lot of duplicating and merging.
PROCREATE, PLEASE, THIS IS YOUR ONLY TRUE FLAW. Please add a stroke tool my family is starving.
(this is what helps when people are talking to me, and when I'm talking to my relatives)
Make sure they can see your mouth. Lip-reading helps with clarity, and facing them while you talk also helps a lot with volume. People are really bad about getting your attention, starting to say something, then turning away mid sentence. Stay facing them the whole time!!! (People are the worst about this while we are shopping together!)
Be comfortable with repeating yourself. Either they will ask you to repeat yourself, or you will realize they misheard you. Both of these are fine- just repeat yourself clearly and make sure they can see your face while you do. "Never mind" makes me sad :(
If someone misheard you: try rewording your sentence! Maybe certain sounds are harder for them to hear than other sounds. Instead of "grab that shampoo!" three times at increasing volume, try "grab that blue bottle, the one next to the conditioner" or "I like that dandruff shampoo up there, can you put it in the cart?" There are a lot of ways to rephrase things that will give the person you're talking to more chances to understand, and it feels much less patronizing for everyone. And make sure you're facing them so they can see your mouth!!!
If someone misheard you: try a Yes, And approach. If your grandma didn't understand your question and starts telling you an unrelated story, enjoy it! When she is finished, thank her, and then try asking your question again with more clarity, or worded differently. "No, that's not what I said" is much less enjoyable for everyone involved.
Enjoy your conversation! Not everything needs to be understood perfectly. The important thing is that you are spending time together and talking to each other. Each conversation is a journey and you will get there in the end!!!
